Greenhouse in Torfaen

Visited Saturday night. Received a lovely mixed grill which came piping hot. Thoroughly enjoyed. I was served by two lovely staff members which made sure I received adequate service while I stayed the evening. I highly recommend this pub if you fancy a relaxing evening out. The menu has a vast repertoire including steaks, burgers, fish etc suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Lovely range of cocktails, lagers and ales. There is something for everyone in this establishment. All our party enjoyed, definitely visiting again.

Beautiful place to visit and the staff were very welcoming but unfortunately the food served was extremely bad!!

As a customer with an Allergy to Vinegar, I must say that the staff here today being the 22nd of May 25. Has given excellent customer service to me!Checking every aspect of my food Order to make sure that everything was ok for me was conductedby the chef Jenny. The food arrived, well presented and tasted amazing. The bar/staff being Beth and Chef/cook Jenny went the extra mile and gave me reassurance that my order would be and it was perfect! 5 star overall customer service. The Green house and Marston should please note that these members of staff are a credit to the business.

The Greenhouse is a fantastic place to eat, featuring a friendly and professional staff. The food is always delicious, and it's a pet-friendly spot where you can relax with your dog, no matter where you’re seated. The atmosphere is wonderful, and there’s a large garden to enjoy time with family and friends. They even offer a 2-for-1 cocktail deal! I highly recommend it to everyone! 🙂👍

It was the first time we'd eaten at the Greenhouse and had friends who were staying with us. We all enjoyed our evening and the food. Niamh was a very friendly person who took time to check everything was ok, which it was.

My local pub. We eat here regularly pop in often just for drinks. Julie and Linden who room the pub are very friendly and accommodating. First class all round

Went there today and had a Sunday dinner wow was it terrible the yourcer was like eating raw dough the veg was hard the beef was so over cooked and the chicken tasted like I was eating feet the gravey taste like melted plastic and the drinks was not nice then pop was flat would not recommend

Honestly the place looks lovely and the staff was very nice. They did give me a dirty glass but quickly changed it after I said could I have a clean one and gave me a bit extra wine because of it. Where I think it failed was the food. I think in terms of pub food, if it was maybe 10 years ago it would be fine but everything is such to a great standard now this was just on pair maybe less with a weather spoons but not with the price. I would sadly not recommend the steak (had a few in my time) and paying for the higher priced option it was not worth it. The rest of us had similar experiences, the drinks were ok, standard drinks at the pub. I will say I did suffer from pretty bad tummy issues about a couple days after my visit, now I'm not saying it was the food..... But considering I had a pretty plain lunch at home..... Just saying if it quacks like a duck and sounds like one it's most likely a duck. Now I know mistakes happen and as I said it's so hard to narrow these things down, I'm happy to just consider it was one of those funny days Overall great for a drink, but I probably miss food to just be safe.

I can't fault the service, the food or the environment. The Greenhouse is always our 1st choice for a family get together because of the lovely gardens and the park facilities for the younger children.

Turned up all tables fully reserved, lady found us a table, bar staff super friendly even under pressure & the young lady that served the food went above & beyond, nothing was to much trouble..lovely experience

i often go to the greenhouse - i always book a week in advance - everytime i'm asked to book a table i always think of the greenhouse first

My partner and I are regularly here for her lunch break on a Tuesday. So much so that the staff know half of our order before we sit down (and that's only because I keep changing my order otherwise it would be 💯 😅) they're friendly staff, a lovely premises with character and charm, plenty of outdoor seating, and the few times we've had food there, it's been excellent. We also love that it's a dog friendly venue and one of the highlights is making new furry friends🐕. I highly recommend this pub/restaurant.

Booking a table online was easy so that’s always a good start. We were welcomed by the lovely staff and shown to the table. It was explained we could order at the bar or our table. Ordered food and drinks. Food came out not too long after. Food was piping hot and fresh. Loved the chunky chips! Staff came over to check everything was fine with our meals. Overall we were really impressed and can’t wait to come back with our dog now we know you’re dog friendly! Told my friends about this and they came for Sunday lunch today and they too were very impressed and can’t wait to come back.

Only called in for a drink, so unable to give more details. A Marston's pub with all the usual food offerings, large beer garden to the rear, it was busy on the Wednesday afternoon I called in, which means it is popular.

Drinks are too expensive for the area but service was good and environment is gd. Shoutout to the young lad who plays for Cwmbran celtic fc that was glass collecting - great lad and the reason my group stayed for longer

I had a delicious Cowboy Burger and my best friend had the Ultimate Chicken Burger. Both arrived hot and tasty. We split the burgers, and both were gorgeous (especially that Southern Fried Chicken!) Very nice to spend a birthday, pub quiz was an added bonus - and we got 35 points!

Have been coming here for many years, always had a warm welcome especially from Beth who makes a fuss of our dog Buddy . Really good service & great choice of food .

Flitted us in on a busy night so couldn't fault the service from the staff, and the pub had a good atmosphere. However we were disappointed with the food. The onion rings on the side were swimming in grease and cold and had no crunch at all even tasted like they were raw. Then the burgers were bland and no taste. The bacon was streaky and fatty I could hardly find the actual bacon. The chips were so pale they looked anaemic. So we didn't even attempt a dessert we left.

We were a party of 7 ladies who chose the Greenhouse Festive Menu on a very busy day - premises packed with diners all welcomed by Jen, the Manager who was very friendly, chatty & an extremely pleasant hands on Manager. 1st time visit at an Xmas lunch at this venue but will be our 1st choice next year, it ticked all the boxes for us 10/10 Many thanks to Jan & her staff

Our waitress Niamh was outstanding! From the minute we ordered til the time we left she was efficient thoughtful and most importantly .. friendly. I wish there were more like her. She is an asset to your company!

The staff are a credit to this venue. So helpful, friendly and attentive. Even though it was bar service, it was brilliant. My party all ordered separately but they made sure the order was put through at the same time and that our bluelight discount was put through.

Plenty of seating. Easy to order via table app. Friendly staff and love the fact I can bring my dog and eat in the cozy bar area. I did expect the food service to be a little faster.

Haven't visited for a couple of months, had a 30% off voucher so didn't want to miss out. Great service, friendly staff and as always excellent food.

Beware, menu items marked as vegan and vegetarian are not if they also have a * next to them. Out of the 16 menu items marked with a V or a Vg only five are actually vegan or vegetarian. Thank goodness I double checked and the lady behind the bar knew how the kitchen works. Please stop marking up meals as veggie and vegan when they aren’t! The * explanation is in the tiny print at the bottom of the back of the menu. There also is not enough staff, the two people working front of house were rushed off their feet.

Staff were personable. Food was really tasty. Parking was good. My toddler loved the park area at the back.

The food has improved a lot. I usually do not like the mac n cheese, but you nailed it. I wished i had ordered jacket potato with chilly seemed so nice when my colleagues ordered. We were so regular at green house but then management changed n it all went south. Seems u r back on

Always friendly and helpful staff, I've been a regular to the pub for the past year and a half as my son loves to play at their park and take a football to kick around in a safe space.

It was a busy valentine's day afternoon, also being a Friday - one of the pubs busier days, but the service was excellent and we didn't wait long for food, the pub was busy and lively when we arrived at 2pm but by 2.45 it was quite quiet, we were very well looked after, having turned up with an extra person, an 8 year old who was very easily accommodated for without an issue. We had a selection of starters, mains and desserts also items from the children's menu and there were murmurs of appreciation all round. We have visited this establishment on many occasions and have never been disappointed with the service that we have received or it's cleanliness. I would highly recommend, great for disabled people too.

Fist time of booking with app, was greeted and shown to our chosen table. Had a warm welcome from the manager, she is always lovely and friendly. Food ordered and arrived swiftly and was delicious as usual. Cannot fault the Greenhouse in any way.

Parked up and approaching the premises there was a wonderful aroma of sizzling flame grilled food. Walked in and greeted immediately and taken to our table. Ordered drinks and food at the bar, drinks served and food order taken. Food came out very quickly with staff smiling. Wonderful 👍 . The food looked fresh, and didn't disappoint on taste. Everything was so tasty too! Wonderful homely cozy feel. We will be back. Thank you for grrreeeeat service!

Meal portion on the small side, salad two bistro salad bag leaves.. Half a small tomato that was salad.. Mushrooms tinned, teaspoonful at best, dessert spoonful of peas. Although peppercorn sauce small portion but delicious.. Service good and staff attentive and friendly. Disapointing visit..our meals a little expensive for what we were served..

A great place to come that has a really lovely family atmosphere. We come here very regularly and are always welcomed. Christmas Dinner was beautiful and New Year's Eve was fantastic (dress up event, disco and karaoke with snacks throughout the night). The perfect way to welcome in 2025. Great food and a quiz every Wednesday & Sunday! We love bringing out dog Cooper here. The staff are always so attentive of Cooper and give him a big fuss. They couldn't do more for us 🩷🩷🩷🩷

The food was great. Lovely cosy venue with a children's play area outside. I had heard people say in the past that it's expensive, however, I found the prices to be pretty standard for pub grub.

We were a large group of friends meeting for Sunday lunch - accommodated on a long table with plenty of room - once ordered the food came within a reasonable time to satisfy a hungry group and was hot and well proportioned- the Beyoncé of Sunday lunches - the cost was genuine value for money - good selection of beers and my house red was good value for money too - we’ve all agreed we’ll go back first opportunity!

Nice Marstons pub, so you know what you get , always a nice place to catch up with friends . Service is always good and food is always hot . Dogs allowed in small bar area is a plus . Has a nice big garden, which is great in the summer .

Went here to the greenhouse pub on the 9/1/25 for our sons 25th birthday. There were 8 of us and all of us had a great meal which was very reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff serving us and minimum wait for meals. I would have no issues recommending the greenhouse for a meal and drink to anyone.

This is not our 1st Christmas day visit and as before we everything was amazing.

Myself and my husband went to the Greenhouse today for Sunday lunch.the beef dinner's was lovely really enjoyed it.but very disappointed with 3 tiny slices of beef

Friendly helpful staff. Meals were served promptly and simultaneously (8 in our party). I had chicken and bacon salad which was lovely. Real chicken, which was really good, sometimes you get something which resembles sandwich mix! All enjoyed our meals.

The staff we met on entrance was very polite and attentive. He was able to take us to our table straight away and ensured we had our order taken at the bar. The service was amazing, fast, efficient, correct with a smile but also without disturbing mine and my friends lunch. It was so nice to be able to be sit somewhere without screaming children and lots of loud music so we could hear each other and talk. It made for a very relaxing lunch and quality of food was great. Definitely coming back
