Everything wrong about standardized uninspiring and bland food. Added to the excessive price.

Visited a few years ago. An excellent place with a great atmosphere. The dishes are simple and effective. Real, simple cuisine. The pastas and pizzas are really delicious.

The food food at Jamies Italian was nice but the burger was abit dry for my liking and bland, the burger did look nice for a photo but that where it stops. The food is abit pricey for Italian food. The drinks they make are good.

Da mein Mann ein großer Jamie Oliver Fan ist, war ein Besuch in einem seiner Restaurants ein Muss als wir in London waren! In den im oberen Geschoss gelegenen Restaurant kann man Pasta und Hauptgänge essen und unten nur Pizza .Was mit einem Kind dann nicht einfach ist. Allerdings war das Restaurant Erlebnis durch ein sehr schwaches Service getrübt. Wir saßen am Fenster nur herum und warteten. Zwar nicht lange bis im Service was passierte, dabei waren nur 3 Tische inkl. unserem besetzt. Ungemütliches Ambiente, eher wie ein Schnellimbiss. Nichts Besonderes. Eher teuer. Kleine Portionen.

Worst dining experience I had. Took the waiter ages to take our order. We asked them we were ready to order at some point and they were too busy serving other guest water or nothing rather than taking our order. And after we order took ages to serve, worst staff altitude I seen, won’t go again wouldn’t recommend anyone I know to go either.

So sorry this is closing. A very enjoyable dinner and view of Victoria street. Very comfortable and pleasant staff

Early Saturday evening, post-Matinee at the Apollo; food was lovely and the service was prompt & friendly with some added personality from the busser. Beef carrapaccio to start looked a bit disappointing but tasted delicious. Pasta dishes we both had were exceptional.

Restaurant gave up tap water in dirty drinking cups, did not bother offering us still water, plus food was not satisfying. Overall place is a waste l

Fairly underwhelming food. Starter and main was way over salted. Service was very lacking and slow. Still don't really understand why you can only eat pizza downstairs but not upstairs, very odd. Falls below other Italian chains and definitely overpriced.

Nice modern restaurant design excellent food choices. But the staff should have let me know that the tip was included in the bill, they just showed me the readout where it said additional tip.

We were there at lunch time but only offered the main menu. A couple arrived and asked for a lunch menu. The waitress seemed not to know what they were talking about. When they persisted, she went and got it. It should be freely available if it exists. I feel a bit conned.Otherwise, the food was pleasant, staff were efficient and some were friendly.

We arrived for a late lunch and got a table in the ground floor, that serves pizzas. It was quite dirty from the previous costumer, which was not good. There's not much choice in the menu, it's not very diverse. The Parma Pizza was good, but will not stay in our future memory. Just an eatable lunch.

We ate here 7pm on a Saturday after a Theatre show. We did pre book a table but it wasnt really necessary as the restaurant wasnt full. The restaurant is upstairs with a pizza eatery downstairs. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food came very quickly and was excellent quality and flavour. I had the meatballs starter and my partner had the Carapaccio, both were excellent and well presented. For mains we both chose pasta dishes with various sauces and the waitress brought the parmesan to the table. We had the garlic bread to accompany our meal. We shared a dessert, the cheesecake is amazing! The overall bill £56 was really reasonable for a central London restaurant, however we did only had soft drinks. The only disappointment was the Ladies toilet. It was dirty. Most of the toilets were unflushed alot of tissue paper was on the floor. The sinks were dirty and some rubbish on the sinktops. It just needed a member of staff to regularly check the toilets and do a general sweep through to keep it clean and tidy. Overall it was a lovely evening and great experience.

Per la nostra prima Cena a Londra, abbiamo optato per una pizza in un locale il cui nome richiamava l'Italia quindi ci aspettavamo di trovare del personale Italiano, invece ci ha servito una ragazza che parlava solo inglese. Tutto sommato la Pizza era anche buona solo ma con poco di Italia.

really disappointed with the rude staff at the desk who wouldn't honour the £5 takeaway pizza deal. saw the sign, pop to the shop and when we got back to the restaurant we were greet by an aggressive lady who wouldn't adhere to the deal. shame as we've always enjoyed going to the restaurant.

10pm, you desperately want cup of capuccino with a cake, almost all places arround are closed... then Jamie's happens: great Italian cofee, tiramisu and lemon cheescake made our day.

Had the set menu with several choices for starters and mains. We enjoyed the crispy squid followed by the salmon casarecce with lots of delicious salmon pieces and the pasta carbonara in a yummy creamy bacon sauce. Staff very friendly and attentive. Recommend.

So disappointed. Was expecting a decent meal because this place had the Jamie Oliver name. Pasta ingredients were not fresh. Mussels smelled old, seafood linguine sauce was bland. My eight year old’s baby burger patty wasn’t just tough, it was burnt to a crisp. The only decent item we had in our meal was the sweet potato fries that came with the kiddie meal and the sourdough with tapenade. The rest was unremarkable, bland, or simply disappointing.

Very poor service- none of the staff have asked me or my partner how our food was. When it came to settling our bill, it took the waitress 5mins to get a card machine. Food was ok, expected better.

I am generally surprised by all the negative reviews, had a great experience at Jamie's today, very friendly staff, very nice chap seated us and made sure my son was given an adult sized pizza upstairs although the pizza restaurant was downstairs, the two course lunch menu was superb, the food was great, would deffo visit again.

Staff were brilliant, the food could have been a bit better quality and a bit more of it. Also, the glasses still had water marks on which surprised me.

Had to wait an hour between starter and main course. When main course arrived it looked like it had been kept warm for some time. Sorry Jamie but this was not your finest hour or two. Disappointed.

I was satisfied with the starter- crispy squid was very tasty,good portion for a starter as well. However, when it came to main course- disappointing,it looked better on the menu the pasta was dry, barely had any salmon in it. Service was also lacking, only have been asked once how the food was only after when eating our main course, when asked for the bill the waitress just assumed I was gonna pay cash and placed the bill with a plate on our table and just walked off- had to wait 5 more minutes for her to realise I was paying by card for her to bring a card machine.

We had the two course deal which was great. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Good food, good ambience & good value for money. Will definitely visit again.

Every single of experience was awful. The door greeter was a charmless android- even the door itself was terrible and took two people to open(!!!), the waiter put us in the wrong section, the restaurant shouldn't even have different sections where you have to move tables(!!!!!!), the seats were dirty, the cups were dirty, the service was slow and the pizza was tasteless. When I told the waitress this she thought I was joking, when I said that I certainly wasn't all she could mumble was, "desert and coffee". Jesus F'ing Christ on an Italian bike! Shocking and disgraceful. Its a good job I didn't like Jamie Oliver himself before. Go out of business quickly please and we'll all just forget about you.

We couldn't even eat despite the fact that there were empty tables. Can't believe they use Jamie Oliver's name to have such a terrible management. It's better to say the restaurant is closed or that is fully booked than queuing for nothing. We were looking forward to eating there but won't come back.

We waited to be seated - there was confusion over whether we should be upstairs or downstairs as there are rules as to what you can eat where - finally when seated downstairs we received no attention for 10 minutes so we left and went to Zizzi’s - and they good service and good food - I suggest you avoid this Jamie’s

Für große Preise gibt es kleine Portionen. Manche Gerichte sind geschmacklich gut andere nur eher dürftig. Die Gnocchi waren wohlwollend gesagt lauwarm. Der Name passt nicht wirklich zu diesem durchschnittlichen und teueren Restaurant.

Went to Jamie’s Italian a couple of weeks ago with my better half and waited 20 minutes for a table even though HALF the upstairs was empty. When we did finally go upstairs my husband ordered pasta and I asked for pizza - low and behold - I was NOT ALLOWED to eat pizza upstairs. Hmmm ... ok so today I was a step ahead when we went again and took our kids for lunch. All confident I went in and asked for a table DOWNSTAIRS, again the waitress took an eternity saying there was no table. My husband pointed to an area with FOUR free tables and she came back saying it was FREE - yes we NOTICED - we TOLD YOU!! So finally get seated DOWNSTAIRS and get given the menu. I asked for the pizza menu and was flabbergasted to be told that even though we were DOWNSTAIRS we were not in the correct zone for PIZZA!!! I was beginning to wonder if a Crystal Maze type zoning map should be provided on entry, with colour coded bands and lazers which zap ⚡️ at you if you enter the incorrect zone... Richard O’Brien would have been proud... ok so I gathered my children to be offered a table in the correct DOWNSTAIRS zone for pizza, it was an outdoor table with the blazing 25 degree heat melting my newborns face and feet, the table was so unsteady and shaking it resembled the onset of a mini tsunami right in the heart of london. With a huff and a puff the waitress agreed it may be hot with the kids so moved us into another correct zone for pizza inside. I gathered my now wilting brood and dragged them indoors for another attempt to get a pizza. Finally, we ordered and received a yummy well deserved stone baked pizza. I did not want pizza so was NOT ALLOWED to eat (because I should have been UPSTAIRS), therefore had a coffee and kale salad and watched the rest of the family eat as I withered away in a corner. When I asked the waitress for the Parmesan she repeated Parmesan a couple of times and looked baffled at why we would ask for Parmesan in an Italian restaurant! To be laughed at!! I would suggest to those hoping to go, arm yourself with knowledge of the surreondings, enter with caution, do not be fooled by the UPSTAIRS/DOWNSTAIRS rules, agree and decide on what you will eat, stand your ground, and finally if you do feel like eating something other than what your party are eating make sure your FaceTime is on as you’ll be sitting on DIFFERENT FLOORS! Absolute joke!

Really strange and disappointing experience. I was not greeted, had to pay for drinks separately and get these myself, the waiter presented the gnocchi as if it would be a taste sensation but it was far from that and contained too much salt. The waitress was kind to deduct this from the bill. The lamb was very good. Theres a slight hint of arrogance in this place.

Oh my goodness. 4 of us had Jamie’s 2 course deal at £12.95. Very poor. We all had fried ravioli which was ok but really just like fried bread - you couldn’t taste the filling. The dipping arrabiata sauce added some flavour. Then two of us had tagliatelle bolognese. It was very poor. The pasta was raw as the strands were sticking together in clumps. Completely inedible. If an Italian restaurant can’t get the basics right then I will never be back. The salmon pasta was ok but nothing special and the steak dish was nice. Service was pleasant

Jag åt en torr kycklingfilé utan sås med helt okej sweet potato fries. Min man åt lamm som bestod till mestadels av fett och en pytteliten sallad vid sidan om. De alkoholfria drinkarna vi tog till var goda, men lite väl dyra. Jag skulle inte rekommendera detta stället för maten.

We hebben hier gegeten met een grote groep, dit was voor de bediening geen enkel probleem deze was goed en vriendelijk. Het eten zelf maakte mij niet enthousiast.

My friend and I visited around 7pm on a Saturday. The food was pretty good - we both got the Papardelle Meatballs. They had an unusual slightly spicy flavor, which was interesting, but they were very good. We didn't notice a problem with cleanliness, but we were exhausted from traveling so weren't looking too closely.

For my last night in London I was on my way to Pizza Express for one last order of dough balls when I happened on Jamie’s Italian. I wish I had kept going. The first thing I noticed when I sat down was the salt and pepper shakers were so filthy, one had bits of dried sauce stuck to it. I started with the garlic flat bread. It was not that bread, which is fine but the menu should not bill it as such. The bread was good but fir almost 5 pounds they could have been more generous with the garlic butter, it was like I was eating just plain bread. For my main I ordered the allegedly “famous” prawn linguine with saffron and chili. I really have no idea what makes this famous, it was barely average. The prawns, while they did not skimp on then were the tiny one bite ones that get tough when over cooked, which these were. I also could not taste any saffron or chili. The service was just ok. Just a completely disappointing experience and it def makes me look at Jamie Oliver in a different light that he would put his name on something so mediocre. I will not be going back if ever in London again.

Tasty food, for recommendations.

My friend and I were visiting London from the US and happened into this restaurant. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat in the downstairs bar area where the menu was limited. We split a margherita pizza and a caprese salad. We both thought the pizza and salad were very good. My friend did ask the server about wines, and he said he couldn't comment on them because he wasn't allowed to drink at work. Then he convinced her to order a wine that she wasn't sure about. She didn't like it, and when she told him, he was very courteous, and brought her a different wine. It was a good experience overall, and I would return.

We went to Jamie's Italian before a play and had a wonderful meal. I wondered if it would only be so well reviewed because it's one of Jamie Oliver's, celebrity chef's place, but it was exceptional. The platings were pretty, the service great and fast. We had lasagna, calamari, and pasta with seafood. Not expensive. I would go back to any of Jamie's restaurants in the future.

A little too rustic and 'bare-bones' for me. I ordered steak and the waitress did not ask me how I like it; I did not like how it was done. I will not be going there again. Probably should have stayed as a deli.

Very good prepared and tasty food, perfect combination, friendly staff. Very noisy, missing any noise reduction facilities. Have two floors - pizza on the first and restaurant on the second. The restaurant floor is much noisier.

Food good as was the service, however conversation became challenging as the restaurant filled up due to the acoustics.

Staff made a mistake in the order of our meal (main before starter), we were chilled out about it and they went out of their way to make it up to us. Had a really lovely dinner for a great price. Thank you.
