I've always been a huge fan of Kaspas. Unfortunately , I went there the other day and without telling anyone or me...they have apparently "changed their menu" so now...they've cut the size of the Sundaes glass to less than half but still charge full price. Was a totally rip off...and I they tried to say it's the same amount in the glass, just different size. 100% not true. Don't go there for Sundaes. As others have said, the staff can also be quite rude. It does depend who you get though. And the Canterbury branch have staff members that are so rude even the other staff feel they should come speak to you privately when the rude members aren't around.

Attended this branch at 9:30pm to order takeaway waffles, was told because it was past 9:30 at point of ordering we could only get shakes. We were greeted when arriving at the store who failed to mention this to us. Overall extremely poor service when a large chain like this refuses to serve paying customers. Please note we were not trying to place orders close to closing times stated we wanted to place an order at 9:35.

I went to the Broadstairs branch with my 4 children for my birthday. Ordered £54+ of food at 9.10 and by 9.40 we were asked to leave so they could clean the table. My 2 young girls were still eating! Rude staff fooling around like it was a youth club

The food and drinks were amazing. It was empty at the time I went. I went here for my birthday with my family. I personally suggest the Oreo waffle and mango and passion fruit bubble slush.

The waffles were amazing, staff were not. I know restaurant staff are not paid a great deal, so they done their job, they were not rude or anything, but i like to see people enjoy their jobs and take pride in the work they do. Maybe it was just a bad day and social distancing etc that put a dampner on thing

I would give 0 stars if I could!!!!! I bought strawberries drizzled in chocolate take away, eating them I thought why are the strawberries soft? I had a closer look and there rotten and discoloured. They obviously gave them with my order as they could hide them with the drizzled chocolate.

myself and my friend went to kaspas this evening with our children , there was one lady in particular who seemed to be the floor manager she was very rude and obnoxious and her customer service was terrible. I said excuse me twice and she ignored myself and my friend when she could clearly hear us calling her, she then turns her head and said yes , so we asked for 2 glasses of water and she just stared through us with no reply and went into the kitchen to make 2 glasses of lukewarm water when just minutes before she had given the same with ice cubes and straws in to another table. I’m not one to moan but there is no need for rudeness and manners don’t cost a thing food and hygiene was great

Kaspas is offering a take out service or delivery via deliveroo since lockdown. There are clear customer instructions, the restaurant is clean, offering hand sanitizer on entry and limited customers inside at any one time. It feels safe, clean and still providing enjoyable desserts fresh to order.

I AM FUUUMING! came to kaspas after a long hard day at work to find a blonde hair in my ice cream, she took them out back and singled them all out and interrogated them until one of them owned up, she then came back and said they had no blonde staff and blamed it on me and my friends. Disgusting behaviour, they’ll be hearing from the council.

Went to Kasper's today with the family, noticed sometime green on the waffle, we questioned it and the under manager stated that it was colouring from the waffle machine as they must of made a m&ms one before, when we questioned if the machines get cleaned the answer was they don't always get time to clean the waffle machines properly, when we mentioned cross contamination as this seemed to go straight over her head,,,, quite concerning!!!!!

The foreign girl that took the order must have messed it up as my partners order and my 2 daughters order came out and after 10 minutes had to ask where mine was. Half the staff were speaking in a different language ( Rude ). My daughter also asked for a glass of water which never turned up. There must have been about 20 customers in there. God knows what it would be like if they were busy.

Great menu choice, plenty of options, friendly and quick service, clean and spacious. I am a regular visitor, never been disappointed

I would just like to say a massive thank you to the girls that went out of there way to help me . Made a giant cookie for my daughters birthday made her very happy . You guys are amazing and can’t thank you enough for your help and effort you put into making a little girl very happy 😃 thank you again .

Five adults, four kids, so a varied selection off the menu which had a lot of choices.No kids (small) meals available but they we’re happy to split adult servings. For a place that would attract children the lack of child sized portions on the menu seems astonishing. Waffles topped with everything bad for you and thick various flavoured milkshakes were to die for and, with the sugar overload, too much and you might. But at least it would be with a bloated smile on your face. Prices were a bit high but hey, it was worth it. Only downside was the black forest gateau which looked good but was rather dry. Didn’t help that these selections are on display, in the heat of the cooking area. So possibly avoid the “cakie” stuff if you can. Staff were helpful and attentive, though not in your face, and polite. Place was also clean and tidy. If it wasn’t for the gateau it would have been 5 star.

We've visited this branch before and always have a nice time, this visit deserves a special mention as on this occasion we came as a family of 6, 3 of which have peanut allergies. We told our server this and she really looked after us making sure all staff were aware and being very patient with our order as well as offering to take family photos for us. She made our visit very enjoyable, we didnt get her name but she deserves a special mention aa well as the rest of the staff who were also very friendly and welcoming. The whole family loved the deserts and we will be back.

Came here for my Mums birthday with my brother and sister in law, food was great and drinks was great aswell! Staff Were nice. I'll definitely come again.

Recently visited Kaspas for a birthday treat for my husband and myself. The menu was huge and it took us ages to choose something - which is the best part of a visit anyway!!!We settled eventually for Sundaes and when they came we were not disappointed!!They were beautifully presented and took ages to get through - which is a bonus!!We also had a hot chocolate drink which is the best I have ever had.We shall be going back soon to try the Waffles and then after that the Crepes!! We shall probably need many months to do it as I am currently attending Slimming World!!! I have actually attained my goal there so as long as I don't go too often I will be ok!

I visited this establishment with my family, there was myself + 3 adults and 4 children. As soon as we were given menus, I went to the front where you make your orders and explained that I was gluten free and asked if there was much that I could have. The response I got was not very nice. The man and woman behind the counter, shrugged their shoulders and said "we ain't really got anything gluten free". They spoke amongst themselves and repeated "yeah I don't really know to be honest". I asked if there is anything that they could suggest, I got a reply of "not really". Then just started ignoring me and serving other people. I just felt as if they couldn't care about a customer that has allergies.

This is the first and last time I will visit Kaspas. A young girl was polite and showed us to a table. After ordering and paying for our food and drinks we waited over half an hour for the coffees and then a further ten minutes for our food. It was bank holiday and possibly busier than usual but there were plenty of empty seats so it was certainly nowhere near capacity. it would have helped if we had been advised of how long we would have to wait. had we not paid upfront we would have left a good ten minutes before our stuff arrived.

Great way to finish a good weekend with a visit to Kaspas for a well earned dessert. Good selection of waffles, sundies, crepes as well as smoothies, hot drinks and shakes. Reasonable prices, great service. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed by all the family.

Had a great evening at Kaspas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The choices on the menu are plentiful and they will accommodate changes if you need them. Doesn't seem to take too long to get orders out. Definitely a place to revisit.

The kids love it. Bit to much sugar but they always ask to go for dessert after swimming! Waffles are good though

Definitely somewhere we would recommend for great desserts. Everytime we visit we feel very welcome. The staff are all friendly, and very accommodating. My children love coming here, the desserts are delicious and we adults enjoy it very much too! Lovely atmosphere, and great for parties!

I took my children here for a treat, they loved there huge desserts and there thick creamy shakes, but for me it was to sickly, it’s very expensive for what it is but as a treat once in a while it’s ok, yes I would recommend this place and when I said my son had a nut allergy they really made sure that nothing was cross contaminated

Shocking from start to bad. Young and inexperienced staff; also rude. All deserts and drinks were brought out separately, despite being paid for and ordered at the same time. Orders were wrong, argumentative staff, rude management, staff giving priority to their friends who came in and ‘freebies’. Have given the head office two opportunities to respond over a week and a half ago and have heard nothing!! It’s a shame because I think the decor and concept is fantastic... the customer service and accuracy of orders is disgraceful. Had to wait a total of 45 minutes and they weren’t even particularly busy.

We went there this evening for the first time as a "treat". Ordered a coffee, smoothie, waffle and sundae all came up at different times. The coffee was cold by the time the waffle it was meant to go with got to the table. While we were waiting we had the chance to view the servers. All wore gloves but they were kept on and not changed despite handing cash and touching their faces (mainly to stop their sweat from dripping onto the food or, in on case, scratch their nose). Waffle and ice cream not what I would call good quality and expensive at nearly £20 for the four items. Overall a disappointing visit.

Lovely cookie dough desert and lovely ice cream float, service longer than usual but worth the wait, if only the deserts weren’t so expensive we could visit more often!

We came here for our daughters 18th Birthday. She absolutely loved it. She had a strawberry crepe and a mango and strawberry bubble slush. I had a chocolate brownie waffle and ice cream. Both were excellent and better than I had expected. Lovely friendly staff. All the areas/tables seemed very clean and tidy. This is definitely a place I'll come back to next time I'm at Westwood Cross

Food was nice very sickly and quite expensive for what it is, it’s ok for a treat but not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.

This was our first visit to Kaspa’s. It was a brilliant experience, from start to finish we were impressed by the friendly, welcoming, polite, well presented staff. The dining area was very clean, with great decor and spacious seating booths. The presentation of the ice creams and various desserts was excellent, and all looked delicious. Considering it was a Saturday lunchtime, the orders seemed to be turning over very quickly, and it was a nice atmosphere for us and other families. We had two delicious sundaes, two coffees, a smoothie and a hazelnut ice cream cone. Our three year old daughter loved it. I would highly recommend Kaspas for a young family, as a treat. We will definitely be returning.

Came here today with my nephew and sister for a birthday treat for my nephew. I went up to order and was served by ashraf my nephew chose a bubblegum milkshake and a banana split. I said to my server that it was his birthday so he gave my nephew a free bubblegum shake. Which I did not expect. In the words of my nephew his best birthday ever. Been here twice and have had such a good experience and the staff are great. Thank you for a great end to my nephews special day.

Parking is atrocious and so poorly set out. The lighting inside gives you a headache, feels like your drunk. The food tasted great! Very pricey though

Decided to have a sweet lunch rather than savoury and have this venue a visit. Very quiet for a lunchtime- just one other table busy. Service was quick and efficient and the dishes themselves were lovely. Maple waffle and banana berry dessert both spot on Very good quality coffee too. Only slight down side was it was pretty cold in there. Even before we had our ice cream, we both remarked our hands were cold and we don’t normally feel the cold too much so maybe one to watch.

Credit where credit is due. I left a fairly blunt but honest review on here in September last year and have just made a return trip to treat the children for their hard work. The difference was amazing and this restaurant has certainly got its act together. A friendly welcome was followed by prompt service at the counter and our drinks and deserts were delivered in double quick time and were correct - no butter on the crepe!The music is a little loud for my taste but that’s probably my age! It’s pleasing to see such improvements and I would now happily recommend this eatery.

Hey, We visited the Broadstairs Kaspas Today, Would love to say how Friendly Welcoming band pleasant all the staff was from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. It was our First time visiting Kapas and it was honestly the best experience ever. The dessert and Shakes were on point. It was a very happy atmosphere. Great job Brosdstairs Branch

Desserts are delicious at Kaspas, but this particular Kaspas in Broadstairs has enough seats to fit at least 80 people but very little parking, which is laid out rather poorly. Secondly, the establishment has been quite cold to dine in on a few occasions and drinking glasses have not been clean.

Had a very nice banoffee cookie dough and my daughter loved her pancakes, was quite expensive though and toilets had no loo roll but the food and drinks were nice

Very tasty, large portions. Very expensive. Lighting could be better, music was a bit loud. I am sure I am not the demographic these establishments are aimed at but they seem good at what they do.

Visited with family. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Portions are huge, honey and cinnamon sponge is delicious! Toilets were clean, and barely any waiting time from ordering to eating. A good place to visit and we will return again.

We had fantastic waffles here I would suggest if you are coming here for dessert after a meal and you are going to h@ce waffles you may want to share it as the servings are large!

Been here a few times now, great for friends, couples old and young :).The portion sizes are really good which is a massive plus reason being is the ingredients are good quality , taste nice , are generous with toppings and are not trying to be something they are not (i.e snooty over the top with small portions which is too commonplace these days.) .I ordered the peanut butter smash brownie cake 1st time and it was delicious which included ice cream, then went a further two times and tried their waffles which are very nice Belgian style, which again had a good choice of topping and generous amounts which adds to that experience of the odd occasion of 'filling your face'.One of my friends who is a vegetarian was with us and she liked it too, all aged late 20's - 30 so I'd say suits all age groups did see some oldies there too amongst all other ages.Went with friends and my partner too they all approved.The cons are that table service i.e. order is taken whilst seated as an option would be beneficial (do like the go up and pay 1st bit too though)

Seated right away, helpful and happy staff . Lovely interior although could have done with the air conditioning turned down as was a little cold and that was before I had my ice cream. Loved my ice cream and so did my husband . Will be visiting again I'm sure

First visit to Kaspa's today. Food was exactly as expected (it's not difficult and it's not haute cuisine) but the disjointed service and a wrong order took the edge off. We had 4 deserts and 4 hot drinks. An order unlikely to stretch the competence of most establishments. 3 hot drinks arrived first (after what felt like a slight lengthy delay). An Ice cream sundae arrived next (another delay) followed by two waffle deserts (after another delay) then the 4th hot drink and eventually a plain crepe! The crepe had been ordered with no butter but was swimming in it. It was replaced without fuss but with no apology and causing yet another delay. When our table was cleared the server asked if everything was ok. I gave some honest feedback, stressed that it wasn't a complaint but that perhaps the management could be made aware. I was advised that management wouldn't welcome negative feedback - incredible! However I could take the matter up with the "senior" when I left.Sorry but I've given my feedback and if the dysfunctional management can't listen to their staff then they deserve this review on trip advisor. Call me old fashioned but 4 hot drinks being delivered together and 4 deserts being delivered together shouldn't be difficult! They need to get their act together.

I absolutely love Kaspas, the best waffles I've ever had. I am slowly working my way through the menu. However I was disappointed with the smoothie my daughter had as it came out warm. I understand the glasses are warm when they come out of the dishwasher but processes need to be tweaked if you're going to deliver warm smoothies, noone should have to endure the taste of warm fruit unless it's in a crumble... Eventually with my prompt they put spme ice in it. But beware of the warm smoothies! I live in fear of ordering them now... Still, it was a one off.

wow,if you want great tasty puddings, smoothies or milkshakes then this is the place to go, be warned if you go before 2pm do not eat before you go as you won't be able to finish your pudding

This was my second visit to Kaspas and just as positive. The food is as it looks very sweet and to use a kid's phrase yummy. The venue was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is a nightmare with really needs sorting out.Would go again.

I've been there 3 times. Twice I have had crepes and on my most recent visit I had waffles. Definitely for people with a sweet tooth. Seating is better if there is more than two people as you get a booth. If there is only two of you it's more like your eating with strangers. I will definitely go back and try different things.

I liked it and so did my group of friends. It is a new business and the staff need to find their feet but I feel that it was totally enjoyable. Will return soon. Very filling 😀😀😀

This is the 3rd time I've visited this Kaspas and not impressed at all. It seems to me it's more like a play ground for the staff with a lot of immaturity on display along with several staff wearing there caps back to front. When I placed my order I was told my order could take up to 45 minutes Really for an ice cream come on Guys give me the tub and I'll serve myself it would be quicker. Call me old fashioned but once food is served don't you think there should be a check back to see if the food is ok on this occasion they would have been greeted by a not really. When 17 or so of the reviews for this kaspas have terrible and poor outweighs the good don't you think issues need to be addressed. Not sure I will be returning as the food is overpriced and seriously overrated.

After taking my grandsons after school, obviously expected them to be busy, however it turned out to be a disaster. Once our orders had been taken (nothing complicated), the wait started. After 30 mins of waiting , asked how much longer our order was going to be, the server checked and informed us another 30 mins., can anybody believe 1 hour to bring up 3 dishes. Spoke to the manager, who was all apologises and offered a refund which I took, he then informed us the dishes would not be to long, but enough is enough. Strangely the lady behind me also demanded a refund for the same reasons.

Went to Kaspas (Broadstairs branch) last night, won't be returning. My fiancé and I ordered the cookie dough; I had the white chocolate one, he had the milk chocolate. He also ordered a smoothie, which he had to reorder three times as the waitress kept coming back and constantly apologising saying they had run out of that one. Hours later after we had left, my fiancé had severe diarrhoea and vomiting, felt hot and was shaking. He is still not right this evening. I have since discovered about how clean this place is; a customer noted one of the staff members removing a piece of cake from the microwave and wiping the plate with the same germ infested cloth used to wipe the tables with!! We also noted several young staff members out the back smoking very near to where the food is stored. Unimpressed to say the least especially given how ill my partner was, and have placed a complaint in with the Food Standards Agency. I love Kaspas, but I won't be returning to this particular store, I'll stick with the Canterbury one which is so much nicer. At least the staff there also seem to know why they are doing!

Arrived here on a Saturday afternoon for a table of 8, they weren't too busy to fit us in and service was quick. So much to chose from, i couldn't decide! Strawberry cheesecake sundae was lush. Only criticism is the music was too loud couldn't hear conversation.

This place really is average, nothing special and nothing you would not get for dessert at Frankie and Bennys, Harvester on the menu. Although reasonably welcoming and polite the staff seemed really rushed off their feet and being pulled from pillar to post from customers whilst they are to do table clearing. One poor waitress had seven attempts to clean a table whilst she was been requested for things from customers. Maybe bad delegation from Management? Never the less clean, nicely done out and to be fair reasonably priced, but really nothing to write home about.

We arrived here for dessert after a father's day dinner and was disappointed to be told the ice cream freezer had broken and they only had Mr whippy type ice creams available.We had waffles, crepes and cake which were all gorgeous.The staff were helpful and apologetic for the limited choice and we had a lovely time despite the lack of ice cream.

Went to try this Broadstairs Deserts what everybody is talking about .Its certainly an impressive place to visit.The only drawback was I had to hand cutlery back as some items were still dirty.

We recently visited here as a large group and the service was pretty shocking. I'm not sure how it can take more than 20 minutes from the first part of the order coming out to the last person getting theirs.Shakes taste weird and are too thick. Most of the children left their ice creams.I really wouldn't bother going here.

Visited Friday evening with my partner and 2 children. Didn't have to wait to be seated, by the looks of things you can book tables too. Wasn't keen on having to que to order food at the counter. Everyone's food came out except mine but the waitress had asked before leaving if we had everything so it was remedied quickly. But you MUST keep your receipt else you won't get missing food. For what it is we spent abit much and that's with having tap water. Which, I must add, they were happy to offer and provide without looking down their nose at you, which happens in some places. My last big negative is no children's menu. Although I didn't ask if there was one, no one offered up this info and there wasn't anything on the main menu. So we spent £6 on a sundae for my 4 yr old who pretty much only ate the wafer! All in all it's worth a visit, but can't say how often I'd bother going. Pictures added are mango sundae, banoffe and Nutella waffle and vanilla cheesecake.

Surely it doesn't take 15 minutes to make a couple of chocolate milk shakes?. At £4.25 for a small unmemorable milk shake I won't trouble to visit again unless I hear it has upped its game considerably.The staff all seemed to like it was their first day at work, a pity, the place appeared clean and l liked the retro American Diner decor.

Second visit, as before staff friendly, didn't need to wait to be seated, ordered our food and was informed of the waiting times, no problem for us as we were not in a hurry. 40 minutes later my food arriwved but my family's didn't, knowing the service is a bit slow allowed 15 minutes, when a waitress asked if we had finished she was informed that we had not all eaten yet, she chased up our order to be told it had been completed. The waitress in question was very professional and apologised then went to collect the remained of our order.

I've visited twice now since it opened a month or so ago. Sadly both with really disappointing service. My first visit I waited (standing) for nearly 45 minutes for 3x ice cream cones. But as it was newly opened, & busy I was understanding & the ice cream was really good. But I wouldn't go as far as saying it was worth the wait. My second visit (only yesterday) & kaspa's has now been open a good number of weeks & wasn't overly busy at all, & we also ate in this time too. We waited 30 minutes for 4x ice cream cones, the milkshake came but as for the ice cream it was a no show. When we asked we was told they forgot & when brought over by who I believe to be the manger we received no apology.

The service was not very quick. There was a wait for the table then you had to go and order at the counter and there was a long queue there mixed in with the people wanting to takeaway desserts. The actual sundaes when they turned up were nice but seemed a bit overpriced compared to some other places for the same size.There amount of hype there has been over the opening seems to me to be uncalled for at the end of the day it's an ice cream parlour

We arrived and were seated quickly. We chose our food and placed the order at the counter. My food came out after about 5 mins. After waiting about 15 more minutes My boyfriend and mums food and my drink didn't come out. So we asked the wait staff when it would be ready as we thought everything would have come out together. We were told by the staff they would check where our food was. We waited another 5-10 mins and another member of staff who was behind the counter came over and told us they had no recollection of the rest of our order. Luckily we had our receipt which we showed them. 5-10 mins later the rest of the food emerged, by which time I had already finished mine so had to sit and wait for everyone else to eat. There seemed to be a lack of training of the staff and even though it was not hugely busy they seemed to be running around like headless chickens! The food however was very nice.

Very hot day yesterday and we were sat waiting right in the front window, far too hot, but a lovely staff member allowed us to wait elsewhere when health concerns were explained. All ordered at the same time and an icecream took forever to arrive, we had virtually finished by the time the last order was brought out. The staff were polite, the desserts were lovely and it was good value for money.

Visited with my family today, it was our first trip the food was good staff friendly and lovely and clean. A good all rounder my daughter wanted to go as her friends had all been. I don't think I would go again as it's not my cup of tea but 5 stars given as could not fault it.

Total chaos. Considerably busy having waited 40 mins to be seated, table sticky and dirty and cutlery flung on to table by member of staff who pointed over the counter where to place order. Queuing again for 25 minutes to be served. There was no clear indication of queue for 'seating' or queue for 'ordering' sat down to wait another half an hour or so for food which came out in dribs and drabs. My sons order wrong but no staff in sight to complain to. Having filled our bellies and wanting to take leftovers home, manage to get hold of a staff member who I asked if we could have a cardboard box, trying to give us polystyrene chip boxes which would fit half of what I had left into the box. We never once received a service with a smile nor did anyone come to the tableTo check if our order/food was ok. The staff in my opinion need retraining. Total shambles

Visited the new store in Westwood Cross, Broadstairs. Expected a long queue as only been open a week so when myself and my two young children went in we spotted a long queue by the ice cream and presumed this to be the take away queue so headed straight for the staff at the desk. Asked how long it would be to get a table and told about 15 minute wait. I only had an hour so asked what the chances would be of ordering and getting food within the hour and was told that it was unlikely. We decided to wait and see how long it took. She took our name and number of diners and we sat and waited. After 10 minutes she told the man next to me that he was next for a table and he asked if he ordered at the table and was told no he had to join the queue once he had been allocated a table. The queue was at least 1/2 hour wait so presumably you would have to wait up to 1/2 hour for a table only then to have to queue again for another 1/2 hour to place your order. We gave up and left, very disappointed and wont be returning. Why cant they have a take away queue and a queue for people waitng to place table orders. None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. For a successful business such as this, you would have thought the managers would have worked out a better ordering system than the one currently in operation.
