I used this place the other night. They messed up my order not including any rice with my takeaway not a big problem really i noticed when o got home. The food was nice but so sweet they must put a great deal of sugar into their dishes. It was so sweet it didn't taste natural I could tell it was heavily laced with sugar. I won't be using this place again. Edit at the time of ordering I definitely said first egg fried rice. Now I remember the young lady that started to serve me had a problem with operating the hand held ordering device. So I thought when the other person took my order I automatically assumed the first item I requested was on the order. I'm sure your CCTV will show you that also happened. Miscommunication is what took place and being almost deaf I couldn't hear you in the restaurant & agreed to the order as I was hungry & wanted to eat. There is ABSOLUTELY no way I would have said no to rice on the order as that's EXACTLY what I wanted. Ridiculous you are lying!.

I took my wife and kids last night, and we had a lovely time. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive, yet unobtrusive. We slightly over ordered (as always), yet the bill was more than reasonable, and they were happy to box up our leftovers so we could enjoy them later. A great little restaurant.

Worst customer service Food was apserloutly disgusting Do not not use The worst customer service ever why do we accept .... Because it's convenient but no please someone spread this to social media There 5 tables free so two where taken and we not aloud any poppadoms whilst we waited for our food which took a hour Apserloutly joke of a place

Ordered a Kashmir special " Garlic Chilli Masala A hot dish cooked with fresh chillis and a garlic sauce " Very disappointed, not hot and only 1 small chilli. Won't be using this place again.

Ordered a takeaway on Saturday evening at 6.15 pm, I was informed it woud take an hour so after 1our 20 minutes I phoned again and was told it would be 10 minutes, never turned up so after two pnone conversations the food turned up eventually , this took over 2 hours from ordering to collection. This is not good enough I have been dealing with this restaurent for manny years, both eating in and takeaway and have never before had such bad service, When the food turned up and we started eating it we found that the chick peas were hard and the chicken was tough. I look forward to receiving your comments

We dropped in for a take away. Ordered and paid only then to be told it would be a 50 minute wait. As it turned out, it wasnt quite as long, which was good because everywhere we sat to wait, we were moved on. Sadly when we got home, which is just around the corner, the food was very near cold. We ordered 2 portions of poppadoms....we got 3!!! I wonder how many we would of got had we only ordered one portion. It was my first time using Kashmir, I would like to try it again, as it is local to me. Although I will call ahead next time. Fingers crossed the cold food was a one off!!

Incredible Flavours, Great Service and Very Clean

The worst Indian meal we have ever had, it was a disgrace, to start with the Poppadoms were not fresh, the relishes were awful, salad was tasteless chopped lettuce and onion, Raita was yellow, tasteless and stale, the mango chutney was not good at all!! The next course was mixed kebab, it was horrible with some lettuce thrown into the bottom of a dish and 2 cubes of chewy lamb, 2 cubes of tasteless dry chicken and a sheek kebab, then to top off a disastrous meal, the main course arrived, this was an absolute disgrace, the worst curry I have had in my life, it was supposed to be chicken madras which consisted of a watery sauce that hadn't been spiced at all, the chicken was dry and plain with no spices or herbs whatsoever, I took one taste of it and sent it back!!! Needless to say I will never be going back to the Kashmir Indian Restaurant in Christchurch. Continued: Just to clarify the owners reply, we are not liars just truthful honest people wanting a decent Indian meal, we spoke to the waiter with our complaint and he took the madras meal back to the kitchen to show the chef, then returned saying the chef was very sorry and proceeded to refund a portion of the bill, also to clarify we didn't book a table, we called in at 6pm on 14th November 2023 and asked if they could fit us in on a table for 2, the waiters reply was yes and he proceeded to give us a menu. I take offence to being called a liar, this just proves to me that you are very rude and have very poor management skills!! A word of advice, accept criticism from your customer's, they are your bread and butter, take their comments on board to improve your business, to drive them away by being rude is not a good business strategy!!

Great meal, best Indian we've found in the area

The best Indian meal I have had for a long time. A restaurant that concentrates on good food rather than over-egged decor.

First time eating at Kashmir and can honestly say, it is the best curry in the area, and I've tried a few! They accommodated us very last minute on a Friday night and the service was friendly, fast and with a smile. The atmosphere was relaxed and food just amazing, especially the new vegan options and fake lamb dhansak! 😋

Beautiful food! Wonderful service and gorgeous atmosphere. Lamb fresh and seasoned just enough, daal incredible, aubergine beautiful no too oily. Extensive menu - just lovely will definitely be back :)

It's ok but pricey and portions aren't big..

I left a poor review a year or more ago as they appeared to have a new chef and the food had gone way down hill. Glad to see things have really improved on the curry front now. On-line ordering and time estimates, emails etc. are a bit sketchy and sometimes require a phone call to check the food availability timing, which can be tricky when they are busy early evening and the phone is engaged.

Good value food, friendly staff, and also has a small restaurant. Adequate free parking, so for convenience, it's worth a visit.

Good food, good service, excellent value. Gluten Free choices. A small restaurant, so hard to create an amazing atmosphere, but the food is really excellent so top scores and highly recommend giving the Kashmir a try.

Great food, small but great. Fab service. Two good-sized onion bargee per portion. I can recommend the Dopiaza, pilau rice, keema nan, and bombay potatoes. Top Nosh.

It was a Sunday night bizzy at 7 o'clock, but no one seemed to come in later. The food and service were excellent. I'm only disappointed with rice portions. we normally share a rice, but you need at least one each if not more

I ordered chick pea curry with potatoes and it came with just chick peas and no potatoes, The bowl the food came in had hair on it the waiter started pulling the hair of my bowl infront of me and then the waiter said he was going to change my food the food came back after less then a minute with the same steel bowl with no potatoes still and the same curry. the Garlic naan bread was very oily and had no garlic taste to it We asked for madras hot and it came out sweet then hot 🔥 I was very sick from it after I am a person who eats hot curry's all the time and this is the worst place so far for me . The lady who works at the place is very nice and kind and very good at her job

This is our 'go to' Indian restaurant when on holiday in Mudeford, Nr Christchurch. On line ordering from the extensive menu is easy, and is always ready when going to collect. Would definitely recommend.

Was worried the restaurant was going to be too small for a table of 7 for my birthday, but it was fine. Food was excellent (and I am quite fussy). 😂 Thanks Mark.

Have enjoyed several meals from this restaurant in Purewell in recent times, the food has always been first class and exactly as ordered, I have to travel further to get to Kashmir but it's certainly worth it, don't bother to look elsewhere now, so thanks to all at Kashmir you're doing a great job.

THE BEST IN CHRISTCHURCH. We recently moved to this area and have been struggling to find a decent takeaway until we found Kashmir. I am so happy I've found this Indian restaurant, we've always ordered takeaway so far, and it always arrives hot and well served. The food in incredible, spices and flavours are spot on, and the poppadoms are always fresh! We will be your forever customers, we are hooked!!

We were in the area house hunting and saw the great reviews so decided to try for ourselves. We were not disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient. The food amazing! I had a vegetarian korma and loved it. Highly recommend this restaurant for a relaxed and very tasty meal. It is not a large restaurant so might be worth booking in advance. Great value for money and the house red wine was also really nice.

Lovely atmosphere here. Our friends really love it here. The staff are nice. The food was nice. However I think the portions could be bigger and there could be more rice. The food was quite tasty tho so that made up for it.

Visited Kashmir Saturday night, had the most wonderful Prawn Madras and Pilau rice. The flavours were incredible. This was my first visit to Kashmir, but will definitely be returning on a regular basis.

Food had hairs in it. Called to order, the man was very unpleasant and clearly too busy for phone call orders. Wouldn’t return if you payed me.

Lovely staff, kind and helpful. Very interesting menu too. The chef's special was so tasty and my husband's duck starter was full of flavour. We'll be back!

Pathetic customer approach. Walked in asked for a table for 1. He Didn't even speak, just shuck his head and smerked. No apology for, no effort.. For me, in the catering trade for 40 years...that is pathetic was to treat or approach a customer, after all, that is the face of the company.. Dear god help us....

1st time using them. Bit disappointed. The staff on the phone were great and the food came within the time specified. Although we only live 1.4 miles away, the food was cold. My chicken was very tough as if it had been reheated in a microwave. Sauces were good and flavoursome. Shame really. In fairness to Kashmir, they contacted me after this review and offered me a refund which I was pleased to accept.

Tried Kashmir restaurant Stanpit for a home delivery last night. Very pleased I did food was absolutely delicious and prompt delivery, very fresh ingredients, not greasy. Best I’ve tasted locally. Food hygiene rating 5 would not order from anywhere else with lower score as very fussy about hygiene. Recommended to friends!

First time back at Kashmir for a while and didn’t disappoint. Went for the special and was very impressed. Huge amount of meat really good flavour/spice levels simply a great dish. Everyone in group rated their meals as best curry in the local area and still reasonably good value to which with spiralling costs is no mean feat. Thanks for a great evening

I can only comment on the quality of a take away We ordered six main dishes plus a couple of side dishes. Portions were large and the quality and taste were superb, highly recommend.

Our favourite Indian Restaurant in the area!! Food is delicious, staff is always very nice and they are quick! We love to get a take out as a treat from Kashmir!

Don't let the exterior appearance of this little place deceive you. We nearly drove past but actually ended up enjoying some of the best Indian food we've had. The monkfish curry was sublime, plus every dish came as a generous portion. Probably the best Indian restaurant we've visited in the new forest and most likely will be back again when over that way.

This is a small but enjoyable Indian. Food is good and portions are generous. They are very willing to adjust the heat of the curry for you, just ask Update 2021, still a quality Indian. Unassuming, but I bet they wish the scaffolding had gone by now!

Nice food and welcoming staff. We tried their lamb biryani, chicken tikka, and Korma. Their biryani is a must try dish and it was really delicious. Korma was a bit sweeter than other places I tried before. You can easily find car park in front of the restaurant. Price is reasonable and it gets crowded very early as they have very limited number of tables.

Tried this curry house last night.. Have been using another local takeaway for years and we had been disappointed recently. So ordered from Kashmir and was blown away with it. Must have been the best curry we have had for many many years. Yes it was superb! Thanks Kashmir, we will be back, for sure.

Extremely tasty food we had a good selection of curries a Korma, Dansak, tried the curry on the special board, we also had sag paneer & couple of naan breads, would recommend we all enjoyed was delicious 😋

Used to be amazing but has gone down hill. Not sure if owners have changed in the last few years? Currys don't taste as good as they used to and often take aways come cold.

Amazing Indian restaurant and takeaway. Phone lines open from 5.30pm to take orders as they start cooking at 6pm & orders can be submitted the day before. Everyone knows how delicious the food is so when it's busy it can be a bit difficult to get through on the phone sometimes. Been going as a family for over 30yrs here - changed ownership a few times within the family and outside as well but food still delicious so they keep getting it right! Best Indian I've ever had travelling in lots of cities through the UK...just lucky it's in the home town.

Kashmir is a good reliable restaurant which serves good Indian food.

Pulling up in the taxi, I thought oh no, the outside looks quite unkempt. On entry it wasn't the greatest restaurant to say the least. The staff were very welcoming, and service was good. But the food was absolutely excellent, and I have to one of the best I have ever tasted. Looks can be deceiving.

Fantastic meal - highly recommended!

This is by far the best curry place for miles. We regularly order from them and are never disappointed, brilliant food & a great delivery service. Tonight we ordered and when it arrived the containers had split and gone over almost all of the food. We called Kashmir and within 25 minutes we had another brand new set of everything we'd ordered, no quibbles, no charges, just an apology for the inconvenience. Would highly recommended them if you're looking for a fab curry at a great price from a lovely local business. Thank you!

Update - Kashmir have got in touch and been genuinely concerned with my issues and looked to rectify them. I received nice friendly communication and it would seem they are normally attentive and nice. I will be going back and looking forward to a lovely dining experience. First and last visit. Inside and decor basic. Staff unfortunately miserable and not very polite, not at all welcoming or friendly so would not return. Food ok but over all very disappointing.

Nice "curry house", but on a cross roads in a village, so doesn't look appealing from the outside. Decent food, but standard Indian restaurant cuisine. If I was local, I would definitely visit again.

Great food and friendly staff. Beautiful decor. The restaurant is a bit small but it doesn't feel crowded at all. They have loads of drinks and food options and it has a lovely atmosphere. Would 100% recommend.

Went in at 18:30 on saturday to celebrate 60th birthdays of 4 lifelong mates. What a fantastic curry we all had and very attentive staff and flavoursome food. Our best curries ever! Will definately return soon . 5 Star
