Kanassa in Leeds

I first tried Kanassa on early December and I've been 5 times since. The food is freshly made, absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced. My absolute favourite is the black bean arepas, but I've really enjoyed everything I've tried. The staff are very friendly and pleasant, the sopft drinks are more reasonably priced than other stalls and I honestly can't fault it. It was my first introduction to Columbian food; t I think I've found a new favourite cuisine!

Leeds seems to be a great city in which to be a coeliac. A GF bakery, a branch of Pho, and a GF restaurant Oxford Place, but nothing quite matches Kanassa for flavour and value. We had the Black Bean Arepa with a side of plantain and every bite was incredible. So much depth in every aspect of the dish, and such a good portion I'm glad I was sharing. I live 90 miles away but will be back!

10/10 would recommend to ANYONE ! I’ve been to Kanassa loads, eaten my way through the menu and can confirm... nothing disappoints. Staff are all informative babes who are willing to alter dishes to suit dietary needs and preferences. LASTLY, the stall is a beauty so both your eyes and belly will be pleased you chose to eat here! p.s. their bowls are reusable and compostable p.p.s they have a BYOBowl initiative to get 10% off - eco queens we LOVE to see it !

I’ve not been to the market in Leeds for some year but this new food area is amazing. So much choice. I came across Kanassa and I wasn’t disappointed. Wonderful fresh food cooked in front of you. It’s very clean and the staff are very friendly. They serve gluten and dairy free food. Definitely returning here for more Colombian inspired street food.
