I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s the best Turkish food I’ve ever had, and the staff is very friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

A friend and I went to this restaurant two months ago. We had different lamb dishes and both were delicious. The pudding was traditional Turkish and different for us but we enjoyed it. The ice cream was full of flavour and delicious. Service was great and prices very reasonable. We went back again a month later and chose different dishes. Nothing changed. The food was delicious and service great.

Good Turkish food in a cosy setting. Wings was grilled perfectly and the stewed lamb was tasty as well. They serve also a lunch menu were you choose a main dish and it comes with a drink from 14.95£

Great atmosphere and great service. However, if you are looking for and used to very flavourful turkish cuisine.... this is unfortunately not the place. The meat is really only seasoned with salt and pepper.... lacking the wonderful Turkish marinade.

After pouring rain this evening, I went inside this restaurant and asked for a tea while waiting for my boyfriend to join me. First of all, I would like to share the lack of customer service the staff showed, stafft, the lady there did not even greet me or was pleasant to talk to. When she learned that I wanted just a tea for that moment, she stated " ok, but this is a restaurant" kind of letting me know that my petition was not valid as it was only a tea. What she did not know is that my boyfriend and I were going to eat later at that restaurant and I was just waiting for him to arrive. Receiving this type of service made realised why the restaurant was completely empty to begin with. I hope that they learn from this review and do not provide such a poor service to other customers in the future specially when it is raining and cold outside. I would have rating them 0 stars but I was not able to. But definetely, it is not a restaurant that I would come and spend my money on. Reply to the response: YES, I CERTAINLY KNOW AS YOU DO!!! ;)

Absolutely exquisite authentic food and deserts to die for

Nice atmosphere and service but food was hit and miss unfortunately. The humus kavurma for starters was far too oily swimming in butter but the mixed grilled platter was nice. For desserts we ordered profiteroles which was actually dried up chocolate cake nothing like you would expect of profiteroles but the baklava was fresh. So overall 3 out of 5, the staff was friendly and you can tell it's a family owned restaurant with character so I hope they improve the food.

We order takeway regularly from Kapak as well as eating in the restaurant itself.When choosing a local venue for a special birthday in September and with guests coming from far and wide we had to choose very carefully. Needless to say we made exactly the right choice. Kapak won hands down for taste,variety and quality of food, atmosphere, quality of service and price. The birthday girl had a fantastic time as did the whole group and the staff went out of their way to make this a special night.

Authentic Turkish cuisine. The mixed meat platter travels very well on covid takeout rules. As close as you can get to the in house taste at the moment. Update. Lovely restaurant and great food and service. Steak if fab.

Wonderful place that I cannot recommend highly enough. There is another Turkish place in Raynes Park that is perhaps a little more 'Insta-worthy' but Kapak is hand down the best food! Our server, whose name I did not catch, was delightfully friendly and efficient; nothing was too much trouble. She seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were having a good time. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I had halloumi to start followed by the salmon on skewers. Delicious. I will be back :)

I Love dining at Kapak! Since we have moved into the area as a family this has fast become our favourite place to dine! The food is incredible and the staff is so welcoming and friendly! From date nite to a family meal we have enjoyed Kapak for all! Look forward to holding my Birthday party at Kapak!

I came in for a chicken sauté and it was incredible. Filled with authentic flavor and accompanied by an amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff. Overall a really pleasant evening and the owners Lenny & Gaynor made our night even better with friendly chat and jokes with us.

We've enjoyed food from Kapak many times so when it came to choosing a restaurant to celebrate a special birthday the choice was very easy. And then on the night we all had the most wonderful time.All of the food from start to finish and drinks were amazing and the whole team went out of their way to make our whole party feel welcome and helped make it a truly memorable occasion. I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart and they can be very proud of everything from their food, to the decor, to their staff.

This family run place is home to the best Turkish food in the area. We visit at least 2 times a month. Would recommend the Hummus Kavurma and the mixed grill.

Been here several times and it never disappoints. Took my elderly friend who frequents another local Turkish restaurant. She was delighted with the extensive menu and loved the house red, the delightful owners and cosiness of interior. Loved the food so much she took what she couldn't eat home. She wants to return. My wife had the Imam bayildi ( stuffed aubergine ) and said it was stunning well worth it I had the lamb Kleftiko and it never disappoints My Son had the Mengen which is a lamb dish and he says it’s now his new favourite

My friend and I had a lovely meal here. The food was delicious and the service was great. Shoutout to our waitress Paige who persuaded me to try the cheesecake, definitely a good shout. I would recommend highly.

Been coming here or ordering takeaways for a family dinner or a party regularly for the past year, and it never fails. The meat platter (mixed grill) is consistently juicy, so is lamb liver, salads are great too. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Everyone I brought over or recommended this place to - also loved it.

Came in for a collection for 2 chicken Shish and chips not cooked properly, rice all water mushy and bread not good. Forgot my chips and I called for refund she said ‘ I’ll try’ and didn’t refund me. £33 wasted and now we are sick from food poisoning

All items on the menu are also offered as takeaway via orba or just eat at a 15% Discount. Had an excellent meal in the newly decorated decking area out the front which was lovey in the evening sunshine. We had the cold and hot mezze platters and they were excellent. Lovely warm bread to go with it. Excellent service. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant is my favorite in Wimbledon. I think it's one of the best Turkish food I've had in London, really. The owner & chef, Levent is an amazing cook, very friendly and always brings the most beuaitufllly decorated plates. We love every single item on the menu, but our favorites are mezze, mixed grill for 4 and lentil soup. Nothing ever beats this food. We go there with our kids all the time and they devour all the kebabs. Worth every penny.

Had a wonderful evening meal here celebrating my birthday. Warm welcome, great atmosphere, delicious food, lots of choice on menu incl plenty of veggie options (i had baked halloumi), generous portions, good value for money... they also made a fuss of me for my birthday with a few treats and the best Happy Birthday music ever 😆 we had a great evening and will def be back (The homemade banofee pie is delicious!)

Me and my friend and neighbour visited last minute for her birthday. The quality of the food and service is great. Soft , tasty qood quality lamb, fresh crunchy salad. Warm freshly made pitta,with garlic and chilli sauce. Not a thing was left on our plates! Totally scrumptious. The Baklava is the best I've ever tasted. Grated pistachio and vanilla ice cream that cut through the sweetness perfectly. Its the 1st time my friend had been and now she's hooked like me. This is a real gem of a restaurant. Friendly staff and consistently good food and friendly service 👌

We experienced a delight warm welcome at Kapak. The service was impeccable, delicious food from this family business. We will certainly be going back.

The food and the service were both outstanding. I went with my girlfriend to eat on New Years Eve. We absolutely loved it. I ordered the mixed grill and all of the meat was cooked to perfection and tasted stunning having been cooked over their authentic charcoal grill. We had some baklava with vanilla ice cream to finish things off and it’s the best baklava I’ve ever had - when I’ve tried it in the past at other places it can sometimes be overly drenched in syrup but at Kapak it was just right. Great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks also. I would highly recommend - we’ll certainly be going back!

Ordered the meat platter for two. Fairly generous portion size with a good variety of meats, salad and complimentary bread. Sadly, the flavours weren't there for us. While the meats had colour to them and were cooked tender, they lacked seasoning and a charred flavour. The salad dressing needed more sharpness. Their chilli (more like a mild salsa) and garlic sauces were tasty though and the bread fresh and warm. Service was fantastic, with the staff very attentive and friendly. Restaurant was also clean, well decorated and catered to large groups. Prices are very reasonable.

Ate here twice with my workmate after work. Lovely people warm and welcoming. The food is absolutely fantastic and delicious too. The meat platter for 2 is excellent value for money too. Was even treated to some Turkish Tea on the house too. Will definitely return when next in the area

This is a friendly, family run restaurant that serves succulent and tender lamb dishes. My husband and I celebrated our 40th Ruby Wedding anniversary here with 18 family and friends. The starters were generous and tasty, the mixed meat platters were delicious. Our vegetarian and pescatarian friends were well catered for. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We’ve had many good meals here, and some of our friends have been back there for a meal.

We brought a large party of children and adults here at late notice. The team couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating and the food was excellent.

Visited with my Turkish friend and 5 year old son for an early Sat lunch - food delicious - lamb and chicken Shish and halloumi, smoked aubergine dip - we devoured everything and my friend had many cups of Turkish tea afterwards which she loved. My son was kept entertained with drawing stuff and his artwork is now proudly displayed on the wall with other bright kiddy contributions. Staff lovely and will return 🤗

I had a fantastic meal here with my family last week. The staff were so friendly and also helped us with choosing our wine - we went for a Turkish wine and it was lovely. The food was absolutely delicious - we had three courses - and the portions were so generous that we couldn't finish it all! The staff kindly packaged up our leftovers for us so that we could take them home with us. There was a calm, relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and we will certainly be returning again soon. Worst Turkish food I have ever consumed. Tasteless and dry. Be prepared to have flies hovering your plate as you attempt to eat.

A very disappointing meal, the saddest “Turkish” food I have seen and tasted.

Good food, friendly service, ginormous portions. The lamb chops are a particular treat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our quiz team meal here. I was a bit early so sat and had a lovely g&t and it is a very pleasant place to sit, loved the decor. Mr. Levent Chef & Ms. Gonul were very professional and friendly. All the starters looked and tasted great. Turkish sausage, halloumi ,falafel, kebabs and salads were very awesome. Main courses were all good , and size able. Various kebabs, med chicken, seafood and mixed grill all looked and tasted very good. Quality produce was used. We were all too full to have dessert. Highly recommended.

Authentic Turkish restaurant with delicious, well cooked food; amazing service; and a rustic, warm decor. Slightly cheaper than it’s competitors in the area, but the portions are more generous! I know which one I’ll be coming back to.

Meat is always cooked perfectly, and the staff are great at providing excellent service.

When you don’t know what to order~ The food recommended by the staff will bring you a happy and enjoyable meal. There are many traditional Turkish restaurants, but the taste of the food and the friendly staff are the best of any restaurant. Every time When I visit, I leave a lasting impression that I want to come again next time.

Been to many Turkish places in London but this one by far had the best meat quality and the way it’s cooked is just unbelievable! Definitely 5 stars. Only thing which can be better is the size of the sauce dressings as it’s only one spoon full and maybe dates to break your fast would be recommended. Will be coming back to try the other dishes!
