I’m suspicious of all of these five star reviews that were made two weeks ago and a month ago. The service in here is super slow. It’s very difficult to get served once you have been seated, even if you just want coffee. It then takes a long time to receive what you have ordered. The part I really disliked about this place is that it is absolutely filthy. I have no idea how the manager is walking around looking at the walls and the pictures on the walls as they are covered in food. See pictures.

Great spot to bring our newborn to brunch as there was plenty of space between tables for pram. Thanks Lea for great service.

Wonderful food. My son described his bacon roll as the best he had ever eaten, with a fantastic mix of flavours. Very friendly staff, Rachel was great. Will definitely return.

Great staff! Lea was our waitress and really great - come here often because the food is always good and all the staff are excellent. Only problem is they don’t take cash! All restaurants in the group are good but Jonny Green is my favourite!

Absolutely exquisite service. Considering we were a table with allergies, Rachel showed great attention to detail and was patient, understanding and clear. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Such a nice spot for brunch, food was amazing and the service was great too. I ordered the fancy bacon bap and a raspberry cooler, refreshing for a hot day. Thank you Matt and Jack for a lovely time :)

Went here with friends this morning - four people in total. Returning customers. Restaurant was packed. Looked like only two members of staff waiting all tables and one working the bar and coffee stand. Chaotic service. Waited an hour for our dishes to come out - when they did, two arrived first and the other two arrived 20 minutes later. Two of us ordered shakshouka - arrived luke warm and not in a skillet (so was stone cold in a small crockery bowl by the time we all tucked into our food). Was very bland - like a tin of tomatoes emptied into a bowl, cracked an egg in, two slices of pepper and a bit of tarragon/chilli on the top for decoration. Canteen quality at best. A very poorly made dish. Needed to ask for table to cleared 30 minutes after dishes were finished and even then, only two empty plates were taken. Bar was covered in dirty plates, end-to-end. Comedy moment was automatically adding service to a £120 bill. In such a competitive high street, we expected far better. We won’t be returning again.

Came to this brunch place on Sunday with a friend and although we liked the atmosphere and food here (hence the extra star), the curly girl that was taking care of us reeked of alcohol and was quite off putting. I don't think we will be returning.

We were here to celebrate a family birthday based on the recommendation of family members. Even though the restaurant has a nice light airy atmosphere you need to choose where you sit, as we got a headache from the flickering lights overhead and the constant grind from the coffee grinder. As for the food, I had Smoked Salmon Royale which looked good. However, the ratio of toast to the rest of the food was too low. Not enough toast for the smoked salmon and eggs, which made it hard to eat. My daughter had the Blueberry pancakes was disappointed. The pancakes were very dense and dry and so left over half on the plate. We also tried their specialty, the Lamington Cakes. To be honest, not sure what was special about them as we found them to be dry. Be warned if you're not a fan of nuts this is not the place for you as different nuts are used in the majority of the dishes. Sometimes as a substitute for something else. Although, some members of my family loved this place, it wouldn't be my personal choice for brunch/lunch.

I echo many other reviews on google that the customer service is horrifying. It’s a manual of “what not to do” that all cafes and restaurants should learn from. Firstly, the food and coffee is excellent, but the customer service is offensive. I come in around 11pm most days and order coffee from the street hatch opening. And the same girl is there (Aleya is the name on the receipt) she greets you stone faced and expressionless. And completely ignores every “good morning, how are you” and when I give my order just grunts in disgust and turns round and makes the coffee. When the coffee is handed over and I say “thank you have a nice day”, again silence and a look of “god I don’t want to be here”. I thought it was just her but this morning a tall guy was on duty at the coffee machine outside. He was even worse. Silence again on all fronts including the “good morning and how are you” and when I poured some sweetener on my coffee he sarcastically and bitterly murmured “yummy” and “eugh so you like the synthetic sh*t…”. That was the only conversation. It says “Hello” on the coffee cup.. I would imagine so they don’t have to. This place is abysmal! I was going to have my birthday party there early next year, but it would be such an embarrassment to bring friends there. Dreadful morning experiences every day, never again.

I met up with a friend for breakfast here last week. The waitress who sat us down had a very cold attitude but we accepted that some people have off days and that's life. Ordered two hot drinks and a shakshuka with added side of avocado. Also asked if we could have a mix of white and charcoal sourdough instead of all charcoal sourdough. Waitress took order, didn't say anything. The food and drinks came and because my friend and I had not seen each other for a long time, and because Johnny Green was new to us, we didn't notice the avocado did not come with the shakshuka. But we ate, chatted, paid and left. I have now looked the receipt closely and realised they charged £3 for the avocado (although my fault for not noticing it was not served) and £2 for an extra portion of white sourdough. It was never explained that there was a charge, as we simply asked for one slice of each type of sourdough. I don't see why that is so impossible that the kitchen can only understand an extra portion and not a simple substitution. On the minus side indifferent service and needs more attention to detail. On the plus side the room is quite bright and spacious, there was no problem with asking for some tap water, and we could sit and chat without interference. There are countless other coffee shops along St John's Wood High Street so if the service and billing were much better I would try Johnny Green again, but maybe not immediately. I am giving them a 4/5 because the experience was not disastrous.

Visited a few of these branches but this was the first where I could see the kitchen from where we were sat. The lady that sat us down was lovely, friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Everything fine until I noticed the chefs in the kitchen handling food, then picking up their phone and texting, preparing more food then picking up the phone again. The phone holds so much bacteria so it was completely putting me off my breakfast. Then saw one of them eating what looked like a hash brown, then licking their fingers, then going on to dress another plate. I’m sure this sort of thing happens a lot in restaurants but to see it is another thing. Just feel like more hygiene care could be taken in this kitchen.

Wow - Katia was so welcoming and helpful and the food was served so beautifully. I have been 4-5 times previously and it was good! I feel Katia who recently joined made it above and beyond expectations today. Can’t wait to dine again. ( The only issue is the QR/app is not so easy to order from and some staff say order via QR - which we would if it was “easy to use” gladly use the QR -otherwise we wouldn’t have reached out to ask ;)

Awful. Sat and waited 15 minutes for someone to ask me what I’d like. Then when I said how awful it was, that ‘manager’ pointed at the waitress as if to say she’d asked. Neither had and I’ll not be back. Avoid like the plague unless you’re ‘interesting’ enough…

A lovely place to relax. This place is popular judging by the number of people there....and we can see why. We had the two course brunch with unlimited prosecco....and there was no holding back from our hosts. We were given a bottle from the off, and when that went it was quickly replaced with another full bottle. The food and staff were great too - making this a very enjoyable experience

Popped in yesterday and saw someone else being served the double smash burger. I had to come back to try one. You should too. It’s an amazing gourmet burger as good as you will get anywhere.

I agree with a previous reviewer that Paradise Greens feels like it was designed for business meals—somewhere polished enough to impress on the surface, but not focused enough on delivering a memorable dining experience. The food was good, but not standout, and the portion sizes landed in that same middle ground: not generous, but not small enough to feel intentionally refined. It’s a place that seems to be aiming for “premium,” but stops just short, which leaves the experience feeling oddly non-committal. We also had an uncomfortable start to our visit when we arrived as a small group without a reservation. Even though the restaurant stayed mostly empty while we were there, the staff seemed put off by our arrival, creating an unwelcoming vibe right from the start. In short, Paradise Greens looks and prices itself like a premium spot, but the food, service, and atmosphere all hover in an awkward in-between space—not bad, but not something I’d go out of my way to recommend.
