Jaya's German Donner & Desserts in Inverclyde

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this takeaway shop, primarily due to serious hygiene issues. When I received my order, I noticed that the packaging was not clean, and there were visible stains on the containers. The food itself didn't seem fresh, and I found hair in my meal, which is completely unacceptable. The condition of the shop itself also raised red flags when I went to pick up my order. The kitchen appeared disorganized and not properly sanitized, which made me question the cleanliness of the entire operation. For the sake of health and safety, I strongly advise others to avoid this place. Hygiene should be a top priority in any food establishment, and this shop clearly falls short.

Food came 40 mins late. The ingredients that was in the burger was not there. The burger was tough itself. Never got my glass Pepsi max bottle. Donner was rubbery. And the salad looked like it was days old.

When you’re sweet tooth gets the better of you and the delivery driver has a few deliveries in your area so you get it earlier than expected is always a bonus :)

Our orders were completely wrong my mom ordered a Scottish tablet sundae with toffee sauce instead they have her a coconut sundae with toffee which she hates. I ordered a vanilla Sunday with chocolate sauce and I instead got vanilla and brownie icream. I want a refund U completely ignored the order.

Food was rubbish and too pricy

Ordered online from their own website and over an hour and a half later when I contacted them...... surprisingly they never had an order from me ? How can you order from their own website and they dint get it , money was out my account withing 15 seconds.... stand by for an update to find out how long it takes to get it back ??????. Absolutely shocking , had the gumption to ask my order to sort it when I was o the phone gave order number and everything from their own site and the app yet they said they had nothing ... be advised they have no customer service skills and hangup on my . Jokers Ordered online from another shop and was advised it would be with us within 40 minutes

I ordered a Seoul Fried chicken which is one of the 5 food places that operate out of jayas German donner. I assume they are all under different names as some ploy to collect more delivery money. Nonetheless I order at about 4:30. For a start the food was late saying it would arrive between 17:15 - 17:30, it came at 6:15 but I didn’t think anything of it. Until I discovered that my order was wrong. After going on the phone, hungry, agitated, I was asked a series of questions about my order. The questions took me a few minutes to convey to the employee before he passed the phone to his co worker who proceeded to ask me all the same questions that I was just asked. I appeared to be in Groundhog Day or was I just hallucinating from the hunger. They finally agreed to redeliver the correct food after a long and hard language barrier obstructed phone call. I decided to tuck into my incorrect order to tide me over only to discover the my 4 chicken strips were not lukewarm, but actually freezing. Are they flung back in the freezer after cooking? The chips where still warm so where they even cooked/ heated up at all? I ate them nonetheless because I was absolutely ravenous and waiting an additional 2.5 hours and I think you can guess what happens. My food is still not here. I phone up again go through the whole cycle of questions before the phone being passed again to be asked the same questions. Again. Only for them to say that the chef says it’s impossible I received chicken strips because he hasn’t made any. I told them I have photographic evidence to which they replied something along the lines of ‘it’s not our problem you must contact just eat.’ Do not give money to this absolute joke of an establishment the reviews speak for themselves. I don’t know how the place is still on business. Oh wait i do, it’s because it’s the only place open at 2 in the morning and so you settle for it. I think I’ll need a visit to fraggle rock after this brain scrambling experience.

Ordered a crepe and chocolate cake previously and was good, however no crepe available this time, so I ordered a chocolate pizza. The box was flooded with chocolate sauce, the crusts of the pizza were drenched in it. Difficult to pick up to eat. Chocolate tasted like an extremely watered down Nutella or off-brand Nutella sauce. Base of pizza was more like a pancake-meets-naan-bread consistency, rather than a pizza dough base. Wouldn’t buy that item again.

Food was good and delivery was quick. Sauce on the hoggie was a bit minty but other than that was all pretty good

I enjoy a Jayas but price is getting too much for a product that doesn't increase so tonight's order will be the last

My chips and cheese didn’t not taste right and when I looked closer I found mould on the food after that I didn’t trust that the rest of the food would be okay so I had to bin everything will not be ordering from here again

This places reviews does not do it justice ! Every time i have ate from this place ( and it’s been close to last orders ) the food has been absolute spot on . Puts so many places to shame . Honestly Amazing .

Ordered the waffles and to date they were the best ones yet fluffy on the inside a little crispy on the outside, haven’t ordered for ages because I’ve had some poor orders in the past but everywhere else was shut, if the quality was this good all the time I wouldn’t go elsewhere

I've been ordering from here for a while and I'm currently 8 months pregnant been using them my full pregnancy tonight I was made extremely anxious after I tried to order and I explained several times to the male on the other end and he still wasn't getting the order. I repeated in a different way and it still didn't work till it got to the point I had to cancel due to my anxiety being too high to continue it's a shame because I really liked this place for things and now I feel to anxious to go back

Ordered a large BBQ kebab and received a chicken tikka wrap. The owner was adamant that what we got was a kebab and a tortilla wrap is pitta bread. AVOID 💯

All the meat was overcooked and dry. The ice cream they sent had literally gone off and tasted foul. Everyone who ate the food became very ill. Tried to get a refund but was refused. I do not recommend eating here.

i love the churros from here but when you order more than one ice cream it’s never correct ! shame as this place can be good should read orders correctly

Did not got wat I sked for I asked for à burger and chips and came home to chips plus I payed for a calzoni which I didn't recieve I came home to chips and a burger withsalad that I had asked not to be added 🙃

Would never use again order mixed German donner on German bread took twice as long for sldelivery only to receive cold and on a wrap not bread and when called for my money back I was told no i orderd the wrong thing because they had no bread so that meant I orderd the wrong thing terrible experience will NOT BE BACK

Ordered a chicken kebab and got a unknown meat in broken pita bread mess with chips under cooked. I guess it was lamb but couldn’t be sure. Worst kebab I’ve ever had. 🥲

This place is not German for starters and the so called gourmet burgers are just two flat American style pates with sauce and salad that's days old first time I've tried here and it'll be the last a chicken burger that turned out to be turkey on a dry roll with no sauce and frozen chips from Iceland up the street food is well below average for the town centre my nephew could cook better in his plastic kitchen

So much of our order were missed out, none of the desserts are what they say they are, just disappointing if I’m being honest, don’t go here if you wanna keep your money.

Not impressed what so ever ordered desserts had 2 ice creams missing I have the order screen shotted and pictures of the order received , I phoned up soon as I received the order was told they would send out another 2 and did not . I will be phoning tomorrow to collect my money or I will be going to the shop.

Usually like this place as it's one of the few places in Scotland which serve chicken donner. However, has steadily gone downhill and today this is how we received our chips...melted on to the polystyrene (what you see on the pictures isn't paper...it's melted polystyrene). Packaging absolutely unfit for purpose and should be a massive health concern.

Just googled German mixed meat donna,,,, definitely not what I got from Jaya's hardly any meat even less chicken loaded with chips and cheese under meats to give impression big heavy portion,,,definitely wrong bread, so it's back to Chinese for us,,very disappointed 😞😔😑😒

2nd trip to here as first time was lovely a while back. So birthday dinner and sit by the water, I was a happy women.

The food is amazing but the portions are not great either need to lower prices or up the portions. Would be the best kebab shop in greenock with bigger portions.
