A real pub, like a Pub should be. A good balance of entertainment, good food and pleasant company. Outdoor provision with a large back garden with seating and lawned area.

Lovely pub, food amazing. We will definitely pop in again next time we are in Shipley Park.

Was looking for somewhere to have a quick note for lunch and stumbled across the jolly colliers enroute to Annesley hotel. Freindly service and great toasties!,

I rang jolly colliers to order food , there staff are rude and slow on there service, they need to either update there menu or atleast let people know that they don’t have much as I wanted to order some nuggets they didn’t have chicken!! to safe hassle I’ll go somewhere else in the future , thanks . Do recommend.

I am a positive person and I only ever give constructive criticism. I have been today for Sunday roast and here are my thoughts. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Pub looked clean, I did not use the toilets so cannot comment. The tables are brilliant to eat at. Real nice wooden table tops. The food was hot The meat was tender Plenty of choice of vegetables and potatoes. It was costly, I ordered 2 dinners, 1 J2O and 1 bag in box coke and I handed in £30.00 and got back £4.65 change. So it cost me £25.35. That seems expensive for 2 dinners and 2 drinks. Food served on 8" plates, don't know why because the meat is plated, so vegetables don't cost much, so what would you lose to serve on 10" plates Gravy was like water. No real taste as it was very thin. My review is not meant to be negative but although we enjoyed our visit, we wouldn't go back which is a shame as it is a lovely friendly local which may have been a Sunday local for us.

Lovely polite friendly staff didn't get the chance to enjoy thier food menu yet as we turned up late so I be looking forward to thier carvery on a Sunday next time plus other meals on menu threw out the week they also do take away deliveries and i can't wait when they start having gigs ect at thus place I'm sure it be enjoyable evenings 😀

Great local pub! We just moved to the area and required a local to celebrate a Birthday. Even though short staffed due to Covid, the landlord was very accommodating and provided plenty of food, great value for money and a pleasant atmosphere. We will be going back for sure.

We celebrated an 18th birthday party here! The private buffet was excellent! The pub was fantastic and handled us very well. Can't wait to return..great place.

I've been to the Jolly Colliers several times and I really like it. The landlord, Dean, is a very nice chap and the staff are equally nice. The food is good and the atmosphere is very friendly. Well worth a visit!

Covid secure, lovely staff and the best fish and chips i have had in a long time

Lovely home made food, and a with a warm welcome from regulars.

Food had a blonde hair in which wasn’t pleasant. Don’t recommend going here again. Staff were kind but I’m not having some random blonde hair in my food again!

We visited this lovely from when we came up from Derby to go camping. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food was delicious! The homemade chips are to die for x

Went on a pool night so it was rather congested.They serve on tap a 00% beer which was well recieved.A good local I'm sure,but mine was only a one off visit

We went for a steak and chips my wife had lasagne the presentation was spot on and the steak way cooked perfectly well done Dean definitely back x

Went on Friday to see a band called Grip,they were the licks 🎤🎶👍 Nice local pub,cat park,good crown with a lot of Hang like Hanratty fans. Pool table in back room,good night,fair play.

A lovely clean pub where Dean and his staff make everyone welcome with a friendly attitude. The food is lovely with proper homemade chips and very generous portions. Well worth a visit whether for a drink, a meal or the regular live bands.

Great pub good ambience and tasty pub grub

Very surprised on the interior, thought it had been refurbished, food very reasonably priced. They ran out of red wine, could only serve a small Echo Falls, this wasn’t that great. The food arrived hot and with home cooked chips. Don’t look at the surroundings just look at the food. Staff friendly. Toilets very clean with th baby changing facilities.

Amazing food and entertainment almost every week and to top it all friendly staff and service but beware of the backwards clock behind the bar it'll catch you out even when you notice it's backwards

Nice place to have a drink, typically an old Heanor pubs. They seem to be doing a good job to make it work. Worth a visit.

My partner and I have been there twice, and the food is very good. The prices are very reasonable. It is a great place for couples and families.

4 of us went in for a late dinner.We ate off the 2 for £10 menu .We had a12"" hotdog with onions and chips,a gammon steak with chips peas and salad ,a hunters chicken with peas chips and salad,scampi with chips peas and salad.the chips were homemade not frozen or part cooked and reheated,and the portions were large.Everything we ate was fresh and well cooked.Were can for adults have 4 good meals for £20 .An added bonus was the beer was cheap.

Fantastic breakfast we got there late nothing was too much trouble for the landlord so friendly and the sausages were amazing best breakfast I've had this year and I've had a few can thoroughly recommend it

Lovely family ran pub, caters for everybody, excellent food especially the home cooked chips, nice quiet atmosphere, nothing to rowdy would definitely recommend.

We go to the Jolly Colliers every 2 mths whilst the dog is clipped elsewhere, we had our usual, steak and ale pie, sadly this time it was not very good. The Landlord was very sorry. We will return in the New Year as we like the place.

Called by the jolly colliers by chance as the front looked bright and inviting. We weren't wrong... Inside, the staff were lovely and the food brilliant. Bouncy castle in the back for the kids. Fantastic pub.

Called in late Sunday afternoon for a beer and some chips or a light bite, got the beer but the kitchen was closed, however the lovely lady behind the bar said if all we wanted was chips she would make us some!! Very very lovely and couldn't fault the chips!! Nice beer to!!

Meeting my friend Viv in Heanor whilst her little dog clipped we popped to normal lunch place to find it closed, a workman recommend the Jolly colliers, so we went, in future that is where we go. Lovely little pub, spotlessly clean, very friendly, jolly chef who cooked us gammon with home made chips £10 for two people, excellent value, 5mins walk from Tesco where we leave our and do a bit of shopping

Been for carvery Sunday and Wednesday dinner both excellent value for money which includes fresh veg and a choice of meat a great meal, also tried Colliers breakfast which is good and value for money. Haven't tried the burgers yet which have been highly recommended. All round nice pub friendly and a great atmosphere.
