Visited Jaia for views, vibes, and drinks - and we weren't disappointed! The atmosphere was fantastic, making it a perfect spot for a drink, see the incredible views and unwind with the family. Biggest highlight for me was the pool and views. It added a touch of luxury and created a relaxing ambiance that we really enjoyed. The drink selection was okay, they do fever-tree and offered a couple of gins. Not extensive. The boys had beers so a good variety to suit different tastes. (My nephew lives next door in the Battersea PS apartments). Seating was comfortable, with cosy relaxed loungers that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. Felt like a mini hol! It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time while chatting and sipping your drinks. Tip: a fairly elite clientele there, so my relaxed attire felt a bit too casual but I'm really not too bothered! We didn't try the food during this visit, so I can't comment on the culinary offerings. Our focus was on drinks and atmosphere, and Jaia delivered on both fronts.

Some friends and I had an early dinner here after some shopping in Battersea. Myself and my daughter are vegan so it’s a treat to find a restaurant with a decent offering on their menu . Joia did not disappoint. Our waiter Adam was knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients and recommended wine to go with our choices , I tried a wine I would never normally have and it was really good . It was very relaxed , not rushed and we were able to order some starters first then Adam can back to take our orders for main courses . The decor is wonderful , loved the food and the views but really it’s the staff that make these restaurants work. Friendly , attentive but not over bearing and service with a genuine smile ! Our waiter Adam was impeccable , wish more restaurants had staff like this . Will definitely visit again when I’m back in the uk

Had a lovely meal here on a Tuesday night with a friend. We were served by Adam who was very friendly and accommodating. The sommelier recommended a good wine for the meal too, it was nice to have a Portuguese wine for a change and he was very knowledgeable on the different types. The food itself, we had a few different nibbly plates, padron peppers which were perfectly seasoned and plenty of them. The patatas bravas were crispy & served with a lovely aioli. The croquettes were crispy and had a lovely rich filling inside. The Spanish omelette was served in the traditional style with a runny middle, very authentic & silky. The Iberico pluma was beautifully cooked & full of flavour. The setting was beautiful, I imagine on a sunny day it would be even better. Would definitely come back here.

Lunch at Joia. Waiter takes starters whilst friend still eating. Doesnt bother asking about drinks for main, let alone water. Food average. Fed back to reception staff. No improvement in service. Still charged 15% service. Disappointed. Go for a drink and view only.

The good:T he tasting menu was tasty and just the right amount. I would have preferred Madeira or port as the final dessert wine but the muscatel they served was sufficient and drinks were good. The layout of the restaurant is also nice though a bit out of the way from the regular part of London. The not quite as good: Service was friendly but not totally engaged.

Great view, good service, excellent cocktails but ridiculously small food portions. We all know that a full plate of food is rarely served these days but Joia's offering is an insult. The main was scarcely the size of a starter or side dish. Even the waiter was embarrassed when I commented on it. Absolutely unacceptable for the price paid. Would not recommend eating at Joia in Battersea Power Station.

My boyfriend and I went to check out Joia as we are local to Battersea and we sat in the bar and ordered tapas. The staff on the desk at the bar seemed disinterested and almost like we were inconveniencing them when we asked to move table (we had been placed on a high table right by the door when there were plenty of other nicer options further into the bar). We then waited half an hour to be served drinks, nobody came so my boyfriend had to go to the bar. The barman then came over, he was very friendly and apologetic. We ordered a couple of tapas plates, some champagne and cocktails, so they were getting some money out of us. The champagne was priced at £23 a glass and the glass came half full. The margarita was good and the food tasted like it had been recently defrosted. A medley of beige offerings, all lukewarm and over salted. It took another 30 minutes to clear our plates and then we had to flag someone down for the bill. This bar would operate better if it was self service. We were confused as to the poor service because the bar was half empty on a Saturday night, maybe that speaks volumes. Such a shame as the interiors are beautiful and the views are great, the food and especially the service are a major let down.

Food beautifully cooked and presented. Service impeccable. Beautiful modern restaurant with great views. Main complaint is the lack of choice of “main courses” which do not require sharing. I can see the reasoning behind small menus to ensure the food is always fresh, but I did feel really constrained by what was on there, as did not want to try and find a co-diner to share a plate with me. The food I picked WAS lovely, but I would hesitate going back again purely because of lack of choice to have something different. Second minor complaint is the gender-neural toilets. There are still many women who - for various reasons - are uncomfortable in sharing toilets with members of the opposite sex.

We have wanted to try this restaurant for a while and loved it! The service was fantastic. Very friendly welcome at the front desk. Our waiter Fabio was great and so helpful and knowledgeably on the food and wine as was Fabio the Maître d’. The view is amazing of the Power Station and lighting ambience perfect. The food itself surpassed expectations. Amazing Iberico ham, delicious and very generous helping. Croquette the best I have had, even comparing to Barcelona which was my best prior to Joia! We had Seabass as main which was delicious, incredible crisp and flavour to the skin …even my husband was a huge fan and he would normally choose meat. Every dish was delightful and can’t wait to return to try more on the menu.

Wonderful fusion of Spanish and Portuguese food, all top quality and, while you eat, a glittering view of the London skyline Battersea Power Station and the river Thames by night. We were superbly looked after by Adam from Angola. The only slight bad taint was being overcharged for corkage, having agreed a corkage rate before we went.

The tasting menu was delicious, and exceptional value for Money. The only let down was the steak at the end, it was rather fatty but still a delight to eat. Other than that, it was brilliant. The views are also amazing, and there is a lovely bar where you can have a drink with views over the power station.

Firstly, the new development at Battersea Power Station is worth going to even if you just have a wander round. JOIA is a restaurant over 3 floors of the 'artotel. Welcome at the front desk was professional, if not warm. Drinks in the bar on the 14th floor. They set up a table for the 6 of us. Great night-time views over the well lit power station. Interesting cocktail list, good service. Dinner in the restaurant on the 15th floor. A nice round table, again with great views. Adam was our waiter and he was excellent all through the evening. Steered us well with food choices and timings, you can over order early on in the meal with tapas and sharing plates, but he helped us with the pacing and the food choices. Also gave us a perfect recommendation on the red wine choice after listening to our preferred style. The food is excellent, the kitchen know their stuff. Not one dish that disappointed. Highlights for us were the salted cod, the seabass crudo, and the beef pica pau. Granted, it is not cheap. But I do feel the quality and cost are appropriate, especially taking into account the location. One small gripe. I'm not sure charging us £40 to serve a birthday cake that we had bought along is a cool thing to do. I appreciate that a restaurant has to make a living, and that if we have cake we are going to spend less on dessert. I'd be happy to pay this if we hadn't already spent £150 per head. It's no big deal, I just think some discretion should be applied on these things. It did not detract from a really enjoyable evening, and we will certainly return.

Great setting on the 16th floor of the Art’otel, & it goes without saying, the views are fabulous. It’s a glitzy, upscale environment, with well spaced tables & a buzzy vibe. The greeting & service was warm & remained attentive throughout the meal. The Portuguese /Catalonian menu consists of snacks, starters, tapas & bigger dishes & is best suited to sharing. Food was ok but nothing really wowed, which given the pricing, was a bit disappointing. Wouldn’t rush back to eat, but it’s an atmospheric place for a drink.

Very disappointing visit to Joia on arrival things were rushed and unorganised they had a rooftop bar event so it was busy so we understood service was very slow and they made it clear they weren't happy with us asking for tap water over still or sparkling mineral water we then went to order and the waitress started giving us recommendations steering us away from our original order which is fine although I did think perhaps we weren't going to be spending enough, we ended up ordering croquettes you get 2 for £9 and there not anything special and the sharing rice dish this was really disappointing for nearly £70 it was undercooked rice in tomato sauce no flavour a few prawns mussels and clams I was gutted we didn't just order tapas as originally planned I was originally interested in desserts but this put me off so we opted to leave the waitress did ask us about the dish at the end (no check back before this) and I explained why I was disappointed they didn't care we left and went downstairs to tozi cafe the Italian restaraunt in the hotel and spent another £70 as we were hungry this was better.

The food and service was great , We visited yesterday (Saturday) night and the waiter Adam was very helpful in helping us choose from the menu. The food was excellent, very well presented Portuguese and Spanish food. We chose the Beef Pica Pau and Scallops to start, and shared Sea Bass as the main course with batatas bravas and broccoli. The desert was a take on a traditional portuguese Pudim and was really good. The restaurant is in a great location looking over battersea power station and the river, very beautiful at night with all the lights of the city.

Stayed 2 nts at the Art ‘otel, and dined at Joia. A great location adjacent to the amazing Battersea power station. On 16th floor with fantastic views. So all in all, the location and set up is spot on. So could the food and experience live up to it? My answer is absolutely. We were served by Adam. His service and advice was perfect for us. The whole table loved the food, varied choices and experience the tapas menu provided. Definitely will return.

Simply stunning. From the arrival at reception the experience was outstanding. So many great choices we ended up sharing everything as so to not have any food envy. And it was a good idea to. Wine was great, service was attentive but not OTT. Can’t wait to return.

New hotel with rooftop bar was recommended to us by a member of staff at the newly converted Battersea Power Station. We didn’t have a booking, but as not busy we were able to have an outside table for just drinks. Really lovely rooftop bar, beautifully designed & with views across Battersea Power Station. Staff friendly & they didn’t seem to have a problem with us walking around to take photos of the views. Ended up spending an hour of so sharing a lovely bottle of wine. Prices average for a London rooftop bar.

I enjoyed pleasant visit for bariokee after it turned sour. My friends and I were having a good time enjoying the facilities before I was forced to leave the venue with my friends for no apparent reason. Two bouncers and the manager escorted me and my 10 mates out with our drinks saying it was ‘To keep me safe?’ We are questioning the reasons of venue??!! It was quite unnecessary and rude. The manager needs to sort his priorities out. He saw 4 flat espresso martinis being served earlier in the night then showed him someone how to poor a pint. Watch out for an EGG!!

February 2021Price = Pricey for what is it. Not extortionate, but slightly more than other nearby places. (2 out of 5)Cleanliness = Very clean with zero complaints. (5 out of 5)Service = Service was great. Not complaints. (5 out of 5)Food/Restaurant = The food was nicely flavoured but the saltiness was too much (in comparison to many similar places). The rice was very oily. The bread and salad was good. (3 out of 5)Overall Experience = For the restaurant level pricing, I would expect a bit more in terms of flavours and not an over reliance on salt. I did try this once before the Government' August 2020 'Eat Out To Help Out' incentive and it was better that time. I don't mind paying a higher price for a 'difference' whether quality or quality. (3 out of 5).

Anyone who has ever been to the Netherlands and knows what it should taste like will throw this away after two bites like I did.
