The seats are spacious, the food is hot enough, the waiters are courteous, the tea is hot enough, the salted fish and chicken fried rice (using chicken breast and chicken, a little firewood), the salt and pepper pork chop (fried well enough, a little firewood), the rest are generally good 80 points or more. Worth helping again. The nice boss👍🏻has enough ingredients for the soup and taro and sago syrup as gifts. Five side dishes, one fried rice and one stir-fried river, the bill was £102.

First time here, but it’s really delicious! ! ! ! ! I read before that the taste has changed, but I think it’s already super delicious. So how delicious was it before? ? The fish head in Mingluo casserole is so fresh, the steamed rice is delicious, and the three-piece rice is also delicious! !

Wholeheartedly recommend this place - I would always come here every time I visit Glasgow. I’ve been dining here since around 2017 (less so after moving away from Glasgow) and this is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in the UK. The owners have changed for several times and my most recent visit was in August 2024, but in my opinion, their standards haven’t dropped, contrary to some of the other reviews. Their Cantonese roast dishes are a must try - they are one of the best in the country in my opinion, and you would be hard pressed to find considerably better quality Cantonese roast dishes elsewhere. Other Cantonese dishes are also delicious and are highly recommended. I would specifically recommend their salt and chilli chicken wings - although not a Cantonese dish and also not a dish I would normally order elsewhere, but there’s something special they do to the coating of the wings that would make these irresistibly crispy and juicy. Having said that, please don’t order any Szechuan dishes here if you can help it - these are not what they specialise here, and you will be disappointed. They also serve free soup and pudding (they taste much better partly because they were free), but only for dinner, subject to availabilities.

My Birthday Dinner, at “Ka Ka Lok”, was in the top 2 best Chinese meals, I have ever had in my Life, no exaggeration whatsoever. We had: “Salt and Chili Squid”, “Beef with Green Peppers and Black Bean Sauce”, “Singapore Chow Mein”, “Salt Cod and Aubergine Hot Pot”, Long Beans with Garlic, Boiled Rice, “3 Meat Roast”. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL, service was flawless and So welcoming and friendly. At the end the Manager presented me with a huge piece of Chocolate Birthday Cake (with lit Candle), accompanied by Staff and Patrons singing a hearty version of “Happy Birthday”! If that isn’t a Birthday to remember, I don’t know what is! Go and experience beautiful Food served by beautiful People!

One of our favourite restaurants and go to for when we want delicious Chinese food! Super authentic and great portions. 3 meat roast is always great. A favourite is the salted fish and aubergine dish. I dream about this dish and crave it often. Really nice staff, good atmosphere. The place recently got a wee revamp as well. Siu Mai here are massive and so delicious. The steamed sea bass is also sooo good - the sauce is really delicious and tangy. It’s hard to pick new dishes to try because we love certain ones but we will try more of the menu. A firm favourite!

Today's dish showed up with disgusting hair. There was no discount or deal with making a new one. I haven't been to this store many times. It tastes terrible. The person who said it tastes good has never had good Chinese food in his life. May I ask? ? ? ? You are really responsible for every bad Chinese food in Britain. What does this make and is it so expensive? None of it was delicious. I'm really convinced.

It is considered a relatively authentic Cantonese cuisine, and the per capita consumption is about 30 to 35 pounds. The roast duck and stir-fried beef rice noodles are more recommended. Their seafood is not particularly recommended because the price is more expensive and the portion is not large. It is worth mentioning that the service attitude is also very good. In short, if you want to choose an authentic Cantonese restaurant, I think this place is worth a visit.

Generally speaking, except Zuo milk tea and roast duck Isolation, same same high quality, delicious ingredients Went for Saturday lunch Ordered salt & chilli ribs Taste like overnight ribs, old and stinky. Didn’t finish it. salt and chilli was just on top, instead of being stir fried together. 3 roast is average. Duck is good but roast pork needs more flavors Bbq pork is too lean. Update after the year: After ordering, I had to wait 20 minutes for the food to be served. I had to ask for tap water before it was given to me. The roast duck tastes so salty that I frowned while eating it. The pre-meal soup was said to be unavailable at this time, but pork rib soup was served to the next table. There is no dessert after the meal either. I'm quite disappointed, I ordered a dish costing £30 per person, and this is the attitude. —— Reservations are required and there is no need to queue between 3-4pm. Delivery is available, but it is recommended to dine in for a better taste. The dining environment is average, the tables and chairs are old and greasy. The taste is very authentic Cantonese cuisine, with a mild texture and is suitable for people from all over the world to gather for dinner. The lobster braised noodles and roast pork are great. The spicy clams were average, the portion was too small and not spicy enough. The seafood fried rice is just average, worse than the ones in Chinatown restaurants. The pork ribs and lotus root soup before the meal is so fragrant! The radish beef brisket pot is also one of the must-orders every time I come here. There is also sugar water after the meal, usually taro and sago. At £20 per person for two people, you can enjoy 2 dishes, 1 soup and 1 dessert, which is quite comfortable. The portions are sufficient, and if you order three dishes, it will be too much for two people to finish.

This place has an extensive menu. Our party had two large lobsters for £80, fresh and well cooked. Good value. The winter melon soup, belly pork, the Three Stuffed Treasures (aubergine, to fu etc) and roast duck were all well cooked. The Belacan with mixed seafood was a big disappointment - not enough belacan, hardly any seafood or vegetables, and too much onion. Avoid the satay - it's not authentic, just big pieces of chicken on a stick and no peanut sauce. The tea, which we were told was special, was stewed and too strong despite repeated comments. This place is popular with mainland Chinese students. The interior decor and furnishings are nothing to write home about. The service was enthusiastic.

Having been in to the restaurant for a delicious dinner pre-pandemic, we were excited to find out we could get home delivery. However the experience couldn’t have been more different as the food was cold when it arrived and everything that was meant to be crispy was soggy and inedible. Really disappointed as at £13-16 for a main dish, it is not a cheap order to have to bin because it is inedible. We ordered just before 7pm and did not receive our order until 10pm. 3 hours waiting. Called 3 times to be told 3 different stories about who was delivering our order - 1st it was a woman driver and we were next, 2nd call it was a male driver and he was at an address miles past us the opposite direction from the restaurant and finally it was a woman driver who delivered eventually. It ruined our evening waiting. If we had been in the actual restaurant we would have walked out and found somewhere else for dinner. We didn’t have that option ordering online. Had no choice but to wait. The wait was definitely not worth it in the end and we ended up making cheese on toast as the food we ordered had to be binned. Waste of nearly £40.

We used to dine here before the pandemic and food was perfect every time. One of our favourite for dine in and take away. Dined here once after it reopened, just very average. This time we have a take away of roast duck. It is terrible. Big chucks of poorly chopped up pieces with more bones than meat. Meat is overcooked, skin is not crispy and it just looked like unsold leftovers from previous night. For a once well respected local restaurant, this is unacceptable and guess we will not be back for a while.

I mean, the proper, mouth watering chinese food that is rich in flavour and not the typical chow mein or salt and garlic dishes that you can find in takeaways. A friend of mine mentioned this place so my husband and i gave it a try and we were blown away! Up until now, Ka Ka Lok is the restaurant that we go to whenever we want great Chinese food! Really happy with this finding.

Made booking for three for lunch on a Saturday. Friendly greeting and shown to our table. The restaurant quickly filled up with other guests so glad that we made the booking. Nice, relaxed setting in the dining area. Small criticism is that the lighting is very dim so found it a little difficult to read the menu. The lunch menu offers very good value with two courses for £15, and the portions are more than ample. All the dishes we ordered were nicely presented, well cooked and delicious. Chicken satay was delicious as were the chicken wings, the lemon chicken a delight. Delicious food, friendly waiting staff, reasonable prices - fecommended!

There is such a variation in the quality of Chinese food in Glasgow and I thought I would give Wokstar a try with no great expectations. However, the taste, quality and cost of their food far exceeds anything I have tried in years. I had heard from others that they were good so I was delighted that it was true….. The vegetable spring rolls are enormous, packed with delicious vegetables and authentic. We had a King Prawn curry, again excellent with some Satay sauce. In essence, this is now my favourite take away in Glasgow.

Friendly informative staff. They explained how everything works and helped make your broth and sauce the way you wanted it. Perfect for a picky diner like me as I got to have my food exactly how I wanted. Can't wait to go back!
