Hej People. I come to Jamaica very often to eat my favourite pancakes with rosbery, peaches and honey. Since I have them I cannot stop coming to Jamaica. Service is always high level. Top. Guys working there are so kind, friendly and communicative. Food the best. Elena does the best pancakes 🥞 in the whole world. Always saying hello with smile 😃 and Madalina - She is always friendly, lovely to talk, so open. Everytime I meet these People feels like home 🏡

A true gem in the heart of the mall. The food is top notch, and gets delivered pretty quick, with the menu being inspired by many cultures. I ordered a chicken souvlaki and my husband ordered a bang bang bowl which was 10/10. Highly recommended. Always ask umi for a menu recommendation, and he makes the best coffees!!

Brilliant Café with Amazing Service – Especially from Umy! I recently visited Jamaica Blue in Ilford, and I was thoroughly impressed. The café has a clean, modern feel with a cosy atmosphere – perfect for relaxing with a coffee or enjoying a catch-up with friends. The coffee was top-notch – I had a flat white that was smooth, rich, and perfectly made. Their food menu is also great, with plenty of fresh and tasty options. I tried the all-day breakfast, and it was delicious and well presented. What really made the experience stand out was the service. Umy was absolutely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile and genuine warmth, and Umy really delivered that personal touch. I went in to get myself and my husband a very much needed coffee to take away. I wanted a cold coffee, an americano but with milk and I got my husband a cappuccino. Both drinks tasted amazing and the staff were so lovely and approachable. The atmosphere inside was cosy and I can’t wait to dine in next time.

Amazing food. Chicken tikka Yorkshire pudding is a standout. On the menu. The staff are so friendly and funny. The kind Red Haired waitress is a so warm and welcoming. A gem 💎. A true asset to the team. We always enjoy there!

I ordered a Caesar salad, terrible dressing, too much vinegar, I wanted to return it, but they refused and do not want to listen to criticism, I do not recommend it!!!

I ordered 3 Caesar salads, but it was impossible to eat them! When they were first served, there was an unbearable smell of vinegar. It was impossible to eat them!!!We told the staff about this, and they replied that they had ordered the sauce and had nothing to do with it. My friends and I had tried Caesar several times before (we ate croissants, shakshuka and pancakes there), that is, we had been to this place many times, but today we left hungry because the staff had a reaction of "we have nothing to do with this."

Staff not friendly and food was average

Absolutely disgusting food had the chicken and mozzarella sandwich… me and my wife shared this it made me feel sick and I went home and vomited up afterwards really horrible smell of rotten meat. The service was really slow and rude and we were strongly discriminated against by the Caucasian waitress. I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Simple food like scrambled eggs on toast AVOID! no TLC in the simplest of cooking e.g no butter on toast, scrambled eggs very dry 🤷🏽‍♀️ coffee ☕️ is good - I would avoid eating anything there !! That’s bad I have no pics as I returned my food!!!

Very expensive for a latte with soya milk ( almost £5!). Had to pay 90pence extra for soya milk. The lady who served me could have been friendlier and should know about vegan options as she recommended the flapjack to me ( even though it has milk!). The total came up to just under £9 for 1 hot chocolate and 1 soya latte.

Service was really poor, it took them 5 minutes to bring me a slice of cake and 10 minutes for a cup of coffee and my mam got her food and coffee at a different time to me and it wasn’t even busy!

The coffee is awful. I was tempted to buy a take away coffee because it promoted how good their coffee is & the place looked decent. But the coffee was absolutely boiling hot & average at best, actually it was bad. If good coffee is your unique selling point, have good coffee & don’t boil it. The cake I got was good although they asked me if I wanted it heated up, I said no & they heated it up anyway. Not listening to customer & didn't give a damn when I commented that I asked for it not to be heated. Won’t be going there again 😏

How can you justify charging 90p for OAT MILK to your coffee!!!?? It’s unbelievably wrong specially when most coffee places don’t even charge for alternative milk!!! Shame on you!!!

Just ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel to takeaway from the Ilford branch. Think I paid £7.90 for the experience. Hardly any filling. The thinnest layer of cream cheese and the cheapest thinnest salmon they could use. By the time it had been warmed up the cream cheese was dry. In a box which was half filled with rocket. Don't know how you can charge the prices you do. Shameful. Definitely won't be back.

Service should have no star at all. Worst ever staff I've met. Rude & lazy. Ask for tomato ketchup/mayonaise, not available. No sweetener. Ask for a small jug of milk for english tea, she said I didn't mention that I need milk for tea when ordering. Ridiculous. l think she's just too lazy to serve customers. Never eat in this place, inside Ilford Exchange Mall. Food not worth the price at all.

“I’ve visited several times since last summer and really enjoy the food and coffee. However, the customer service could use some improvement. For example, if I want to order another drink while having breakfast, I have to queue at the till, pay, and then wait for it to be made, which disrupts the meal as the food often gets cold while waiting. Additionally, I believe the staff’s attitude and communication could be more courteous and attentive. When I asked for help with ordering another drink, the response felt a bit dismissive. A more helpful approach would make the experience much more enjoyable. Thank you for considering this feedback.”

I ordered fried egg with sourdough bread, the staff gave me scrambled egg. When I questioned the staff they accused me of lying. The staff got a little rude saying, “only this time she will change my order.” I also wanted my tea warned up - the staff said its been over certain amount of time (10 mins+) she cannot warm it up. They were rude and customer service was very poor. (10am staff - 11/11/24)

The quality of the food doesn't live up to the premium price point. A fry up should be easy enough right? Not here. The hash brown came out pale and undercooked, the eggs were too crispy and the sourdough was.... Well, not very nice. The couple things this place excels in is the warm welcoming atmosphere, the really good customer service and the quality of their coffee. The place is good for a sit down and have a hot beverage for a quick social or to power through some work, but I'd be cautious to order food. Seems to be all style no substance. Maybe a change of chef is required.

Dear Sir/Madam, I’m a working professional and was having brunch with my wife. Food was fantastic. However we endured service that was incredibly poor. The waitress advised me to not hug my wife. We were intimidated whilst trying to enjoy our food with constant glares. Customers should not be under surveillance whilst trying to consume food with their partner. Very disappointed how we were treated. It has left us feeling upset.

Hi, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with my partner today. The food was great. Sadly we had poor customer service from one of the waitresses. We were publicly embarrassed because we embraced a hug and were told rudely to distance ourselves. We felt that if we were a different ethnicity / age, we wouldn’t have been asked to act differently. Hope this gets noted and no further customers are treated this way.

For a 'Big brekkie' that costs almost £13 you get one sausage, one mushroom, one hash brown, 2 rashers. You get more tomatoes than anything else. That also doesnt include the cost of your tea. Beautiful place, great location and asthetics but unfortunately thats all you're paying for. Top up your breakfast elsewhere.

In my opinion, this is the best cafe and restaurant in the mall when it comes to freshly made food and coffee. I have been coming here regularly since it opened to enjoy my coffee with freshly made authentic food, and cakes. I have never had coffee this good in any other mall or high street coffee shop. If you are a foodie, I highly recommend coming here for your coffee, cakes, and food.

I ordered an avocado smash the other day and i would highly recommend this dish as it is not only healthy but it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as the food came fast. Would highly recommend this place to someone who may want a quick coffee and a nice lunch.

Caucasian Staff with pink hair wearing glasses was very rude and didnt make me feel welcome with both my children under 3. Constantly moaning and made me and kids feel uncomfortable

The food is poor at this eatery. I had a very dry and inadequately filled Tuna Melt and a poor quality, watery hot chocolate. A real let down. The staff were polite and friendly. This is a Halal eatery.

The minute steak was dry (do not recommend). The chicken burger had a good taste, but not very crispy, I would suggest the chicken breast be replaced with a thigh as it was somewhat dry. However, Andrea did a good job with the taste of the burger and gave me good service. The Cake and coffee was enjoyable (recommend)

Have not got the basics croissant for three weekends in a row 😞 Thanks for a reply, but your chefs used all the croissants to make croissants with fillings of your new menu leaving no plain ones so you're cabinet was full of them.

Food is weird and awful, specifically for vegetarian/ vegans. Very miss leading eg: caramelised onions are not fresh, it’s from a jar… Coffee is okay. Second time coming, so I’ll have to pass on coming again. Ac was also broken, so quite hot.

Jamaica blue in Ilford is a fantastic place for good quality food. The ambiance is really nice, the staff are so lovely, and the changing menu always features some really good options. I’ve come here to have breakfast, lunch and even just coffee. The coffee alone is sensational. From the blue mountain regions of Jamaica, the quality of the coffee is second to none. Truly amazing. Special shoutout to Madalina, one of the best waitresses I’ve seen in the whole UK. Service is always with a smile and she’s always extremely helpful and her energy is wonderful. Also shoutout to the manager, Andreea, she always has been very helpful and very accommodating to altering items to suit dietary requirements every single time I’ve visited. Really wonderful service here, thank you all ☺️

Hi.. came here everyday and sit with a cuppa or a slice of cake. Staff are very friendly. Just wish that when they clean the tables they would spray the cleaning stuff in the cloth. And not over the table As iam sitting.near by it goes over people's food. . . . Thank you

Came here by chance after looking for a coffee place, the coffee was good and service was nice however the cakes selection let it down sadly. The cake was really dry however they did provide cream on the side. The lemon cake was sadly like dryer bread. Everything cost around 20£. There is a number of savory items that looked interesting, I would like to come back and try.

One of the servers was so sweet and she even threw me in some free banana bread! I wanted to pay but she insisted I take it. I haven’t come to this place much but I will now after seeing how amazing their customer service is :)

Previous visits nice , this time however on Friday 19th April. The server created an atmosphere by giving attitude saying “right anything else before I go, I’m alone here! and she mentioned this several times to other customers . To the point that we felt nervous asking for anything further. Sorry but the 2 of us spent over £60 on brunch n drinks here, no need to make paying customer’s feel on edge for daring to ask for something such as sauce.

Steak Stacked + Diet Coke — £16.50 I liked the steak, poached egg with the sauce, mushrooms, turkey bacon and tomatoes. The menu mentioned it is served with watercress, but it is actually served on a bed of lettuce. I felt as if there was too much lettuce and not enough meat. Additionally, the cashier as well as waitstaff during 18/04/2024 between 12:00-12:15 were not friendly. Also, someone else’s order was brought to my table but I had to tell the waitress it isn’t mine.

We had our breakfast here it was really tasty, the food was delicious, fresh and we were served quickly. The coffee was absolutely amazing I really loved it ☕ the atmosphere was cute and it's halal 👌🏻

Food: Coffee Late was spot on as not everyone can make it right. Chocolate twist was delightful to have with fresh cream Service: Great service too, was told too take a seat and my order will be bought to my table. Atmosphere: Great atmosphere, clean and tidy place.

The order was wrong. We had started eating when the manager came over and implied we were to blame. She expected us to pay extra for their mistake and then grabbed one plate of food and said she would throw it away. She refused to give her name. We asked the waitress who seemed scared to tell us. The manager's name is Andrea. A less professional person I would not wish to meet. We will not return. We teach in FE and will use Jamaica Blue by name as an example of bad hospitality and poor manners.

Ordered a slice of cake and it is not fresh and also undercooked. Total disappointment. I would never recomend it.

Absolutely appalled at the service I received today at Jamaica blue. I’m not one to ever leave a review but I was so disgusted and even more so because I work in the hospitality industry myself. I would leave no stars if possible. First of all the table was filthy which the manager put down to it being busy when there was only 6 other tables in there at the time. I ordered a brownie which tasted awful so after my son took one bite I asked if it was ok if we could exchange it for something else, I wasn’t really given an answer the young girl at the till just shrugged it off and said I don’t know. So I asked another server if I could speak to the manager and she responded that the manager was going for a cigarette first and then she will come and speak to me, how unprofessional. When I eventually spoke to the manager she was so rude and when I asked another server for the managers name she told me she was scared to give me her name. It was highly unprofessional, I’m not sure how this woman even got the role of manager and it’s no surprise the rest of the staff are unprofessional if you have someone so incompetent managing the place. Steer clear, horrible staff and the food was inedible too.

Muffin was stale to combat this they warmed it up before giving it how ever this didn’t help much just dried it out even further when it got cold. Coffee is decent. But all in all definitely not worth £8.80 for a coffee and muffin.

I sadly won't be visiting here again. Once again left waiting for my coffee and it was lukewarm at best. When I mentioned this to a member of staff she told me it just been made but they have some regulation rmeaning they can only heat it to 160 f, it did not feel that hot.Also menu has changed and doesn't cater for all sections ofthe community.
