Kashmir Balti House in Mid Sussex

Unfortunately will not be using this curry takeaway again, reason being too dam expensive, way too expensive for what you get, other curry takeaways are £30 cheaper!! And you get more for your money, this is basically ripping people off, special fried rice £4.65? Onion bhaji £4.65? I could go on, worked out for 4 people £87. Never again!!!

Takeaway was NOT what ordered. Very poor quality won't buy from them again. They promised they had what we asked for, but clearly did not. Asked for Dall samba. And there was NO lentils and NO spinach. Not happy

Popped in to order some takeaway food in person. Was promised food would take 10-15 mins max. Took well over 30 mins to get my food so was late for my social plan. No apology. No explanation. No “here’s a free bhaji to say sorry”. Why lie?! Just tell me how long it’s gonna take and I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Food was ok but I would not order again.

I got home tired and hungry and had to prepare food. I decided to order take out from Kashmir. Being tired I didn't notice the £4 delivery charge and if I had, I probably would have reconsidered. But I didn't, so order in. Between my initial ordering and some point later the estimated delivery time rose to 94 mins. After an hour of waiting used the help button on the web page and clicked the 'Where Is my order' button and it said my revised delivery time was 6:39 pm - the time currently was 7:04pm... So I phoned them and was told that the driver had left about ten minutes ago with mine and another order, so would be with me soon, and within 5 minutes it had arrived. Total wait time was about 1 hour 10 mins, not as good as it could have been, but better than 94mins! That could have been a forgivable wait given that it was Saturday night, but the food was lukewarm to cold. Each plate had to be reheated before eating. It was as if it had been cooked then left waiting for half an hour or so before being delivered. I'd like to say it must have been a one off, except the last time we ordered from them we had the same experience. Kashmir used to be the best curry take out in Haywards Heath, however at some point it has gone down hill. There are now better ones out there. As such, I doubt I'll be using them again.

We were always happy with the food from Kashmir until I read about there two star hygiene rating. After this we will not be using them.

I used to think Kashmir was good but since lockdown the prices have gone up massively. The £4 for delivery is crazy. Anyhow having ordered expecting a 45 min wait we were waiting 1.5hrs. Sorry but with the cost of the service, a 1.5 hr wait doesn’t stack up as value for money. Not even a free popadom to make up for it. I use them less and less due to the cost and this just reinforces my view that it’s easier to give it a swerve. Life’s too short!

Amazing curry, we don’t go anywhere else in Hayward’s heath! The staff are always so lovely and so amenable!

Missing item from my delivery! After waiting for 5 minutes on hold then getting hung up on. Which was not a good start! Called them back. Had my delivery. Called up again to beg to get my missing item. They said I didn’t order it. After arguing over the phone about it. They did deliver the missing item. But a decent customer service would normally say “I’m sorry sir, I’ll get it sent out to you ASAP” Obviously by the time my main component was delivered my food was cold! Unbelievable. Not going to be using them again. I would go elsewhere if I was you!

Had a takeaway for the first time. Chicken Achari with Garlic Naan and a Puri. The curry was delicious but the Naan and Puri were okay but I’ve had better. There was a little too much oil in the curry but it was very tasty and not drowned by chilli. This place is a lot better than the restaurant opposite it by light years.

We ordered Goan chicken , Lamb Tikka Balti , Vegetable Dansak and Vegetable Balti Special, as well as sundries . It all tasted the same also thick and gluey . We were really disappointed. It was the worst takeaway curry I've ever had . I understand different chefs / different times. We ended up throwing half of it away . So disappointed.

First discovered this golden nugget in 2016 and since then it’s been our regular take away. Most authentic and delicious food I have tasted in any Indian take away. Have tried other takeaways in the area but they are not even close. Food is full of gorgeous taste and always hot. You can see the effort that goes into each dish and they do care about their food! If you’re in Haywards Heath, try them and go for medium dishes on their menu - you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered a Meal 2 which was absolutely gorgeous, best Indian take away I’ve had in ages - the portions were huge, really tasty, good value m, excellent service and fast delivery. So grateful this service available during lock down - we will certainly be regulars thank you.

The food was tasteless and had no enjoyment. The chicken was very poor quality and very spartan. Onion bargee was dry and tasteless. Cheese nana was a limp plain nan. We threw most of the meal away.

Recommended by a local but found to be just another Balti takeaway. Nothing the 4 of us had was anything exceptional but equally was not bad. All food hot and cooked. We had concerns that the poppadoms were not fresh made but pre bought as tasted stale. We had a good mixed selection from the menu and as said nothing wrong with it but have had better elsewhere. We are not local so unlikely to go back or be able to compare with others in area so may of course be the best of a poor bunch hence the recommendation

Have used this takeaway for a long time so about time i gave it a review. Excellent food excellent menu fast delivery and very friendly helpful staff , prices about the same as most other places

They promise delivery in 55 minutes: after 1 hour and 35 minutes I telephoned and was told I'd be "next". Not recommended.

Tried this place for the first time recently as there are no close takeaways. This on delivers and I was concerned about how hot it may be when arriving. Have to say, was still hot and very tasty

Late delivery, food luke warm even though it’s less than 1/2 mile from our address, garlic Nan had no garlic on it, tasted like plain, very expensive food will not be ordering again

My favourite Indian takeaway in Haywards Heath. Consistently excellent food. Tasty, good portion sizes and good value. Always piping hot when delivered.
