Delicious food, beautifully cooked, graciously served. Meals made with care and imagination.

Outstanding food and expertly served. Surprisingly for such a great restaurant we were the only ones in. Despite the fact that our was a mix of vegetarian and omnivore we all found the food delicious. Very highly recommended.

Food quality is next level and the staff are exceptionally friendly. Only issue is that the portions are small despite the high price.

Amazingly delicious food interesting vegan food. Really friendly and a nice chilled out atmosphere. Went there for my 50th birthday meal and would not have chosen anywhere else. Sadly one thing that’s not great is that some of the food is deep fried without ventilation in the same location as where you eat… my clothes still really smell quite strongly of frying great a day later. If they could solve this problem, I think it would be perfect.

Really good food , disappointed no meat option for carnivores , other wise well worth a visit.

We found this restaurant via Happy Cow and were very happy with our meal. We decided to stick with starters and dessert and were not disappointed. The menu changes regularly.

Visited here last Saturday evening, 6 family members all with different Veggie and Vegan dietary requirements. There were lots too choose from but the team at Karibu went beyond and cooked us something off menu to help with Jain needs. The food was delicious and I can highly recommend it.

Fantastic food on the sun terrace overlooking Rodborough fields. We’re not vegan but loved the food & friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Definitely recommend

Myself, my partner and our chihuahua went to twice to Karibu -we were in Stroud for 5 days. We were made made very welcome. Although the choice is limited, the food was cooked to perfection. Very tasty vegan fare, desserts too. Sundi (the owner/chef) was very helpful about other places in the area. A real treat. 😊

Love how the chef put in efforts to cook the food. I like how the menu are not over crowded with tons of dishes, you get to taste What they served. Love the polenta chips which I personally think a must try dish..

I have had so many disappointing meals eating out so my experience at Karibu was unexpected and very welcome. The food was truly delicious and you would definately not need to be vegan or vegetarian to enjoy one of the dishes. Lovely staff and vibe. Would definately recommend

We came over from hereford and it was well worth the journey,we will definitely be paying frequent visits. We had Alice's smokey stew and dumplngs, Mung bean curry, caramelised plantain, and a chocolate delight, everything was cooked perfectly with beautiful flavours, left us feeling happy and full! We really can't pour enough praise on Karibu, perfect experience in every way! Thank you for everything!

A really great little restaurant in Stroud. I found Karibu online whilst looking for vegan places in the Cotswolds and it was lovely. The food was really delicious and is apparently a fusion of the owner's Kenyan heritage and his travels in South America and Asia. We order half the menu and shared it. Massasan curry was creamy and delicious. Nachos with home cooked tortilla chips and smashed plantain, was really fresh. The mung bean curry makes mung bean taste great! The chocolate delights are liked inverted Ferrero Roche on steroids. It's got a home cooking feel in the best way, like every dish has soul and has been made with care. Vegan or not it's really worth checking out!

A must go restaurant. Stumbled upon this place when visiting the local area and was so pleasantly surprised to find this gorgeous place. The owner and staff were so kind and welcoming, talking to us about the food and giving recommendations, even a free starter as we were new to the area. We had two mains and drinks and the menu is so good. It was fully of flavour and really unique. The atmosphere was cosy and I loved our dinner there. We'll be back next time we're in Stroud!

Beautiful food. I had the samosas and the coriander dip that accompanied them was so sharp and tangy. I also really enjoyed the kachri bateta for the same reason. Wish I lived nearer!

What a great find, well worth making a quick detour from the M5 for! We had the Ghoulash, Sweet & Sour Tofu, Polenta chips (the best we had ever had) and broccoli side, along with a Pineapple Daquiri mock tail and Stroud brewery IPA. We enjoyed the evening sun from the rooftop terrace and were delighted with the flavours, size of portions and experienced great friendly service. We will definitely be back!

Just tried a take away for the first time. The food was amazing would recommend the smoky red pepper goulash. The broccoli and rice fritters were a great side dish. I would definitely be going back.

Great vegan food. Spiced just right. Right amount of dishes to offer variety but not overwhelm. Restaurant is lovely- perfect for casual dining, romantic evenings or taking in the sights from the roof terrace.

The food we had on Saturday evening as a takeaway was amazing. I had the pancakes and polenta chips and my husband had the burger. The flavours were truly AMAZING, the texture everything was fantastic!! The staff as well were really friendly and helpful and the chef on another level!! A fabulous selection of dishes, all of which taste truly amazing, and it's also licensed and you can enjoy a Stroud vegan draught beer too! The owner / chef is always very welcoming and helpful and it is a great atmosphere, partly because the staff are happy and cheerful.

I started with Vegtable samosa's. Followed by bean, couscous garlic bread for main. I had bottle green elderflower presse and a Pineapple mocktail. Vegtable samosa's were tasty flavour improved further with the sauce accomanyment. The 'Lebanese ful and cucuous salad' balanced well together with bean and the couscous. The couscous dish blended fresh and raw ingridents well having the cooked beans and fresh cucumber and diced red onion in the couscous. Garlic bread was delicious, not knowing what to expect other than obviously not going to be a traditional Italian one. But worked well. It being a burger bun lid having spices on, including oregano (thyme, parsley). The pineapple mocktail was sweet, tropical and exquisite while the flavour being sophisticated. It was made fresh to order, Glad I tried the Pineapple mocktail as one of the highlights of the meal. Overall very tasty. Would highly recommended and cone again. This time didn't starter Main, and full. So Maybe another time I'll try Main, dessert to try some of the desserts too.

Thumbs Up 👍🏻 to the chef. Delicious food. Being a vegetarian myself , this is by far the best vegan food I’ve ever had so far in the UK. Staff and chef were really polite and passionate about what they do. My fav was : Caramelised Plantain, Spicy Cauliflower and The Indian curry

The food here is consistently outstanding. Every dish I've tried has been amazing and the burger really surprised me today. The chef was able to accommodate a substitute, which was appreciated. Highly recommend! :)

Delicious freshly cooked food with friendly, helpful staff. Atmosphere only let down by road works outside the front door. Once the road works are finished then I'm sure the atmosphere will be a 5.

Ordered food for pick up when staying in the area for a little weekend break. So beyond impressed with the fact there was a fully vegan place at all, but the food was insanely delicious. Nice options, the staff are lovely and friendly and it only took 20 mins to be ready! I live in London but would come back to Stroud purely for this place, highly recommend!!

We were staying near Stroud and struggled to find any vegan restaurants to eat. Karibu was brilliant. Food was delicious and very friendly staff. Very highly recommended!

My 2nd visit to Karibu restaurant in the same weekend! What more can I say....? In my opinion, it is one of best quality vegan food I have tasted. In my first visit, I had mexican nachos with beans which was bursting with flavours. The second meal I had was sweet and sour tofu for starters and cripsy corn cakes with tofu, both of which tasted delicious. My visit couldn't go without a dessert so the 1st time round I ordered a uniquely tasting caramelised plantain with peanut and walnut brittle and icecream. The 2nd time i went for chocolate delight which was indeed delightful with quite a unique concept! Both of these were to die for! I love cocktails!! So I couldn't resist trying a couple. I tried Sangria & Caipirao which is a Portuguese drink. A must try in my opinion! Both were refreshing and I sure was having a mellow buzz ☺ which was pleasant with a scenaric sunset view upstairs in the rooftop terrace. Besides the good quality food, the staff are very welcoming - all smiles and the chef has attention to detail with his dishes, taste and flavours. Definitely recommend it and am sure you won't regret it!!

Delicious food, excellent wine, and good service. The menu has a small selection but there is a nice variety and the dishes they do serve are of an exceptionally good quality. The vegan wine was excellent. The service was good, they were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will definitely dine here again, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a meal from Karibu tonight and it was fantastic ! The flavours were amazing 🤩 The guy in the restaurant was very informative and friendly. I would highly recommended this restaurant or take out service to everyone!

What can I say other than... Wow! I ordered the Tagine and I was really impressed. The clever combinations of flavours complimented each other really well and the food was so fresh and packed full of flavour. The host San is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and helped me choose what to eat as I am a very fussy eater. I will definitely highly recommend as the food tastes great, is healthy, very fresh and reasonably priced too with good sized portions.

First experience of Karibu food tonight. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. All the dishes were beautifully cooked to perfection and packed with spices, flavours and textures. I didn’t even miss meat it was so tasty. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend a visit. A little gem in Stroud 💕

Karibu popped up on Too Good To Go and I thought it was worth a try - oh my goodness it was definitely worth the drive across - we had the Cajun burger, the tagine and the curry and they were all absolutely delicious. I look forward to coming back to enjoy more in the future (and trying out the dog friendly roof terrace).

We went last night for dinner. My 11 year old son, who is not vegan and who is notoriously difficult to feed (he only agreed to come to Karibu because it was my birthday), upon completion of our meal he said “that was amazing, I wish I could relive the whole meal!” He must have said how wonderful it was about 10 times! I personally loved that chef and owner Sandeep came out to ever table to check on the meals! The food was delicious and service very good. We don’t go out often, and that was the nicest meal we’ve had in a long time. Thank you!
