Joe's Kebab in Bristol, City of

Literally twice in a row the chicken strips came out of the deep fat fryer and were ice cold in the middle. Got it right 3rd time after double frying my last set of strips

I am missing extra toppings on the pizza and it's also burnt

was a problem with my order, they called and changed it for me straight away. came hot and was really nice

Did not follow order notes and doner kebab had chicken in it which I’m allergic too and only ordered lamb doner burger also garlic bread ordered and they sent cheesy garlic bread, joeys used to be the best in Bristol but now it’s appalling will not be going back there!

Very polite when I spoke with them on the food ordered lamb doner and onion rings and was very tasty, couldn't go wrong

Ordered through their website They took my money and I waited over a hour when I rang the store the man I spoke too told me they have this alot but their website ordering doesn't work ! He said he didn't understand me and kept saying cancel order for refund There is no cancel option ! No food and out £39 !! Never using them again!

Ordered on just eat, at 00.55 delivered at 03.05am absolutely stone cold ahit customer service from when ringing the shop, bullshit excuses under par food, where is Joe bring back Joe it’s gon e down hill since Joe had it and then name joes kebab should be removed it’s disrespectful to what was a renowned and amazing takeaway now it’s nothing but a overpriced underpar food establishment that’s brought shame upon the good man Joe himself! Stay away

Everything tasted lovely just never got the salad or sources I asked to be put on it

Avoid this place! I was sent the wrong order, wasn’t even my name on the delivery bag, told the driver and he phoned the shop and they said they would refund me. Waited a few days and no refund, I then rang the shop and the man was so rude! Didn’t even care! Was shouting at me! I will never order from them again!

Got Lamb sheesh its was amazing. The meat was so soft and tender. I would definitely recommend and be going back. The only disappointing thing is they didn’t give an option for a large, although It was a good amount for £10. Well done guys🙂

Missed out on stuff that I ordered

Love these guys. Truly one of the most reliable spots in Bristol. I feel like no matter what stupid time my drunk ass wobbles down East Street these guys are always open, and every time I pop my head in and ask 'still serving?' and I am told with kindness and grace 'yes, brother. We will help you.' As for the scran, can't go wrong with a classic doner kebab here. What I like about these guys is they throw the strips of doner onto the grill for a bit after shivving it off the spit - makes for a really nice crispiness around the edges. And you know you're getting that with the garlic mayo AND the chilli sauce which is some of the nicest around. I actually moved into Bedminster about a year ago and was worried if it would work out or not and whether I'd find my feet, and then at one point in the summer I ended up going to play tennis with some new friends I'd made at my new job, and we went for drinks afterwards, and I walked home in the sun a few pints deep and hadn't had dinner so stopped in Joe's for one of the kebabs I'd just described, and as I was eating it along North Street I felt this amazing quiet joy, like an old happiness buried long ago had suddenly found its way to the surface, and it felt like I had just landed for the first time into the rest of my life. But anyway, pretty good kebab. I'd recommend.

Waited 2 hours for the most rubbish food, it was freezing cold. When we rang to ask where our food was, he kept saying 5 minutes. When the food arrived, it was cold so we rung them again and was given abuse from the staff and they hung up the phone. They wasn't giving me a refund on any of my food, even tho some of it didn't even turn up. Absolutely vile customer service, horrible staff.

Wow! Took my order through deliveroo at 2.30am and said it would be delivered at 3am, Ignored all phone calls I made. At 4am still nothing, I fell asleep but checked the ring door camera in the morning and no one had turned up, no missed calls but I'm told I won't be getting a refund because the food was somehow delivered, AVOID!

My friend is an uber driver waiting for order from 30 minutes and they keep saying that order will be ready in 5 minutes and after half an hour they're asking for 10 more minutes and not taking seriously about the orders and food. So uncooperative and rude staff. And also liar. At the end they're even not feeling sorry about their behaviour and wait. Very bad experience Not recommended

placed an order then read some reviews - panicked yet also laughed a lot - my favourite being a 1* review by Michelle in which the reply is "thank you for your time Michelle" - absolutely slayed me. - however, the food was great and on time - the delivery driver was hilarious. 10/10 for what I wanted at 4am in the morning.

I order food at 1936 from this restaurant with a delivery time of 2020 to 2040, then they changed the delivery time to 2040 to 2100. I called them at 2110 after the app has said enjoy your food, I would if I had any, now they are saying it would be another 20 minutes before I get my order. Which no doubt it will be cold. Not happy

This kebab came unassembled, if I wanted to make my own food I wouldn't of ordered a kebab. It was also freezing cold where it had been layed out separately on a flat cold metal tray! And there was barely any meat.

Food was disappointing to say the least. Ordered 2 large kebabs in pitta. But got Extra small, judging by the size in boxes. Extra pitta not included. The wait time for what we received, awful. Refund needed ASAP!

VILE Placed the order and joes kebab at 1:25. We called them up at 2 and they were rude and ended the call fast, at 2:30 we rang again to ask if the order is finally on its way he said a driver is on his way and hung up before we could get a sentence in. At 3am we rung again and they did not pick up at all so we decided to use the Uber eats support agent and they even tried ringing… no answer. Absolutely fuming that our food was takeing way too long to get delivered , poor customer service and EXTREMELY RUDE! So now with the Uber eats support agents help they are cancelling our order and getting our money back. Waited 2 hours for nothing. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

The best kebab I've ever had. I looked them up. The highest 5 hygiene rating you can get. Lovely friendly staff. Really impressed. Highly recommend.

Food was missing. What did arrive was cold. Joe’s used to be the best. What happened?! I would recommend M&M as a superior alternative. The falafel wrap actually has Falafel in it and the lamb shish has more than 4 pieces of lamb in it. Avoid at all costs. On the bright side the delivery driver was lovely.

No stars . Been told to enjoy my food . This place is vile! I placed an order last night and it said it was delivered. When I rang to chase it I was told they are very busy and haven’t even made my food yet. The guy on the phone was sarcastic, rife and basically laughed at me down the phone bragging about how busy they were and they wasn’t bothered about my order. The food was disgusting, a hour late and just terrible customer service.

Rubbish. Ordered on ubereats, didn't arrive on time (at all) so tried to get through to the restaurant via calling and kept going to voice mail. No update and no food. Won't order from here again. This is my second bad experience.

Absolutely appalling service. I have ordered from here before with no issue, but will not be ordering from here again after this evening. I ordered my food at 6ish and the delivery was estimated at 7:45 so when 7:45 came along and my order still hadn’t arrived, I attempted to reach out over just eat but the number was invalid. So I googled the number and when someone answered, he told me the driver had left my food outside my house because I had not answered my phone. I had been waiting by my front door for my food as I live in a 5 story town house, and not once did someone ring my bell (that rings through the whole house) I opened my front door whilst on the phone and behold, my food had been sat there for god knows how long but now stone cold. I asked the guy on the phone if his manager was available, and he said he was in charge (funny because five minutes into our heated conversation, he said his boss was standing right in front of him) I tried to explain to the guy on the phone, that I had been waiting for my food near my front door and no one had rang the bell. I asked if I could please have another order sent to my house as my food was now cold, and the man said he will come to my house with another order but if he can prove the driver rang my mobile, then he will take the order and leave. I told the man that I did have a missed call on my phone, but regardless we were still in the same situation where the driver did not attempt to contact me in any other way and that if he would’ve rang my door bell I would’ve heard him. When I asked why the driver didn’t ring my door bell, multiplied occasions he ignored me. (Probably because he didn’t have an answer) I told the guy on the phone that I’d appreciate another order being sent to me as the driver made no other attempt at contacting me other than 1 missed call, which I think is just appalling. He could have text me, rang again, rang the bell, knocked… The man eventually said “just leave us a 0 star review then.” And that’s when I hung up on him. Phone etiquette was terrible, customer service was terrible. An apology was not offered. Don’t order from here, they clearly have no respect for the people paying for their food and offered no jester of good will at all. Just eat only offered me half of what I paid which was better than what Joes offered. Im not surprised that they have so many 1* reviews. The man on the phone said they were too busy to send me another order, and that if I wanted to pay for another one then they would send me another kebab. I originally ordered a kebab and salad. You can find below a photo of the little to no salad that was actually inside my order. What a joke. Don’t waste your time here. Go to champions bedminster instead. Much better portions, quality and customer service.

Absolutely appalling service, if I could give 0 stars I would! My food arrived stone cold as the driver left my food sitting outside my DOOR! I called the restaurant and they told me it was outside. I told them I had been sitting by my front door waiting for this food for an hour and at no point did they ring my bell or knock. Asked for a new order because I was hungry and they outright refused, telling me they rang me. Opened my food to find there was NO salad with my order as I had asked.
