K J Garden in Runnymede

Worst meal I have possibly ever had out. Tasteless, very over priced, awful quality meat. We walked out leaving the food on the table. My recommendation.....just don’t do it.

We visited as a large group of colleagues from work. We had ordered a set dinner which consisted of a selection of warm starters followed by a BBQ. The food was generally of good quality. The staff have limited English speaking so be prepared to work hard on communications, however, they are very well meaning and do everything they can to ensure you have a good experience. The BBQ is great fun. You cook the food yourself on the table in front of you. The final price was very reasonable and good value for money.

Un montón de comida japonesa y coreana.Yo personalmente fui allí por la comida coreana más que el japonés. En total tiene que recomendar el pollo frito aquí, fue siempre caliente y fresco, muy sabroso pero no demasiado grasiento. El bu dae jji gae es genial, sabe como una marca de ramen coreano picante con un montón de comida, puede pedir ramen y udon extras.

He ido a K J repetidamente, Jardines y utilizan también como comida para llevar. Siempre estoy impresionado con la comida y a menudo sushi orden y bibimbap. Sin embargo, el servicio es a menudo muy lento y no hay opción de no pagar cargo de 'servicio', que a menudo puede aumentar el precio de su comida. El mal servicio no es lo suficiente como para no visitar por la comida sabrosa.

Went there for a casual Friday night dinner, good attentive service and the food is excellent and not expensive.

Era mi primera experiencia en un koreano. El arroz con pollo y curry es muy similar al japones y estaba excepcional. El sushi es muy fresco y abundante. Un poco lentos y buen precio

They served raw chicken! Unfortunately I ate a skewer of it, so have to keep fingers crossed. The manager said she didn't know it was dangerous. These people shouldn't be running a restaurant.

Tiene un montón de restaurantes de egham, he probado unos cuantos hasta ahora, esta vez fuimos a KJ jardín. La camarera era muy agradable, aunque su inglés a la izquierda un poco que desear, pero sin embargo nos las arreglamos para colocar una orden. La comida era buena, el servicio era excelente, con un montón de estudiantes asiáticos en asistencia, probablemente debido a la cercanía al Colegio Internacional de cerca. Yo se de comer aquí.Contrariamente a lo que un crítico ha dicho antes, 10% de cargo por servicio no estaba incluido, al menos no en nuestra cuenta, lo he comprobado dos veces, así que dejé una propina por encima de la cantidad en la factura, que era razonable.

We went there on Tuesday evening, having wanted to try it out for ages. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The food was good although my Beef Ribs Korean Style had rather a lot of grizzle and the service was very attentive. The majority of diners were of Asian origin which I find is always a good sign. We will definitely go back.

Egham ahora tiene una amplia selección de restaurantes asiáticos debido a la gran población asiática de estudiantes. Tener el almuerzo con un amigo y ella me apetecía sashimi. Había visto este restaurante, pero nunca he probado, pero decidimos que valía la pena probar.

Probably should be a 4-star review but just can't understand why this place ranks so low, so :)We came here because it was sort-of on the way between the A and B in our journey and opened at 5pm, and I'm glad we did!Three of use went, who'd all lived in Korea for 2-4 years and we were pretty happy with the food! The chap who served us was very friendly as well. We had the kimchijeon, veg mandu, bibimbap and kimchi jjigae...all good! One wrong thing did come instead of my friend's bulgogi he ordered but the replacement was good anyway!Would visit again (probably won't because I live nowhere near, but highly recommend it!)

Recently discovered this little gem of a place. Went in with low expectations and left very pleased. Our waitress May was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to make our meal a special one. Restaurant looked very clean. Sampled several dishes and all were delicious. Will have the freshly prepared stuffed chicken dumpling's again the next time we go there. Hite beer was refreshing. Food arrived quickly. The spelling errors on the menu are best overlooked and not too big of a deal. Can recommend KJ Garden if your hungry and looking for a good tasty oriental meal.

I ate here with my partner earlier this week and we were both disappointed. We both regularly eat at Korean restaurants, occasionally with Korean friends.The menu is very limited when compared to other Korean restaurants. Many of the descriptions run off the page and are invisible. "Beef marinated in a sp"... (made up example but you get the point).We tried to ask a couple of questions on dishes that we weren't familiar with but were unable to get a meaningful explanation from our waitress.Our food did not arrive together (no big deal - this is fairly standard in a Korean restaurant). However, when the first dish arrived it was flung down on the table. The waitress did mutter something and then dashed away. End result - we had no idea whose main had just arrived!The quality of the food was passable but I couldn't say any better about it.Service is somewhat lacking if you would like another drink or the bill.Unfortunately, will not be returning.

We had a variety of meals between us, noodles, bento box and a dumpling starter. All very nice, but place very quiet for a Friday night, and service efficient rather than friendly. Prices reasonable so maybe still settling down.

Firstly - the food was pretty good - we played relatively safe with teriyaki chicken and king prawns. Tasty and well prepared - so far so good!When we arrived we did worry that in a student town populated almost entirely of Asians that KJ Gardens, an Asian eatery, was empty. Eventually another couple took another table - so at least we weren't alone. When the server arrived with two dishes - unfortunately one was for our table, the second was for the other table. My son had to wait another 7 minutes for his!I asked for the wine list - which appeared to stun the server. Eventually she came back and told me that the White wine was in the fridge and they would rather not serve it cold!!! This resulted in a mirthful few minutes where she brought out a warm bottle instead. In the end we ordered beer!Not sure they could manage if they were full. Perhaps their service levels ensure that challenge won't ever materialise. Good food and entertainment provided!

Positives: Got the food eventually but it was mediocre for the price. Negatives: ServiceCommunicationFood qualityPriceCustomer relations ColdFirst and last time we would order from here. 8.30pm ordered in restaurant (nothing fancy a bento box and some sushi rolls) we ate at 10:45pm. After having to phone them several times and been told delivery guy is on his way!. Expensive for the meal and was a midnight snack. 1/10

Four of us ate here soon after Christmas. Service was prompt and friendly. The menu is long and as we don't know Korean cuisine, we followed the waitresses advice. Delicious seafood pancakes followed by bbq beef and chicken. Big tasty portions of everything. First class in all respects except decor, which is a bit too functional (e.g. Posters on the walls telling us which dishes contain potential dangers for allergies). But we will certainly be back.

Just been for lunch here today for the first time with my wife and unfortunately it will be the last... When seated I had to ask for the front door to be closed to avoid a chilly draft. Then we were ignored and the waitress took the order from the party next to us even though they arrived after us. Eventually we got served and I ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses, unfortunately my wife's main course arrived first, we sent it back and it returned again.. Eventually we got our starters and pretty good too - prawn dumplings and soft shelled crab - yum! Alas then my main course arrived (not bad squid and pork belly - good helping) but despite repeated requests my wife's chicken katsu curry (yes the one that had been delivered twice earlier) couldn't be remade as the "machine" had broken.... By this time my wife was pretty upset and the waitresses didn't seem to know what they were doing. I settled the bill. They initially claimed the card machine was broken - I made a fuss and miraculously it was brought to the table and it worked first time. We left leaving no tip and my wife left feeling hungry. Shame!

We ordered a prawn tempura bento and a beef bento.Five large prawn tempura, a dozen edamame, a mini salad and noodles. Maybe not a full meal for a man but a perfect amount for me and SO tasty.My best takeaway EVER!!!

A new restaurant in Egham still finding its feet, KJ garden really has its food right! The sushi is great, freshly made, worth the visit alone. The portions aren't great for general plates of food but i always go for a Bento box, you get plenty of food with plenty of variety.Its quite expensive but you tend to find that with most Korean places, this restaurant has such a variety that you wont find it difficult ordering something you want. Service is average, nothing special but nothing to complain about.I always order the Tofu Bento box, YUM!

Food was amazing! Super tasty. Service was reasonable. Nice interior. But portions could be bigger, for the price.

I had never been to a Korean restaurant, so when i walked in the KJ garden i did not really know what to expect. I selected the dish mostly because it had a funny name (Bibimbap), but the food was no joke, a good blend of vegetables, pork with an egg on top. The drink was an experience of its own, from the name (Bongbong) to the look, an opalescent liquid with alien-looking floating globes (grape). But again, it tasted good which in the end is what matters. The girls serving food provided excellent and badly needed explanations. Thank you KJ Garden, you provided an unexpectedly good introducion to the unknown world of korean food.

This little restaurant is a hidden gem.A fantastic array of Korean BBq food and sushi to suit all tastes.
