Place was good , clean and less crowded , service is good too I had eggs Benny today with add ons of smoked salmon and mushrooms , all good and fresh the porched eggs Nicely done but sadly the spinach with porched eggs was not washed as some sand came while I was chewing .. really disturbing .

I came here for breakfast...for 13pounds they gave small portion. The food is disgusting.please dont come here.the lady on till told me tht pistasho crossent is their best sweet dish.it was low standard.it was from i dont know from where which place sooo disgusting.i am soo sad i waste my 23 pounds in this place.again dont go there please.

Hi, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with my partner today. The food was great. Sadly we had poor customer service from one of the waitresses. We were publicly embarrassed because we embraced a hug and were told rudely to distance ourselves. We felt that if we were a different ethnicity / age, we wouldn’t have been asked to act differently. Hope this gets noted and no further customers are treated this way.

Dear Sir/Madam, I’m a working professional and was having brunch with my wife. Food was fantastic. However we endured service that was incredibly poor. The waitress advised me to not hug my wife. We were intimidated whilst trying to enjoy our food with constant glares. Customers should not be under surveillance whilst trying to consume food with their partner. Very disappointed how we were treated. It has left us feeling upset.

For a 'Big brekkie' that costs almost £13 you get one sausage, one mushroom, one hash brown, 2 rashers. You get more tomatoes than anything else. That also doesnt include the cost of your tea. Beautiful place, great location and asthetics but unfortunately thats all you're paying for. Top up your breakfast elsewhere.

Very slow staff, I been there 2 times and had to wait more than 30 min for the coffee..

Magdalena one of the waitresses always so pleasant and greets you with a greeting and a smile recommended my friends to always go on her working days.

I ordered an avocado smash the other day and i would highly recommend this dish as it is not only healthy but it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as the food came fast. Would highly recommend this place to someone who may want a quick coffee and a nice lunch.

In my opinion, this is the best cafe and restaurant in the mall when it comes to freshly made food and coffee. I have been coming here regularly since it opened to enjoy my coffee with freshly made authentic food, and cakes. I have never had coffee this good in any other mall or high street coffee shop. If you are a foodie, I highly recommend coming here for your coffee, cakes, and food.

Caucasian Staff with pink hair wearing glasses was very rude and didnt make me feel welcome with both my children under 3. Constantly moaning and made me and kids feel uncomfortable

The food is poor at this eatery. I had a very dry and inadequately filled Tuna Melt and a poor quality, watery hot chocolate. A real let down. The staff were polite and friendly. This is a Halal eatery.

The minute steak was dry (do not recommend). The chicken burger had a good taste, but not very crispy, I would suggest the chicken breast be replaced with a thigh as it was somewhat dry. However, Andrea did a good job with the taste of the burger and gave me good service. The Cake and coffee was enjoyable (recommend)

Have not got the basics croissant for three weekends in a row 😞 Thanks for a reply, but your chefs used all the croissants to make croissants with fillings of your new menu leaving no plain ones so you're cabinet was full of them.

Really recommend this cafe/coffee shop. The sandwiches were excellent- hot & toasty with a side of arugula salad.

Food is weird and awful, specifically for vegetarian/ vegans. Very miss leading eg: caramelised onions are not fresh, it’s from a jar… Coffee is okay. Second time coming, so I’ll have to pass on coming again. Ac was also broken, so quite hot.

Jamaica blue in Ilford is a fantastic place for good quality food. The ambiance is really nice, the staff are so lovely, and the changing menu always features some really good options. I’ve come here to have breakfast, lunch and even just coffee. The coffee alone is sensational. From the blue mountain regions of Jamaica, the quality of the coffee is second to none. Truly amazing. Special shoutout to Madalina, one of the best waitresses I’ve seen in the whole UK. Service is always with a smile and she’s always extremely helpful and her energy is wonderful. Also shoutout to the manager, Andreea, she always has been very helpful and very accommodating to altering items to suit dietary requirements every single time I’ve visited. Really wonderful service here, thank you all ☺️

Eggs benidict could have been warmer but amazing iced latte.

Hi.. came here everyday and sit with a cuppa or a slice of cake. Staff are very friendly. Just wish that when they clean the tables they would spray the cleaning stuff in the cloth. And not over the table As iam sitting.near by it goes over people's food. . . . Thank you

Came here by chance after looking for a coffee place, the coffee was good and service was nice however the cakes selection let it down sadly. The cake was really dry however they did provide cream on the side. The lemon cake was sadly like dryer bread. Everything cost around 20£. There is a number of savory items that looked interesting, I would like to come back and try.

One of the servers was so sweet and she even threw me in some free banana bread! I wanted to pay but she insisted I take it. I haven’t come to this place much but I will now after seeing how amazing their customer service is :)

This place surprised me. It has a halal menu with good brunch options. I tried the peri peri wrap which was tastier than it looked in the counter. Service is good. Would love to come back and try their coffee and brunch menu

Previous visits nice , this time however on Friday 19th April. The server created an atmosphere by giving attitude saying “right anything else before I go, I’m alone here! and she mentioned this several times to other customers . To the point that we felt nervous asking for anything further. Sorry but the 2 of us spent over £60 on brunch n drinks here, no need to make paying customer’s feel on edge for daring to ask for something such as sauce.

Steak Stacked + Diet Coke — £16.50 I liked the steak, poached egg with the sauce, mushrooms, turkey bacon and tomatoes. The menu mentioned it is served with watercress, but it is actually served on a bed of lettuce. I felt as if there was too much lettuce and not enough meat. Additionally, the cashier as well as waitstaff during 18/04/2024 between 12:00-12:15 were not friendly. Also, someone else’s order was brought to my table but I had to tell the waitress it isn’t mine.

We had our breakfast here it was really tasty, the food was delicious, fresh and we were served quickly. The coffee was absolutely amazing I really loved it ☕ the atmosphere was cute and it's halal 👌🏻

Paid £4,70 for a coffee that is not even drinkable. The taste is awful. Avoid this place if you can.

The food is amazing! Especially for breakfast. The food came quickly, maybe within 10mins or so. The people there are also so sweet and kind.

Food: Coffee Late was spot on as not everyone can make it right. Chocolate twist was delightful to have with fresh cream Service: Great service too, was told too take a seat and my order will be bought to my table. Atmosphere: Great atmosphere, clean and tidy place.

The order was wrong. We had started eating when the manager came over and implied we were to blame. She expected us to pay extra for their mistake and then grabbed one plate of food and said she would throw it away. She refused to give her name. We asked the waitress who seemed scared to tell us. The manager's name is Andrea. A less professional person I would not wish to meet. We will not return. We teach in FE and will use Jamaica Blue by name as an example of bad hospitality and poor manners.

Ordered a slice of cake and it is not fresh and also undercooked. Total disappointment. I would never recomend it.

Please teach all of your staff how to make coffee properly and how to steam milk

Absolutely appalled at the service I received today at Jamaica blue. I’m not one to ever leave a review but I was so disgusted and even more so because I work in the hospitality industry myself. I would leave no stars if possible. First of all the table was filthy which the manager put down to it being busy when there was only 6 other tables in there at the time. I ordered a brownie which tasted awful so after my son took one bite I asked if it was ok if we could exchange it for something else, I wasn’t really given an answer the young girl at the till just shrugged it off and said I don’t know. So I asked another server if I could speak to the manager and she responded that the manager was going for a cigarette first and then she will come and speak to me, how unprofessional. When I eventually spoke to the manager she was so rude and when I asked another server for the managers name she told me she was scared to give me her name. It was highly unprofessional, I’m not sure how this woman even got the role of manager and it’s no surprise the rest of the staff are unprofessional if you have someone so incompetent managing the place. Steer clear, horrible staff and the food was inedible too.

Muffin was stale to combat this they warmed it up before giving it how ever this didn’t help much just dried it out even further when it got cold. Coffee is decent. But all in all definitely not worth £8.80 for a coffee and muffin.

I sadly won't be visiting here again. Once again left waiting for my coffee and it was lukewarm at best. When I mentioned this to a member of staff she told me it just been made but they have some regulation rmeaning they can only heat it to 160 f, it did not feel that hot.Also menu has changed and doesn't cater for all sections ofthe community.

Service very poor, food was good but we found hair on our cream, not enough sorry or thank you.. 4 or 5 members off staff talking in counter and my coffee gating could then I have to pick up my self.

Friendly place to sit with friends and have a coffee. All staff are polite and friendly and greet you with a smile. The exchange could make it better by ensuring g that they make sure it shares some of the heat in the exchange. Sometimes, you feel you could be sitting outside. People want yo feel comfortable, so come on, exchange management.

The food was amazing, a very posh place in the heart of the exchange, and the staff were an absolute blessing. The store owner UMI, whilst he is very young, is a very mature and understanding person who makes the best coffees there. Would recommend and you would get your money's worth. (UMI IS SO CUTEEEEEEE).

The staff, vibes, food and drink were absolutely phenomenal. The CEO Boss Umair Saab was extremely friendly and was full of good vibes. It felt like I was with family, greeted with smiles and laughter and I made much pleasant memories there that I can look back on and would love to return to in the future. I would highly recommend taking family and friends to this coffee shop as it has something that other places do not!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Tables were clean, food arrived super quick. There was room for improvement with the food. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, sourdough bread quality seemed like it could have been better. The sausage was abit rubbery. Hopefully the manager can see this and review the ingredients quality because prices do not reflect the expectations in terms of taste. Ending on positive note: Staff customer service was amazing 👌

Nice looking place and decent service but the food was tasteless, bland and pretty simple for a big breakfast for 11.50. Prices too high for Ilford, this isn’t exactly central London.

Found hair in my food. No apologies. Plate was brought back to me and refused refund. Only offered to make another slice of toast and egg but did not acknowledge the fact that there was hair in the food implying that it wasn’t the chefs fault. Save your money and go somewhere with better customer service.

I came to study at the cafe and it was extremely pleasant. The staff is super friendly. The food is good and the lady with red hair was so kind. I will come again because of her.

Absolute disappointment! Overly priced food! Unbelievably charged £9.40 for a regular hot chocolate, a banana & dark chocolate muffin and a bag of small crisp!! Hot chocolate taste like a sweetened hot water and the banana muffin doesn’t have any traces of mashed bananas-just a banana essence flavour to call it banana muffin. Will never go back again and would definitely not recommend. A daylight theft restaurant.

Only had the coffee here. With the branding being all about blue mountain coffee I was expecting speciality coffee and was expecting more to be a bit pricey. I was right about the second one. Sadly the flat white that came out tasted like cheap over roasted beans and the coffee just wasn’t pleasant to drink. Staff were kind and helpful however

Food is ok but service is very slow

Walked in here feeling so low but that changed as soon as I walked over to the till. The lady who was taking my order was so patient and answered all my questions without getting annoyed even when I asked repeatedly. She explained to me thoroughly what options were available to order and made me feel very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed eating it. The lady with the red hair has the most positive attitude and is ever so polite she was very helpful and was more than happy to show me how to use the salt. Her Interaction with all customers are 10/10 she's always smiling and doesn't hesitate to help people when needed my mood has been lifted after speaking to her! I will definitely be coming back here due to the amazing customer service, the food and overall atmosphere 😊 if you come down to Ilford I recommend coming in here you will not regret it!!

No prices on the products When I asked why are no prices the waiter said we move the product around so we don’t put prices I waited 9 minutes for a ready pizza, just be warm up even though it was not busy at that time In the end, I had to ask for it

After walking pass this place a few times, I decided to finally stop by in this morning and have a small breakfast break. The lady at the till welcomed me politely. I ordered a beef sausage on sourdough bread and a small latte, which she brought over to my table. Both were absolutely divine and very enjoyable. The atmosphere was also surprisingly very relaxed and calm. I would definitely recommend this place over than somewhere like Costa or Starbucks. Would definitely go back and recommend this place too. I am not a Muslim, but everything here is Halal, which is quite refreshing to see, as a lot of the coffee shops aren't. 5*****

Disgustingly overpriced. Am a carer was with my client, they charged her £10.90 for a tea and a smoked salmon bagel- even though she only wanted cream cheese on its own, could have given a discount... took 10 minutes to arrive, was just a tiny thing with thin spead of cheese n handful of rocket...for over £7 To top that off, I ordered a coffee that came to 4 50- the soya milk cost an extra 90p!! Daylight robbery, worth going to costa or a local cafe rather than this place

I ordered breakfast and half way through I found a hair in my egg told the staff,she stand over our food pick out the hair and said its from my beard because the staff wear nets she was very rude about it too not eating there again

Went for brunch with my sister and ordered a breakfast meal and my sister ordered a meal as well. It was cooked terribly. The eggs were dry, the bread was hard, the ice tea was so bad I could have done a job better at home. It is highly priced and badly cooked. When I complained I was met with a wall of silence. Don’t waste your money at this branch.

The service was absolutely rubbish, we only ordered 2 kids dishes which consisted of chips beans and 1 sausage, this took 25 minutes to arrive while other people that had arrived and ordered after us had their big meals pretty quick, I needed to take the kids back to school so when I asked why the food took so long, the pathetic answer I got was "It's the chefs fault". The boy serving at the front actually was the only 1 resembling any kinda decent service. The chips were hard and not very nice at all and the bread was overly tangy for some reason. Would not go back again.

Well, if you want to drink one of the most extensive coffee in London, this is the place(£3.8 for Flat white and £0.9 for alternative milk bring everything to a total of £9.40 for 2 coffees. But be aware that the taste is below average .

Nice ambience, friendly staff with what has recently become okay quality coffee. Edit: subsequent visits have shown a drop off in quality and with lattes being provided when flat whites are ordered. These coffees are no longer premium but like most standard high street chains.

Coffee (latte) wad great! Costa in the mall shall step up with their horrible tasting coffees! The cheesecake was blah - tasteless. ALSO there is no prices on the menu and in the end 2 lattes 3 small juices and a chocolate cheesecake -£22. In other places that would be around £15. The lady that brought us our order was very very nice.

If you're a coffee enthusiast in search of the finest brew in town, the café at Exchange Mall Ilford should be your top pick. The atmosphere and coffee flavor exceeded my expectations. The staff is wonderful, and the coffee is fantastic.

The worst staff, the worst experience. Food was probably ok, but I never get to finish it. The most rude waitresses are here.. They took my order without letting me know they were closing in 10 min. They literally took my money and kicked me out 2 min after serving food, while I was eating. Horrendous people, manager should know better and teach staff. Shocked! 😡

We had an amazing time at this place. Such amazing food. Yes, the prices are at the high end, but in line with location and the decor. The atmosphere is very calm. The staff really tried their best to look after their customers. The kids loved the cakes. We will be going back again. Very well done!

I really wanted to try the breakfasts here. It all looks very appetising, but is completely NOT tasty.

Went for brunch, I ordered the Turkish eggs on sourdough flatbread, my friend ordered the avocado with salmon on bread. We both did not enjoy it, my flatbread was dry and hard to chew, not any flavour to anything, very disappointing for £35! The only good thing was the coffee, definitely not going back.

I used to come here for delicious coffee with my granpa because the flat white there used to be delicious but last time we were very disappointed , it wasn't just one time though it happened few times the coffee taste it's not what it used to be like before

The milkshakes are so good 😋. Staff are pleasant, efficient, and food well presented. If you fancy something sweet, I recommend the almond cheese cake; fluffy, not too sweet, his the spot nicely.

By far the best place to eat in ilford if your looking for a coffee shop. Staff very polite and help. My ultimate favourite is the coconut and raspberry crumble absolutely delicious 😋 as is the peri chicken wrap. Which was my lunch today. My go to now in ilford.
