Great food and service but there prices are going a bit high compared to others think it's time to go somewhere else.

I hate to leave bad reviews but we had food from here last week and it really wasnt the best. Ordered chicken in black bean sauce, the sauce was bland and the chicken was in big chunks that was a little slimy and chewy.

It's not a bad chippy in all. Chip's can be a bit dark at times, but if you ask for fresh, they will accommodate. Food is freshly cooked as you wait.

All the food is great.always have lovely food from here. Best Chinese around

Even better than I remembered. Great food. Freshly cooked. Really tasty.

Always get our chips after the rugby from here, always a great sized portion for the price, we ring in advance as it a large order of chips so they put extra in and there's no wait, great service.

Been using Jills since 2002. Service is patchy, ive had to check order before leaving recently. Of course I didnt on Thursday, and not only was the order wrong but the food was dreadful. Price rises are nothing new these days, but shes charging more for smaller portions of poor food

Bought Large fish with Large portion of chips very good

Check the prices before you order. The prices have increased but the main menu board hasn't been updated, and there are no signs mentioning the price increases.

They have a price board which is same as their takeaway menu. Some prices on a whiteboard stating prices as per menu board. Should have been under £16 charged £19.35 she said gone up 30p and prices are wrong. I said 30p per item, yes, that’s £1.20 overcharged at least £3.35 want cash no receipt. Will pass to trading standards.

A fantastic place for a lovely hot curry, well recommended. Staff are friendly and service with a smile 😃.

Quick service of freshly cooked meals that were delicious. Definitely our Chinese takeaway of choice.

All the food from Jill's is delicious. Amazing fish. And she is a lovely lady. Compliments to the chef also.

Got fish and chips the fish did not taste right atall. Tasted really mushy like eating a poached egg than a fish. I will not go there again

Top 1 Chinese food in St. Helens

Ordered curry w/chips, chicken nuggets & a scallop. The scallop was fine, the rest truly bad. The curry is a v mild sauce poured over the meat, the same sauce on every meat, the nuggets & chips were very greasy.

Really lovely food. The salt and pepper chicken and chicken fried rice are very tasty.

Bangin food always, pricey though these days 😕

Unusually there's no problem with the language causing any problems at all. I put my orders in and the place was absolutely chocker, plus people collecting phoned in orders. I waited around 30 minutes got home and enjoyed every tiny bit, that's one off for my family.

Very tasty meals,apologies to other customers.We had a shipping order for a birthday party,and it all got eaten.

Beautiful take away, reasonably priced and good quality food. Menu is typical Chinese meals. Only downfall is cash only

Had special chow mein tasted like someone put too much salt or soy in it, and the noodles were jet black. Normally they are very good but that was the worst meal I've had from there.

Chicken wings are to die for!! Sooooo good

The food is very good and reasonable prices for the amount of food however, a clean look is not on the menu. The staff uniforms are dirty and creased and the kitchen looks like it could do with a good clean and refurbishment.

I like this place but the lady who serves needs to learn to smile. They did a nice portion of hot and spicy chicken wings. Just please smile as we all have good and bad days

Jill's food you can't go wrong, very nice food I love the the Singapore Chow Mein and you get a decent amount. Special fried rice is a special of ours as well, they also take phone orders which is great because their always busy.

Good food. Good size portions. Long wait on food though, and very salty

The food is cooked fresh and plentiful. The barbecued ribs are to die for and lots of them. The fried rice and fried noodles are also great and loads of it.

first class takeaway and cheap too

Ordered 2 large chips, fried rice and sausages. Chips where awful, some cooked majority very hard undercooked chips. Not normally like this but today not good

Location of their seaweed and I have 100% witnessed this lmfao if you are not phased or are about to chow the intended goods DON'T READ THIS...... excellent choice for the kelp you aren't able to tell the difference between Seaweeds and Skankey V Canal weed's

Absolutely minging, chips are always burnt, peas are like lead pellets and fish are always way overcooked that you need a saw to cut it, used to be decent but sadly gone down hill fast.
