Yo, this place is a hidden gem! They got the best grilled and smoked food I've had in a while. We ordered the platter for two, and it was more than enough food. The quality of the food was on point. But I gotta take one star off because they recently stopped giving free tap water. Now you gotta pay for bottled water.

Quality place for many reasons Price - considering its a smokehouse and premium cuts of meat, the prices are very reasonable. Even if you go all out (more food than you can eat) it's £25 to £30 per head. Or £10-15 if you keep it simple. The fact you can get premium cut Burgers and chips for around £12 you can't go wrong. Got fed up of seeing other smoke places charge upto £20 - £25 just for burger and chips. I would recommend going all out on your first visit, platter, Burgers the whole works - that way you know what you fancy for next visits. All of it taste great as leftover for a nice sandwich filling. Quality/Taste - it literally is exactly what it says on the tin. They get the meats directly from the butchers (next door) so you know you ain't getting frozen or cheap meats. Everything always cooked to perfection and the table bbq sauce is 10/10, elevates all the food. Food comes seasoned but not saucy which is great, allows you to sauce it yourself how you like it Customer Service - Always serving you with a smile on their face and food is served pretty quick. The place is cool and clean, usually when there's sauces on the table in other places it's always sticky or gunky all over the lid but these guys keep it fresh. That attention to detail doesn't go unnoticed ;) Location - plenty of free parking in the estate just behind them. Not many halal places around waltham cross/cheshunt so this place certainly seals the deal as the best halal spot in the area. Keep up the good work and attention to details guys. 10/10

Good food and good value for money

The food isn't the worst, but it makes a big difference whether you eat there or order delivery. I have been there many times... I ate and was satisfied... The food was delicious. Only the employees are not very nice, they give the impression that they work there as punishment. That's why I decided not to watch it No nice gentlemen, I will order delivery... And that was the mistake of a lifetime. If you eat tasty food there, but you have to tolerate rude employees... When you order delivery, it won't change anything because the food I received was tasteless and dry As if it had been reheated a second time. So I say goodbye to this place and this is my last order No matter how hungry I was To sum up, whether you will receive professional service depends on whether the employee is in a good mood Also i forget.... The most terri le sousage... Should be from beef its taste 100% more bad like pork Its recooked food 100% No fresh... Been here to many times and it gets better every time don’t know where to start. Firstly the concept is amazing you will not see this in many places they have the kitchen outside where they prep all the food and serve it to inside which has a amazing graffiti that you don’t see in many places and the services 10/10 made me feel like I’m home and been here for years everyone was polite and helpful so thank you for the amazing service boys !!! I don’t need to say much about the food you can see from the pictures how amazing and juicy the burger was so I take my hat out to you boys keep up the work until next time

15 out of 10. Exceptional food and service. The homemade garlic sauce for the wings is one of the best I've ever tasted. Quality of the meat was incredible and the prices were so reasonable I actually thought there was a mistake on the bill. Thanks so much, will be returning asap! Stumbled across this fantastic place whilst looking for lunch - basically a food truck with indoor seating available. We had burnt ends and beef short ribs, both of which were really well cooked. The cajun spicing on the fries was excellent, and the pickles & 'slaw really rounded off the meal. Well worth a visit.

Thank you Update 1/8/2024: Just to point out i've eaten regularly here for over a year and the quality has never faltered, this is a real gem of Waltham Cross. Tried almost everything on the menu, standout favourites are the loaded burger and the burnt ends. Next door they have a butchers and their meat is very high quality.

5 person group. Ordered the large player, small platter and beef short ribs platter. Have to try the smoked meats at a smokehouse. Selection of meat was good. Brisket was a bit bland. Beef ribs slightly dry not enough juicy. Sausage also slightly dry but flavourful. The chips had a spicy coating with was unnecessary and they should have been plain and the coleslaw was a let down as it was too dry with hardly any mayonnaise. All in all it was nice, but had better for beef ribs but for this selection this place is currently the best around. Priced reasonably 5 guys bill with drinks was £210. Would I go back? Probably but mainly to try the marrow as we forgot the order that.

An informal setting not in the best location, however one of the best pieces of meat I have eaten for a while. Tender, with a close to perfect smokey bbq flavor. Same for the potatoes served with the meal. Simple looks but what a great taste! If I ever visit the area again will for sure pay them another visit

Amazing cuts of meat amazingly smoked

We ordered the platter for 2 and a burger a few days ago for delivery. I am taking into account that we got the food delivered rather than ate fresh in the restaurant, and how this may affect the quality of the food. To begin, the classic cheese burger was very nice. Well cooked, high quality meat and very well put together. Even the coleslaw was a lovely accompaniment to it. Now, the platter. The wings had great taste, but the skin was rubbery. The brisket although tasted okay, was very dry and was not tender at all. The smoked sausages were delicious and had a great snap, as sausages should. The beef short rib was horrible. So dry and stringy and so parts were so dry and overcooked, they were inedible. The lamb ribs were the worst of the bunch. No preparation was done prior to cooking. More fat than actual meat, and there was a horrible layer of sinew on the meat, which is practically impossible to chew through. All the meat tasted like lighting fluid and little actual seasoning and flavour. The worst thing if all, was that in the platter, which costs 50 pounds, comes with a tiny little portion of BBQ sauce, which actually was very delicious, just a shame that it was quite literally 2 table spoons worth. And the pickles, which were great... we revived 4 pickle slices... 4!!! For something thay costs £50, how can you skimp on sauce and other accompaniments? Overall, the only thing I recommended eating from here is the burger, which I would not run to eat anytime soon

We arrived on a weekday, a group of 7. Had to wait a little while to get a table inside but the staff did it quick and we're helpful. It was our first time. Some got Ribeye steak, others got the mix for 2 people, some got the burnt ends and also the Grilled chicken. Overall was nice but some dishes were better than the others. I still need to try other items on the menu to decide if I would go back or not. Overall was nice.

I went to this place on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. This place was recommended to me as the food is amazing and they weren’t wrong. The burger I had was easily the best burger that I have ever had! The staff are really good at changing your order to what you can eat if you have an allergy. The chips were also amazing. Overall, the food was outstanding and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the area. 5/5!

In light of recent global events around Palestine, I believe it's crucial for businesses to embrace inclusivity. I encourage this smokehouse to consider offering alternative carbonated beverage options beyond Coca-Cola. During my visit, staff responses regarding this matter left me unsatisfied. Recent update: the cheek of this establishment to charge £2 to bring in your own drink that doesn't support a genocide is the tipping point. I will not be returning. They are literally fining you to correct their mistake. Lets all do our bit. ************ Some great meats on the family platter. Food comes out relatively quick. All the meats are cooked fresh. All the sides are cooked from frozen. Overall you go for the meats and they didn't disappoint. I didn't get to try the burgers but they did look good on other tables. Small seating area so I recommend to book first. Not really a first date spot, but place is quite basic. But if you enjoy meats go for it. Parking was in the side roads. If you live local, you can buy your meats of their butchers and they will cook it for you for a decent price. The kitchen is outside on the street and the dining is indoors. We paid £33pp splitting platter, lots of sides, drinks and 1 other main.

The service amazing respectful workers , the food is hit and miss 1st time I tried the food as I was told was the best bbq smoke place in the EN area , to be fair in waltham cross yes but it is not the best , greasy and fatty brisket the coleslaw no flavour and overly priced the flavours are bland and the bone marrow there is just oil it's over rated and very over priced

I dined there a week ago and I must admit I am still salivating from the soft tender meat that I consumed. The £40 platter was enough for two people to share, we did order an additional pulled beef burger which was also great. Highly recommend! The only caveat is that whilst eating outdoors the onlooking drivers did give you a good stare, albeit this is no fault of the establishment.

It’s not often that I hope to get hungry again so I can buy more food but honestly this is the best burger I ever had. The meet is so tender it melts in your mouth. I never had such beef. We have to give credit where credit is due, well done guys!

Pure fire Been here 2 days on the trot Had the garlic smoked wings and the mango habenero smoked wings and a smoked pulled lamb burger and smoked beef rib burger all was 10/10 defo detour to pass by if I’m any where local again

Food was absolutely delicious, meat was soft and full of flavour! Bun was nice and sweet went perfectly with the saltiness of the beef rib burger. BBQ is amazing. Wicked little space, for sure trying the rest of the menus gradually.

Unfortunately overpriced ,meet was quite dry,no flavour,just oversmoked and lots of sauce on top and not grilled with sauce as it supposed to be.

If you want a proper Barbecue get your backside down here. The food was nothing short of superb. It’s cooked to perfection with the most softest meat melting in your mouth. On top customer service and pricing is on point. 👌🏽

Fri 28/06/24 -The food was great especially the short rib- its melts and is very tender. (Five stars) -Service was good, I accidentally spilled a drink and employees cleaned it up with no fuss. - I git serviced cold wing with the 2 people platter and when i told the staff, they came back with 6 piping hot wings to rectify the cold ones. 👍🏾 -On the other hand i ordered the new york cheese cake to go but it was mouldy (mould not in visible in photo). - the interior of the restaurant could be bigger but not bad and the toilet was very clean.

Fantastic treat for Fathers day. Children and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Shared the meat platter for 2 with the Mrs and couldnt believe how soft and tender the beef and lamb was - great portion size too and ended up taking left overs home.

I’ve been going to this place since it opened and it’s fantastic. I love the smoked brisket burger most but they’re all great, and the chips are lovely. I have also had the share platter and that was really good too. I will say it’s changed a bit now though, the portion sizes aren’t the same, you used to get chips in their own box when you’d buy the meal but now they’re put in the same sized box with the burger etc so you don’t get as much. You used to also get the option of having the coleslaw, jalapeños and pickles in separate containers instead of on the burgers but now it’s either you have them on the burger or you just don’t get them as they don’t allow the separate option anymore, but you’re still paying the same.

The best thing I had on a cycling trip

I keep driving past this place and thought I’d give it a go as it smells awesome. To be honest I’m a little disappointed. I found the staff stuck up and very little humour and not very helpful. I gained the impression they just Wana take your money. Hospitality is key in any business whether you’re serving food from a mobile trailer or in an 3 star Michellin restaurant. I ordered the brisket burger and BBQ wings. Total spend £15 quid. I cannot fault the taste it was delicious however the brisket portion was an absolute Joke! For a £10 pound brisket burger you’d expect to see a wad of meat in your bun! I’ve attached a photo you be the judge. It’s annoying as theres much better places in town especially in Camden where you get more for your money! Unless you’re really curious and absolutely hungry then don’t waste your money!

This place is a hidden gem! Food was ridiculously good, must say I did not expect it but was pleasantly surprised, much better than smokeshed in Hoddesdon. The burnt ends were unreal and the brisket was some of softest and tender I’ve had in the UK. Keep up the good work guys.

Burger was okay, too much coleslaw. I had dead flies in my chips, that was a disappointment. The brisket was extremely fatty but other than that, the lean part was delicious. I love that it’s halal and portion is decent though. I do recommend people to go and try it.

Dry aged cheeseburger is the best ever! I do quite like the other things i have tried so far! You should try Chilly cheesy bites & sauted potato and pastrami too! We are quite regular there and everytime i go there always same& always delicious! Staff is friendly too!

Omg what an amazing food place, everything in this place tastes amazing and there wasn't enough time to take any pictures since we were so hungry. The chef Sabri was an amazing chef, he was cooking our platters and burgers in an amazing and tasty ways and just how we liked it. If you ever come to this place make sure you ask for Chef Sabri. Everyone else was very welcoming, especially Mohamed was very patient with us when he was taking our orders

One of the places to eat meat. Everything really tasted. The food was very quick. Plenty of food for us we were full and had some food to take home. £110 for 4 people was a good price for the quality and the service. It was the first time we visited and we will visit again soon.

We absolutely loved our food here. The meat was cooked to perfection, everything was tender and moist. It's very laid back, and the demographic is mixed, everyone is made to feel welcome. It's not in the nicest area, sitting just at the edge of the Holdbrook Estate, but you can overlook that when the meat is this good. Definitely somewhere we'll return to. You'll need to be patient when looking for a place to park.

And extremely big-K tasting it is… when it isn’t busy you can expect your food to have a better temperature but when it was busy my meats were served tepid (around room temp) Like I said.. it was decent on all visits but that unsureness of being truly halal is a big no no for me. There is no hate to the restaurant but I simply can not let my Muslims brethren be deceived.

The audacity to send cremated wings shows how little they care about their customers… we’ve been regular customers from the day they opened but this place has gone downhill so much, used to be one of our favourite takeaways and we would order once a week but now every time I try to give it another chance they’re worse than the last time so we will not be ordering again. The food is either undercooked or overcooked. Or simply burnt as you can see from the photos. Used to be have a fresh taste to it and now it’s definitely giving precooked and then reheated hence why it’s so dry. Not worth the price or the food poisoning.

I’ve been coming to this place all the way from east London travelling around 45mins each way from its beginning times….I was sitting in this shop while No one was in there on many occasions when they opened. You may be busy now but respect and treat your customers fairly and professionally especially those that have been there from the start…in other words remember your humble beginnings! Today I was spoken to rudely in front of everyone! It’s not nice…especially knowing I’ve been a customer from your opening day!

Strange one this. I had burnt ends and slaw. The first few bites of the burnt ends were phenomenal and then after a few mouthfuls the meat left a slightly weird stale taste lingering in the mouth.

Very nice food. Has nice flavour, doesn't just taste like meat. I've tried a few American style BBQS, this place is best so far. There were 7 of us, everyone enjoyed the food. We had the platters. Portions were just right. Not overpriced like other places I've been too. The service was excellent. The Owner is very welcoming and friendly. The only thing I would say is, I hope they can increase the seating capacity. Highly recommend it. Will definitely be back soon. Must try the burgers on next visit. Keep up the good work!

Delicious and succulent smoked meats and chicken. One of the best bbq restaurants I have ever been to. Hamburgers are also delicious with good quality bread and juicy meat. Highly recommend!

Good food, a bit expensive, personally expecting bigger portion sizes. Brisket was quite dry and flavourless.

The food is great, the meat just falls off the bone, the lamb chops were extremely soft. Everything was flavoursome. Service is quick and kind. Presentation of food is wonderful. Mocktail and smoothie were lovely. As unusual and different setting. The platter for two could have served 3 of us. Really impressed. Will try burgers next time.
