Cold late and delivery driver as always a nightmare

Food was lovely and warm and the fish was cooked to perfection

Very poor this time. Batter fell apart and that delivery driver is a nightmare, blames everything on his employers.

Parmesan and garlic chip was delicious, well worth the wait.

Delivery was late and I didn’t get one of my drinks

After looking at the reviews I wasn't keen to order but my daughter was craving a cheesy chip. At £6.25 for a few chips with cheese on the top I offered to make the same, not happy teen. Only reason I'd order a chippy is being without a car, wouldn't rush to do it again. The order arrived an hour after I'd placed it, which isn't horrendous but at the absolute end of the timescale they give. The elderly man who delivered it said he'd just picked it up so go figure.

Beef and chicken chip with pepper sauce was unreal! First time trying it defo order again!

It's incredibly greasy, it always was but used to be much less so when it was further down the road, but since moving to this location it's just unbearably greasy. I only eat here when I'm visiting family and they order it in but, this past year or two, every time I feel sick. Grease coats the back of your throat, so much grease I feel like my heart is going to stop. There's more grease in one chip than John Travolta had in his hair. Even the un-battered chicken tastes like it's been deep fried. Also just standing in the place was enough to make my clothes reek, and I do mean reek, of oil. Standing in there for twenty minutes was enough to make my skin and clothes oily, the poor staff must be like the krusty burger teenager back there.

usually receive great service from JD's however after nearly 2 hours waiting I called them only to find out that they have only started our order.

Over an hour past the latest estimated delivery time, more than 2 hours in total

it was closer to three hours absolutely terrible service. Same bad service as last time when i went to collect it. yes one helped you didn’t know what queue you were in yes on asked yes one organised anything in shop. six people ordered and got it!

Order was due between 6-25 & 6-45 didn’t arrive till 7-24 & wasn’t the warmest & heating in microwave made it soggy

the peas are mushy peas and it took 40 mins for a chip with gravy and peas !

had to wait two half hours from the time I ordered and then 45 mins late ordered fish and chips fish was lovely and the chip cold and a cheesychip was not good have received better service and better food it dear eating

Took a while to get here but was totally worth it. Was expecting to wait because of the holidays.

Delivery 30 minutes late on top of existing 70 minute wait from order to estimated delivery. Food arrived luke warm at best and virtually inedible

I placed my order online only to find after i checked out it was wrong called John dorys phil corrected the order with no hassle and i collected the good size portion scrumptious food on time

I was told our meal would arrive between 6.10 & 6.40pm. When I rang at 6.50pm. I was told it wouldn't arrive till 7.20pm. It did arrive then & the lady was polite and friendly, but why am I paying £4.95 for a late delivery? I think a refund is due.

Placed my ordered at 7.15pm, just been delivered at 9.12pm after 2 phonecalls to the shop 2 hour wait to just absolutely ridiculous

Our food time was pushing back by half an hour and then after 2 calls to restaurant and 1 hour + wait they stil didn't give me a time that it would be delivered. They were busy and the lady left with loads of orders! I know places get busy but this is unacceptable. Order was over an hour late from expected delivery time but when we phoned the 2nd time (within an hour) for an update the restaurant hung up on us when they were told our order name.

Possibly the best chicken burger I have had in a very long time

I don't complain often but when your paying 20 pounds for food this Evening was the worst ever fish was nothing worth writing about and the chip and cheese was freezing cold

Under cooked chips and cold. Burger cold and tasteless I’m very disappointed won’t be back To expensive to be getting bad food. There are many other chippys in the east that do great food.

Order was 1 hour late. I pressed the “late” button and received a text to say it would be with me in ten minutes. 50 minutes later it still hasn’t arrived but says “food delivered” on the Just Eat app so now there’s no option for a refund on the app. Extremely disappointing. Giving the food one star as it didn’t arrive at all! Hungry household. Not impressed.

Chips where soggy chicken was rubbery and sauce was tasteless and funny texture usually nice but really poor especially at the prices that is paid it will be while a long time before I order again

I ordered from John Dory's (Holywood Rd, Belfast) at 5.35 on Sun 2 June - delivery was timedr between 6.25-6.45. By 7.25 the food hadn't arrived, I rang the restaurant and was assured the food had been prepared and was ready for delivery. by 7.55 the food had not been delivered so I rang again. As I was speaking to the restaurant the food arrived at 8.00. The food was at best tepid when we began to eat. This is the second time I have the same issue with this restaurant. totally dissa

The Delivery driver was brilliant. We've had a bereavement today in the family, but it went out of our mind to leave a tip. Please tell the delivery driver we are so sorry and we would love the option to give a tip!!

delivery 10 mins late 1 can short and tub off sauce

This was supposed to be delivered between 6.30 and 6.45 pm. It now 7.36 and there’s still no sign of it despite contacting them twice for an update on where the order is. I’m v disappointed.

Food was piping hot, delivery driver wad nice. We'd ordered chicken curry loaded chips, it was chicken and peas and spot the onion with thick gloopy sauce dumped on top of chips that doesn't even taste like curry

The place was packed, the person taking orders wasn’t paying attention, the staff were miserable, the chips undercooked and overpriced, and I’ve had better battered fish from the frozen section of Tesco. Also parking is hellish at the Boulevard so if you’re gonna get a John Dory’s maybe go to the Ballyhack one…. Since moving from the petrol station, this John Dory’s has gone from being mostly pretty reliable to awful. I won’t be back. I only went here the other day because Codzilla on Belmont Road was shut for Xmas and New Year.

Terrible food was stale when we finally got it 3 hours after it was ordered rang twice to be told it was on the way only for it too arrive an hour later

Given the holidays the food tasted like the staff didn't want to be Mack at work honestly, gravy runny and diluted tasting, chicken gravy that we also ordered was just a normal gravy

No cheese on the gravy chips even tho was asked for beforehand on the phone, no hashbrown on the burger and everything was quite cold.

We ordered chips and a cheesy chip to go with our fish. The portion size for the cheesy chip was miserable and the chips weren't much better.

Stood for ages awaiting my order this afternoon, became clear they forgot my order of 2 sodas then they rushed and got it wrong. Wasn't until I got home I realised. So 30 minute wait for 2 incorrect sodas isn't good

Delivery driver was first class getting through traffic that time of evening and we were very appreciative. 👍

Worst customer service ever phoned up to ask about my order. As it was late they said it was under the heat, lamps and delivery driver wouldn’t be long. 20 minutes later still nothing phone back they said it was still under the heat lamp and the delivery driver was on the way to them by the stage, I know my food was sitting for at least 40 minutes under the heat lights so I told them I wanted a refund. They said there’s nothing they can do just contact just eat terrible attitude, not even a story
