Jeera Spice in Leeds

We ordered takeaway from here for the first time last night and I can't believe we haven't tried it before now. Everything we ordered was so good! This is definitely our new go-to place. All the food was fragrant and so tasty. The portions were generous and the price was spot on. It was all really lovely but particularly loved their garlic rice which was the best I've ever had!

I normally eat in the restaurant which cannot be faulted. This time I tried a takeaway. Very nice, the food is as nice as eating in. Well recommended

3rd time I've gone for food and super happy yet again. The quality of the food is superb and the weekday offer is excellent value. First time I went for the Chingry Jool (King Prawn), it was absolutely outstanding....one of the best curries I've had in years. Staff are super friendly and made the experience better. Popular local restaurant and takeaway. The banquet menu is popular, and good value for money. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. It would be advisable to book as it does get busy.

Ordered lamb and got chicken, would have re ordered if they had decency to notify they were out of lamb or something, then started to eat the chicken karahi to get half way into it and nearly choke on something nearly being sick to pull out a cat whisker, took a closer look at the food to find 2 more, dirty, tramps place needs shutting down, will be saving the food for the environmental health

I was visiting my family in Morley and we decided to eat in at the Jeera Spice, we was definitely not disappointed, service was excellent , polite and with a cheerful smile and the food was excellent too. We ordered several different dishes inc. Pickle tray, Chicken Madras, lamb Madras, chicken corma and a variety of side and rice dishes to complement the mains. A good selection. Everything was perfectly cooked to order and extremely flavorsome, perfect! The restaurant is small and well managed. I will definitely return upon my next visit to see my family in Morley. See you again.

I ordered an hour before they closed and they never turned up but charged 40 pounds online it's so disgusting I will never order from them again

Have had a couple of visits to Jeera Spice Indian restaurant. The mid week special is good value, £14 for a starter, main and a side of your choice. Must be a populsr choice as The restaurant was nearly full.The pickle tray was nice, you only get 1 poppadom per person, if you want any more you have to pay. The mixed sizzler starter was a good in portion size, pieces of chicken tikka would be good to have on this. The curry lacked complex flavour. Overall is good value.

Where do I start! My boyfriend and I had a takeaway from here for the first time and we are blown away! Firstly, we ordered a lot of food and not a single thing missing. The food quality was absolutely top notch! It tasted amazing, you could tell straight away the food was made fresh. The starter for 2 was gorgeous, so much flavour! So authentic! The naan and chapatis were so well cooked and complimented our curry perfectly. The rice was fluffy and delicious! Secondly, delivery. We was looking forward to it so it felt like it took forever however, it arrived within its promised time, considering it is Eid as well, I am very impressed! The delivery driver was friendly and professional! Overall, Jeera Spice has been the ultimate Indian take away experience, with its outstand food, speedy service and friendly delivery. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is a Indian food lover as it is just beautiful! Thank you Jeera Spice!

I absolutely adore Jeera spice it’s the most beautiful food and amazing service ever! I have never had a reason to complain but tonight I had a very bad experience with the delivery driver, but the owner and staff dealt with it instantly and amazingly, they gave me an instant refund and sincere apology and because of this I will continue to order from them as this is the first bad experience I have ever received and this was an issue with the delivery driver only and they were quick to resolve the issue. Thank you guys! Their Chingri fantasy is amazing and I wish I had it right now 😩 these guys go above and beyond always!

Worst starter and mains I have ever had. Starters soggy and burnt. Will never use again.

The staff was so friendly everything was proper bang on. They do there own chilli sauce which i highly recommend it was so nice. I got the lamb tikka balti and omg the lamb was perfect the chips rice the curry as a hole was so perfect i would certainly try this place i would definatly give it 10/10 very nice place

If your going to have the cheek of sending out the food you do and the prices you are charging then you deserve to be called out. The prices have really increased and the quality has gone down unfortunately. Sending out 'chicken pakoras' full of grease and look at the state of them on the photo with half a chip with them from your fryer. Batter all wet and just soaked with grease. Pilau rice which we ordered and you have sent pilau mixed with boiled. We can guess why. Poppadoms sent out all broken , not one full one or even half a poppadom. Chips, barely a handful. We had items missing also which we had to ring up about and not a single apology. And when we got the items we was still missing the right ones. The issue is, you are happy to send out items like this and the customer to just put up with it and it really isn't cheap. You deserve to be called out on it because this isn't the first time with poor quality and missing items and the fact you couldn't apologise or make up for any of it has made me write this review as its time and time again. You look at it and send it out thinking it's acceptable and it's not. If your busy and don't have the time then just explain to the customers it's going to be longer and send out the right quality and correct items. We would rather wait and get something of quality for the money spent. I'm sorry but for the price I think things need to be a bit better and you need to make more of an effort. We have given you the 3 stars as the curry was good but as for everything else I wouldn't order any of it in the near future.

We ate in the other Sunday and the food was fantastic I had a mixed kebab and a chicken tikka madras with a garlic nan it was bloody lovely, the guys that run it front and back of house are great 👍

Great service, even went out and bought ice as we requested it. The food was unbelievably nice, great flavours very tasty and plenty of meat. Prices were cheap for such great quality food! Will definitely return.

Four of us went here Wednesday evening, had a great meal, four different starters, four different main courses and sundries, not to mention the pickle tray and popadoms all excellent, very tasty with great service, and value for money on the banquet deal 👍

Had the lamb Rogan Josh and it was fantastic, especially with the warm, tasty naan. The chicken chat was amazing.

Bad meal from here tonight and wasn't particularly enjoyable . . With regards to "Barry's chips" , iv got no idea why an indian takeaway would call them Barrys chips in the first place other than that being the name of the deep fat fryer they use to cook them in . Absolutely no other significance whatsoever. "Gu on lad jus bang em in' Barry init " Otherwise usually quite nice from here .

Been spast here for a few years now. Never been in or ordered a takeaway. Thought give it a go. Went in and was greeted fine by waiter. As only 2 of us was given a table for 2 next to the door. Which is expected as if a party of 3-4 came in then we weren't taking a larger table up. The thing is a table for 2 is really a table for 1. When you have rice, main course and nans for 2 with glasses and drink leaves little space. Food was good. Mixed starter for 2 which we order was a bit disappointing. Had the smallest chicken legs we've ever seen. Main courses lovely. Main issue was the amount of flies, had to keep swatting them from our food and drinks. Looking around they were on the walls as well. Main door was permanently open, being close to the trees over the road from the park then not sure if that was a major factor for the flies So atmosphere was a little low due to flies from our perspective. Seems a shame as would like to see what other foods on the menu are like. Shame as don't think we are in a hurry to return.

Had the early bird meal great value and very tasty the staff are very polite and helpful bring your own alcohol soft drinks available

Good food at a reasonable price, and excellent service

Good service. Very good meals generally speaking but went the extra mile for my wife. She much prefers Biryani with an omlette on top. Not many restaurants do it but Jeera Spice did upon request. Really made my wife's night. On the down side they missed opportunities to upsell, didn't ask if we wanted a desert or coffee. Good visit will go again.

Pretty quiet when we went but the service was good & the food fantastic. This is an unlicensed restaurant but you can take your own wine, beer etc in if you want, they do serve soft drinks though. Since going we've ordered a few take outs & they have been excellent too. Highly recommended :)

Used to be better. Ordered a delivery. The garlic nan had no garlic in it, & I'd requested no green pepper in anything (due to allergies)..both dishes had green pepper in. Not great.

That food wad spot on the Mangsho Biryani was so good flavour was 10/10 definitely get ordering worth every penny

I love this place. Every curry can be made veggie and you can ask for an Asian one with nothing sweet. I am not big on curries but I do like it from here. The staff is very, very nice. They don't sell alcohol but have no problems if you bring your own. I don't drink but think it is nice they do this and very inclusive, as many people like a drink with their meal. A lovely, lovely place.

The staff were respectful and helpful. They were very quick to clear the tables once we were finished. Good honest food at a good price! Excellent!

I went here for the first time on a night out with hubby. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was tasty and we got exactly what we asked for. The reason I have given 4 stars for the food and not 5 is purely on me not the restaurant. I ordered something different and it wasn't quite to my liking. The dish itself tasted nice though. Used to be best curry house in Morley! - not sure if they’ve got new owners or changed chef, but the last couple of times I’ve been it’s been extremely poor.

They need to update their menus as they brought the wrong dish out and then claimed its because they no longer do the dish I wanted. Not once did they check with me though. Other than that the food was lovely. They could dim the lights though, it's very bright. Toilets still need to be better

Popped in here last night before the Leeds match. Bargain 3 course dinner, all beautifully cooked. The maitre d was very attentive.

Since we have never had food from this restaurant, we asked them to recommend us curries. The chicken curry was so sour that there was no other taste. The dhal has no flavor whatsoever. (No salt even). We had "Sizzler For 2" from the menu, again no flavor whatsoever. Finally had paratha and Naan and Paratha was decent but Naan was like eating bread. I hardly leave bad reviews as I love food even if they are slightly less salty but as a whole everything I had was not good at all.

We have not been here for 5 years, still owned by the same family. The food was excellent, the service was very good. Most importantly was the ladies toilet was clean means alot. I would recommend it

Great taste food never disappointed

Takeaway treat. The fish pakora starter was inedible. You expect a pakora to have nice crisp batter and fresh appearance and taste. It didn't have either. It was extremely soggy and swimming in fat., which I couldn't get past. The main was also swimming in gee and not pleasant. This was the mint mangsho moss special. A mutton dish with small chunks of meat. Will not be going back.

Food is always good only this time I found an foreign object in my food. Tried calling the restaurant but no reply. Can someone contact me about this please. Otherwise I’ll have to report it the council.

Had a really nice night, we got 7 banquets at £11.95 per head which is great value for money, I had prawn butterfly which was slightly overcooked but still nice and for my main a Chicken Shashlik which was beautiful, would go again.

After 2 hours still no order, phoned and was rudely told website issue and wasn't their problem even though they had taken my payment. Never again

The food was okay, The service was good unfortunately from the moment we walked in the restaurant there was an awful smell. Like there was bad plumbing, drains and toilets smell and for that reason I won't be going again the smell was too over powering.

The best takeaway that I had in years.. Excellent quality and great taste...The shami kebabs are amazing and the chicken madras is fantastic... Brilliant

We went for a lovely evening which ended up like a disaster. We started off really nicely, ordered a poppadom each and a couple of starters which were okay, but meat in them was dry and not the greatest. We then were looking forward to the main courses which sounded really appetising. The waiter came out with the food and as he was approaching our table he dropped the curry bowl right on the table which then splashed all over the walls, ceiling and our clothing including wine and phones. We were a little shocked and confused, but the only thing the waiter was bothered about was the walls!! The other guests offered us wet wipes, whereas the guy didn’t really do anything apart from taking the curry back to be replated! WE HAD to ask to be seated elsewhere. We decided to stay and just acknowledge the accident and keep it cool with jokes but then we received the bill which we queried only to be told we were looking for a bargain!! Other people in the room said we shouldn’t pay a penny but we still felt like we should and wanted to do so, but an apology would have been so much appreciated. Instead we were verbally attacked by the young man defending himself saying it was an accident and accidents happen so we should pay the full price! Then he turned around and said he’d knock £1.20 off poppadoms. We genuinely felt humiliated, paid, got up and left. Other people inside felt equally embarrassed for us. What a shame, will never be going back.

We have been coming here for years and we personally don’t think you can beat this place for taste, we have tried many other Indian restaurants by far this is the best, ok it’s small and the toilets need a lick of paint but the food is great.

Lovely little Indian resturant with great tasting dishes. Very well priced. They also do takeout and delivery service too.

We ordered a takeout for movie night with friends. The service was fast and friendly, and theres plenty of choice on the menu with some really interesting and unique specials. Spicy in the the right dishes, and fresh spicy, not the lazy sort of spicy you sometimes end up with. Portion sizes were huge, and everything was fresh and hot. Things I'd have liked to see more of; bigger salad portions and more generous servings of pickles/sauces.

Visiting Leeds and needed an Indian meal, picked Jeers and very glad that we did, fast pleasant and efficient service, our meals were fantastic.

We’ve tried almost all the local Indian restaurants and this is our local ‘go to’ for Indian food. I tend to order takeout, and the food is always piping hot on arrival. It’s very rare, but a couple of times we’ve had things missing off our order, but the staff have been nothing short of helpful and apoligetic and they sent the remaining food out pretty swiftly. Would definitely recommend
