Jeffers Bakery and Cafe in Lisburn

Paid £4 for less than a portion of stew, that was in a plastic container sitting out under a light which I assume was to keep it warm yet it was cold in some parts, warm in others and covered in what I can only assume was grease/oil. The majority of it was massive bits of potato. I took it to go and was given it wrapped in a single layer of cling film which didn't stop the oily liquid from spilling out. Ate about two mouthfuls before I felt sick and couldn't eat anymore. Don't get me wrong, it tasted fine, but it was the texture, looks and uneven temperature that felt so wrong. Kept it as leftovers for today to see if my opinion would be different, by now most of the grease had been spilt all over my bag and shoes and I warmed it in the microwave, tasted the same and the texture was less oily, but it looked pretty much the same. The picture is from today. The staff are nice at least, but I didn't really appreciate how they let people with dogs in the place, seems sorta unhygienic, but that's just my opinion.

Called in yesterday, great scones. But toilets not opened to customers. Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you serve food and have seating you have to supply toilets and hand washing facilities. Not much fun when you take a break from shopping to get revived, drink a cup of tea or coffee with your lunch and find to have to go looking for toilets elsewhere.

Glad to see others see it for the poor quality disastrous service that it is. Poor representation of Lisburn an all round embarrassment

The tiny young lady was very rude and nasty to me. Firstly, she igonred me and then whem I said excuse me, she stared to shout at me. She said my husband qwns the place and refused to get him. DONT BUY FROM THIS STORE. THEY ARE VERY RUDE STAFF

I visited this cafe recently and found the owner manager to be extremely rude.This is no reflection on Jeffers bakery downstairs.This is owned separately.Food bland place was dead coffee was cold and extremely week.place looked dirty.No toilet paper in the toilet.

It was raining this day we decided to call in for a cuppa tea and coffee when got inside wow the the colours and size of the delicious buns so we decided we go on down for some hot food first and girl was so welcoming and friendly we got r food sat down in the we sitting area when finished went up and got a box of 4 delicious buns took them with us and ate them in car lol

Went here this morning with my partner for breakfast, we came here two weeks ago and even though the place was literally empty the food we had was lovely, the staff were very helpful, we decided to go back this morning and we were just flabbergasted at the difference, we ordered 2 mini breakfasts, it was the sadest looking breakfast ive ever seen, toast was cold, the bacon was hard and i couldnt cut it, my saugage was so overcooked i struggled to eat it the mushrooms were nice even though there were only 4 of them, overall extremely disappointing and again the place was literally empty, explains alot, nice staff though, get rid of the cook!!

Looks as if Jeffers cafe has been taken over by a new crowd. I had a toastie and coffee. I enjoyed the coffee but it took an age for the food to arrive which left me with cold coffee. Not a great standard of sandwich they could at least use decent granary bread it's not hard to get. Lisburn has much better cafes

Manchmal möchte man einfach eine Tasse Kaffee und was süßes, wie hausgemachte Kuchen. Hier geht es um eine Familien Bäckerei mit guter Vollkornbrot Sortiment, aber auch kleiner Kaffee Ecke und leckere traditionellen Kuchen und Keksen. Richtige Nerven Futter für das Einkaufen zum kleinen Preis.

I called in today to get a few bits of bread. I lifted from table iced fingers & wheaten bread which were already wrapped. As I approached the counted I noticed one member of staff who had long dark hair tied in a pony tail swirling her hair around & around with her right hand!! As I wanted a Veda which wasn't wrapped, the same woman asked me if I wanted anything else & I said a Veda plz. I was expecting her to Put on gloves but no she lifted the Veda & was about to give it to me!! I had to say No due to the circumstances I had just seen & I asked if the other girl could serve me. The older women who played with her hair then said to me "we take money & then lift the bread & money is stinking" Perhaps the owners should take this all on board & the staff should gloves when lifting in wrapped bread!!

Such wonderful baking that is now worth passing. I used to love to drop in here for something fresh and delicious, still fresh, but the café is just off awful.

Good selection of buns etc, which are very tasty and good value also :) my favourite has to be the cream iced finger, definitely worth a try!

We visited this upstairs café today and queued for 15 minutes to get some of the pie and chips which was displayed on the hot plate. For reasons which escaped us, even though we were standing in front of the server, with the food visible in front of us, the girl wrote down that we wanted pie and chips rather than serving it to us. At the checkout I was told I'd have to sit down and wait to have the food brought to me (no idea why they have a servery if everything has to be brought to the table). At this point we realised the there were many tables with people waiting to be brought food but no one seemed to actually be serving. We asked for our money back and decided to leave. On the way out we spoke to the manageress and explained why we were leaving. Perfect opportunity to say "I'll get you your food" but no. Indeed she didn't ever seem to see there was a problem. Unless you are prepared to queue, wait, pay, wait and then wait some more I'd give it a miss.

I love this cafe as it brings me back to when i was a child. great staff an great home baked goods! You won't regret going in!

I visited this refurbished café today for "Morning Tea". The waitress was friendly, "chatty", welcoming and very efficient. She answered all my questions, patiently, and promptly brought my order to my table. Café seating was comfortable and there was plenty of room. Hygiene seemed to be of a high order. I had gateau with ice cream - and a pot of tea. Attractively presented and appetising. The atmosphere was very relaxing - with quiet "mood" music playing in the background. I sat quietly reading for half-an-hour and there was no pressure to vacate my table. Jeffers Home Bakery is just below the café; it has an excellent reputation in Lisburn. Recommended for breakfast, lunch, morning/afternoon tea.
