Jolly Frier in Ceredigion

So glad that we ignored the poor review given. The jolly fryer fish and chips were the best we have had anywhere In a long time. The fish was succulent and not dry in the slightest and the chips were cooked beautifully. They were not at all expensive for the size portion that you got with one portion being plenty for my parent's between them. Would highly recommend you give them a go.

Absolutely awful. Dry and nasty fish, chips vile. How can they serve this disgusting food to people on holiday. Very disappointing and very expensive. Avoid this chippy.

Another year in #clarach #clarachbay and the Bayside Pizzeria persuaded us to try out the new pizzas - we were trying to walk home, honest. The whole place looks fab after its winter refurb, and the pizzas were AMAZING! Coffee machine not quite ready and the draft beers awaiting cooling so (oh dear...) we had to have some pink bubbly. Summer in Clarach is all about the pizza and bubbly 😎😎😎

Had several take aways from here whilst staying at Clarach Bay Holiday Park. Everything we had was excellent.

I love going down to Clarach Bay to walk my Jack Russell on the beach. Fantastic views across the sea and on a clear day, like today, the 'Llyn Peninsula' can be seen on the horizon. The Jolly Fryer serves the most delicious FISH and CHIPS I have ever, ever tasted! The batter is crispy, not too thick (almost like a tempura batter) and the chips, oh my word, beautifully cooked to a lovely brown crispyness, just the way I like them. A must to call there and eat your meal on the table & benches overlooking the most stunning views of the sea and surrounding Countryside. A warm welcome at this tasty take-a-away Tonight it was stunning and yes, my fish and chips were amazing. Thank you

Shocking service and worst battered fish I have ever tasted and at £4.95 for just the fish it was not cheap!!! The lady serving 'Joanne' well I have never been served by such a miserable so and so!! Not sure if she had a bad day but if you work in the public service sector (out front taking orders and splashing some salt & vinegar on a customers chips) you can at least crack a smile, have some respect for the customer and not have the attitude of ' I am doing you a favor here!! now place your order take your chips and move on!!! Very poor all around, my bill was £15+ (fish & large chips.....3 sausage in batter and 1 regular chips) quite pricey for what I had. Problem is they have the monopoly here and its them or nothing as far as PIZZA or chips is concerned. I did not open our order until we got back to the caravan (15 min walk or 3 mins in car) or I would have taken my fish back, batter was not cooked enough and a mushy mess not one crispy section!!!! We are regulars to this site but will never use the Jolly fryer again. Use with caution and take plenty of cash if you want to feed the family!!

Rude workers behind the counter the lady with long hair doesn't ware a hat but it is clean plenty of places to sit and eat
