Really lovely meal, and the service excellent thanks.

Mediocre food and flat atmosphere. Nothing really wrong (except a dirty wine glass) but nothing to surprise or delight either.

Very good service and very accommodating to such a large group of us.

We decided to try Ask over other Italians in Lichfield for a change. The staff member serving us hardly smiled, everything seemed like too much trouble. My sons carrot sticks were going brown. When my son’s spaghetti bolognaise came out it literally looked like some one had diarrhoea on a bowl on spaghetti. On top of that there was a skin formed on it as it clearly had been sitting there for a while. My husband tasted it and it had no taste whatsoever. Mine and my husband’s meals were ok but decidedly average and I had to add chilli oil to mine to even have some flavour. We won’t be returning again.

The service was excellent but the pasta dishes were lacking flavour & the sauce was incredibly runny. We didn't feel this was value for money unfortunately.

Great - on arriving and given choice of tables. Plenty of choice on the menu and it didn’t disappoint absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and happy to assist. A very enjoyable evening had my wife and I.

Staff were very friendly and professional, although a bit tough to flag down at times. Great garden to sit out and eat in. It felt like being on holiday. The problem is the price for the quality of food and portion size. Nothing was bad, it was all just okay…and quite underwhelming. There is no reason why a small bowl of pasta should cost £18. The Prima Pizza is smaller and thinner than at other similar places. However, my wife did really enjoy her dessert and the kids meals were reasonable.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. The only criticism I have is that the floors were not clean which was a bit off putting to see crumbs everywhere. Needed a good sweep up.

went to celebrate for an occasion and multiple fries were raw, parmesan taste like it had gone off, crab and lobster ravioli tasted of tesco fish paste and the sauce was as thin and tasteless as the water the fish came from. Will not return and do not recommend. servers were pleasant but were not very fast

Very attentive staff. Lovely food all round. My mum couldn't eat all her food so they packaged it up for her to take home. No fuss fab will definitely go back. 😊👍

I booked a table for 3 as an 18 birthday dinner…. The two kids were asked for ID but they were 18 and 19! I’d asked for balloons or something special as it was a special occasion…. Nothing extra and no acknowledgement of the details of the booking. I asked to change seats and sit outside, but nothing changed. The starter was okay but the mains were really poor. Overall I was very unimpressed with the service and the food. We would not repeat the experience.

An excellent find on the night England played Spain in Euro Final. Every other restaurant had closed at 7.30 pm for football watching. Very quiet, only one couple plus me. Had excellent seafood linguine and courgette fries, with mango sorbet to follow. All with nice small Pinot Grigio. Staff attentive and friendly and like me not too bothered about football. An enjoyable evening. Thank you team.

Perhaps a quiet Sunday due to Euro football but 4 old buddies (not the easiest to please) were served patiently and courteously and everyone enjoyed the food. Mixture of a great pizza and pasta dishes. Very generous helpings followed by sweets which were great. In all an enjoyable experience.

Blown away by the quality of not only the food but the service. Our food came piping hot, tasted really fresh and flavoursome. The mushroom sauce to the calazone was creamy and delicious, and the garlic bread tasted so delicate( it was the best part). For dessert, the brownie melted in my mouth. The highlight has to be the service from Greg. All night, he made sure our food was up to standard, and he we was very well mannered. He received a tip for his great customer service skills. I hope to go back to Lichfield and visit this amazing Ask. Ask as a company, continue to be amazing up and down the country.

Stunning inside did not expect what we got. The lady who served us was great. We had the lemon and the raspberry water yum. I had the mushroom and truffle calzone wow just delicious. If we lived near it would definitely be a regular stop for us. Thank you.

An Italian restaurant so far from a taste of Italian food. The Bruschetta we ordered was literally on a toast with some taste less tomatoes… and that’s just for the starters. Main course was okay didn’t taste fresh. Dirty tables with sticky surface and the ambiance felt like a doctors reception. Unfortunately, not worth the bill

Pre-theatre visit on a Sunday afternoon. Although it's part of a chain it really doesn't seem that way. Tasty, hot food, served by attentive, friendly staff. The 20% discount with our theatre ticket made the meal extremely good value. We'll definitely be back.

Another visit to Lichfield turned out to be a very pleasant evening. Friendly as always, the staff quickly delivered our drinks and then tasty food. My husband and I are gluten intolerant and we really like the care we are treated with during our visits. Starting from the entrance there is a question about allergies. Thank you for your concern and another wonderful evening.

Food was average. When we got there, we were told it is card only. Which is fine. But then told tips are card only too, implying we must give a tip. Then when the bill was given, was straight he away told I can click the % for the tip or click another option to specify the tip. This isn’t America, tips are for exceptional service and are not a given. Felt very uncomfortable.

We had a great time at ASK Italian’s Lichfield branch. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had two toddler and they felt us make very comfortable with them (not all restaurants accommodate toddlers). Food was tasty and the atmosphere was very nice.

Food ordered and was delivered cold no way to get refund or a redelivery so don’t order a delivery

Visited first time today. Food was tasty. Very quiet this afternoon. Service was good. Lunch for 2 people with tip came to £70 including two drinks, no pudding. A bit pricey but overall a good experience.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and in a lovely part of Lichfield. The staff were very nice but unfortunately our food was very bad. Starters were dry and over cooked. Our mains were greasy, badly presented and horrible. The manager took them off the bill so we didn’t have to pay, but it was a real shame. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I won’t try to eat there again.

Food ok service ok Atmosphere lighting to bright and they come round with candles! as well. It felt like seating in a canteen. And to top it all they refuse cash card only. Not very romantic.And the music was wrong should have Italian music like Guitar. We was in and out with in the hour.

Had a great time at Ask in Lichfield today. We chose to have our Netball party here and so glad we did! All 11 meals came out at the same time, plenty of staff around who kept our table clear of empty plates and glasses, food was amazing, the team even provided boxes for those who couldn’t finish their food. Would highly recommend for big groups, will be returning soon 👍🏻

Joe and Billy are handsome men that delivered the food to the table in true elegance. As gracious as 2 doves intertwined, gliding through the restaurant in the most beautiful tight fitting ASK t-shirts that the eye has ever seen. Although I became hot and flustered at the sight of these beautiful men... My thirst was quenched by a delicious ice cold coca cola. My lips locked around the bottle ready to receive my sugary sustenance, when I caught sight of the large calamari that they had purposely placed a little closer to my eyeline. As the men left I received a subtle and sultry wink. And at that point I knew... It was clear and so so obvious that I was about to dine like a queen. 10/10

Was served by a young male at 5pm on 30/10/2023 (possibly named Luke) Great service. Really made us feel well looked after without being too over the top. The pace of service was quick but without feeling rushed and really friendly. The ambience of the place was great. A little in to the evening, the lights were dimmed and it was really chill in there. We have 2 autistic children and they don't always do great with evening dining, but they had no problem in this restaurant. On top of this, the food itself was really good. Great experience all around

Enjoyed my meal but a friend had to send hers back but second cooked meal was lovely.

Visited on 16th Sept 2023. We have eaten at Ask many times before. We never had a bad experience when it comes to food or service. Foods is always lovely and all the staff very polite. The only think is that the place needs urgently a lick of paint and sort some repairs. The current decor is nice but there is something missing. It looks very empty and not cozy. There were 2 dead flies in the ladies toilets as well which was off putting.

Visited for a spontaneous lunch for my birthday and had a really nice time. This is my go-to food when visiting, and it did not disappoint.

Really nice meal. We went for lunch and the service and atmosphere was really nice. They had a non-gluten menu which had lots of choice. I had the pollo prosciutto and it was really well seasoned.

Sat outside in the garden with my daughter and our dog , grass could do with cutting but apart from that it was a very pleasant place to sit .

Sunday afternoon at 3pm, no booking, walked in to a deflated welcome. Seated on a table by the toilets. No atmosphere. The food didn't take me all the way to Italy. Cheesy Chips comes out as Chips with cheese powder dusted on the top, 😵‍💫.Was told we couldn't split the bill, a little sharply by the waitress. Paid at the till and not offered a receipt. First and only visit.

Food was fantastic. Could of done with extra honey for the pizza with love. Service bit slow in places. Trying to get the bill impossible. Until it started to rain and outside customers wanted our table then we got asked to leave . 😒

Dough balls were amazing. A free homemade lemonade was a nice touch. But unfortunately the main had very little meat was way to much pasta.

Service:slow even it was only 2-3 tables occupied at that time. We had a child menu and 2 main course: Pollo Milanese which was decent but the mushroom sauce was in small amount considering the size of the breaded chicken breast,they didn't have broccoli but they offered me another option which is a bonus. POLLO PROSCIUTTO: the sauce was very salty and the sauté mushrooms missing from the plate. The only flavour in our dish was salt. Kids menu: veggies with dip(chopped tomato sauce from a can) and pasta with tomato sauce(again chopped tomato from a can) and it was sour(that s the only flavour in the dish.If you call yourself an italian restaurant and you serve tomato sauce from a can....that says a lot! Brownie small portion and very thin that I ever saw. We eat everything because we payed around £65 for that,money that we worked very hard and we wanted to spoil ourself with a nice,decent meal!

Could do with redecorating. Service was average. Side salad was poor. Lasagne was very good but expensive. Not as busy as usual which I think tells you something is not quite right. Have been to ASK many times but will think carefully before going again.

One of the best vegan pizzas I ever had, and I had many. The MozzaRisella cheese they use is great. The vegan meat was a bit too salty so I had to put it aside. The service was very nice too, very good restaurant overall.
