Excellent food at a reasonable price, absolutely recommend

Used to be amazing we had 1 bad experience last time. Decided to give them another try as everyone deserves a second chance. They were very rude and hung up. They should accept they delivered poor service last time and accept it. Never mind their loss

Absolutley lovely authentic food. Not my usual chinese but very impressed with portion sizes and flavour..... Was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed

I thought I've found an eatable Chinese takeaway. It was good at first and now it's literally going down hill. One of the counter staff is rude and the owner unable to take order properly, keep making mistakes. The food are getting worse tasteless and burnt. Not one Chinese takeaway is able to maintain their food standards. Either they keep changing chefs or they just can't cook. A proper chef style of cooking can never change especially they cook daily but chefs over here are not well trained.

We have ordered from here a for a few years now. Unfortunately they have defiantly gone down hill. Food seems to be off when we get it. Chicken is slimy, and the duck has been green on a few occasions. It’s such s shame we really used to love it but it’s no we’re near how it used to be and we always seem to have an upset tummy the next day. We will no longer be ordering from here due to concerns for the food and hygiene standard.

The best Chinese in the area! If you love king prawns then they have the biggest and the best. Very reasonable priced and the food is always on point.

Best Chinese in town. Food is full of flavour and not super greasy like other places. Spicy dishes are actually spicy and can request modification of any dish for dietary preferences. Reasonably priced and always quick delivery too.

Always polite and friendly service both when ordering and the delivery drivers. Food is always nice and prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Very impressed with our food tonight, ordered around 5pm and delivered right on time. More food than we could eat so definitely recommend.

The delivery drivers use the bus stop outside as their own private car park and when asked nicely about it I got a bad attitude reply still always parked their they just dont care about customer comments

Tough as old boots Chicken and especially the Beef. Decent size portions but tasteless , the chicken in yellow bean sauce is awful. Burnt , hard , crispy chicken and chicken with chilli and salt starters. Very sharp , rude old lady on the phone/ front counter that always seems to be ill with the sniffles and a bad cough while not wearing a mask is enough reasons to swerve this place. Famous Chef or Lucky Bamboo far superior in all aspects. Avoid at all costs !!

If you haven't tried this yet then you must.....nothing short of excellent. Not oily, not greasy.....perfectly cooked vegetables, not hard, not soft and squishy, just right. Can make dishes spicier with chopped red chilli, just ask. Food is as good on Tuesday night as it is Saturday night.

Stopped off at Just Do Eat for chips , these are the worst chips I have ever been served. Hard and dried up like had been sitting there the past few days. None of us even touched one of the them straight in the bin. Disgusting that chips are served upon this state

Great food and service .... value for money

Favourite takeaway. Love their Chinese food and love their fish and chips. Their staff are wonderful and friendly especially Karen and Mandy.

Rapidly becoming one of our favourite take-aways. Not many in the vicinity combine Chinese with fish 'n chips. This does very successfully. Their lunchtime Chinese "specials" offer excellent choice which are very good value. Normal Chinese meals are good value with generous portion sizes. The comprehensive "chippy" menu is also tasty and well-cooked

Although food was hot whatever oil they cook it in I suspect was the reason both me and my husband was ill after eating here

Not as good as the previous shop for the chip shop side, chips undercooked and batter for sausages not the same

Fish the die for. So carefully cooked and well presented. The batter and fish melt in your mouth.

Used to be my go-to for a great chicken curry and chips (for 20 years or so.) Sadly, Hong Kong House is no more and under new ownership. The new place is ok, but nothing special. There are better Chinese takeaways in the area.

Wouldn’t recommend. I used to always go here to get my food. Been here tonight and the chips were raw potato inside. Hard potato it was disgusting. Owner said there’s nothing wrong and it’s just the way the potato is never experienced something like that before..such a shame was amazing before it was taken over!

Been getting take outs here for years never been disapointed

The food here is reasonably priced, good quality and excellent portion sizes. I have had the fish and chips and assorted sausage s plus a numbers of dishes from the Chinese menu and I have not been disappointed. The staff are friendly and I can thoroughly recommend Hong Kong House.
