The chips and fish cod was really terrible ever I had before. It looks like it was steamed rather than fried. But the coke was not bad, it's so lucky.

Really friendly swift service, tasty food and great value

Our large chips were not cooked. Really under cooked. We were served after everyone else that came in after us. My saveloy was hard! Shouldn’t bite into it & if he crunchy. We travelled from far to come to the area. And that was the only thing close to us to eat before going out. NEVER AGAIN. Also staff eating where customers can see. One staff member was smoking on her way to work and went in and didn’t even wash her hands before dealing with food. Disgusting overall. I wouldn’t advise you to eat there

Can’t believe how many snakes there are in Cwmbrân it seems to multiply more &more these comment’s probably come from the ones that don’t like to work I visit Junes fish bar often . not many places I eat from I’m very fussy . They do a lovely Irish curry the bags of chips are more than enough the fish the pies I can say are also nice and fresh I must say if there’s a cue that’s 90 % of the time unfortunately you’ll have to wait best things come to those that do wait 😉 and if you don’t want to listen to there chitchat keep your nose out go sit in the car they’ll bring your food to you not many chip shops do this the woman at Junes fish bar goes above and beyond keep up the good work you’ve always made me feel welcome and the food is well worth the wait

Chips were nice enough, but the fish was terrible. The batter had all the flavour of water, and the fish was bland and mushy. Wouldn't buy from there again.

Update on price on pics since wrote this review. Still good for what you get tho... Fantastic chippy!! Large chips that could feed 6 people, 2 very large sausage and batters, large chip shop curry and 6 chicken nuggets and can of rio all for £9.60. Lovely staff always polite and friendly can't beat this chippy. Only one thing that could be letter if could take card not just cash. But not big deal.

Got to be the biggest large chips in Wales love it

Great little Fish and Chips shop. Very good value for money, plenty of Chips, in fact to many for me. There Fish is is freshly cooked and very tasty. And always a warm welcome from all the staff when visiting. I pass 2 to 3 Chip Shops to use June's Fish and Chip shop.

Really friendly team of people, food is great quality and freshly cooked. Because I had to wait a little bit I was told they would bring my food out to the car..... really above and beyond. Easy parking directly outside. Very good value. I highly recommend this business.

First class chips sausage in batter and chip shop curry.x

The Chinese chicken ball curry box is lush and decent price at £3.75. Chip portions are massive, a few times I've had them they could be a bit more cooked, maybe that's just my preference.

The portion sizes are incredible. Large chips easily feeds a family of 4. Bear this in mind if you're buying for 1! Well priced. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Phone ahead and order too. Will be back soon!!

My food was fresh hot and delicious 😋 can't get nice Chinese curry sauce and rice anywhere else! Customer service was good and Claire was chatty and smiley :)

The wait was 2 hours and 1/2 and the chips was freezing and white like they wasn't cooked and also too add the person who toke my order was rude and was frankly moody

Last visited here about 18 months ago and said then never again. If it wasn't for the grandkids wanting chippy food i would never go in there. Got there minutes after it opened. Waited a good 5 mins to be served and as usual had to wait for chips to be cooked, they never seem to keep up with cooking them. So got the rest of the food ready while I waited. The woman serving then carried on talking to the other woman about having a drink of vodka last night and how here blood sugar was up to 110. Then moaning she couldn't read her own wrighting. Then carried on about her blood sugars again. She then carried on asking the next person what they wanted, still talking about her blood sugars. She then started sniffing and continued to wipe her nose in her hand!! 20 minutes later I finally got out from there. Got the food home. Opened up the pale soggy chips, basically not cooked enough. The batter on the sausage was like between plastic and rubber and just could not eat it. Basically a waste of money. The shop it's self looked dirty, bits of dusty paper stuck to the walls supposed to be signs. Paper stuck to the side of the fridge, looked like they been there for years and years. Underneath the counter is just stuffed with paper, carrier bags and bits of stock, that just looks very dirty and untidy. All in all it needs to improve greatly before I would go back in there. Been going to Pontnewydd chippy for for a long time now and much better. Just as much chips if not more in a bag and taste much better!

Night off cooking. We really enjoyed the food , we had one large bag of chips between 3 the portion is very generous could of fed 4. I had a jumbo sausage and it was very tasty. My hubby had battered sausage which is said was very enjoyable. It is our favourite chip shop in cwmbran the fish ,pies, curry sauce and gravy sauce are really tasty too we have eaten those on previous visits. The shop is very clean too.

Can't praise the food enough The generous amount you get in a portion of chips they are always freshly cooked while you wait so never any hard or dried portions

called in a few times since my last review, you can feed an army with what the girl,s in here feed you lovely fresh fish cooked to order.

We got told about this place when living in Newport so i made the trip up one evening to try it out, couldn't believe the portion size of the chips! A large chips feeds 4 of us comfortably ... Since moving to Cwmbran we use once a week and June is always nice & friendly when we walk in. The sausage in batters are also some of the nicest i've tasted, the batter is real nice. You must try it!

Nice food and huge portions I got a large bag of chips thinking the portions would be small like other chippys but u can feed the 3000 with the bag I had very friendly staff and the fish is freshly cooked to order stunning 10/10
