Absolutely delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, and super cheap—my favourite place to eat in Oakham!!

My wife and I called in for an impromptu lunch. We were delighted with the food - really delicious and delivered in a timely fashion, by friendly and helpful staff. Prices are very reasonable and the surroundings are wonderfully comfortable.

Visited Oakham en route to stay with family, spotted Jamels, which looked really welcoming and comfortable and managed to persuade my husband to retrace our steps and call in for lunch. A great decision! The menu is interesting, authentic Lebanese food, very reasonably priced and delicious. The hummous was home made and divine. The staff were welcoming and attentive. If I lived nearby, I would definitely be a regular customer. If you are in Oakham, please support this venue.

This is a really nice boutique restaurant serving delicious lebanese food and delivering fantastic value, right in the heart of Oakham. The people are friendly and the good is delicious and light. We will definitely return with friends and family.

Lovely new place in Oakham! Great to have somewhere a bit different. Very reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, halloumi bowl, fries and drinks. It is also BYOB with a small charge for anyone interested.

We had two chicken shawarma wraps and a bean stew, really tasty and good value - thoroughly recommend. Keen to try the takeaway :)

Delicious tasty food. Lots of choice. Great staff. Reasonable prices.we had smoked aubergine dip. Chicken shwama wrap and fries. The portions were really good and freshly prepared. I would definitely visit here again. Much better than the usual sandwiches or jacket potatoes served at local cafes!

Really lovely addition to Oakham town centre. Very tasty, fresh food and a welcome change to the traditional food options. Would recommend visiting for a very enjoyable and reasonably priced meal. Staff are all very friendly. We will be back when visiting Oakham again.

Wow. A fabulous lunch spot. Homemade delicious mezze. The hummus was spectacular and the smoked aubergine dip was one of the best I've had. The hot mezze also amazing, especially the lamb bulgar wheat balls. Beautiful flatbread to go with in a unique little cafe on the High Street.

A welcome addition to Oakham High Street is Jamel's Lebanese restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere and decor are refreshingly different. An authentic touch was the Arabic music coming from the loudspeaker. We had a late lunch consisting of a Lebanese breakfast (£8.99) and chicken shawarma wrap (£7), which were good value for money. There is plenty to choose from on the menu. If you want to experience something a little bit different when in Oakham you should give it a go. It won't be the last time that we eat there and we can recommend it.

Had an amazing Latte and it was hot and flavoursome. The samosas were made fresh and the salad was also made fresh. Sat outside as it was warm and watched the world pass.

Spot on, great little place for an impromptu lunch. Coffee was great and can highly recommend the Chicken Shawarma. Kids blooming loved the hamburgers and fries.

The food was all very tasty, freshly cooked, and good value too. We'll be back soon for more. Nice to have something different in Oakham.

Welcoming atmosphere, lovely service and great food. We ordered a selection off the menu and weren’t disappointed with any of it. All credit to the owners, this is exactly what Oakham needs and I hope it continues to do well. Also the coffee is great and love that they have a book swap in there.

I have had takeout from Jamels, it was a falafel and hummus wrap, was lovely and tasty and so fresh. I choose to take the girls out for a dinner on a Friday night and we were not disappointed, lovely staff, reasonably priced, we had a mixture of dishes to try and couldn't fault any. It's great to have a different type of cuisine choice in Oakham

Excellent quality food, so fresh and tasty. Had a Lebanese breakfast and it was delish! Totally recommend this lovely little place. The staff are also so kind and friendly.

A great, dog and vegan friendly restaurant. Fresh, healthy food and really welcoming staff. It has quickly become a regular for us.
