We had the most delicious lunch at Amalfi with Silvia being the most brilliant hostess. We had the arancini followed by tiramisu which I have to say was the best I have ever tasted. Silvia made sure to keep us a table outside and even had the ashtray ready for my husband - so incredibly welcoming and attentive to all our needs. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Went here after a long walk I had poached eggs on toast friend had Salmon and cream cheese sandwich was excellent we normally go to Henry's but as was so busy thought we try this place.

Lovely and welcoming hosts, had full vegetarian english breakfast which was delicious. Everything was fresh and made with love. Highly recommend!

Celebrating Grandson's 21st Birthday with a full English breakfast for Will. I myself had a very tasty light Omelette full of flavour. Excellent Italian Coffees! Great start to the day! Sylvie very welcoming and accommodating. 100% recommend you try it. You will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed an extensive afternoon tea. Our hostess supplemented the sandwiches if desired! The kitchen closes at 5pm so...don't be late!!

Lovely cafe & Italian restaurant. Sylvie was so welcoming and could not have been more helpful. Lovely choice of hot lunches. The carbonara was amazing with really crispy lardons. Highly recommend. The cake selection makes choosing very difficult. We particularly enjoyed the cherry cake & fruity flapjack 😋😊. Dogs are welcome and payment can be made by cash or card. Definitely worth a visit 👍.

Lovely cafe offering the usual drinks and beautiful cakes, we opted for meals from menu which had a great selection from Full Breakfast, sandwiches panini’s and a fabulous specials board. Staff lovely and very welcoming with homemade foods that tasted amazing. Looking forward to revisiting.

A must visit for great service, and a range of Italian meals, plus delicious cakes and coffee. Sylvie is the most wonderful host! A great Cotswolds experience in Minchinhampton, close to the Common.

Perfect stop on our cycling trip

Love this little village cafe. I've been coming here for decades when in the area. It has recently changed hands from lovely people, and it seems the new owners have carried on the tradition. The menu has an Italian flavour reflecting the new ownership, but English cakes and breakfast, etc, still preserve the village tea shop atmosphere.

Delightful experience. We were made very welcome . Very "Italian". We will go again very soon.

Lovely lunch, I had beef lasagne and it was delicious 😋 husband had pannini and really enjoyed it. So friendly, especially Sylvia and warm friendly atmosphere.

Enjoyed a memorable lunch time here. Henry's wasn't serving food so we went here instead . So glad we did . Pleasant walk round lead us here . Quaint tea pots and china cups ( a pot of hot water for top ups would be a nice addition) were a nice touch and the reasonably priced lunch menu was varied and substantial. We chose (would have had the lamb shank and dessert deal £20) but we were out to dinner later . So Paninis it was one veggie one chicken . Both were well presented and a good size ,nice homemade slaw and some leaves on the side . Overall very nice and we will return. Thanks for reading all 40k of you now and we will see you all again soon .

Popped in to this wonderful welcoming little place today with my friend and my dog, after a long walk around the common etc. Staff were extremely kind and friendly, and very engaging. We only had coffees as we were in a bit of a rush.. but next time, we will definitely be eating. The food looked so tempting. See you again soon.

Nice new Italian take on an established cafe in Minchinhampton. The decor adds to the atmosphere. The service is friendly & attentive and the food is of good quality & reasonably priced. Worth booking in case it gets too busy.

We stopped here for an afternoon cake and drinks and were walmly welcomed. The tiramisu cake was excellent - light and fluffy and not too overwhelmed by the icing. My mother in law had the gluten-free brownie and said it was delicious, especially warmed up. I'd happily eat here again with such friendly staff and top quality cakes.

Just had weekend brunch there for the first time since Amalfi assumed ownership and were delighted. They have done a great job of maintaining the great food and warm atmosphere of the previous restaurant, the Kitchen, and have added the friendly and attentive service Amalfi provides at their nearby restaurant in Nailsworth. It is one of our first choice places for brunch!

Having lunch in La cucina di Amalfi has felt like coming back home in Italy! The whole vibe of the place is so cozy and warm, the food was delicious and the staff makes you feel comfortable and cared for! Special mention on Silvia's dessert and cappuccino which were spectacular (one can feel the love in them!) when you come, don't forget to try the salame al cioccolato from the specials, it is amazing!

The new owners have no right riding on the backs of their hard work, dedication and passion they put into everything they did and offered!! The Cucina Di Amalfi are not worthy of the praise and recognition posted on here which was posted from the loyal customers of "The Kitchen" and after our one experience here, my friends and I vowed never to return.

Could not have been friendlier and more welcoming, despite having a very busy run while we were there! Everyone through the door was treated like an important customer, and new friend, and the family feel was a lovely experience. Excellent food too!

Just had another afternoon tea at The Kitchen. I’ve eaten afternoon teas all over the place and this is the best - not only is the food superb and fresh but the service is exceptional. A real homely feel - everyone is so friendly. Wish I lived in Minchinhampton - I’d take up residence in this gorgeous tea shop. Attention to detail brilliant- even the loo is fabulously clean. Faultless.

This is a really lovely cafe, we went for lunch and ordered the soup and a panini, which were both delicious. They have a standard menu of sandwiches, paninis and cakes, but they also have a specials board with lots of really yummy sounding dishes on there like cottage pie, lasagne, and quiche. The veggie options are great and you can tell the ingredients they use are really fresh, the bread for the soup was gorgeous. The staff are so lovely and attentive, which only contributes more to the positive and welcoming atmosphere in the cafe. 5 stars, would highly recommend!

Hier sind 5 Sterne absolut angebracht! Die Freundlichkeit der Inhaberin sowie der Mitarbeiterin ist so herzlich, dass man eigentlich nicht mehr gehen möchte. Einfache, leckere Gerichte runden den Aufenthalt ab. Um einen Platz zu ergattern sollte man unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Asumpta and Peter are the owners. Delightful couple, so welcoming and friendly. A truly authentic family run establishment. We had homemade cake, with a hot beverage. The Kitchen was spotless, toilets clean with fresh flowers everywhere. Stopped at this gem of a place while on holiday throughout the UK. We all agreed that this place and its staff were the cherry on top for our trip. Had the most delicious quiche and salad yesterday in this delightful tea shop. Assumpta is simply the best hostess, couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. My friend had a coughing fit and she brought water to the table, then took a glass to her outside as she'd gone for some fresh air. We're coming back for the cream tea .... Soon

Intimate and very welcoming tea rooms with a great selection of cakes presented daily. We enjoyed our visit and we're well looked after by the friendly hosts. Situated in the Cotswold village of Minchinhampton, we noticed that the restaurant is well used by locals and visitors alike, and therefore advisable to make a booking. Tasty food and attractive cream teas are the highlights of dining here. I enjoyed a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich and my wife liked the Cinnamon toast. Speciality tea is served to go with your meal. Lighting is cheerful and adds to the ambiance of our visit.

The kitchen only gets better as time passes by. The latest owner is super friendly and this is a lovely place to relax (if you can get in).

Lovely, quaint Cotswold cafe, with vintage style crockery and mix and match furniture serving excellent, food including the days homemade specials. Very warm welcome and attention to detail from the owner, Assumpta, nothing is too much trouble, our second visit, standards are being maintained and todays beef curry was exceptional with tender meat and tasty sauce and rice, followed by homemade chunky apple pie and custard, a real treat. Teas and coffees and homemade cakes are also available throughout the dayb

I rarely write Google reviews but following our second visit to The Kitchen yesterday for a birthday cream tea with our two young children, I felt I needed to share our experience. If you are thinking about going here, please do! You will not be disappointed. Assumpta instantly made us all feel incredibly welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. We had as much tea as we could drink (refilled several times) and everything we ate was all freshly made and absolutely delicious - the scones are actually the best I have ever tasted. Thankyou Assumpta and your team for a truly wonderful afternoon, we will most definitely be back.
