I'm Charlie they know me well & vice versa (not that affects my opinion). I've used this place now and again, but sometimes more than other times. The food and service I've had has always been great and never had to complain. What people don't understand is what's good for one isn't always good for another. Hard to beat it

What lovely people! What delicious food! Two of us visited for a restaurant meal. They made an 'off menu' lassi for us very happily and made us feel more like guests than customers. All the food was lovely and copious. So copious in fact we couldn't manage it all so they packed the rest for a takeaway. A whole extra meal at home!

These guys seem to have got mixed reviews so I can only write as I found which is - this is some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted. My husband is Indian so I've tasted a few curries in my life, both home made by him and his family and when eating out. This place brings a unique spin to Asian food which can get quite repetitive amongst curry houses (Madras/Vindaloo/Korma/Tikka Masala again???) as there is much more to Indian/Pakistani food than you'll find in the majority of places. Their naan bread/chapattis/puri/paratha are worth buying more of so you can take a few home and have them for breakfast next morning with any leftover dishes. All the food was excellent and we were all really happy. I especially liked the raita (best I've ever had) for which the gentleman serving gave me the secret ingredient. The lemon rice was something unique I'd never had before and it perfectly complimented my fish curry. The place could do with a bit of a refurb for sure and less cobwebs in the loo, and we did have to wait a long time for our meal which we could tell had been freshly cooked when it arrived. If that had been communicated it would've stopped us wondering what was going on. Please be advised they have no alcohol licence so you'll need to bring your own. Really enjoyed this place, wish I lived closer like the couple on the next table who said they've been customers for 14 years. Excellent value, the meal for four of us cost slightly more than the meal plus drinks for one person at a certain 'fine dining' restaurant in Ironbridge. I enjoyed it more too.

Ive been using this takeaway since it’s been there and was always impressed with the quality of the food so last Saturday 25/05/2019 as usual I looked forward to my takeaway but what a complete letdown, the prawn cocktail was runny, limp lettuce which must have been made either that morning or the day before, next was onion bhajee’s and chicken tikka which were as hot as a madras, even the balti was madras hot,the shocking thing was the mushroom pilau rice which was so spicy it was like the chef had spilt chilli powder over everything, what a let down, the worst Indian I’ve ever had hence I will not be using them again

Had a takeaway for two which took 1hr 20mins to arrive. Once opened it was cold. The chips were dry and hard like they’d be microwaved. Even the dog struggled to swallow them. The rice was luke warm along with the curry and the naan lacked flavour. I can understand that there may be more than one drop off en route to our house. If that is the case then they really should invest In a decent bag to keep the food warm. It’s a shame but I won’t be using them again after this experience

We often use the Chinese Takeaway over the road from this place in Madeley, and after our previous disappointments with our previous Asian takeaway in Dawley, i decided to give it a try, Our two main courses were £7.50 each,(very average) Bombay potatoes £3.50 (nothing special) Onion Bhajees £2.50 each portion,(like four golf ball sized products ) mint sauce 70p (very tiny pots) poppadoms etc £31.12? for two people (including £3 delivery charge plus 50p service charge??) expensive i think, when it is just as average as most of the other places around here, nothing out of the ordinary by any means, i certainly will not use them again.

We ended up here as a result of another restaurant-that-shall-not-be-named being too full. And boy was I glad. Initially the lack of alcohol was a small issue, but that can be procured from any of the local bars at little effort. The food was top notch; great quality curry packed with flavour at a very reasonable price and the peshwari naan was literally out of this world good (ask the Mrs!!). Perhaps the starters could have had a few more sauce options but only a minor niggle, I'm sure things will only get more perfect.

Hidden because it's in a listed building so can't advertise outside. truly authentic Indian food served extremely well. We asked for a number of things 'off menu' which they accommodated without hesitation. Portions if anything were over generous but the layers of flavor in each dish meant leaving any was difficult. One of our party asked for less spicy versions of her dishes which they did but without losing the authentic flavor. We've visited India a few times and would say the recipes used must be old family recipes. A must return place.

The food was served very quickly and you can take your own alcoholic drinks. The food was nice although the naam bread wasn't very nice had like yellow flour in the middle seemed like a sandwich. The waiter was attentive but a little bit too chatty. Has car parking for customers although there was a man peeing quite blatently which wasn't nice too see. I spent quite a lot of time driving around in the area looking for somewhere to eat. There's no shortage if you like pub food but for a well-earned dinner I wanted something rather more special. The Kashmir Café slightly off the beaten track and somewhat unprepossessing and doesn't even have a menu in the window but it looked quite inviting in a quiet sort of way. The food was wonderful, the service attentive and the bill very reasonable. My only little complaint is that they didn't have sparkling water - only Cola(!) I only wish I had a similar restaurant near home.

This indian restaurant is new so when a leaflet came through the door we decided to give it a try. We decided to opt for home delivery, the menu looked nice with plenty of choice and some unusual choices which I really wanted to sample. I settled on monkfish relish which sounded nice and I had never had monkfish before so gave it a try. It was simply divine. The fish was so delicate and tender, beautiful flavours and nice blend of spices, garlic and ginger. I got a huge portion too. My husband had chicken dhansak which was very tasty and quite hot, which he likes, he said its the best dhansak he's ever had. we also had sides of saag paneer, onion bhajis and garlic fried rice. All this for around £20 which I thought was reasonable. Free poppadums, mint yoghurt dressing and salad too! Delivery was quick. Thoroughly recommended!! Next time I'm trying the salmon tikka!!

The food here was of good quality and was served in a relatively timely mannor. Service was also timely and staff were friendly. We visited on a Sunday and so this might explain why the restaurant was empty apart from us, even so the atmosphere suffered and at times we were left in silence apart from the very loud music. Please remember to take your own alcohol, as I was taken aback by the response from the waiter when I asked what beers were available. No alcohol is served at Kashmir cafe, and only soft drinks are available, which left me wishing we had stopped off at a supermarket on the way there. We've ordered food for home delivery several times now from The Kashmir Cafe and each time it has been brilliant. The menu is extensive and the dishes very good value for money, as are the set meals. We've had no issues whatsoever with delivery times and, in fact, they are usually quicker than they estimate. This is our first choice now for Indian takeaway food in the South Telford area and hopefully will remain so. I can now say we are qualified as frequent customers of Kashmir, as we've had 3 eat in meals and 3 delivered meals from them. We are keen to try different restaurants, as variety is the spice etc, but Kashmir has become a safe bet when we are looking for an enjoyable meal, and know that we won't be disappointed. Please don't get me wrong, when I say a safe bet I mean we haven't just been satisfied, but delighted each time. I could wax lyrical about the dishes, the value and the staff, but you can read any review for that. Suffice to say, we enjoy trying different restaurants, and the mundane just doesn't do it for us, so well done Kashmir for bringing us back for more.

When i rang up to complain, i was told because i wanted a lamb tikka massala the way the lamb was cooked it was going to be tough. I had lamb this way before and it was not tough. Eventually got sent a chicken tikka massala and other chips. The chicken cant be fresh, it must be frozen and then cooked because it was horrible. The peshwari nan tasted alright but it was a yellow colour inside (normally white!) Needless is to say i will never ever order from here. Delicious home delivery from the Kashmir Cafe - great mixed grill (lovely tandoori chicken) and very good tarka dahl and saag paneer. Great value for money too. Thanks again guys.

I was staying with a group of colleagues in Telford for the evening and we tried this cafe on the basis of the unanimously excellent ratings. Our first surprise was that it wasn't licensed. But no problem, there was a corner shop 1/4 mile up the road with an excellent selection of chilled beers. If you live in a city, you may have had the good fortune to come across an inspicuous indian restaurant/cafe, maybe with wooden bench tables, that serves fantastic food just how you imagine their mother cooks it at home. Despite the image, this is not one of those places. So it all depends on your expectation. Service was friendly and the food was fine. Yes, fine. It was also very cheap (£12 per head for popadoms, starter and main). But I expect there are at least 5-10 restaurants in every city that serve tastier without breaking the bank. I can certainly think of a few.So if you're in Shropshire and fancy a curry this may well be the best you'll get, particularly at takeaway prices. But "one of the finest meals I have ever had"? Man, you need to get out more.

We regularly order from Kashmir Cafe - the food is brilliant. In particular we love their lamb dishes - the Khodu Lamb is fantastically tender. The drivers are always friendly as are the staff who answer the phones. This is truly wonderful Indian Food.

We have long struggled to find an Indian restaurant that we were really happy with, then we came across Kasmir Cafe. The quality of the food and service is fantastic, the take always are equally as good. The restaurant is on Madeley high street and easy to miss but for people who love high quality, fresh, flavoursome Indian food I am yet to find anywhere in Shropshire that comes even close to Kashmir Cafe.

My family and I usually go out for a curry in Lye, Stourbridge for Birthday treats etc! Kashmir Cafe is our local curry house which we use on a regular basis, we are always raving about how good the food, service and value for money it is. So this time they decided to come over and give it a try, and they were not disappointed. My mum and I had the sea bass which was delicious, my husband had garlic chilli chicken, my sister had chicken relish and my dad and nephew had claypot chicken. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, even my dad who is the hardest to please! I think from now on my family will travel the distance to Telford to enjoy the culinary delights of the Kashmir cafe. They never fail to deliver fresh, delicious food with a smile time after time.

I do not understand why this place is not packed out every night! If I was more local, I would be there so often - it is near perfection for an Indian restaurant. The food is outstanding. It is NOT your standard food, and they say this on the menu, so the Chicken Tikka Massala had really interesting flavours which set it apart from the usual offerings. All the dishes we had were absolutely delicious. But it gets better and better - you can bring your own wine and beer! As well as this, they offer to pack up what you don't finish. The portion sizes are very good so this can be helpful. The service was great. All in all, I cannot compliment this place enough. Unfortunately I was just visiting the area, but if I was anywhere in the locality, I would go rather often. Seriously, if you're reading this review...do yourself a favour... take some nice drinks and have some delicious food and enjoy the Kashmir cafe! Trust me, you won't regret it.

We went into Kashmir, the sign outside is a bit misleading as it says royal oak cafe, the building used to be a pub. Good job we knew it was an indian restaurant =)Anyway, the man who served us was very welcoming, patient (as neither of us 4 could decide what we wanted) & polite. We ordered 2 chicken tikkas, fried rice, chicken bhuna, chips, sea bass curry, naan and extra pappadoms.Couldnt fault the food or service at all. It was fantastic and we shall be going again very soon.

Curry has been a part of my life - and that of my partner - for many many years. And whenever we move somewhere new we try and find a new curry house that delivers good fresh food, cooked with care and skill, that doesn't break the bank. Of course in Smethwick and Manchester and Bolton and London life was sweet. Good curries may not have been ten-a-penny but they weren't that hard to track down. Then comes our move full time to Ironbridge. Never have we known a county so denuded of anything resembling good asian food. We must have tried every curry house in every town in a 20 mile radius. Eating in and taking away. Just awful. Over spiced, under spiced, inedible, unexciting - insults to the great British tradition of curry. And then we found The Kashmir Cafe in Madeley - and we knew that once again the god of spice was smiling on us. Thankyou, thankyou Kashmir Cafe for a brilliant meal. Fruity, hot dhansak soft with lentils - spicy, but with that lovely long warm fresh chilli heat that doesn't leave you gasping for water. Incredibly good dhal - garlicky and smoky. The best naan bread I've eaten in a long time. Love the sheekh kebab too - and that was a great dupiaza. The food is very obviously cooked from fresh ingredients. The sauces are distinct and flavourful from long cooking. The spices blend beautifully but critically you can taste them individually. We can't express how grateful we are that we found you. This place really is the best around. If you go to any other curry house round here you're not just daft, you'll be sad too. Cut out the rest - Kashmir Cafe is indubitably the best.(Oh lovely polite service too, very prompt, very friendly)

Lovely food and presentation, but I am a vegetarian and stated this numerous times and made it clear that I don’t eat meat or fish, only to find a piece of chicken in my noodles near the end of my meal. I’ve been wanting to try the food here for years, so was very disappointed. Everyone else enjoyed there’s so it was a shame

I ordered a large takeaway for a gathering of friends with a variety of dishes for a birthday party. The food was prepared on time and everything was delicious. I’ve been eating here for a number of years and never been disappointed Taste of Paradise is far and away my vote for best Indian restaurant in the area.
