Taco Bell in Inverclyde

Despite being the only customers, it took a while to find a clean table and a few chairs. Service was slow as the 3 staff were preoccupied with their phones whilst wearing blue gloves. Even the service counter needed a wipe.

Visited today for the first time. Very friendly staff. The hall is clean and there are no extraneous smells. I liked the food, very fast service

Place is filthy tables not cleaned, toilets are disgusting no hand wash, no toilet roll, toilets need a really good deep clean with strong bleach🤦🏻‍♀️ Place is always empty so why is the place not being maintained? Staff just stand about on their phones or just stand talking amongst themselves while customers wait for service!!

horrendous experience here tonight, placed an order for click and collect and waited over 20-25 minutes for it to go to the counter, asked a member of staff (after waiting another 10 minutes to get their attention) to eventually be told that its been sitting in a bag ready the whole time, why the number wasn’t on the ready screen or called out i don’t know, not an apology from them or an offer to be reheated/remade, got home and it was inedible and practically frozen. avoid here at all costs, never once received an order without some sort of hassle and will be my last time going, horribly understaffed, they walk back and forth by the counter and completely ignore you, food has gotten worse with every visit, don’t waste your money.

My daughter put an order in a few nights ago. She phoned first to ask why plant based meals listed as unavailable. They said they weren't sure and are possibly stopping vegan now. On checking menu, she found a plant based option so phoned TB again to query this and was told this was a mistake. As it was late in in the evening she decided to order a vegetarian meal via just eat. 50mins later, TB cancelled her order. Total disgrace. Only other place open for food was McDonalds, so she had to order from them. No reason given for very late cancellation. Prior to this, she had recently, put in a large order from TB. When it was delivered, more than half the items were missing. She phoned TB who said she would have to reclaim via Just Eat even though they had made the order up. Given all this, safe to say, none of our family will be ordering food from Taco Bell anymore.

First Taco Bell I have been to in the UK. Food was ok reasonable for price Service - you get neglected if you make the mistake of actually going inside. They only seem intetested in The Drive thru and deliveries. Reasonably clean

foods ok though not enough meat in tachos. badly understaffed. they don't take cash so obviously don't believe people are entitled to freedoms. not the workers fault, its high up management that's the problem. one person covering the whole shop on a Sunday its greed on there part. I won't use again. only paid this time for the kids sake.

Ive been to the Greenock Taco Bell on a couple of occasions now, as I'd never been to one before.The first time was absolutely brilliant and a couple of weeks later not upto the same standard. I think its down to who is working on the day/night.The second time,Burritos just full of sauce that came on a black greasy tray.Its as if they had just wiped the tray with water,and you know what happens then,it makes it worse.Il go back a third time,but anything wrong they'll be getting told....again!!!

Love Taco Bell and so do other people! Just need more staff to cater for all of us😅

2 stars overall and the stars are purely based upon the food. When dining out at high end or fast food restaurants you would like to think that clean tables are a given. I'd also like to think that one of the 3 members of staff could lay there mobile phones down f or 5mins to scoot round the place to wipe tables... After finding a semi clean table the food was fairly decent. The food prep viewing area windows could also do with a clean along with the food prep area.....

No hot drinks ! Ordered a pepsi max and churros. The churros were brick hard. Music in the seating area was different to that behind the counter !

This was without a doubt the worst thing I have eaten, Ever. I can't even call it food. It was tasteless scraps forced into a tasteless wrap. And at £1 it would have been overpriced but I paid £4.89 for it. I should have gone next door to KFC.

Good food, good price compared to other takeaways options ie. Mcdonalds and kfc.

Sometimes it's the best thing you've ever tasted. Other times you can tell that the cooks have no idea what Taco Bell is supposed to taste like or half the toppings are missing. Depends who is on I guess..

We came here for some lunch Had the chalupa meal. Was good For fast food & was better than some places we have been to in greenock

Food was good fresh and hot however I was not happy with because but they didn’t give one of my meals I ordered! Sadly I couldn’t prove it because the self order screen didn’t give me a receipt. I didn’t want to make a big scene… I was very disappointed.

Food was great 👍 staff were friendly and helpful, place was clean. It was well priced I would come back .

Went in for a quick lunch after some shopping around town. I ordered a quesadilla meal along with churros. The service was quick and all staff were pleasant and accommodating. The resteraunt was kept tidy which made for an overall enjoyable quick lunch.

Been in taco bell in loads of locations this particular branch is the worst. Firstly they tell you there's no sit in as there closing 2.5 hours before they do. They then give you a takeaway and you pay 99p for a 1/4 full tub of sour cream upon asking for it to be filled you are told this is the portion. I eat in taco bell all the time I bought 6 dips in total that day they were all different. Order a box meal and don't get all the items it comes with IE the churros that are always included go back again and ask for them looked at like I'm a thief. Really 2 churros I will not visit the brand again which is a shame as me and my family used them in locations all over the UK and have enjoyed them but I feel that this this branch experience has ruined it for me

Enjoyed the meal Double taco thingy and cherry coke.Was quiet when I was there; most folk having take away. Quite bright inside- pretty big windows.

I've always wanted to try a taco, and as we stumbled across this Taco Bell in Greenock, we had to try one. I had a crunchy taco supreme, with chips with nacho cheese sauce. It was very nice too, although there wasn't a great deal of it. If I was properly hungry I'd get two.

Generally good food but the place isn't well maintained. Toilets are awful, tables always have stains. Went in bang on at opening time, first customer of the day, and there was a tray that must have been left from the day before on one of the tables. Staff are generally friendly.

This was my first visit to Greenock, doing a bit of extras work for a well known TV show. Knowing it was potentially a long day ahead of me, I stopped in at the local Taco Bell (believe it or not, this was actually my first ever experience of one). It was quiet so I was served and seated within five minutes! My weapon of choice - the Crispy Chicken Burrito, served with Seasoned Fries, a Diet Pepsi and my so-called chaser, the Beefy Nacho Cravings Burrito (off the value menu). Thoroughly enjoyed it all, the Burritos (in particular the Chicken one) being the obvious show-stopper. Expense wise, it was about standard for what you’d pay for fast food. However, it felt and tasted fresher - not as much guilt attached to it as it was grease free and packed with some goodness.

Taco Bell comes with a big reputation from across the pond but it doesn’t quite live up to the hype. Tried the bean, chicken and beef burritos along with seasoned fries. The flavours were competent but the portion sizes and quantity of filling are quite paltry. Similar in quality to the usual fast food suspects, it has novelty factor but not value for money. Fire sauce was a nice accompaniment but it needs to offer a lot more to make any kind of positive lasting impression and get me back

Great restaurant chain, I love Taco Bell, it's in a nice easy access area and Great parking and close to other stores and the town centre, on this occasion I got the quesadillas which were disappointing but have eaten various other foods there before such as burritos and tacos which are excellent.

Wraps where sloppy, food warm not hot, all the meals just chucked together on one tray with no boxes, no cup lids. Depressing atmosphere. Disappointed considering the one in Glasgow was so good.

I am in complete agreeance with 1 of the other reviews. Got 3 adult meals and barely a portion of meat between the 3 of them. Food was look warm at best and that was me picking it up at the stated time. This restaurant has seriously got to buck up its ideas and portion sizes or there's every chance it will be closed before the end of the year. The volcano burrito had slightly more meat than the other 2 meals I had but not enough to buy anything from it again.

Love taco bell but don't you think when you get a delivery they should have the tacos seperate in tubs so the taco she'll dosent go soggy

It seemed my order was short ,despite asking the drive through assistant if it was complete he reassured me it was (almost scoffingly I may add) I was short of all fries when I got home total order (36 odd) phoned manager who offered 3free meals with dessert but as it was festive period I did not get into collect the offer until mid January and was told they were unaware of managers offer still awaiting free meals

Having ran food buisnesses myself, I am aware of the health & safety procedures and hygiene (HACCP) FOOD MANAGEMEBT SYSTEM and have done courses with regards this, my opinion of taco bell Greenock is that it is a hazard. The place was filthy, not a clean table in site, toilets where disgusting and the food was thrown in a paper bag any old way, upon looking into the bag noticed missing items and the items that was there was not even a good temperature as even the half a bag of fries where cold. I have lived all over the world and started eating taco bell back in the 90s and can categorically say I have never come across such filthy slop, I will not be back, word of advise to owners,directors and managers, re train staff on all aspects of food handling and general hygiene, I know it is a fast food service but if you compare this branch to you're linwood branch and others, you will see a massive difference in hygiene, staff and food portions. This review is not to slander this buisness but to bring great attention to seniors that this is no way acceptable food hygiene and requires radical change ASAP.

Clean soulless restuarant seems set up for drive through i sat in. It has no mexican or texmex atmosphere food is very poor version of this menu, have tried a few units of this chain this was very small portions not warm and very poor version

I recently bought the "Volcano Burrito" cravings meal-deal from this branch. Considering it included a burrito, taco, fries, a drink & churros for £6.99 it appeared, on paper at least, to be a good deal. Unfortunately when i considered the measly portion of fries i got in a paper pouch, the taco with a barely noticeable sliver of beef & the burrito that was mostly wrap, cheese & sauce with barely a hint of meat, that notion soon evaporated. That's before i mention the hard & brittle churros that came with an unpleasant clear caramel sauce that seems to have replaced the tasty dulce de leche they used to use. The food, as it is, is quite tasty but they need to work at portion sizes, freshness & at least making sure it has at least a passing resemblance to it's images on the menu.

Sadly, our second visit was not as enjoyable as the first (see other review). The food was good, as usual. But the toilets were pretty awful; so bad that they were unusable. Toilet seats were broken and the toilets filthy. No paper in some of the toilet roll holders either. What went wrong?

Delicious tacos and fries. Good value for money. But the toilets...people "why"? It doesn't work at all.

We dined in- ordered different things and result was mixed. Some items were lukewarm only, while the salad seemed to have been just taken out of the fridge. Some items were good. I felt staff need to maintain quality

I like the food at Taco bell when its served at the right temperature. However its mostly just mildly warm even though I specifically ask when I order it to make sure it's hot. Ive tried both Linwood and Greenock stores with the same happening at both. Staff dont seem to care about heating the food properly. After this week I give up on Taco Bell completely. I will never go back. Have completed the Talk to the bell surveys every week and nothing has changed so that doesn't work either. After 4 months of weekly visits with 9 out of 10 meals served cold, I've had it!!!

Easily the worst take away i have ever had. Shocking portion size, food was cold, took over an hour delivery, forgot drinks and sauces. Never again. Avoid at all costs.

Visited the restaurant tonight as a treat for the kids. The food was good, as expected from a Taco Bell, however the restaurant was a mess, dirty even. Most tables were not wiped down, chairs all over the place, tbh the place looked in disarray. The sauce and juice stands looked disgusting. There was only one other table with dinners, and three staff, who appeared just to be hanging around behind the counter. To me, they could have been cleaning and sorting the restaurant floor to provide a better customer experience.

Been here a few times now, minced beef feels like it's spongy and not quite 100 real, tacos will leave you still hungry, there's more meat on a butchers pencil

Nice, new set up but had a few orders that have been mixed up and the tables could have done with a wipe down the time we sat in. Never get much meat in the tacos but that seems to be the same at any taco bell. The food is nice though, just needs a little more attention to detail.

Enjoyed a great meal here, was pleased to have my student card honoured by pleasant and friendly staff. Fast food style service but food was lovely and good value.

Made large order of different foods and all of the items came in the same bags and not labelled.

Fab meal however one of the bags of chips and wrappers were covered in caramel from one of the caramel pots

Slow service, disappointing food

First time I’ve ever been to a Taco Bell. Place was dead but that’s ok. 2 of the self service machines weren’t working. 1 wasn’t printing receipts. Food was tasty enough but really small wraps and portions, and it wasn’t that hot. Food was warm. I would give it another go and try something different, but the fact I’ve come hunting for reviews after I’ve been says it all really. I was on the hunt to see how the food usually is

Clean restaurant with efficient and friendly staff

Visited recently, twice when going on trips down the West Coast. The food was okay, but the restaurant was absolutely filthy. Food debris on most table and the floor! On the last visit witnessed a female member of staff wiping food from the table with her bare hand, no attempt to sanitise the area at all! The staff at this unit don't even attempt to get to BASIC hygiene standards.

Would of had something but re pictures I posted, I'm sure it's good but just put off by the mess 🙃

Unfortunately the worst experience I had in years. I was so much looking forward to this visit. The food was cold and half the options were missing. I finally got to order something after four attempts and it wasn't what I ordered. Definitely not going again.

I’m not usually one for writing reviews but I couldn’t not. Went in for lunch today and was so disappointed. Ordered our food at the self service machines and then went to find a table. There was one table occupied in the whole restaurant and every other table was disgusting, full of food and empty wrappers. The floor was also a mess.. wrappers and food everywhere and bins overflowing. Also, a lot of flies inside but this could be to the doors being open. My husband went and asked if one of the tables could be cleaned for us.. the girl behind the counter was then about to hand him the bottle of cleaner and then said “infact, I’ll come round and do it myself” Our food then was ready and half of our order was wrong and they had apparently ran out of beef. Also, had to go back up and get our drinks because they had forgotten them. By the time we were eating our food we were the only people inside and yet nobody had gotten around to cleaning the place yet.. instead all the staff were behind the counter carrying on and laughing. This was my first time in Taco Bell in this country ( I usually only go when I’m in America). The difference was unbelievable. I definitely will not be rushing back anytime soon!

First time in the place. No-one came and told us what procedure was to order food!! Walked in figured out what to do. Ordered food on self service thingy... then tried to find a clean table. There was only one other customer in sitting at table. It was not busy yet quite a few tables needed wiped down as they had residue food on them. A bin was lying out in middle of floor full. Plenty staff behind counter standing about. Not really impressed for a first time. The food that we ordered was nice tho. But wouldn't rush back. I like the personal touch.

Got the order wrong, but the place was clean, staff friendly enough and the food was ok. Nothing you couldnt do at home for a fraction of the price. Well in saying that the churros were good and I'm not sure if I could have done those at home

Better than I expected, first time trying but aware it's a US fan favourite. Would go back again. Had a taco, quesadilla, and then the churro with sauce. All were great value and tasty.

Ah the nostalgia of America, wrapped in the essence of a Chalupa (deep fried dough shell with all the taco trimmings) - in Scotland!! Coming from London, I was pleasantly surprised to see so many TBs up in Scotland! It's probably been 10 years since my last visit (when the Chihuahua was it's mascot) - but the taste is largely the same. Service was fine, but the young lady at the counter wasn't hugely helpful (and she was cleaning the tables with the floor broom - which we spotted as we were leaving). Come expecting fast food Meximerican food, & that's what you'll get.

Ordered through Uber. Food cold, paid priority and took over 1 hour. Dumped at door and no doorbell or knock. Missing cheese and chocolate sauces. Not going back. Have a cheek to ask for a tip at every opportunity!
