Jasmine in Fife

Visited Zeste Indian buffet for lunch today. Lovely freshly cooked food. Friendly staff. Could not fault it. Will definitely be back

We went too Jasmine/ zeste after winning a local radio competition which is always a bonus. Booked in for a specific time and was greeted by lovely lady who showed us straight too our table and took our drinks order,Decors really nice and can tell very thing is new but your hear too read a food review and that's where this is going. So we arrived 30 mins of the buffet being open and was told starters would be 10-15 mins till ready,It's almost as they cook when someone is being seated,Not like ta traditional buffet at all food is very limited with limited amounts,I would normally have a couple plates of started followed by a main and then no desert but you really can't do that here as the starters are replenished only when somone comes in. I had very bland and what tasted doughy pakora with chicken chat which tasted sour which would probably have been from the yoghurt and tikka spices it was marinating in,There was haggis pakora,samosas and few other things maybe 6 starters all in. If I remember right there was 6 currys and 2 rice choices and chips,I felt as though the currys were all very bland and there was no veg in any of them,I understand some currys don't have veg but ones that should didnt,No tikka mandala which was very strange considering its the uks national indian curry dish. Very sad looking nan breads came out and cutt into pieces and put on the hot plate,Can make better at home and Aldi do better packet ones.....love mopping uo currys with nan but can do this here. The owner constantly hovers around the hot plate where the starters are when there's no need considering he knows what took cook as its only done fresh when somone new walks through the door,I am only emphasising this as I mustve heard him say starters will be 10-15 minutes atleast 10 times too people. Other than getting too go up and pick what you want too eat this isn't in my eyes classed as a buffet as the choices are so limited with so little amount out. There's a huge Chinese buffet 10 minutes from here I get they do Chinese food but also do other cuisines,If they put on an Indian section it would most likely shut this place down as the quality wouldn't be hard too mirror or even beat. We certainly won't be back and if you do want n indian buffet head through too Amaritsa in Kirkcaldy,the venue maybe be smaller but more choice than this place and 100 times better,Best Indians around and won loads of awards for the currys ect. PS Zeste turn the music down a tad also

It didn’t disappoint . The staff were so lovely. They didn’t get our table number right and had to add another table. The staff were so apologetic but quickly resolved the issue. The food was amazing

Food was lovely however I ordered the food just after 5pm for 6.30 as it was my birthday and I had my 2 granddaughters here. Really disappointed with the delivery and the restaurant for it been late.

Food fresh and clearly just been made as still piping hot. Ordered two curries, one very tasty but the korma sadly was lacking in flavour which is very unusual.

Food was on time , however, the text messages with updates were out of sync. It said my order was delayed, just as it was delivered.

Order was on time but the lack of taste was disappointing.

I always love the food from the Jasmine but the service has been getting progressively worse. Ordered at 5:46pm and food delivered at 7:20pm. Received a text 30 mins after ordering to say that it was delayed. When it finally arrived, the sauce for the biryani was spilled all over the bottom of the bag and onto the rice and the nan. Good temperature was like warm. No apology at the door just handed over. It’s just not worth it for £20 to get one meal delivered 1hr and 40 mins after it’s ordered and it not even be up to scratch. Sadly, I won’t be ordering again.

Tasty food and quick delivery. Meal for one is enough for me and the Mrs so it’s a great deal.

Good timing but got order wrong still very tasty but the poppadoms were also very stale and turned soggy

I have searched for a decent curry! At last I have found not just a delicious curry but delivered quickly, earlier and piping hot. Will definitely order again.

Food was all delicious and hot on arrival!

This was my first time trying Jasmine, and there won’t be a second. My mushroom rice was mushy, containing an awful lot of very bland tomato and hardly any mushrooms. The phall was weirdly sweet, and I wouldn’t have said hotter than a vindaloo, and the peshwari naan seemed to be a normal naan that had been coated in a weird jammy mixture - no fruit, and no almonds. This is more expensive than my usual takeaway and the quality was poor. My order was 30 minutes late and didn’t even get a popadom whacked in the bag by way of apology. Will not be returning.

Poppadoms were soft and naan was hard. I asked for a madras sauce but there was no spice to it? The chicken tikka was nice but the rice was still quite watery. Usually get a nice meal from the jasmine but this time it was a massive let down

Excellent food shame the bottle of wine that we ordered was 10 months out of date! Called the restaurant and they said they had bought it recently! Put complaint into just eat. Shame as I have ordered plenty of times from here.. they couldn't care less tonight!

50 minutes late, missing the juice, lady on phone was nice but bad service tonight.

We ordered £30 worth of food, upon arriving we dished everything up only to find the chicken tikka korma was too salty to eat. Inedible. We phoned the restaurant and they said the chef had put 2 scoops of salt instead of 2 scoops of sugar. They did replace it but by that time we had already ate all of our other items. Not happy at all, no refund offered which I think is absolutely shocking. Wont be back

Amazing! Never had an Indian takeaway before so didn’t know what to expect. But this was amazing, will definitely be back. Was also delivered 20 minutes early!

The food was excellent, I hadn’t stated which fruit I’d like with the Kashmiri korma and a very helpful lady called me to ask. Thank you. I will order again.

Had the meal deal for one and really enjoyed it. Food is fresh and tasty and there’s enough left for supper.

This used to be the best Indian takeaway in town, only one I used until my last order. Food wasn't the same, the garlic nan was over-powering. The mushroom pakora was different and dry, everything was different and tasted weird. This place has went downhill. I won't ever use again. So dissapointing

Food was delivered quickly although poor quality, chilli garlic chicken was full of uncooked garlic cloves and uncooked full chilli's very disappointed with the meal also ordered bombay potatoes were still hard and other meal was wrong dish.

Food was never delivered. owner said delivery driver had placed it at the back door. Trouble is our room where we sit looks directly at our back path to the back door, with security lighting switched on when we expect a delivery. Been using Jasmine for 30 yrs, they have never been so inept.

Poppadoms were like dust when they got to me not 1 was intact the rest was fine but the poppadoms were destroyed,.

Chips were funny tasting and cold. Probably won’t use again. Most of it went in the bin. Shame cos I’ve heard really good reviews about it.

Food was great, good flavour and was piping hot. The Naan wasn’t as nice as other ones we’ve had but apart from that it was great

Every time we order from here it is amazing

Ordered as a treat for myself & my 89yr old Mum. Order was ready on time. Young lady who served me was nice & polite with a lovely smile. Everything was hot. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her chicken kashmiri korma & I enjoyed my lamb korma. Flavours were great , meats were tender. We also shared peshwari nan & mixed pakora which were also very tasty. Well deserved 5 stars.

Food ok but spoilt by the fact it was so late. Called restaurant after 15 mins and still had to wait another 30. Pretty poor when the slot was booked

We have not been to this restaurant since before the first lockdown and were shocked to see it was no longer a sit in. We luckily ordered a meal for collection and the girls told us they are moving premises and there will be sit in available at new premises. Still the food is the best indian meal we have had, chicken pakora and chicken tikka were both excellent, as were nan bread, sauces etc. Big shout to the girls running the place, they were very nice. We are looking forward to seeing new premises.

I will never order there again . Tasteless, meat to dry ,sauces to greasy. The texture of the sauce was funny as well :-/

Was amazing meal tonight and it had came 40 minutes before the actual time it was ment to arrive also the food was absolutely roasting and the food was outstanding!! Thank-you Jasmines for making a delicious meal for me and my partner :) gave the driver the £1.50 tip :)

We have never ever had any issues with this place this is why we keep going to Jasmines,our 7year old daughter absolutely loves your chicken korma and always asks to go here for a takeaway :) but on this occasion our food was absolutely freezing & late wasn’t like them at all and we were all very disappointed,not one of us had ate it and we were starving!!who actually likes eating cold chips or food for that matter and I hate reheating food in the microwave it’s never the same the chips are rank heated up as-well a waist of ££20 that’s for sure!!! Disappointed!!

wrong meal was issued..which we discovered after collection and driving home. When we returned it we were given the meal originally intended for us, which had been sitting on counter for over 30 minutes. Meal was luke warm at best. Huge disappointment. Offer of 20% off next meal not enough to tempt us back... which is a shame as the Jasmine used to be our favourite restaurant.

As a hgv driver who eats all over the country I've got to say this was one of the worst curries I've ever had, so much that I only ate the naan. I'd like to know since when has a chicken tikka massala been cooked with cashew nuts and peppers.. absolutely disgusting. Rice wasn't the nicest either, bland as slightly overcooked. All I can say about the experience as a whole is I've got a £25 bottle of Fanta

My food wasn’t exactly late it was on the estimates delivery time but that was two hours, then when I got my order it came wrong the food I had was amazing but waiting that long for something to be wrong wasn’t the greatest experience!

Always ordered from the Jasmine in the past as their food was delicious Unfortunately the food standard has gone really down hill Tandoori lamb dry looked and tasted like shoe leather Their sauces all taste hot with no real depth or taste Quality seems to be an issue

Normally our food is amazing but I ordered the prawn puri and it was inedible, absolutely gutted. The prawns tasted really weird, were chewy, and tasted so bad. I couldn't force eat it either.

Always have a lovely meal from here however I don't know if they have changed recipe or chef Garlic mushrooms far to creamy and sweet tasted like coconut in the sauce not a good combination sauce looked curdled I couldn't eat them

Pre ordered for delivery time.. was half hour to 45 mins late.. dumped on door step(heard it thud against the door)and was cold. Has to re heat. Normally have good service but was disappointed tonight

Took almost 2 hours for delivery. Food was soggy and cold.

Ordered our usual meal they missed a sauce that we really needed 45 minutes later it arrives but we had to pay an extra £5.50 said they had increased there prices. Although it was there mistake. Phoned restaurant couldn’t care less said it was price increase and that was that. Guess what won’t be back and will share our experience with whoever will listen. Don’t think Management will care though think they are indispensable lol.

This was the first time i ordered at jasmine and the food was absolutely disgusting. Tandoori chicken was completely burned. Totally waste of money. What a shame!!

Excellent food , never disappointed

Food was tasty but we were missing the tandoori king prawn starter (there was a vegetable dish we hadn't ordered that had cauliflower which neither of us like so not something we would order) called the Jasmine, the girl was helpful however the chef was insisting he had packed the order himself so it must be there and refused to solve the issue. The girl recommend contacting just eat for refund of the missing item which we did and a credit was applied to our account. I'd recommend getting nans at another shop as these were small and crispy verging on burnt. Collection time was spot on though.

The lamb was in parts fatty, no sweetness to the meal, quite salty altogether, no salad which usually contrasts with the dish .Lots of it but no quality.

First time buying from here as our local was closed. Lamb dishes were unreal. Well done guys 👍
