Fantastic ice cream and great customer service! We tried a few different things and they were all amazing! Creamy ice cream and light and fluffy waffles. Hot chocolate had a delish piped marshmallow topping. They have so much on their menu and everything is made to a high quality. Highly recommend!

I come here all of the time on my own with my newborn and take family when they visit. The desserts and ice cream are fab and I love how they experiment with different flavours. The current Christmas five spice tastes great! I always feel comfortable coming on my own with a newborn- never any issue with moving a table to fit my pram in. The place is impeccably clean- one of the cleanest places I visit to eat! Service has always been fabulous too- really friendly and helpful no matter who serves me. I know things are difficult with all the current price hikes for small businesses- please do come and support them! It is somewhere we should be proud to have and keep within our local area! I'm shocked it doesn't have 5 stars!

I've been to Jeffersons off and on since the first week it opened. I thought the owner would have changed the purchasing system by now, but it's still the same. I start enthusiastic and then get gritted teeth by the time I've actually ordered. my icecream. You have to decide what you want before you see it. Then get given a ticket (usually in a tight rammed queue at the door) and then move to a second queue and then get served, with a large plastic barrier and the staff (oh my there are a lot of them) and can't hear you over the din of screaming hyper tense kids - and parents. I've had it - it's not rocket science it's a shop. Just scoop and serve and pay - half your staff bill then too! The ice-cream was nice at the end and the flavours - very mild - innovative - but by then my teeth were grinding

I went in a few days ago to buy some tubs of ice cream to take away. This should have taken a few minutes, but ended up taking 15, because the only person serving seemed to think it logical to chat to the three people ahead of me while they dithered about which flavour of cornet to order. She could easily have said "I'll serve this customer while you guys think about it", but no, she had to talk them through the pros and cons of each flavour, meanwhile not having the courtesy to acknowledge memot even with a nod, let alone apologise. She was either very rude or a bit dumb - or possibly both. If the ice cream wasn't so good, I'd have walked out.

We were looking forward to dinner as a family in a restaurant with decent European food. Unfortunately they have changed the decor from what’s in the pictures to something much cheaper, which was a shame. Then we were presented with a Bar Menu for dinner with only burgers and sandwiches for dinner in a restaurant. Disappointed, we carried on and ordered the Chicken Burgers, one was burnt and one had the wrong sauce. They kindly took them back but then replaced them with what looked like the same burgers. The prices were also extremely high - restaurant prices for bar food! Unfortunately we won’t be back.

The restaurant is located directly on the Thames and has a circular floor to ceiling glass layout. The ground floor is essentially a coffee shop that serves meals and the first floor is a restaurant. An ideal place for a relaxed meal. Good food, friendly staff, and excellent views of the river. The breakfast pancakes are not to be missed.

Such a beautiful town! The castle is a fantastic experience, staff were so friendly and helpful. The displays were stunning and well displayed, lovely to see. We were on a tour so couldn't spend as much tie as we would have liked. Highly recommend, hope to come again.

Went for a birthday celebration. Our usual dining preference is a definite cuisine with homestyle cooking and no pretension. Once a year or so we do a fine dining option. She is vegetarian, I am less fussy. I am a good home cook, she works in the restaurant trade and we are sympathetic to current difficulties. We didn’t need to be so here; OK so I usually blench at the sight of a man tweezering food and waitstaff that serves the first course with “Let’s start our journey”,; it often signals a night of pretension and not much else, but this was excellent cooking and service to back it up. There is a £65 four course menu and a £85 tasting menu incl a veg option. We had the 4 course. Yes the portions are small, its not quite the ‘bag of chips on the way home’ scenario but its not gluttony either and ‘langoustine’ is exactly what it says. One langoustine, £15 additional option, doubtless because of the dab of caviar on the top of it, but it was the most perfectly cooked specimen I have ever had. They don’t travel well and often past their best before they arrive at a kitchen. The brioche melted in the mouth, the risotto was al dente but not raw and the parmesan crisp on top of it had obviously taken a lot of work, a sea bream ceviche was seriously fresh and beautifully balanced. The monkfish delicate and moreish. The wine list is expensive but that’s how it is these days – deal with it. The (presumably) head chef with the tweezers had obviously put in a lot of hard work in prep before he picked them up. Watching the kitchen staff in the open kitchen you saw zero macho heroics and a lot of surefooted care. The room wasn’t full all night and so I cannot vouch for the noise level past that, but mercifully no-one had turned up a ‘curated’ playlist. Service was attentive without being obsequious; you don’t usually get a recommendation for a Ukrainian ‘shots bar’ at the post dinner chat – we will check it out on a less refined evening. Really enjoyed it, you would be hard pressed to find better at this style of cooking and certainly not at this price level. Definitely worth a visit. Damn fine stuff.
