Jimmy's Pop Up in Lambeth

I recently dined at BBQ Club, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The starters were a delightful beginning, with a variety of flavour that set the tone for the meal. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. We had a lovely waitress Afrata, who made sure we were looked after thoroughly. As well as head chef Heidi, who explained each dish and its origin. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for that bbq experience.

Never had a truffle burger in my life till I tried it at Jimmy's today. Safe to say it was the best burger I've had in my life!!

I recently had an incredible barbecue experience that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the smoky aroma of grilled perfection filled the air, and I knew I was in for a treat. The food was phenomenal perfectly cooked, tender meats with a smoky flavor that melted in mouth. The sides were equally delicious, each adding a unique touch to the meal. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any request. They offered great recommendations from the menu, and made sure our drinks were always full. Even though the place was buzzing with activity, they made us feel like the most important guests in the room. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to the whole experience. The combination of mouthwatering food and stellar service makes this barbecue spot a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Best staff and best atmosphere!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jimmy’s BBQ Club for their Tasting Menu. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. A beautiful balance of flavours cooked in front of our eyes on a Big Green Egg Bbq - truly crafting a unique experience right on the Thames riverbank! The plating of every dish was incredible - thanks so much Chef Mo! Our server Afrata was delightful - so friendly, chatty and ensured our drinks were topped up throughout the service :) It was a pleasure to speak with the Head Chef, Heidi, and the GM, Stacey, throughout the service. Would certainly recommend!

best burger i have had! if your coming to london, come here. walked in with no reservation and ordered and was served within 10 minutes. amazing food. beautiful view of the river with great choices of music to make it extremley enjoyable. would 100% come again. great prices as well.

Came for a tasting with my family for mums birthday. Great service. Alina and the Head Chef cooked and served us. Highly recommend. Only downfall was plastic cups.

Worst yet most expensive falafel wrap (£14 - double or triple the London average) I’ve ever had - pita was cold and not even freshly made (smelled acidic like preservatives). Otherwise just 4 average tasting falafels (meant to be made of butternut squash but tasted & saw no hint of that) with mountain of raw red onions and jalapeños. Little bit of sauce that didn’t taste of much. You’re better off at a proper Middle Eastern place with a £5-7 falafel wrap that is 100% fresh, warm, with more fillings and tasty sauce. Friend had the chicken which she didn’t like either, we sadly agreed this was one of the worst foods we’ve ever had in London. Maybe the dining experience is different but certainly wouldn’t recommend these specific dishes.

It’s reasonably priced alcohol for the area, pro tip. Just walk 5 minutes grab the food and sneak back 😉 i personally felt £12 for a burger was to much

Tried the 6 course tasting menu. Had a good time with friends, however, the experience would have been much better if the waitress didn’t look like she would rather be anywhere but there. Very unfriendly and clearly burned our chicken on the bbq. Pointed this out to her and apparently it was “supposed to be like that…”. Food lacked flavour overall, don’t think worth the price.

My friends and I went to Jimmys pop up yesterday for dinner and can’t recommend this place enough!,amazing food ,amazing service and all round a wicked experience filled with good vibes and even better food!,shout out to our server Jack ,he explained each dish so clearly and cooked it to perfection ,everytime our drinks were on the low side we were offered more and had constant refills of our water too,perfect summer night in London right on the river,made even better by the Head Chef Heidi’s choice in music,her knowledge on local produce and food was unreal!,if you haven’t booked a table get booking!!

While BBQ tasting is novel, and the dishes were tasty, it was similar to most tastings where you are still hungry at the end. Also not really any BBQ classics to enjoy. Drinks service was also slow

The worst vegan burger I have ever eaten. Impossible to bite the mushrooms and the bread completely cold. It’s just nice the location.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jimmy’s Pop Up! Each course was delightful, fresh, and delicious. The ambience of the tasting menu on the river is the perfect mix of elegant food in a summery laid-back vibe. You feel like you are being treated to supper by your friends on their riverside deck. Alina, our server, was adorable and sous-chef Tom was so kind and hospitable. If you are on the fence just book this; you won’t regret it!

No sense of queue order. Slow service. Poor etiquette. Totally avoid. To edit after the response from the owner. When I was at the bar there was 1 couple there whom came well after me, simply no excuses for careless service.

Nice location. Vegan burger description sounded delicious. However I got a very dry cheap white bun which ruined it completely. All that was left to enjoy was a couple of BBQ’d oyster mushrooms and slaw (which did have a nice flavour)

Second visit here and this time had the six course tasing menu, which was delicious! Really great experience as all cooked at your table which makes the whole thing interactive and each dish was explained while cooking. Every course was lovely, and the ingredients were all fresh and of high quality. Very fun night with great food, great views and great service - Highly recommend!!

Normal French fries for 5,50,- so a bit expensive . Nothing special. Good view tho.

I went 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend for the tasting menu had the head chef and a server called Sarah was a magical experience they explained all dishes and where they come from, would defo recommend!

Order OG Burger with fries, took a hour for the burger just to be burnt and fries weren’t done. Also order 3 drinks at once just for them to forget 2 and tried to make me pay again for the drinks I already bought.

What a great find! Fantastic spot along River Thames at Waterloo's South Bank. The food was really tasty and high quality. We ate from street food menu and the truffle chips and OG burger were delicious! Definitely want to go back and try the tasting menu but didn't have enough time on this visit. Went with my friends for some drinks on the way to the theatre, tried these amazing punchy cocktails-a new soda mix they have which were delicious. So great we even stopped by on the way back home for another one!

A Memorable Evening with a combination of an incredible setting, unforgettable food and the impeccable service provided by the staff. The venue has the ideal location and unobstructed view of the river. A great variety and diverse selection of dishes. Catering to different preferences and dietary restrictions. Coupled with being cooked right in front of you just enhanced the dining experience. The staff contributed to making the evening more special. We went for an all girls dinner and were met by a very friendly team and the most delicious food. We had the BBQ tasting menu and we enjoyed every course 😋 the location is great, overlooking the river and we were very lucky with the weather as well Definitely will come back!! highly recommended!🧑‍🍳😁

The location, on the South Bank of the River Thames is undeniably great but it is the amazing food - generous portions of sustainably sourced, best quality ingredients, freshly prepared (and part of which freshly cooked on the special egg grill), with excellent service that means I'm keen to go back - and take anyone and everyone who will come with me.

we booked an igloo for NYE and I have to say it was the best decision ever. They made everything possible for us and even picked us up at the entrance, when we had difficulties getting in. Food was AMAZING and service was impeccable. We had meat platters and fondue and oh, it was delicious. We were having so much fun with both waiters - they did an incredible job in not only bringing us everything we needed/wanted, but entertaining us as well. Our family is still talking about that night and the fun we had. Cheers to you and thank you for such an amazing experience! We will definitely be back!

We came here on New Year's Eve in conjunction with the London Eye fireworks. The service is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. A good mood and atmosphere was ensured with good music and fire pillars to warm up.

Great experience and unbelievable food!

We were a little dubious after reading some of the reviews but our server Kye was fantastic and we had plenty of food! We had the snow globe set menu and I had venison, steak, truffle fondue and lots of sides - new potatoes, bread, salad and charcuterie with pickles. Kye was very attentive checking we had enough drinks and more bread etc. But we definitely did not leave hungry. Relatively easy to hit the minimum spend with drinks and food. Would recommend as a fun night with friends.

Strange place. A good location and the fire is really cool. Bartender is really friendly. The other staff (east Asian guy) on site is very rude.

Very nice experience with the raclette. Unlimited raclette cheese and potatoes (for 90min), with charcuterie & bread + a drink + a dessert, all of that sitting next to the thames river with fire pits and blanket, for a decent price. Amazing.

We did the tasting menu with paired drinks as a birthday present - food was incredible and each dish was well thought out. Wine servings were very generous (we had to start asking for smaller glasses) Servers were watching 3 BBQs at once so sometimes things could have maybe been on for longer / less time, but they were knowledgeable and attentive nonetheless.

We got cocktails on a rainy day and went to sit in the undercover area, but were told it was for reservations only (despite nearly all the tables being empty). Drank the cocktails standing in the rain instead - not a pleasant experience.

We had an amazing night at Jimmy Pop up BBQ. Southbank on 7th July. We were lucky to have a table for two and weather was incredible. The Head Chef was unbelievably attentive and spent so much time explaining each and every dish. The food, every course, was delicious. Drinks were amazing. Will definitely try to go back this summer or try the winter pods out later this year.

Food had potential but was extremely difficult to eat and was made with zero care. Folks in the food truck looked annoyed that I was ordering from them and barely spoke to me or looked at me. Would not plan to return.

you have the smoke at you face during the whole meal. the dishes that arrive seam to be a fusion btw fine dining and bbq which does not work together. would not recommend. the chicken was tasteless and the beef was not good (too cheewy and full of nerves)

Wanted lunch before the theatre and found this. Not big on burgers, but WOW. So tasty and the sauce was amazing. Great value very quick service. Lovely varied options for seating. Thoroughly recommend.

What an expensive let down. A cocktail for £10.5 and it was litterally in a small plastic cup, the size that you get from a water machine for reference. The chips were hard so the wooden forks were a pain and just not nice. Rest of the food was mediocre too. Go somewhere else to eat, drinks, sure, but not the cocktails. The only good thing was the seating.

Where do I start. Having seen the great looking ads online and opting for 4 people to attend for my partners birthday, I paid upfront for the Fire and Fromage ‘all you can eat raclette’ deal…£140. Fast forward to the day following a reminder email to underline the fact that I’ve paid and should attend we make our way to town to find that Fire and Fromage had closed. No notification, no email, no text or call no notice what so ever. I’ve emailed twice and contacted through instagram with no response.

Went to the fire and fromage on a cold, damp evening. Certainly not the bougie experience they make it to be on IG ads. You’re sharing a large wooden table with others, shielded from the elements by plastic sheetings. The fire pits are away from you, so no atmospheric glow there. You queue up for the raclette, by the time you get back to the table, the cheese is cold and congealed. Our waitress was running around trying to do her job. The plate of cold cuts was measly and we chose to order a (rather pricey) second. Our personal fire oven was almost cold (3 poor ambers fighting in there to give a little heat) so the s’more experience was a little short-lived. Thank god we were all in a good mood and laughed through the whole disappointing experience.

Hi booked to go with my boyfriend and baby, got charged 70 pound, then read the reservation email stated that no children under 12! So I cancelled after few minutes, still no refund was issued, I sent 2 emails and no reply, I cannot see any phone number to call, hope I will get refund as that’s certainty not a good customer service and it s lot of money for me !

We came to Fire and Fromage a couple of days before Christmas. There was seven of us in the igloo (fits ten) and as we had the 4:30pm seating, the minimum spend amount was £450. The seating was for less than 2 hours so we did feel slightly rushed but the food came out quickly. We had a starter each (I had the pumpkin soup which was nice) and we then shared two fondues which came with mixed charcuterie and sourdough baguette and three steaks with potatoes and salad, which was plenty of food. They were hesitant serving us dessert (extra cost) due to the time restriction but they reluctantly gave it to us. I'd give dessert a miss though. Service was relatively efficient when required and friendly.

Fire and fromage was a fun experience - the food was good and the raclette was fun. Everything but the drinks and meats are all you can eat. The staff seemed a little flustered and informed us we got too much meat but let us keep it. It was very crowded, nearly shoulder to shoulder, to the point it was difficult to get out of the bench. You have to sit across from whomever you bring with you, you can't sit next to them, and it gets a bit loud. Our fire also needed stoking, it was basically just embers, but never did. That said, all the staff were very kind.

My booking was also moved due to a system error. We had amazing correspondence with Naomi who rebooked us and ensured we compensated ( in the form of alcohol, we weren’t complaining) :) It was cold on south bank but the big green egg we were sat next to kept us nice and toasty. The food was great, endless cheese and potatoes, meats and pickles. The s’mores were also a big hit. Staff were super friendly. Only down side is the toilets are a bit of a walk away.

Love this place. They upgraded us to an igloo and we got free drinks on top of the welcome drinks because of the england game excitement. Service was awesome. Food was awesome (fondue was super tasty!) and the drinks were great too. It was lovely and toasty on a freezing night. Loads of fun. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed! Booked and paid for 6 weeks ago, emailed 4 days before to be told they have overbooked so they have cancelled my booking! Too late for me to book elsewhere as 3 weeks before Christmas, NEVER AGAIN, CANT BE TRUSTED AND COULDNT CARE LESS WHEN I TRIED TO ASK THEM TO RECONSIDER!

Had an excellent meal at Jimmy’s pop up at Somerset House. The food and drinks were great and the service could not have been better. We were very impressed.

What a great experience we had. Our server, Abbey, was a legend! Everything was served to our table, apart from getting up to the raclette, which is bottomless! Super tasty and sheltered, so not cold at all, sitting by the Thames.

What a great place, on a winter night this is the place. The food is great, from potatoes and cheese, a selection of cold meats, salad and bread. With an open fire, not just for the atmosphere but to toast your marshmallows to build what I think is the best s'mores. Ps the potatoes, salad, and bread are refillable at no extra cost.

We had our first experience in an igloo last winter and had to book again this year! Officially an annual Christmas lunch - please never go anywhere!! Even better than last year. Great food and superb wine. Thank you for making a separate gluten free fondue as well!

The cookies for the s’mores were stale. It’s unlimited raclette and potatoes but the ratio to salad and charcuterie is so small for two people. It was also very confusing when we got there, we didn’t know what we needed to do, if it was table service or we had to go up and get it ourselves, this is something that should be explained to guests. We had to ask. I wouldn’t recommend.

Loved the fire pit and the unlimited raclette and potatoes! It’s really busy though and was overbooked on the night we came - they compensated us with free drinks for the evening which I appreciated! I took one star off because I didn’t enjoy the s’mores at all. (It was non traditional and just marshmallows and cookies). Otherwise great visit, they don’t rush you on time, serve you promptly, and met Jimmy as well he was a great host!

Had the £35 per person fire and fromage meal. Not sure if my expectations were unrealistic from looking at their instagram or if it’s just not value for money but I wouldn’t say the experience was amazing. You are squished onto a long communal table which they had over booked so despite a booking being a 90 min slot a lot of people were asked to move to the fire pits to finish their marshmallows or drinks before their time was up. You were given a plate of meats, a bowl of bread and a bowl of salad for the table if you wanted more you had to flag down a server and ask, additional meats came at a cost but the rest was free. To get the potatoes and cheese you had to walk along the narrow space behind the table up the front to get it, sometime having to queue, you were given four potatoes and a little bit of cheese at a time but you could go up as much as you liked. Desert was ok, two cookies and a single marshmallow each and two little jars of caramel and chocolate sauce to share. The servers didn’t really know what was going on. So yea it was nice but for £70 plus cost of drinks I don’t think I would be rushing back.

Just ridiculous. I was very excited to have raclette in London. But what a joke. The staff has no clue whats going on. (Seating arrangement a real mess and no direction on what to do). Then when you finally figure out you need to get up with your plate for the cheese, You have to get in long cue and by the time you sit, the cheese goes cold. I felt like i had to work for my food. If i want more than the included drink, once again i have to get up to the bar to order it. In France I would have had 4x the cheese (and warm) than here. Also i was never offered the included smores. My neighbors that were packed into to the table beside me (like sardines) had it because they had to ask. Just annoyed for the amount of money we paid.

We ate on the pop up`s 2nd day, very much in its infancy and its a great concept, stunning location, staff were great and it attracts some great clientele too. We made instant friends with the two parties sat alongside us. I LOVE the endless potatoes and bread and the raclette was beautiful - although we failed the challenge of more than three visits for more cheese! I will say, as its in its infancy, there are a couple of things that'll need attention. Firstly, the smoke builds up in the shelter and was blinding at times. Our eyes were bloodshot and we were off to the theatre after our meal and stunk out most of the stalls! It was so smokey we had to bag our clothes up as soon as we walked in the frontdoor that night (6 hours later) and shower before touching anything at home. If there was a smokeless burner/fuel that would be a huge benefit. Also, before booking we asked if this meal package was suitable for a vegetarian. We were told we could swap out the cured meats for veg and we'd be well looked after) That was lovely. We still got the bottomless potatoes and bread as standard. Lush. However, the marshmallows that formed part of the smores were not vegetarian and there was no alternative so it was just a biscuit for me (although these were proper lush). There was also some confusion over the definition of vegetarian and vegan as it was pointed out a few times that there was chocolate in the cookies! I loved that it was in its infancy and new to us but did feel as the first table, we were not given the whole experience - our mulled wine was served in paper cups where as the neighbouring tables had funky tin mugs! Overall, well worth a visit. We loved it. Couple of adjustments that we're confident will be made as they all seemed to really want to make sure our time there was the best it could be.

Lovely situation by skate park. Live entertainment! Logs replenished regularly, blankets and cushions a plenty, chatty mein host. A good experience, watching the world go by.
