Junction Cafe in Watford

Best breakfast I’ve had in a while, Staff were friendly food was delicious I’ll definitely be back for more. 👍🏻

I have been a frequent visitor to this cafe, but my most recent visit was disappointing. We arrived at approximately 15:00 and were welcomed by the staff, unaware that the cafe was scheduled to close at that time. We placed our order as usual, despite the mediocre quality of the food. However, the service we received was extremely poor and disrespectful. While we were still eating, the staff began rearranging the chairs around us, stopped the music, and started cleaning the floor. My family and I felt uncomfortable and rushed. At 15:20, the waiter approached us and asked us to pay. We respectfully explained that we were not aware of the closing time and that we would have appreciated being informed before placing our order, especially considering that my son is a slow eater. Additionally, we expressed our discomfort with the cleaning activities being carried out while we were still dining. The waiter became defensive and argumentative, insisting that he had not rearranged the chairs at our table. We attempted to explain that even if he had not directly rearranged our table, the act of rearranging chairs around us and cleaning the floor while we were eating was disrespectful. However, he continued to argue and became increasingly agitated, making us feel as though he was doing us a favor by allowing us to dine there. The food quality was also subpar, with the eggs not being up to their usual standard. We requested cutlery, and they provided only a single fork, they brought it on the hand ! not even wrapped in a tissue. The quality of the food and the service was extremely poor. I will not be returning to this establishment.

First English breakfast and I enjoyed it. Definitely food for the whole morning, maybe more. Nice environment, nice people and great food. Be sure to bet.

Place near Watford station, to eat a mixed plate or breakfast at any time of the day. Normal quality.

I ordered a smashed avocado breakfast & was served burnt toast which was covered by the avocado & when I complained, the waitress said she'd let the chef knew next time. Not really good enough. I paid £9.90 for a substandard meal. Very disappointing.

Great value for money we got 2 full English’s, 2 coffee’s and 2 apple juice’s for £23! Fast friendly service and decent food! Coffee was lovely. We were staying nearby and visited Harry Potter Stuidos, where the shuttle bus picks you up around a 5 minute walk from here Definitely recommend if staying nearby!

Poor food. Asked for a Tuna melt. Hardly any filling, dry and not toasted. Wife asked for a ham, cheese and raw onion toastie. Was served melted ham, cheese and fried onions in between two slices of half toasted bread. No butter. GET A TOASTIE MAKER 😡

Great food, good value for money and quick, friendly service! Would recommend if you are travelling to Watford Junction or visiting Harry Potter Studios by taking the Shuttle bus outside the train station as it is only a 5 minute walk away.

We stopped here for a breakfast before getting the bus to Harry Potter World. Great breakfast.

Didn't have time to eat , just a quick stop for a drink but oh my good the food they were cooking , the smell was amazing and looked so tasty

I recently tried the food from here and it was amazing the service was impeccable and kind at the same time. They put a lot of effort in perfection and cleanliness which can be seen in the people working there and considering how well the business does, they clearly have the ability to deliver perfect service under pressure as well. Much appreciated and great place to check out.

I went this cafe the other day and omg!!! The food was yum & more than that the service was amazing. Briana was lovely. She made sure we were comfortable and well looked after :) will be returning soon

We got some paninis and a salad for takeaway. They were affordable. Wish the salad had more dressing as it was a bit bland and the paninis were a bit short on toppings. All of which we could have remedied if eating in so not necessarily an issue. Just be aware for takeaway to make sure it’s to your preference before heading out. Good service, kind staff.

I love this restaurant! My favorite place for English breakfast. The food is very good, the service is fast and efficient.

Halal breakfast NOT HALAL. Atmosphere and interior was great, clean and welcoming, however on the phone we were told food is halal. when seeing bacon on menu we then asked again in person and were told theres a halal option but the foods are grilled on the SAME grill. So no it is not halal.

We visited the bistro for late lunch and were very happy both with the selection and the actual food. Wanted to go back in the evening but unfortunately they were closed when we were searching for more food.

We would very much recommend this restaurant to everyone, there is parking nearby and very friendly workers. The food came out after a few minutes and we had high hopes, the food was delicious and prices were reasonable especially for a local restaurant. The portions were very generous and I would recommend if you have a big appetite or if your looking for brunch. Moreover, service was amazing and the waitress was very polite. would go again!

Very good breakfast, good price. I can only recommend that you have breakfast here if you are in Watford. We had traditional breakfest and eggs benedict a dream. Keep it up

Great little spot. Had the mushroom omelet. Was slightly overcooked. Also had the pesto panini. Panini was amazing. Finished it off with apple pie and ice cream. Service was good and helpful. Atmosphere was great.

We've been here a few times in recent months and we've had on each visit, excellent service, food served quickly and a very tasty, hot, fresh meal! The menu is extensive - not just the usual breakfast items including omelettes and sandwiches, but also paninis, salads, jacket potatoes with all the toppings, chicken dishes, burgers, grilled meats like lamb chops and faves like bangers 'n' mash and fisn n' chips. They also have a pasta & pies menu as well as a kids menu in addition to pancakes and desserts. They offer milkshakes and fresh fruit smoothies. I'm now hooked on their Spinach Super Fuel smoothie that's a total health boost in the winter and despite the name, doesn't take that bad at all. The prices are reasonable and it's a great family atmosphere. The staff are all super-helpful and totally efficient. You don't get a bill at the end - just settle at the till. There's additional seating at the rear of the restaurant which are more quiet and are great places to meet up with friends or read & write. It's a great spot just a 3-minute walk from the Watford Junction Railway and Bus stations to the first set of traffic lights where the Junction cafe is located. Add this to your meal experience when visiting Watford!

I was in Watford Junction last Friday for work myself and my colleagues pre planned on visiting Junction café for breakfast. This place is only a few minutes walk from the Railway station. One of my colleagues is a local and goes to this place regularly. We all ordered a hot breakfast with a hot drink and we all enjoyed our food. The atmosphere was very busy but relaxed and calm. I ordered the Halal breakfast with a hot chocolate. The service was excellent, the food was also very good. Service with a smile. Total cost £12.50 If I am ever in Watford Junction on future I will visit again. Top marks.

Everyone come here, there should a massive queue for this place, that’s how good it is. Nice decor, attentive staff. Food very average. Cheapest sausage you can get, mushrooms from tin. Wouldn't mind to pay more for better quality ingredients. Coffee was good

We were staying in a hotel near by and before we left to make the 2 hour Journey back we wanted a nice cooked breakfast in a local cafe. We found this place and wow! I have to say it was very friendly, very clean and the breakfast was delicious and hot. Also, it was reasonable prices too. Absolutely recommend this place and would definitely return it I’m ever in Watford again.

Found this little gem the morning after a visit to Harry Potter just before we hopped on the train. Service was attentive, served at your table. Food and drinks came quick and hot. Food was delicious the bacon wasn’t fatty which is how I like it. Lovey and clean great atmosphere. £5 for bacon, eggs, sausage and mushrooms on toast. Very reasonably priced.

super friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere which does the best breakfast /brunch anywhere in watford. I always have the healthy breakfast and everything is always cooked perfectly, no burnt chewy halloumi! really appreciate the fresh sliced avocado as well! Generous with the portions and hands down the best coffee🙌🏽

Great for breakfast!! Breakfast is around 10 pounds for an English breakfast with coffee or tea.

Just a great spot for good food, fast service and great prices. The servers here are all so friendly and the food always comes out in a timely manner. You get a great meal for the price you pay and it’s close to the station which is a bonus.

Me and my daughter came for brunch on Saturday lunch time. We both had the American breakfast. It was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, and the food was brilliant. The bistro was clean and tidy. If it wasn’t for the fact that I live in Milton Keynes then I would eat in there all the time. Thank you

Vom Bahnhof ca. nur 5 Minuten bzw. 200m entfernt findet ihr hier wahnsinnig leckeres Essen 😋😋😋... Die Bedienung kommt an den Tisch und ist sehr nett. Bezahlt wird dann letztendlich vorne dann an der Kasse. Im Gegensatz zu vielen Geschäften, Fress- und Eisständen kann man hier noch mit Cash bezahlen 👍👍👍...

What Fabulous little place! We found by complete accident as where we was going was closed! An amazing breakfast at fair prices perfectly cooked and served hot! Beautifully presented with hot drinks or cold! Very clean throughout and friendly! I would highly recommend! Will definitely go again when revisiting the area!

What a fantastic place. Food absolutely presented very well, tasted delicious. Staff smiley, attentive and a clean establishment. Parfait ! Le personnel est très agréable et fait l’effort de parler français. Nous avons pris des pâtes carbonara (plat généreux pour le prix 9£) et une omelette aux champignons (servit avec des frites + des légumes au choix au prix de 9£).
