Jannat Restaurant in Lichfield

Disgusting customer service, order delivered cold after Driver got lost, told we should of returned food and let them know, we did with 2 separate calls to be told 1st time were busy call back and 2nd time they needed to speak to their manager. 3rd call to be told we should of called them and returned the order. £50 down the drain as we were told there was nothing they could do.

6 of us booked a table 2 meals came out wrong and luke warm , we won't be going back in a hurry

2 poppadoms, 1 small starter, 2 curries, 2 nans and a glass of wine £47 . Not good value. Food ok but there was no one else in there on a Saturday night ? I won’t be returning.

*AVOID* Food lacked all flavour, extremely watery. Stale poppadoms and naan bread. Would definitely avoid this place, plenty of other decent Indian takeaways in Lichfield

What a fantastic Indian restaurant. Went there last night and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food, service was excellent. In my opinion better than La Bagh.

20/10 for the food and service. They were more happy to create dishes, for me, that weren't on the menu. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The flavours were well balanced and food was of a very high standard. Would 100% recommend this restaurant.

At last we’ve found a great curry house in Lichfield!! Not since eastern eye over 5 years ago have we enjoyed food so much! All the curry’s in Lichfield are poor compared to this place. My pathia was hot and tangy as it should be, the Nan was fresh, puffy n crisped perfectly, the rice was perfect and unique! All four of us had different meals and all four of us equally enjoyed all that was served. I have to say our waiter Dollar was equally a joy, very attentive and very very funny, he himself is worth the experience of dining here. And the lady host is one of the warmest people we’ve ever met in the restaurant business. Do not let the not so fancy decor put you off this place, whilst other restaurants are putting money into fancy surroundings, this restaurant is investing in great staff and fabulous food!!! This place deserves to do well, it’s outstanding! Most enjoyable eating experience I’ve had in Lichfield for a long long time! I actually didn’t want to write this review because I was going to be selfish and keep this secret to myself because I worry if places get popular that standards might drop but I actually trust this place can deliver what’s expected of them. Go and enjoy Dollars sense of humour, you will want to take him home with you along with their delicious curry!

The staff and the decor are quite unique I'd say, food prices aren't so bad and the food can improve but overall a great place.

We were there on Friday 9th December. The food and service was outstanding, very gracious staff, especially our chap who embarrassingly I’ve forgotten his name! We will definitely be returning during the festive period, no more could have been done for us. Outstanding.

Overpriced for the quality Mixed starter for two,1 kebab,chicken thigh and a few lumps of meat that were so tough What I did/could eat albeit was tasty

First visit on Sunday as I fancied a change. Amazing food and the staff were brilliant. Best onion bhaji by far, I always go for CTM as my first meal as I think if they can't get that right, we have no chance. Husband had the special and we both loved it . The food was tasty and the restaurant was lovely. Good value and would definitely recommend a visit. Looking forward to my next visit

Nice food but shame advertised website menu prices are no where near what they are in reality, some dishes 30% or more. Be warned, if on a budget.

We first ate here two weeks ago after getting a menu come through the door, the food and service were first rate. So last week, as we had friends coming over we ordered take away, once again the food was first rate, the delivery very quick,the driver was very polite, helpful and funny, he even shut the gate most people forget, top rate service all round, will be ordering again soon.

Food was fine but what started off as small talk and 'banter' from the waitor turned into irritating and a bit rude really. Wouldn't go back.

Never write a review but saw some harsh criticism and felt I had to share… great customer service, I popped in for a takeaway in a rush and order butter chicken, got my food within 10 mins and was really impressed with how the food tasted, probably the best I’ve had in lichfield

Had high hopes for the restaurant, unfortunately did not meet any good standards whatsoever. Food was dry and indigestible. Staff need huge training on how to provide customer service.

Absolutely rubbish food and waste of money.

Visited here recently, absolutely lovely meal, good menu with some different dishes on as well, I tried the chicken village which was terrific. Staff really friendly and a nice restaurant and reasonably priced. we will definitely be going back again, best curry I’ve had in Lichfield 👍👍👍👍👍

This is by far the best Indian Restaurant I have ever been to. The food is absolutely fantastic and the service is excellent. We were visiting on holiday from Australia and made sure we got a second visit to Jannat in before we headed back home. Our local friends that we brought with us also said it was the best Indian they’d had. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was worst and was full of smell. Seemed like it was of last week i guess. The customer service is more than poor. After getting this bad food I checked the hygiene rating on google and it was just one star. I wish i could check the rating before trying this restaurant. It is simply the wastage of money and time. I won't recommend this bad restaurant to anybody in my life.

Good service and very friendly atmosphere. Our waiting staff were very funny. The food was slightly different to the run of the mill Indian restaurant and well worth trying.

Food is great, best Indian in Lichfield. Decor is a bit tired and could do with an update but I think they are new owners so maybe they'll update it a bit. Really good and friendly service too.

Had a great night here for our friend's leaving do, staff were amazing and so friendly the food was really nice definitely recommend nothing was to much trouble it was a brilliant experience

Absolutely blown away by the staffs level of customer service. They are warm, welcoming, attentive and fun!!! We've been twice in the past 10 days and have also had a takeaway. So that speaks for itself. Food is fantastic. Full or flavour and great portions. First visit they were so friendly and were amazing to myself,partner and the kids. Making jokes and just being so lovely. Last night we went and met dollar. What a guy, had us in stitches. Honestly never came across such lovely staff and just as good food. All round perfect.

I’m an absolute Indian food foodie, it’s my go to for takeaway and I love to cook this cuisine, decided to try Jannat after driving past. Menu is very well stocked with dishes to suit all tastes, I had the lamb tikka phall (good to see a phall on a menu) sauce was very very hot and spicy, perfect for me, only criticism was that some of the lamb was tough, not melt in the mouth like other pieces. Partner had chicken tikka balti shaslick which was delicious, naans, rice, pops, dips all very fresh and tasty, service great too, well done Jannat, great start, will be eating in soon.

Best Indian food in Lichfield by far in my opinion and we have tried the majority.. Ordered via justeat and the food was absolutely amazing. None of that typical oily, under flavoured but over spiced dish you can often get. I enjoyed a hot but extremely tasty chicken Naga while by wife was wax lyrical about her lamb Jaipur. The staff member from the restaurant who delivered the food was really polite too. Only slight negative which Is, as I say, slight was that there wasn’t any complimentary poppadum’s. It was far from the be all and end all however I’d say 9/10 you do get a complimentary gesture. Maybe they will provide this next week when I re order as the food was just beautiful.

We visit the fantastic cuisine last night to try it out . And what a experience it was as the food was fantastic and can I say how polite and friendly the staff and chief who also came out and spoken to all the customers within the restaurant was. We will highly recommend this place to anybody in the West Midlands etc knocks any Birmingham curry’s out the water from tisha and son ( mcd Lichfield ) 👍
