Walked in, extra loud amplified female singer. Unpleasant to my average lugholes, which prefer zero amplification. The female voice could have been enjoyed perfectly without an amp. Infact it would have been much more acceptable. We had to leave immediately.

Great boozer, lovely staff and good selection of beers.

A friendly Friday night with a band playing, and punters up dancing by the bar (after a few drinks).

Nice little pub and garden, it's my first visit and there was a band playing tonight not sure if the band had setup in the position because there was football playing on the TV in the back room or it's the normal place ? But it was incredibly loud and I struggled to hear the bar staff . I will visit again and update accordingly .

Locals pub, no food, difficult parking...Great selection of , 5 bitters and 4 lagers....

Very nice place had a couple of pints in there. Staff were very polite and friendly I think his name was Charlie. Very nice beer garden with heaters under the brollies

Odd atmosphere for a Friday. Staff in the main ok but Landlady / Manager really rude. Wouldn’t recommend. Used to be good - not anymore Odd response to my original review from landlady to a 50 year old man who can provide ID at any time and who spent £23 on a round while there and has spent hundreds of pounds in the pub previously. My review is my personal experience- I’m not a fan so don’t need to go back but it’s quite clear From my experience on the evening and the response to my review, Margaret’s people skills need some refinement.

Proper old school boozer, great selection of real ale as well as lager and high street craft beer. Old fashioned in the best sense, ticking over nicely on a Wednesday night

Lovely traditional pub with garden. Didn't try the food today but did sample a couple of excellent pints of Tribute. Kaitlen was serving which only made the experience all the better. Would definitely recommend.

Love this place! Seems to have a quaint atmosphere of 50 years ago, one you feel relaxed in. A real local of the past. Delightful, friendly owners. Cracking beer garden....what else do want from a boozer? Shame I live 100 miles away 😢

Nice traditional pub, good range of cask beers, reasonable prices, friendly, informative landlord. Didn't eat, so can't comment on food. Will definitely go again when visiting the area. 👍 * Have been back a few times since original visit/review. Think it has changed hands, landlord mentioned above has retired I think. Still very good though and has retained range of craft beers.

Went to watch the rugby, great Guinness, big screen, rugby was rubbish, great little pub.

Super service and very friendly and helpfull staff

Good availability of tables out front and table service so no need to go inside. Covid precautions in place. A pleasant early evening drink with friends. Nearly back to normal. 😃

Just got back from jolly farmer I got to say had a lovely roast dinner and the owner was very helpful in surplying high chair for my grand son there was 4 of us all the roast were great and the chef was most helpful with the chocolate fudge cake thank you all

This is my second visit. Out of town near cricket field. Beautiful old pub,beams and wood panels. The walls have pictures and querky signs. 5 ales on,also by sport.

A very good chef gone and a Lazy Caretaker barman still there ,🤔😠 you could not call him a landlord. Never there and when he is he does nothing but lear at the young barmaids he gets in.

My dad's been coming for years and I pop in occasionally lovely quiant little pub very friendly with lovely garden

A lovely home cooked Sunday roast. No complaints. The sticky toffee pud was equally delicious. I would def recommend a visit. Beer is tasty and a good selection of real ales. The Forty Niner is a personal favourite. I will absolutely be back for more.

Friendly local pub, landlord always makes an effort with customers even if you aren't a regular. Recent extension means that plenty of seating is available - also has a lovely beer garden out back!

Could be better. Reasonable local. Staff could be a bit more friendly. Out of summer season big warning of don't go in back garden. Don't think that is necessary.
