Very rude owner who short-changed my daughter, and when she went back to say, he started shouting at her. My daughter came bk in tears. Very rude and not how you should treat your customers. Definitely will not be going back.

6 quid for pie, gravy and about 10 chips. Asked for more but that was all they had left and still wouldn't knock the price down.

We get fish & chips here perhaps once a month. All cooked to order, so fresh & piping hot. We live very nearby, so occasionally just order chips to go with something cooked at home. Generous portions.

I ended up at dodding. And Peterborough hospital with low blood pressure got home 3 30 in the morning yes the chips where good

One of the hidden gems in March really great prices and food is great from here the owners are lovely people and one of the few places you can get scraps from great when mixed in with the chips I would really recommend this place the best thing on the menu is the curry pancake roll worth a try

Always a good takeaway from Golden Land. We don't get takeaways too often but this one is a good one. The only slight negative is i like my chips a little crisper.

We ordered several meals, and each one was perfect. Fair portion sizes and prices, friendly staff, clean environment and quick service. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you. We will be back, thank you.

Really nice fresh chips and freshly cooked jumbo sausage. Not a huge chip eater but these were really nice.

Quick, friendly service and lovely food.

Pukka pie was as expected but literally a handful of chips for 1.80. I stopped for a sandwich on the way home. Avoid this fish bar, there's plenty of others in march.

Good service always cooked fresh

We've been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. Chips are good and the batter is crispy. The service is always friendly and prompt and while there are many chippies in March, we have always preferred this one. It should also be worth noting that we never have problems parking, there are a couple of bays outside, but otherwise there is lots of on street (legal) parking nearby

Lovely fish cooked to order nice thin crispy batter and nice not to have it swimming with grease which other fish and chip shops we have tried are. Good value for money too. Friendly staff. Will def use again and try more of the menu

When the order is right it’s fine, when wrong the staff are rude, and uncompromising, we will not be returning.

We stayed in March at the local hotel and decided to have fish and chips here. What a good choice we made too. The chips were to die for, not to mention the size of the fish. Will definately come back here when next in March.

Ordered two pieces of fish and a large portion of chips. The fish was fine and very tasty. The chips were also of excellent quality. However, since I ordered a LARGE portion of chips, I only received a very small portion of chips. I would hate to see what a small portion was, if this was indeed a large portion.

Rip off! I ordered two pieces of fish and a large portion of chips. Whilst the fish was lovely, the amount of chips left a great deal to be desired. It was meant to be a LARGE portion: to me it looked like a small portion. Will definitely think twice before going there again.

Very good fish and chips. Opening times seem a bit odd. Clean, tidy establishment with nice staff. Fish and chips cooked well.

Got plain sausage, cheesy chips, mushy peas and a pickled egg for £4.50. Piping hot fresh fried, no messing about with the waiting time. Sat in and ate it as was staying in nearby B&B and unable to take to the rooms. Very polite and helpful staff. Definitely a good buy food on a budget.

There are seven chippies in March, but for me this is easily the best for value and quality. The generously sized haddock is perfectly battered and highly recommended, also less expensive than elsewhere.

I have used most of the seven chip shops in March, and frankly the haddock in this shop is the best of any local shop by far for flavour freshness and the crispness and finesse of their batter. Originally a chinese couple, I think, but much the nicest fish and chips in March in my opinion. My wife and daughter were also well pleased on a recent visit too. Not the flashiest, smaller than Stott's and in a less beautiful location than Riverside, for instance and in a less good location, but very well worth a visit if you really love fish and chips, especially haddock, which I consider superior to cod.
