For the main course, we enjoyed the Kerala Parotta, which was beautifully layered, flaky, and soft—an ideal companion for the gravies. The Nadan Beef Curry stood out with its deep, rich, and aromatic blend of spices, cooked to perfection with tender beef pieces. Ruined Valentine’s Day – Unacceptable! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I placed an order through Uber Eats for Valentine’s Day, waited two whole hours, only to have it suddenly canceled without any explanation. No call, no apology, nothing—just a notification saying my order was canceled. I don’t even know who’s responsible for this mess, the restaurant or Uber Eats, but either way, they completely ruined my evening. Absolutely unacceptable. If you value your time (and your special occasions), avoid this place at all costs!

Just had a takeaway and whilst the food tasted quite good some of the portion sizes were really small. £9 for literally 3 prawns in some sauce is ridiculous. Rice portions, considering it is just bolted rice again small. Very poor value for money.

Food is horrible. Tastes bitter . Please do not cook this rubbish for people. Be mindful with their health. We have ordered pander, egg masala, poor and kallappam. All of them were ridiculous.

Another south Indian restaurant serving good quality Kerala food, we saw good reviews in Google so decided to try it out. Staff were amazing, very warm and pleasant. We had made reservation for Saturday, restaurant was almost full. Starters we had mixed seafood platter and lamb pepper fry- lamb was perfectly cooked, tasted authentic and maintained original spice level- definite must try. Mains we had Appam, Kallapam and Malabar fish curry- we expected red fish curry, but what we got was more towards fish molly/coconut milk based curry style but it was still good, thick gravy and complemented well with Appam. Dessert we had Payasam- which was good and not too sweet (more towards my liking). Overall we had good dining experience and would suggest to try this out if around Wycombe area for authentic Kerala food.

We went for having lunch and the food as well as customer service was very nice. The food tasted so nice especially the lamb curry and the service of Sachin was soo good.

Always a pleasure to visit/take out food from Kappad. The authentic taste of Kerala cuisine coupled with great customer services makes this one of our most frequently visited restaurants.

It's very good as a British South Indian restaurant as the food caters to the British palate. The ambience and service is really good. However, I personally felt that the food doesn't taste anything like Kerala food. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but it's not the Kerala taste, it's a more generic Sri Lankan Tamil taste. And definitely not Malabar style if we go by the name of the restaurant.

Such a great place- the food is spectacular. Whatever magic they put on the aubergine curry should be studied because that dish is something else! The paratha bread is also delicious. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal Lamb curry for mains with Parotta and Appam, also carrying some for the next day home. Starter chicken was is not very spicy, nor bland but optimum with different notes hit. Great evening meal.

The food is truly remarkable. We started with the prawn ullath and beef cutlet specials. Both starters were superb, bursting with authentic flavors that would delight any palate. The main courses continued to impress: the Kerala parotta and appam were perfect accompaniments to the flavorful Calicut chicken biriyani and the exquisitely prepared meen pollichathu. Each dish was full of vibrant, mouthwatering flavors, making it impossible to find any fault. The experience was so delightful that I could have easily indulged in more and more. Kappad is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great South Indian cuisine. I wholeheartedly recommend it and rate it five stars.

We love you Calicut chicken biryani dish and masala dosa they are beautiful 😍 But please look into your yoghurt dip and pickles dip that come with pappadoms. Mango chutney would be perfect alternative or a option 😊. We looked forward to ordering again soon.

The Kappad South Indian Dining is the one of the best Restaurants in High Wycombe Which has Tastiest foods.I would recommend for everyone to go there and have a taste.

Last week the food was so good I decided to treat my granddaughter this week and we were so dissapointed the Bombay Aloos had no flavour whatsoever.which ruined our meal and as i dont eat meat the potatoes are the maincourse.

Eat in here for the first time. Had the feast and wasn't dissapointed. In reality a taster menu with lots of different dishes. Well worth the visit, may have found our new go to dining venue for after the game.

I think next time I will stick to what I know(the masala dosa is good). Today I ordered a starter called Prawns Ularthu, if I had known that for £7.99 all you get is only 2 prawns in a bowl of what looked like curried onions for that particular starter then I wouldn’t have wasted my money on that starter. That was my main issue, The Kerala Paratha was also not soft but it was the prawn starter that got me! I won’t be ordering through Just Eat again!

We eat out a lot and I heard about this place so we thought we’d give it a try. My husband and I are always in disagreement about which Indian restaurants we like best. But at last we have found one we both love. The food tastes so fresh and the lemon rice is delicious and the paratha is so light. Each dish is very tasty and not greasy. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely. Lots of Indian families in there enjoying themselves which is the benchmark of authentic exceptional cuisine Thank you. We will be back very soon. My husband wants to come every day now - ha ha

Good ambience and food. If you are want to try the flavours of kerala, this is a great place. Nice staff. This place is mostly busy so would suggest reserving a table.

Superb Southern India food - complements to the chef and staff. There are many highlights here. The Cobra IPA - wow. The mutton dish. But I came here for the dosa - I haven't had many since I was in Bangalore a few years ago. Fantastic. I added the bill so you can see what we had. Grandma's signature prawn dish - if you like prawns then you will love this. Free 'Terry's Orange' flavour chocolates at the end. We are out to see JoJo at The Swan - so couldn't stay long. For sure I will be back again for more culinary enjoyment. Once again - my compliments to the chef and what a gem of a place.

Good place to have South Indian Food

This was a totally different experience of Indian food, tasty and delicious, lovely service and friendly staff

Totally delicious, totally authentic Keralan food, right in the heart of High Wycombe. The food was fresh, appropriately spicy (not too much, not too little) and very much in tune with the food I've always eaten in India over the past 20 years. I do love a good old UK High Street Indian... this is not one of them, it's on a totally different level of greatness. It's real Indian food, created with love, care and authenticity to true Keralan style with richness and lightness of flavour and of spice. Nothing wrong with a traditional UK Indian restaurant but the food is very different in those; Kappad however is an Indian education. Well done and keep up the great work. I will be back with more of my friends!

For the presentation and quality of food, friendliness of staff, you cannot find a better restaurant, it’s absolutely superb in every respect and the drinks are great too especially the traffic light which is amazing.

Good food is something one misses when one leaves one’s motherland. Having moved to the UK about 25 years ago, we are/were always on the lookout for authentic, good quality food from back home and being from south India, we were pleased when we discovered this delightful place in High Wycombe! As a Malayali (that is what people from the state of Kerala are called ), I can tell you the food here is as good as it gets. We, as a family, have been visiting this charming restaurant for a while now and every time, we have come away with smiles on our faces. Not just eat-in, we get take-away food as well. Food: Now, if you were to ask me, what I like here, you ought to trust me when I say “everything.” I can honestly say I have eaten most of the food on the present menu and previous menus too. I especially love the appams and egg roast – some of you may find the roast a tad spicy, but trust me it is divine. Some of my favourites include prawns ularthu, adipoli kozhi, lamb black pepper fry, Mysore masala dosa, meen pollichathu, konju masala, beef peralan, koonu curry, Travancore okra, aviyal, chicken biriyani, lemon rice, ……the list goes on and on! Staff: The chefs are truly humble guys – we have met Silson and Lijo to personally complement them about their food. It is obvious that they are quite passionate about what they do. Service: Saravanan, Edward, Johnson, Pratima, Abin, Rosemol - have I named everyone? Excellent – all of them are polite, attentive and serve you with a smile. Top team. Would we come here again? YES, YES, YES. We come here regularly, if not every week, at least once in a fortnight. In fact, just the other day my wife and I had our lunch at Kappad and returned the same evening for supper! Do I need to say anymore? To summarise: Great food, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service. You will come back for more! Well done to you all at Kappad!

Our first taste of Keralan food. We would be back if we didn't live 80 miles away.We had a £31 set 4 course menu for Valentines , the dessert was an excellent Creme brule .

Fabulous place serving great food

I went with my daughters to eat. We had a mango lasi and chicken biryani, I loved it. I loved it. I am a fan of Indian food but what I ate was spectacular. Next time when I come back I will go again, thank you very much for everything.Namaste!
