Jungle Street Kitchen in Lichfield

This is one of our favourite casual dinning places. The Menu is a great variety of excellent dishes and generous portions. It’s basic decor is fun and the bubble tea is great fun for kids and the bring your alcohol is even better for adults. We went on valentines night it was busy but the service was great from friendly staff. We had the fish sharing plater and it was superb. The icing on the cake they had an amazing live singer who made our evening, in fact we lingered long after our meal to listen to the end of her set. It’s not fine dining but brilliant food in a casual setting we love it.

The upstairs claims to be private party venue. Get this, music system doesn't work. Our special 50th ruined. Staff haven't got a clue, just jostle along as normal. No care or attention to customers special occasion. Definitely would not recommend. Music the manager with appalling attitude, place has great potential with right management.

Booked here for a light lunch with friends visiting. Great menu choices and soft drinks. The staff were really friendly and the food presentation was brilliant. We will be back to try new things.

We booked a large table and turned up with more people but it wasn’t a problem. Food was absolutely amazing, delicious and served piping hot. We all had the two courses for £20, everyone of us were very impressed. You can take your own drinks in, soft or alcoholic and glasses are supplied. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Food is average, overpriced for what it is. The staff I fount rude told us we were not allowed to drink our Fanta and cokes because they weren’t bought from there! Ridiculous! How he approached us was very rude and unnecessary.

Super friendly and helpful staff, extensive menu for drinks and food. We had the Zulu chops and Texas smash burger. food came out v quick, piping hot and so tender and tasty. Would highly reccomend a visit, great little gem in Lichfield.

Probably the best costumer service I've experienced. We had a table of 11. We were seated immediately. The were zero complications or mistakes with the orders. Food came out very quick after ordering. Was piping hot, flavoursome and very generous portions. (What more could you want?) Staff were so lovely! Amazing atmosphere. The only con would be the metal chairs. Maybe okay for some but I have a disability so, that's the only thing I would change! 10/10 definitely going back

Food is normally fantastic but this time it was cold, late. Arriving ( the due time was changed 3 times) and the soft drink was full of ice and hardly any liquid. Really disappointing as jungle street is normally great … but not this time. An expensive takeaway that wasn’t worth it

Cute and quirky place. Staff were lovely and accommodated to my request for a birthday treat. Couldn't ask for more. You can take your own alcohol and they will provide you with glasses straight away, which was a great, because they ask when you sit down if you need them. Food was nice too!

Our first time visiting here, first impressions were great, love the decor, waitress's were lovely. The one guy didn't have good customer service skills. I had the Coco prawns , with nachos to start. My friend was still eating her starter when the mains came out, so I would skip starters as your main will be cold by the time you eat it. The dish was ok, not amazing, other dishes I saw coming out looked better. My only reason for 4* is I think you should be told about the 5% service charge when you are seated and then you can decide if you want to order separate items or more drinks knowing you've got 5% added each time. It does say discretion but that's not true as when I questioned it I was told it's compulsory. I also asked one waitress' if she receives the service charge tips at the end and she didn't know which mean she doesn't. So what's it for 🤷🏼‍♀️? It's a shame so for that reason I wouldn't return.

So went here for first time yesterday What lovely staff very friendly and polite The food was beautiful Even gave us a free pudding because we forgot to ask for the 10% off , our fault !!! But they bent over backwards to make our first time here fantastic Lovely and warm in there too Definitely going back Give it a try you won’t regret it .

I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations due to the good reviews I have been reading which have clearly been written by the manager. I walked in and was welcomed by loud music and what could only seem a children’s jungle gym setting. Thankfully the staff were all nice and approachable however I found it annoying how there was a service charge despite having to order from the counter. Furthermore, I caught in the corner of my eye a tip box which, to my knowledge, is illegal. I only came in for a short period to order some nachos and a j20, the price of a j20 was extortionate and the nachos tasted microwaved. Overall my experience was not great, and I shalln’t be returning

Popped in for lunch and loved it. I have food allergies but there were still so many choices on the menu. They have a full allergy matrix to check each dish. Amazing! The food was hot, delicious and filling. The service was fantastic. Would definitely visit again.

I arranged a suprise 40th birthday meal/party for my husband. We hired the newly decorated party room upstairs which is beautifully done to a high standard, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it to go around the 60 guests. Service was fantastic and the Manager was extremely helpful and communicated with me for a few month to ensure it went smoothly. I couldnt recommend it high enough. Thank you to the manager and team who looked after us last night, you were brilliant 🌟

I really like this place and I'll definitely return. The cozy vibe and delicious bubble tea are fantastic. It's probably the only spot for bubble tea in Lichfield city center. They also have great vegan and vegetarian choices.

Fantastic family-friendly dining destination offering a one of a kind blend of cuisines. They provide an array of beverages and sweets, with the Boba drinks being a standout for me. The lamb curry and zesty chicken entree are truly remarkable. I plan to make my 6th visit soon!

Ordered delivery tonight half the food was missing and then the other half of the order was wrong, our daughter is allergic to peppers so requested no peppers and even called to re literate this and and still sent with peppers my husband called to complain and told that this was not their fault but Deliveroo when my husband went on to say half the delivery was missing and that we requested you leave out items our daughter is allergic to and even called you to verify this, after been extremely rude with no care at all they put the phone down on him. Avoid at all costs!!! Especially if you have allergies we won’t be ordering again and as business owners ourselves will be recommending others steer clear too. When asking the staff for recommendations not one of them could as they stated they didn’t eat there!! Very disappointed with the food for how much it cost very over prices for what it is! The meat wasn’t the best!! I know the guy stated the main comes right after the starter I didn’t release they would come out why still eating the starter we felt very rushed!! We felt it was expensive and not very enjoyable food or experience sorry to say!!

Wouldn’t go back, no table service. Starter came out a minute after it was ordered, main tasted like it had been defrosted and microwaved. The chicken from the starter was the same chicken used in a curry dish for the main.

Great music and atmosphere, friendly and on-it team of staff who made sure we knew what we were doing, and always had smiles on their faces. The food was incredible! Everything was fresh, you could taste the time/attention put into this food, from the presentation, to the taste of the marinade seeping through the lamb, the chicken being soft and juicy to the little flowers to add a cute, very sweet touch to each dish. An absolute favourite, will be returning and recommending highly!

The food was absolutely to die for and a lot cheaper than expected it to be. The place is decorated beautifully. Only downfalls that I have it there was no alcohol available. It does say to bring your own but I did think you'd be able to order it as well

Came in for a drink, felt uncomfortable as we was stared at while choosing and the girl at the till also put 5% service charge on our drinks without asking or even telling us. So we paid £5.20 for one drink never again!

JungleStreet Kitchen is now my favorite in Lichfield. The food was amazing (we gave it a perfect score). The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Joe, who was working on Saturday, made sure we had a great time.

As a family of six, we recently visited a restaurant with high expectations. However, our experience was disappointing as we found the food to be quite bland and lacking in taste. Despite ordering a variety of dishes, we were disappointed to find that they did not live up to our expectations. Furthermore, we found the prices to be quite high for the quality of food being served. Even the masala fries that we ordered were a let down, as they were simply regular fries with some spicy salt sprinkled on top. Overall, we were not impressed with our dining experience and would not recommend this restaurant. It was not a good value for money and we would not consider returning.

I like this place but honestly you're trying to do too much and falling short. Ate here a few times now last time being Friday. You're menu is far too varied for how quickly you push dishes out and I'd reccomend you narrow it down. Firstly the 'vietnamese bao' buns left a lot to be desired. Whilst the bao buns were nice and soft (aka warmed up well) and the pickle was nice it was a crime to call them vietnamese. The chicken tasted more like chicken tikka and was so dry, nothing like you get in Vietnam and there were no sauces to compliment it (siracha, soy bean or others). The jerk chicken was also very dry, not much of a fruity taste, not enough thyme and no hint of scotch bonnet. Also if you're going to serve jerk chicken you need some sides to go with it (rice and peas or dumplings) massala fries didn't quite cut it. Korean noodles however were very nice. I just think you're a bit in limbo between wanting to be tapas style place but also trying to cater to too many styles.

Hadn't read any reviews, walked in off the street. Decided to go in because of the wide range of food, which seemed very reasonably priced. My wife had the Gorilla Burger and I had the Quesadilla. The burger was big, that big my wife had to share it 😁 and it was delicious. I had the Quesadilla, which filled the plate and was delicious too. Little Dog was also allowed in. Prompt, friendly service and very good value. Will definitely be returning

We had a great dinner at Jungle Street Kitchen today and it was totally worth it. The menu is special, service was awesome, and the atmosphere was cool. The food was amazing - I suggest trying the Gorilla Burger, Brazilian Steak, and Mango Cheesecake. Big thanks to the staff for a job well done!

This restaurant was visited by my partner and I a couple of days ago on Saturday following a festival we attended in Lichfield. The vibe here is so nice, and I love how unique the decorations are, the pops of colours, the animal print decorations and the sculptures really add to the theming and I'd say this place is extremely underrated. It's so vibrant yet cozy -- The staff in here are absolutely lovely, it was my second time visiting as the first time was with my mother and each time they were really sweet and they accommodate well to different diets too (My mum who I visited with the first time is a vegetarian, I am a vegan and my partner who I visited with this time round eats meat so I have seen the range they can cater too) aside from a lovely atmosphere and brilliant staff this restaurant also has delicious food, I like the fact that the menu offers food from a good variety of different cuisines as it means that there is something for everyone. I'd recommend the Okra Greens as the crunchy texture of the Okra and the soft bread with the tangy sauce pair really well and my partner enjoyed his noodles too (I don't remember the exact dish but they were chicken noodles) I'd also reccomended the vegan platter which is what I ate on my first visit with my mother as you get a really large amount for what you pay, I'd say it could easily feed 3-4 people. Not only is everything tasty but also the service is really fast so it's an ideal spot to go if you're hungry or with an impatient eater - thank you again for the staff for making our visit even more lovely ^-^ (Photos attached are from the first visit as the recent one my partner and I just got straight into the food lol)

Poor quality food, with little taste. Food came out (5 dishes) in 10 minutes which could either mean a really quick service but more likely pre-made. The lava lava starter had no jalapeños or cheese, just mashed potatoes. All in all very expensive for the quality and flavour

The restaurant itself is a nice. Good layout, spacious. It was very promising. The service was swift, but I suspect that's because the food is pre-prepared for speed, which was evident from the quality. The "Monkey bites" were dry and overcooked pieces of chicken on a few pieces of sad salad leaves. The gyros were soggy pittas filled with chips and a few pieces of lamb that was more gristle than meat. There was barely any greenery in/with it nor dressings. The "offer" of 2 courses for £20 in large parties was, I found out, only valid if everyone in the party opted in, so if one person has only one course, everyone pays full price for 2 courses, which is ridiculous. Really disappointed.

JSK is everything you could possibly want in a restaurant: it’s fun, friendly, has super fast service and the food is amazing!! Visited most recently this weekend for my birthday and as always had a lovely time. The food and drinks menus are extensive and there are always new options being added to the menu for us to try! I now live in Nottingham but have to come back to get my JSK fix every few months or so lol. Thank you to all the wonderful team (in particular Abid and Mustafa who have provided fantastic service right through since opening 3 years ago) who make every visit as special as the last!!

Got the ready text from Just Eat 7 minutes before the advertised collection time. It was plenty warm enough when I began eating, although we do live 2 minute drive away. Food was great, although the hash brown in the burger was a bit redundant with the fries as well.

Very poor all round especially an unpleasant service from Mustafa he should find another occupation that isn’t customer faced. Overall garbage experience, save your money and go elsewhere

Me and my kids really like this place. It's got a nice atmosphere, chilled and casual. Food is good, but feel like it could be better. Need to work on the execution of dishes. Service has been very good every time I have visited. Efficient and friendly. Would recommend coming here for a casual bite to eat with kids, or if you need to grab something whilst out shopping. It's in a pretty central location to the town.

Used this place to eat on several occasions in the past and found the food good, on my last visit I found different people at the till and different chef's cooking the food, food was not up to its previous standards, steak had a lot of grizzle in and the mashed potato was cold, the other dishes were in my opinion bland compared to previous, waiting staff were very pleasant as always, but found the staffs attitude behind the till patronising towards my wife, saying that she had ordered a wrong dish when she hadent, they were just not listening, basicaly calling her a liar. Found the food overpriced for what it was, and be warned there is a service charge on top. Had it been at the standard it used to be, it would have been worth it. They have lost my custom, and I will not be returning
