When you’re craving for Filipino cuisine, Kasa and Kin is definitely the best choice if you’re in Central London. They have a wide selection of truly Filipino specialties. Still a lot for us to try so we will be visiting again soon. Kasa and Kin team were also very friendly and helpful when asked for recommendations. In terms of getting a table, it’s better to book a table in advance as they tend to get busy and full especially on weekends and meal times. Our first try was walk-in and we were not able to secure a table thus we made sure to book for the next day.

Distressed and Publicly Shamed While Trying to Use the Restroom I want to share a deeply upsetting experience I recently had at Kasa and Kin Soho. My partner and I were waiting to be seated — both returning customers who have always enjoyed the restaurant before. Because we are familiar with the venue, I knew the way to the restroom, so while my partner waited patiently in line to get seated, I decided to walk there myself to quickly check on a personal matter. I was wearing all white and feeling quite anxious about a sensitive issue, which added to my distress. To my shock, a blonde woman who appeared to be a manager suddenly chased me down, publicly confronting me in front of other waiting guests. She informed me that the restroom was reserved for seated customers only and that I was not allowed to use it. When I calmly explained that my partner was in the process of getting us seated, she then shockingly made a comment to my partner about not wanting “homeless people” basically using the toilet. I was carrying a Chanel bag and sneakers — which should be irrelevant, but for her to even imply that I was homeless or not a genuine guest was deeply concerning and offensive. This encounter was not only humiliating but also displayed a lack of basic respect and sensitivity. Rather than showing understanding or discretion, I was met with judgment and public shaming. Feeling distressed and embarrassed, I returned to the table, and we immediately chose to leave the restaurant. The entire incident was shocking and left a lasting negative impression. For a place we had previously enjoyed, this lack of kindness and empathy is unacceptable. I sincerely hope Kasa and Kin Soho reconsiders how they treat their guests — especially those in vulnerable moments.

My wife and I had the "Imbento" lunch box, i ordered the Sinigang, Kare Kare, and garlic rice, while my wife had the wagyu Lumpia, Chicken Inasal, Adobo Okra and for drinks we got the Calamansi Slush and Ube Latte. Honestly the best meal ive had in a while, only downside is there wasnt enough rice! Sammy our server was courteous and made sure we had everything (even extra bagoong). Will highly recommend for anyone looking for a hearty and delicious meal around Soho.

The food was ok and the garlic rice was delicious, the portions quite big we paid £50+ each and they discreetly included £11 tip which bit disappointed because the service was ok not that 5 star service you accepted for the tip their add on your bill especially when we arrived there is no warm smile from the staff which I think they are the restaurant managers but Hitomi who served us was as lovely. The restaurants very hot I don't think they have Aircon, for the price they should be including rice or side dish. I give 3 star doesn't mean bad but probably not for me but was nice experience.

Absolutely wonderful! I saw this restaurant on Google maps when I was planning a trip and have been looking forward to it ever since, and the experience did not disappoint! The service was incredible - despite the restaurant being quite full, I was able to be seated quickly, and my server, Sammy, was friendly and fun to talk to. I got the duck confit adobo with garlic rice, which was incredible - the rice had the perfect sticky yet fluffy texture, the duck was tender and flavorful, the tenderstem broccoli had the perfect amount of bite, and the adobo sauce was tangy and rich. I also got the suman for dessert, which was really nice - the steamed rice cake had a great texture and wasn't too sweet, the mango pieces were perfectly ripe, and the sauce had a bright caramelised flavour. I picked up an ensaymada to take away, which I'm looking forward to having later, and I will no doubt be returning later in my trip. Definitely worth visiting!

My wife treated me to this place on my birthday, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The food is amazing. I mean, I'm really cautious with going to Filipino restaurants now as my expectations are always let down by the establishments. Filipino cuisine has that unique taste and sometimes when you try to combine it with other dish styles you just lose that uniqueness and you get a staple meal. But not with Kasa & Kin though. They have this "Imbento box" that gets you a starter+main+side which is really affordable with good portions. Their beef broth is a must try, the meat just melts in your mouth, and the soup is just perfection, like having that hot home-cooked meal after a hard day's work. I had the pork grill which was good as well, not that oily and just the right amount of savouriness. The pancit guisado was ok, felt a bit salty though. Now I'm not only writing this because they surprised me with a free ube ice cream for my birthday (that was a massive plus) but the experience was just great. Their staff was kind, attentive and offered great service. I highly recommend this place!

So disappointed and really wish I’d never bothered going here on a Saturday night! Staff were not attentive at all. They were more interested in chatting amongst themselves and avoided engaging on the most part, with the customers. The atmosphere was rowdy and felt like a canteen!! We were not greeted as we entered and left the restaurant, and our waitress just seemed bored and as though she didn’t want to be there. No effort was made to explain any of the dishes or make any recommendations. What’s more the food portions were small , prices of course high, and fairly bland in taste. No thank you ever again, and based on this experience not at all a place I’d recommend.

My children surprised me on mothers day. I have been wanting to visit the restaurant after having seen it all over social media, a contemporary filipino dining. It wasn't as I had expected. The service was good, our server was attentive and on point. How ever the food disappointed me hence an overall rating of 3. I have attached mages of what we had. Perfectly presented but lack the authentic taste. The bbq platter lacking the filipino authentic marinate. Meat was bland just brush on marinate after grilling. Kare kare didn't do it for me too there is very little sauce and the meat was dry. The halo halo was a disappointment , it was more ice and ube ice cream and very little filling. ALL the food was presented very well just lack the flavour specially the prices are not cheap. The price for 6 bbq stick consist of 2 prawn , 2 beef and 2 pork is £25 without no accompanying rice or salad.

Came here for a birthday lunch. Overall it was pretty good. I think we paid around £50 per person for 3 courses and a soft drink with a few people sharing bits and pieces. I'm not Filipino but I was with a bunch of Filipinos and they all said the food was good. They could perhaps do with one or two more staff on the floor during the lunch rush as it was a little hard to grab someone's attention during the weekend lunch rush. All the staff were friendly though. Their Ube ice cream, house grill sauce, baguk and BBQ/grill items are really tasty and flavourful. The pancit canton was not the best, quite soupy and a bit too acidic for me but was acceptable. They also have a bakery inside to pick up some gifts (or another snack) on the way out.

Three doesn’t mean bad, though it was an awkward experience. Came in to try their pastries and the staff seemed a little confused and lost, like they didn’t know if they could serve us or not which confused both me and my friend. When I checked, Google says allegedly the restaurant was closed, but people were eating in and came in after us too ? I will say they were accommodating and allowed us to eat in, but the staff seemed confused while we were ordering, like they didn’t want us here. I’d rather they tell us straight up next time rather so we could find somewhere else than having a moment of awkward silence just looking at each other. Was excited to try their red velvet dessert, but the cream cheese tasted sour and spoiled, and the texture felt like it had been on display for over a day that I was unable to finish it which was a shame. They gave the pastry and ice cream (also that “tres deches” aka milky ice cream was £6 that’s crazy) without cutlery that I had to go over and ask. Were we expected to eat the food with our hands? Overall Mid experiences, maybe this was on us for randomly entering and mistaking it as a cafe from their pastry display, and perhaps the restaurant experience would have been, but who knows .

The food was great, preserves traditional Filipino taste and the portions are good. What me and my friends did not appreciate is that the staff kept interrupting our meal and so insistent to clear our plates when we are still finishing our food. As Filipinos, we take our guests to restaurants that allows us to feel at home and this is not the case. While the food and ambiance is great as this is from the Romolus line of restaurants, we feel that we should have been given the opportunity to enjoy our lunch without constant checking.

We sampled a variety of dishes, including the Beef Kare Kare, Confit Duck Adobo, Lemongrass Chicken Inasal, BBQ Pork, and Pork Sisig—each one was absolutely delicious. Food was yummy and beautiful. The restaurant is colourful and vibrant with a gorgeous bakery. The price is on the higher end which for a Filipina it is expensive!!!!!! The toilets were not clean and one of the toilets was soaked I think in urine from the previous person but there was no toilet paper in the other cubicle. The toilets are not maintained. If you’re going to charge very high prices then the restaurant completely should play the part but I have been to takeaway places with cleaner toilets. We came for dinner. The desserts were wonderful and the brownie was delicious but because of the price I stuck to having a starter and a dessert with a drink because I didn’t want to spend £22 for adobo and it doesn’t even come with rice. Why are your mains not coming with rice??? It should come with rice already and you know that . Charging £5 extra for rice is theft. Who eats adobo without rice!? If I spend that much I am not trying to diet by cutting back on rice. The service was good. Very attentive staff kind and courteous.

We looked forward to eating dishes that are not that easy to cook at home (like bbq, kare kare and sisig) but are typically served in various restaurants in the Philippines. However, while the dishes are pretty to look at, it seems as if the cooks have never set foot in the Philippines at all! The dishes that we tried are not 'malinamnam' :( The BBQ Pork Belly is tender but too fatty and sickly sweet. The Gambas is extremely salty. The Kare-Kare tasted like ground peanuts and salt - that's it! The beef is tough like a dry porkchop. The Pork Sisig doesn't taste like the typical sisig in Manila or Pampanga and is quite bland. The only dish that we liked is the Fried Tofu. The service and ambience is good, but there should be more focus on the taste of the food, not just the presentation.

I visited Kasa and Kin for lunch. The restaurant has a nice Filipino style decor and is part bakery too with many Filipino pastries. During lunchtime, they serve interesting and for London quite affordable imbento boxes set menus for £17.50. They had a promo of choosing the beef rib eye steak tapa for one pound if you want to have that as the main dish of your set lunch. I ended up choosing this together with gambas al ajillo and garlic fried rice. The shrimps were okay, although a bit too bland since I could barely taste the bagoong. The tapa was better. Overall, it was quite a good set menu option, although the portion felt a bit small. Service was quite slow, considering the fact that there weren't that many customers at that time. I ordered a dessert, which was their famous ube cheesecake, and it took almost half an hour to get it. In the end, it was worth the wait as it was the best dish I had during my lunch

Me and my boyfriend went to get dinner here, and the aesthetic of the restaurant was beautiful. We were served by Moeka, who provided really professional, kind and friendly service, and ensured our food arrived quickly to a good quality as well :) We got crispy pata, beef kare-kare and chicken lemongrass sisig. I strongly recommend these, the portions were filling enough for the both of us, and as a Filipino myself I think the flavours were pretty authentic! It arrived very quickly as well as we went to check out the bakery for a few minutes after ordering, and as soon as we got back to the table everything had already arrived! However, everything was quite pricey, but understandable especially for being in Central London. Other than that, everything else was perfect. I highly recommend Kasa and Kin to any fans of Filipino food, or anyone who hasn't tried Filipino food yet.

me and my friend visited kasa and kin thinking that it will be an exceptional restaurant as its sister restaurant romulo...unfortunately got disappointed...the kare kare was a bit bland...sisig was not the sisig we were expecting as we tasted better in the streets of manila...and gambas was salty...the service was slow except for the bill and payment...does it worth it?...hmmm way more to go i believe
