Kaffateria in Glasgow City

Pedir un café, no hola, un ligero asentimiento, la persona que sirve (pelo rojo) parece poco interesado. Es un domingo por la mañana, tal vez tiene resaca, pero en realidad no hagas un turno.

He estado yendo a Kaffateria desde que abrió, por lo general solo para tomar café (blanco plano) en el camino a casa desde el trabajo y también si estoy en la ciudad de compras o lo que sea. Su ubicación justo al lado de la estación de Queen Street es muy conveniente si acaba de bajar del tren y quiere reunirse con alguien antes de dirigirse a otro lugar, o si está esperando el tren en el camino a casa. El personal es muy amable y como estoy en el casi diario durante la semana, tengo que conocer a algunos de ellos bastante bien; lo suficientemente bien como para que empiecen mi bebida cuando cruce la puerta. Los blancos planos son excelentes - sentarse - en o para llevar - pero realmente no puedo comentar sobre ninguna otra bebida, ya que es todo lo que tengo. Comida - en cuanto, los pasteles y bandejas son fantásticos! Un verdadero placer. De nuevo, no puedo comentar sobre bocadillos, etc, ya que no los he tenido. La clientela es una mezcla, como es de imaginar, que refleja la hora y el día de la semana - principalmente viajeros en tren y viajeros por la mañana temprano y más tarde por la tarde; durante el día, la gente trabajando o reuniéndose; la hora del almuerzo apresura por la comida; y las noches y los fines de semana tienden a ser personas que se reúnen antes de ir de compras o salir. Puede ser una multitud bastante hipster a veces, por lo que se sentirá como en casa si le gusta usar un gorro durante todo el año y pantalones en los tobillos . . Arriba es una habitación muy agradable con mesas, mostradores altos y un montón de puntos de carga y es un lugar tranquilo - ish para trabajar durante los días de semana, fuera de la hora del almuerzo, con buena luz en los asientos de la ventana. Al dueño le gusta George Best y sabe quiénes son The Wedding Present, así que ¿qué no le gusta? La ubicación es perfecta, el personal es genial, creo que el café es muy superior al de las cadenas, y se ha convertido en mi parada de café habitual ahora. Por cierto, me encanta el logo y necesitamos algo de merch!

Tuvimos nuestro tren a Oban cancelado / retrasado y buscamos un lugar para tomar una copa, charlar, etc. tuvimos buenas bebidas y encontramos el personal muy servicial. Me alegro de llamar.

1 visita a la calle fue pura casualidad. Salí de la estación de Queen Street, Glasgow, frustrado por encontrar casi imposible armar un trato de comida en M&S allí. Incluso el personal tuvo problemas. Les dije que lo olvidaran. I Vi Kaffateria y me sorprendió cuando miré. Una variedad de sándwiches frescos en hermosas baguettes rústicas y rollos. Elegí una baguette de carne asada y corrí a coger la 14. 39 tren a Inverness. El sándwich era absolutamente increíble. Lo mejor de todo fue el pan crujiente y crujiente con el suave y sabroso. Dentro... La cantidad justa de bolsas de aire y humedad. Era como en las zonas rurales de Francia o Italia. Lo convertí en mi nueva primera opción para aperitivos en tren y no podía esperar a volver. Unas semanas después. El pan estaba blando por todas partes... Pero casi rancio suave. Decepcionado. Al cabo del tiempo compré dos bocadillos. Caminó hacia la oficina y al abrir uno de ellos lo tomó de vuelta. Pan de nuevo suave y rancio. . . Sin textura. El queso que colgaba de él se secó a lo largo de los bordes y se enroscó. Lo intercambiaron inmediatamente. Me preguntaron si quería el mismo tipo otra vez. Dije que no me importaba, siempre y cuando estuviera fresco. El que me dieron claramente había estado en la nevera toda la noche. Dije que si quieren vender cosas viejas deberían etiquetarlas como 'ayer' y reducir el precio. Hay gente que estará feliz con eso. No son baratos @ £ 5. 50 cada uno. Ni siquiera me impresionó el reemplazo. Hoy he comprado 2 más para el tren. . . Mismas baguettes viejas, suaves, pastosas y sin vida aburridas como usted conseguiría en Greggs por la mitad del precio. No volveré. La primera visita debió ser un destello en la sartén

Un miembro del personal literalmente me impidió ordenar porque estaban limpiando 😂😂 Regularmente califico lugares 5 estrellas a menos que sea una queja genuina. La última vez que vine aquí me sirvieron una bebida baja en alcohol cuando quise un poco de jugo de gas y me dieron algo con carne a pesar de que pedí algo vegetariano... Lo dejé pasar y nunca le di seguimiento a una queja. Ahora una de las personas literalmente no quería que ordenara o usara el baño porque era hacia el final del turno y querían impulsar. Los otros miembros del personal parecían un poco avergonzados de haber hecho esto, así que probablemente es solo una persona con una mala actitud. Vale la pena tener una charla con ellos si eres el gerente 👍

I often go to this cafe before getting the train. This morning I found a very long hair in my pastry. That was bad enough but the staff seemed to be completely nonplused about it. Yes, I got a mumbled “sorry” but that was it. These things happen but it was the uncaring way the situation was dealt with that means I won’t be back.

I asked for a product which they said was only available for breakfast, I pointed out that the product should be available all day and not assigned to the morning only, basically they said even a staff member swore at me shocking customer service

Stopped off for a quick drink before jumping on the train at GLQ. Service was quick and friendly, coffee and cake were good. Will definitely be back.

Amazing coffee and very nice staff. Got take away but vibe inside is lovely. Will return and perhaps try lunch or cake and sit in

Lovely strong coffee, a couple gluten free cake options. The brownie is ace. It’s really unhygienic having the pastries right at the till- everyone coughed over them and I watch several peoples sleeves touch them. DO NOT HAVE A PASTRY!

The staff here are so wholesome and kind. Coffee was 11/10 and the place is absolutely spotless.

Nice coffee. Nice vibe. Nice decor but maybe you could ask your staff with long hair to wear it up and/or not to flick their hair continuously. All I could think was someone is going to end up with a hair in their coffee or food!

I asked for a decaf tea with oat milk separate. The girl serving repeated the order back to me. A guy and girl who were making up the drinks were deep in conversation and looked to be having a great time. They gave me normal tea with cows milk. Total waste of money, as I carried it to work, and could have made me ill if I had taken a drink of it. Please make sure orders are made as requested, it shouldn't be difficult.

Popped in on my way to work and got myself a oat flat white. The coffee itself was really tasty and the staff were friendly! There was a bit of a back log of orders but the staff were quick to work through them. Very nice I'll be back to try a pastry soon.

Heel leuke, hippe plek vlakbij Queen Street treinstation. Vriendelijke bediening, lekker gebak en heerlijke koffie.

Great coffee and cake, right next to the station so ideal for a meet up or waiting for a train. Just what Queen Street station needs.

Wat een fijne plek! De koffie is heerlijk en het personeel super vriendelijk. Heel relaxte sfeer. Ik zou iedereen adviseren hier koffie te gaan drinken met wat lekkers erbij. Genoeg keuze in gebak en broodjes. Echt een aanrader

I have never reviewed a coffee shop before, but the attention to detail that has gone into place… it deserves one. The finish is beautiful, the light upstairs in the work space was perfect. I wish I could pick this place up and move it to London. Staff were friendly, lots on offer to choose from.

Beautiful place. Excellent staff and decor is lovely. We had tea and coffee which was good. Great selection of cakes as well. We didn't have any food but the choice looks good. Will most definitely be back.

Lovely new cafe from Drygate Brewery - really friendly staff, good tea and coffee, and some Drygate beers. Just opposite entrance to Queen Street station. Interesting menu, will definitely be back

I'm guessing Kaffateria is relatively new as I've never seen it on exiting Queen Street station before. As someone who likes to try places I thought I'd give it a go and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Service was excellent, the decor was cool and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I ordered a flat white and roll with sausage. Both were fantastic. The only thing that was missing was a chai latte option on the menu! I highly recommend giving Kaffateria a go the next time you're at Queen Street Station.
