Joy Taste Restaurant in Lambeth

Al pasar, decidí aprovechar el 50% de descuento de los gobiernos para agosto y, aunque el nombre es un poco decepcionante, al igual que la impresión exterior del restaurante, decidí probarlo. Me sirvieron rápidamente y descubrí que el menú, aunque incluía todos los platos chinos "habituales", también tenía algunos especiales interesantes de los chefs. Pedí filete de pescado en aceite de guindilla con arroz frito con huevo y dos latas de Diet Coke, que salieron a poco más de 14 incluyendo el descuento. La comida era increíble y se servía en un cuenco de madera tradicional. Súper picante y con el pescado rebozado, se cocinó a la perfección. Este restaurante no reparte porciones pequeñas ni utiliza ingredientes de mala calidad. En conclusión, recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante y sin duda volveremos!

Realmente disfruté mi comida, la segunda vez que he estado allí y volveré. Me quedo regularmente cerca y este es un pequeño lugar para obtener comida. Buen precio y buenas raciones. Si te gusta una tradición decente comida china para llevar, ¡esta es!

Al quedarnos en el hotel al otro lado de la calle, decidimos ir a Joy Taste para una comida barata, alegre y rápida. Una mesa fue despejada para nosotros en un minuto de llegar y el menú ofrecido, orden tomada en 5 minutos y bebidas llegaron un par de minutos más tarde. Luego vimos a 2 grupos de personas que llegaron después de nosotros para obtener su comida. . . preguntamos si el nuestro estaba lejos, a lo que nos dijeron que no. . después de que se atendieron otros 2 grupos y los 2 primeros pagaron y se fueron, volvimos a preguntar. . el camarero habló con la cocina para descubrir que habían tirado nuestra lista de pedidos (error genuino que puede suceder) y que nuestra comida no estará muy lejos. Ahora había pedido y servido otra mesa y finalmente, por desgracia, llegó nuestra comida. . . sin embargo, el orden de la sopa era incorrecto, cuando le dijimos al camarero que intentó mostrarnos el recibo (no escrito en inglés) para decir que estábamos equivocados. . él se llevó la sopa según nuestra petición. Justo cuando terminamos nuestras comidas, apareció la sopa correcta, explicamos que no la queríamos cuando estábamos listos y listos para la factura. Pagamos y no nos cobraron por la sopa, sin embargo, al menos esperaríamos tener nuestras bebidas gratis como cortesía por la gran espera y el pedido incorrecto. Lo único positivo es que la comida que tuvimos fue decente por el precio / ubicación.

Asked for soy sauce, which was given to me by restaurant manager himself...poured it over my food..it turned out to be an old soy sauce bottle they filled with vinegar..food ruined.I asked they could do another plate..they said they would have to charge me for that as well...even though it's their fault. No apologies.and didn't care...this is very bad because of by chance i had an allergy to vinegar...this would of been a very serious matter...

The worse restaurant I have been in , and dangers for people with allergy , there have. Sign outside there say , ask staff if you have allergy. There do not speak English any of the staff , I ask, and they did not understand at all , I pointed on the sigh there was up in the restaurant and outside , there just said nothing. one of the staff spoke chinses to me ? This is dangers a restaurant no one speaking English , this restaurant serve food for the many hotel there are in Waterloo, so this is bad not helping , there could not help a French famely there ask for help . Regularly get food here now. Staff is very friendly, food is amazing and for a low price. Definitely recommend this to others :)

We asked for 3 distinct dishes. It took a couple of explanations that we only wanted 3 dishes. What did we end up getting 2 distinct dishes and the 3rd was the same as the first. This was a takeaway order. Rather than walk back to try to sort it out we called twice without answer and gave up. It's a very small place that looks like it belongs in a back alley. The food was okay and that's why I'm raising my rating to 2 stars. But rather than hoping that they understand you just don't bother.

Had a very decent meal at this family owned restaurant - they are a bit pushed to supply their wine selection so you could ask to bring your own as they had no Rose, no Chardonnay etc - House White was fine though. Duck plentiful, Singapore Rice great. Not sure why previous reviewer said avoid - we very nearly didn't go - pretty glad we did. Give it a try.

I usually do not write a reveiw when something is bad, but this was really the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Most of the places in London have always been pretty good - this wasn't - I would just avoid it.

Had a busy day touring the city and realized I missed lunch. I opted for the flat fried rice noodles with beef. It was a good sized portion for the price. The restaurant itself was quite small and the food came out quickly and hot. I wasn't aware there is a minimum 10GBP for credit card purchases (didn't have cash on me) and paid an extra 50 pence for a drink to make it an even 10. Otherwise no complaints with my meal.

Walked by, noticed it was a busy little restaurant so gave it a go. Service was prompt, efficient but unfriendly. Food quality was quite good and portions were generous. It was a little overpriced for what you got, and the ‘basic’ environment. Nothing special, but OK if you are in that area and fancy a simple Chinese meal in a cafe.

Restaurant although small always looked busy in an evening so thought we would give it a try early evening as staying in hotel close by. Service ok. Even got discounted bottle of wine when ordered. However food very disappointing for both meals.
