Kana Kazana in South Derbyshire

Fresh and well cooked food with diffent menu choices than typically seen. Perhaps a little oilly would be only thing to mention.

Went spontaneously and was far from disappointed. Our waiter Jay was a really nice guy and nothing was too much trouble. To start we had poppadoms and chutneys and the premium platter which was really tasty. For my main I had Lamb Rogan, cheese Naan and some chips. The lamb rogan was really tasty with roasted garlic on top and the lamb was melt in the mouth tender. The Naan was light and fluffy with the perfect amount of cheese beautifully sandwiched between. Over all I would highly recommend Kana Kazana and will definitely visit again.

We went on Friday night for the first time. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Nicely decorated inside and comfortable seating tables nicely spaced out. Ordered various dishes all delivered on taste and portion size. Dhaal makhani was sweet and we didn't like that but that's a personal preference. Overall lovely experience and we would go back.

Tables were sanitised between users. We were put on a spare table whilst ours was being prepared so we were standing by the door, when we were moved to our table, this original table was not sanitised before the next guests used it. No social distancing. Good choice of wines. Mahi Mahi made two of the table ill. Two different Mahi mahi dishes ordered and both of us felt very ill that night, other person in the party that had a chicken dish was fine. Nice atmosphere, good value for money and good service but would not go back.

Telephoned Sunday 2nd Jan at 3.00 pm to enquire if they were open this evening for me to get a takeaway at circa 5.30 pm. The answer was yes. Surprise, Surprise: turned up bang on 5.30 pm: place closed !!! Not impressed.

Second time here, great food, great service and the restaurant has a pleasant ambiance. Highly recommended!

First time at Kana Kazana, and I've got to say the positive reviews for this curry house are well founded. Contemporary, comfortable surroundings backed up by friendly attentive staff. The food and service was excellent - especially the mains with a very nice keema nan. We shall return.

Lovely Indian restaurant that has been finished to a high standard. Starters and mains were all presented very well and extremely tasty and I can highly recommended. Service was friendly, prompt and very professional.

The food was fresh, of a very high standard, and the portions were generous, not always the case in 'gastro' indian restaurants. There was a decent wine list too. Only mild criticism was some slow service at times, but it was a busy Saturday night, and the restaurant was fully booked so not really surprising. Will visit again, but maybe try mid week.

We cannot fault the meal we had here this evening. The food was wonderful, cooked to perfection and the flavours were sublime. We will definitely be back again!

I visited with a friend on a Wednesday evening. We didn’t make a reservation and the restaurant was reasonably busy. Service was really good and the food was delicious. I’ll definitely be back, probably more than once.

Had a lovely meal for 4 last weekend. Excellent venue, good wine list, great service, lovely authentic curries, good value, clean, no complaints whatsoever. Recommended ++++

I have eaten here twice now. Both times the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was prompt and friendly.
