Kam Chuan in Wakefield

Forgot food on my order, i rung them up to ask for it and was told the driver was busy but i would it soon. Never received the missing food. The lady was rude because i struggled to hear what she was saying because she was talking to multiple people at once which is just rude and poor phone etiquette.

Food very late arriving and just dumped on the doorstep. Gone downhill since changing hands - won't use again

Not so good this time. The prawn toast was dry and looked to have been reheated. The spring rolls ad very little filling. And the Kung Po was bland and watery. I hate to leave negative feedback .

spent an hour past the estimated delivery time waiting for my take away only for the driver to not knock and dump it outside when it did arrive. JustEats food updates were very poor as well had to ring the take away to make sure my food hadn't been delivered to another house. really disappointed this time.

I wasn't bothered by it being late, I was more bothered they couldn't find us as difficult to find sometimes

It was edible but lacking in flavour. Watery sauce, undercooked rice and overcooked chicken. Like I said, it was edible but not enjoyable. Doubt I’ll try again.

Top scores for the Squid with green peppers in black bean sauce but pretty disappointed with the starters; spring roll burnt on one side, prawn crackers tasteless. Everything tasted different to usual.

Not happy at all with the service tonight. Not the usual. 95 minutes on delivery when advised 50. Tried to call 18 times. No answer. 👎

Prawns hav black poo pipes still in. Don't know what Singapore style Vermiccelle is. Smelt burned onion. All meat dry n chewy. I'm dun w all Ossett Chineese options unfortunately. All very disappointing and lacking freshness and quality.

Ordered king prawn balls in batter as my daughter is pescatarian but they sent chicken balls in batter. Also very thick & glupy curry sauce on chips. Rang Chinese they did send prawn balls out but obviously rest of fam had eaten. Other meal ok.

On ordering from here for the first time in a while although the delivery was quick the food quality was a bit disappointing the chicken fried rice and omelette were both tasteless. Won’t be ordering from here again

Me and my family have been using jam Chuan for years. Best around in my opinion! But tonight was absolutely terrible , horrible oily taste , watery sauce , prawn crackers v unusual taste . So disappointed. Has it been taken over does anyone know ????

It was cold and the chicken balls was very soggy, not crispy at all terrible

Seems like it's the end of an era. the order before this didn't seem upto the usual standard but the most recent order was again below standard. change of ownership? not sure what's happened but i don't think I'm going back for a long time. such a shame as they have gone from the best to average(ish). genuinely gutted 😢

rice is good and spring rolls but the chips with gravy isn't nice at all the gravy is so dark and solid it looks like it had been left...the soft noodles aren't great either. poor one this time.

First time we’ve ordered from here and wow!!!! We usually travel to go get our Chinese but it wasn’t open yesterday so we thought we would brave it and try somewhere new local. The service was amazing what beautiful people ! And the food was exceptional!! No more travelling for us!

Was okay. Ordered crispy chicken noodles and the noodles came separate to the sauce and veg and when mixed the noodles were still crunchy. Chips were dry but fried rice was okay. Wouldn’t order again unfortunately 😏

Not sure if the chef has changed but the food was not palatable.

Yum yum yum! We ordered for 8 of us for takeaway since our regular takeaway was closed. It came scorching hot which is always a plus. I had the vegetable curry with chips and rice (I shared my plate, didn't eat it all to myself) I will definitely be ordering from these guys again!

As usual the food was very tasty, unfortunately a 30 min delay on delivery (although the restaurant did ring back to apologise when contacted) meant it was cold and had to be warmed through.

you gave us the wrong order instead of Szechaun prawn you sent us the special which we have had before and the only thing i enjoyed was the prawn . I had 3 prawns and rice . Never order from you again

Love food from this Chinese take away. Arrived a bit late. But also a missing portion of chips from my order. Unable to call them to let them know with phone signal issues in the area.

Special chowmein was delicious. Delivered 30i minutes earlier than expected . It was our first time trying this Chinese takeaway but it definitely won't be the last. Its our new favourite. Just one small criticism, it could do with more meat

Ive been coming here since it opened around 16 years ago. Great food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Best chinese food in ossett/horbury.

I've ordered fron here a few times and been satisfied but this time the food seemed a bit cold tonight 14th July 2023

Food was excellent as usual. Delivery was a bit late though. Selected 18:20 delivery option but didn't arrive until 19:00.

Food quality tonight was quite disappointing. Fatty beef and black bean, the ribs weren't great and overall just wasn't amazing unfortunately.

Amazing food as always. One of the best takeaways I’ve been to in the UK and so happy this is our local!

Food first class delivery 1 out of 10 three taps on door then left it on floor we have a door bell as we live in a first floor flat the only reason I knew it was there I got a message to my phone through the door camera very disappointed with delivery

Three different meals, all enjoyed!

All 4 of us were unwell. The food was so dry like it was old

Kam Chuan was a bit hit and miss for us in the past but I'm so pleased we gave them another chance as every meal we've had over the last year or so has been great.

First and last time ordering from here.. worst Chinese I've ever had. All bland and overcooked.. the ribs tasted like cardboard, I've never had to add a load of salt to a Chinese before just to try and make it taste a bit better.

Excellent food. Definitely ordering again
