JMB Fish Bar in Fenland

Overcharged for a portion of fish and chips. Got home to find that the portion of chips could have fitted into one hand and the fish was mainly all batter and hardly any fish. This is not the first bad experience I have had or my partner.

Had a Chinese. Never again. Food was incredibly salty. Couldn’t eat it. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Thought I’d give it a chance but it failed. Do not recommend.

My husband is a coeliac sufferer and really missed real 'fish shop' fish and chips. So I was over the moon when we discovered J and B. Excellent food ! The G/F fish looks delicious and is always handled separately to prevent 'cross contamination' and well labelled. Both English and Chinese dishes are well cooked, tasty and offer a wide choice. Always clean and a wonderful welcome. We are firm regulars now! Highly recommend . Thank you J and B.

£34.00 completely wasted tonight on a Chinese takeaway that was so salty that it was inedible. The soup tasted as if a salt pot had been dropped in it and the only vaguely edible dish was fried rice. Whether it was salt or MSG, the sodium levels were quite frankly dangerous.

Ordered a takeaway from here last night, the best Chinese food for miles. Great chips as well. Thanks.

We always visit this chippy, their fish & chips are to die for!! Always friendly staff too!! there's always too many chips but that cant be a bad thing :)

Very tasty sausage and chips (£3). Easy parking and open 7 days a week. Range on the menu also looked good

Fast food? I appreciate they were busy but to wait getting on half hour for a few sausages and chips and then not to be offered even a hint of a ‘sorry for your wait’ is not really on. Got home and frankly the food was actually only average. I think going by other reviews the quality suffers when they are up against it. Sadly I am not impressed and would be unlikely to go back

Had a Chinese take away, absolutely wonderful, the best I’ve had in ages and very reasonable. Set meal for one plus another dish was more than enough for 2.

Amazing place for quality fish & chips, including gluten free. Now they have started cooking chinese menu, totally amazing. You must check it out and you can even eat in.. Great place.

To any Gluten Free / coeliac sufferers who are looking for fish & chips at an establishment that actually know what they are doing regarding cross contamination and separate fryers then add quality with tasty fish and an excellent batter then this is the place you need to go. We have been regular visitors and have enjoyed every meal which considering this hadn’t been possible without a long journey to find another decent place that served G/F we really do recommend J& B and recommend you pre order as they do get busy

Very small eating area, but very clean and ameniable, only issue is the door opening and closing causes the draught each time and can be annoying, but the food is presented very, very well and staff attentive and pleasant. we thoughly enjoyed the food. Go in and try for yourself..

I’m happy with the meal, it was delicious. The new potato and the cod is my favorite. Lovely staff will make sure I can get the fresh and tasty fish and chips. I have been trying others fish and chip In those famous attractions place but can’t compare with this. I definitely will come back again. Thanks!

Got lunch here with my autistic son (never having been before) & while we were eating at the tables outside the woman who served us came out with £1 & apologised because she had accidentally over charged for his drink. I can hardly blame her since I was alternating placing our order with telling him to behave & having to keep asking her to add more sauce sachets to the bill because he kept pocketing them so good for her for realising & bothering to bring it out - I certainly wouldn't have known since I was much too busy with him to add it up myself Our food (fish, fish cakes, chips) was excellent too with generous portions :-)

Called in on the off chance and I can’t believe this gem of a shop The food is excellent Try the gravy .....wow it’s gorgeous Food tastes clean It’s fresh and the fish is beautiful Even a seating area in the conservatory to enjoy your experience. I had a vegetable burger. The "salad" was one limp lettuce leaf. My wife had a piece of rock. This was very greasy and the fish was undercooked. Not recommended.

Called in the J and B fish bar last week. It is now under new management. The new owners are very polite, and the range of the menu is excellent. The quality of the food was excellent also.

You get plenty of chips,The food is very hot and tasty.We will be back again next year cant wait.Cant fault it at all.

We went there in April,June and again in September.It was lovely and hot the only thing wrong you gat too many chips so a lot get wasted

This is the best fish & chip shop in the area. All cooked while you wait and to die for when you get it at a good price also. please give it a try you won't be disappointed

Been here a few times & got to say the service is excellent, very courteous, the food is freshly cooked & at a reasonable price. You will be surprised at the size of a small piece of cod & food is very tasty.
