Called in for a quick drink on Wednesday. Noticed after we had ordered drinks that there were fruit flies all over the cakes! There were also flies around whilst we were in the seating area...strange as the place is inside the Arndale so not sure where they were coming from. Coffee was ok. The Milkshake was the only redeeming feature. Unfortunately we won't hurry back.

Nice place 1st time I have been in order tea and toast..served with a smile but teapot leaking..changed for another pot..waited for toast put jam on only to find it was sweet chilli not jam..waited again for fresh toast by now tea was cold didn't get offered another tea only Im sorry

Food was decent but the portion was incredibly small given price and quality. Most staff seemed quite stressed and where generally quite rude, although not directionally.

Coffee was amazing, staff are wonderful, very clean, but food was awful. All cold, overcooked eggs, cold bread, it was a shame. As well as this £1.60 for a slice of bread is extortionate when shakshuka is only £5 something 😟 I ordered extra bread and my food froze whilst waiting for an extra slice. Girl with the blue hair was super polite and gave excellent service, thank you 🙏

I had the Eggs Benny and Chai Latte. Both were delicious. The Eggs Benny came on sourdough with spinach and choice of other toppings, I chose bacon. The eggs were poached well and bacon was well cooked. The hollandaise was so creamy and it was very saucy. The chai latte had a lovely feather decoration. The staff are very friendly and I just love coming here. I highly recommend.

The lovely Tina suggested me her favourite drinks, a mocha with hazelnut syrup and I wasn’t expecting much but now I’m just obsessed 🤩😍 highly recommend!!!

Stopped in here for a coffee and breakfast on the way to the station. Welcomed and told to sit anywhere. When I tried to order a guy with short curly hair said they wouldn't be ready to take hot food orders for another 20 minutes. Thought it was weird, but ordered drinks anyway. I sat back down and then noticed he took hot food orders from everyone else. Not sure why he wouldn't take mine, maybe he didn't like my accent. The coffee was more like two cups of Luke warm milk and the 'loose leaf tea' was a tea bag in a tea pot. I was more offended by this than the poor quality service.

I've been coming to Jamaica Blue for quite some time and I have always enjoyed the fresh food and beautiful cakes on offer. The staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a pleasure to come back. The cafe is fully accessible with seating both indoors and outside. There is ample room to the right of the entrance to park a mobility scooter. This is the ultimate place to people watch inside the Arndale.

I went to Jamaica Blue and ordered two hot drinks, I was served from two staff members, one of them being Ashleigh, both were very rude, not friendly and not helpful at all, definitely not recommend, as the experience I had was very upsetting and not welcoming at all.

Really slow at clearing tables, food order slow at coming out and lefton the pass , was missing three key ingredients but not told at time of ordering. Had to ask for cutlery. Coffee was good

First time in Manchester and decided to stop by here for a coffee because it’s well-presented and has a varied menu. The staff and service were lovely, and the Jamaica Blue Signature Blend coffee was really impressive. Would come again for the good coffee.

We went to Jamaica blue with our son for a breakfast. We order food. Which came very fast , my son loves porridge, but the one served here has cherries and almond flakes .Looks and tastes delicious. However,my boy os on a spectrum of autism and he refused to eat it. I've ordered a plain porridge, which came very fast and the staff didn't want me to pay for it. I'm very impressed by their standards! Thank yoy for the amazing service.We will definitely be back 😀. Highly recommended. 💙💙💙

One of the best mocha and cappuccino ever. I love their coffee beans due to an unique strong Smell. Also I tried the special ginger pumpkin slice which indeed was unique!

Jamaica Blue! If you know anything about coffee, then you'll know that coffee ☕️ from the Blue Mountains of Jamaica is expensive! The first time I tried Jamaica Blue was in Dubai. There was a coffee shop in the Flora hotel. I had to try it. It was about £20 for a mocha made with their finest single origin beans, which were kept in a separate fridge and measured out. The coffee was amazing! Even the ordinary beans were good too. This place, I'm afraid, doesn't compare. I took a walk from my office in Manchester and got a mocha and some beans (£15 for 100g). The coffee was meh. 😐 The beans were meh. 😐 Lesson learned. 😒

Atmosphere was not too bad, but the food was way too little in portion compared to the price. Test was also just okay.

Nice cafe in the Armdale mall. Two lattes £7.00 a bit pricey. They were good though. Friendly staff and clean and well appointed dining area. Full menu if you’re hungry.

Visited yesterday, a busy Saturday in Manchester. The cafe was quiet and we were able to find a table and order quickly. The service was good and the presentation of coffees and food was also very good. The staff were pleasant too. Sadly, saying that, we were still disappointed with our visit. Our order was one blue mountain coffee (black), one latte and 2 coffee and walnut cakes ( which looked amazing). The blue mountain was smooth tasting and hot, and the latte was OK but not as milky as normal lattes. The most disappointing thing was the cake. Beautifully presented with a pot of cream, but nothing like the sponge cake, i expected. It had been kept in the fridge, I suspect for some time and had gone hard, all the sponginess was gone and the cake was more like a flapjack in consistency. The flavour was lovely but nothing like the cake I was looking forward to. Sorry Jamaica Blue, you need to do better.

Initially thought the place serves Caribbean food from it's name, but it is just a normal cafe type of small restaurant that serves an all day breakfast and other snacks. The place is spotless with a cozy welcoming feel. Staff are pleasant and courteous. Ordered an all day breakfast with tea. Slightly disappointed with the breakfast, very pricey for what you get on the plate ( one sausage, small branch of grilled cherry tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms, one harsh brown, one slice of sour dough bread with two fried eggs on top and two to three very small rashes turkey bacon)Bread was very hard and I was afraid of chipping my teeth and the turkey rashers were too crispy. Otherwise everything else were perfect. Tea came in a little teapot with tea leaves strainer in the pot. Tea tasted great! Ordered a slice of Hummingbird cake to take home and it was neatly presented to me in a takeaway box and carry bag. Cake was absolutely delicious with a moist texture similar to a carrot cake but much better. Despite it being pricey, I have loved the experience and would go back again.

Lovely cafe , very clean and the staff are very friendly . I had the pancakes with bacon and syrup, they were honestly the best pancakes I've ever eaten ! Very fresh and tasty . Definitely recommend

Really disappointed in my visit here, I ordered the Blue Mountain blend and it was atrocious, it was burnt and far too bitter for Blue Mountain coffee. The food was mediocre, the best part was infact the decor and location in a busy shopping centre it does offer some peace and quiet.

"Power outlets? WiFi? Clean restrooms? Who needs 'em! Came for the atmosphere, stayed for the sheer joy of being unproductive. Next time, I'll just sip coffee in the dark at home. At least my bathroom's clean with toilet papers ! 😒"

The Manchester branch recently swapped over to only using halal/kosher meat, when that wasn't the case before. I'm very glad those are options for people who need them and I think it's fantastic to include, but turkey bacon and beef sausages taste absolutely nothing like regular bacon and cumberland sausages and just don't really feel like they work with anything on the menu very well. Really wish there was still an option to have the usual pork items, even if it was only on certain days, because I'm going to miss eating here. The drinks are as good as ever, though.

Regresamos para nuestra segunda visita a Jamaica Blue. Las opciones de comida para el almuerzo son geniales! Un menú completo + sándwiches y pasteles frescos en el gabinete. Del gabinete teníamos una ensalada de pasta de atún y un sándwich de mozzarella, tomate y espinacas. Ambos estaban deliciosos! Sin duda se nota que son frescos y las 1-2 libras adicionales para gastar vale la pena. Razón de 4 *: Los baños estaban bastante sucios y tanto que fuimos a otro lugar para un baño.

Very nice quiet place. Can get out of hustle and bustle of Arndale. Amazing food with vegan options. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you’re ok. Would definitely come again

Surprisingly so good. We went on a Saturday so everywhere else in the city was completely fully crowded until we found a spot in here. We ordered delicious coffee and a mocha, a vegan brunch and a big brekkie, all very worth it. Do not miss this place and enjoy a delicious breakfast, great service AND GREAT PRICES!

The lad with glasses was so rude and unprofessional lacked hospitality but the family loved the barista with tattoos and earrings, She has not been here in a while, Where is she gone?? She always took care of us and was so quick and hardworking, the best worker I’m yet to see New workers are awful, what happened??

I met here with my partner for lunch today and experienced some really bad service; the wait time for our coffee was 20 minutes and the order came wrong (2 cappuccinos instead of 1 cappuccino, 1 latte), then only one serving of the two lunches I asked for was brought over. I had asked for two of the same dish but when I brought this to the attention of the staff, the member of staff argued that I hadn’t. I let my date have the lunch and I settled for a chocolate croissant as we were running short for time due to work. I’ve been put off coming back.

Nice ambience, tasty coffee and really nice loose leaf tea. Staff are very pleasant and helpful especially Tina whose smile would melt an iceberg. If there’s a nicer combination of beverages and lovely staff in a Manchester bistro then I’ve yet to find it😍

We had a flat white, latte and babyccino and they were all made to perfection. The barista got the foam just right, perfect temperature and good roast. My cup has a smile all the way till the end. Will come again when we visit the city center next time.

Service was lovely, food is good, however the hygiene is awful in the bathroom: went in, five flies were buzzing around, and a bunch more came out of the sanitary products bin! Absolutely disgraceful, even with all the positives, I can't recommend, because if it's cleanliness is that bad then i dread to think what it's like in the kitchen

Limited menu because of the oven breaking. Understand it’s not the staff’s fault and they were lovely but also the food took ages to be served and it was pre-made and there were flies constantly swarming around the food in the cafe.

Jamaica Blue is located in the Arndale shopping centre, Manchester City. We ordered Jamaica Blue singature latte and mocha, waffle with blueberry sauce & Greek yugurt and American brunch. The portion of the food is not too big but its just fit for my friend and me. The food and coffee tastes good. The atmosphere of the cafe is relaxing and we have had an enjoyable brunch there. When I went there again and ordered American diner breakfast. A bit disappointed this time. The scambled egg was overcooked and the texture was so weired. 😓 **When I took my friends to there today, a little bit unpleasant experience because we got the annoying little flies (ard 3 to 4 little flies flew around our table) when we dine there. Very ANNOYING during the whole meal. I dont think I will go there again in the near future. Except the first time I got satisfacyory food and service there, they cannot keep their service and food in the recent days. **

Firstly, there were flies constantly circling our food. The eggs Benedict was hard. I have dti ask them to redo my scrambled eggs and the sourdough was hard. The staff saw me try and swat the flies away and did nothing. It looks like a nice space to eat, however the above is the reason I'm giving it a 1.

Moose is far better. Was sat at the back. No wifi but many flies. A lad who worked there made the lovely waitress with tattoos cry and It tore me. Giving my brass to Moose who have a better ambience and management. Ta to the waitress though. A shame to see this in person.

I've gone to Jamaica Blue a number of times and I've always had a great experience. The food and drinks have always been good and the staff are always friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the decor is nice. It's a great place to sit down and get some work done with a nice bevvie and a snack.

Food good, reasonably quick service, bit expensive though. Open to the rest of the arndale centre, so a bit noisy and poor atmosphere.

We ordered to full breakfasts. They were Delicious, all quality ingredients. Only down side was you only got 1 slice of delicious bread, 2 slices would have been ideal! Coffee was lovely too.

The waitress with the tattoo was hands down one of the best service received, Unlike other chains Did see her manager yell at her when she was a treat and kept a smile on her face despite biased treatment. Not a fan of him 👎🏻 Decent scran but the tattooed waitress made this memorable

Lovely staff, stressed manager. Whilst being served he spoke to girl on the till rather abruptly about food orders. Very unprofessional. I wouldn’t work here with a manager like that.

Abrupt staff, false advertising of food Absolute rip off as we were charged more than was advertised on the menu Breakfast roll advertised as £4.90 Yet charged £5.90 Admittedly I as for the bacon roll with a coffee at £5.90 but in the small print I was told it was Monday to Friday only It was Saturday so I didn’t get the coffee yet charged for the week day special Nothing was done when I broached the subject, all young people working and told its what’s on the till Avoid it!!

Cafe was well designed. The Mocha had a salty taste, which wasn't really to my liking but the staff were pleasant and the decor was pleasing to the eye.

Something was wrong with my order, they immediately offered a pastry for by the coffee. And so delicious!

Under cooked sausage, overcooked eggs and terrible service ‘rules’ and filthy toilets. Our breakfasts arrived after we had drank our coffees so my Husband ordered another. We were told to pay at the till before we left. The staff were not busy serving with of the other two occupied tables but the coffee never arrived. When we asked, we were told to go to the till to pay for it. So, I left my breakfast to walk the 4 feet to the till, to cast my card over the wireless/mobile card reader. We suggested, in the interest of good customer service, that the card reader could have been brought the 4 feet to our table, thus not interrupting our breakfast. Only to be told, the rules are, food must be ordered at the till. Come on guys! You had more staff than customers at the time! You shouldn’t have taken the order for the coffee at the table if your rules are that stringent. The toilet was closed and we had to use the disabled one. It was very dirty. Faeces over the back of it and urine on the floor! Sorry but that’s not for me. I won’t visit again. It’s my rule, never to pay for poor customer service twice in one establishment

05/01/24 Ordered two ‘big’ brekkie breakfasts and two coffees for £28.50 The two rashers of bacon must have come from a pig of the Pygmy variety. Sausage undercooked. Coffee’s arrived promptly but were both consumed by the time the breakfast arrived. I asked for another coffee but staff couldn’t take my order at the table and insisted I pay at the counter thus disturbing my breakfast. Apparently this is a rule set out by management. It’s 2024 guys, customer service is key, your stringent rules arnt adding anything to the customer experience. A simple wireless payment terminal (common in many retail establishments) would resolve this.

Hey there! So, I just had the most amazing American breakfast at this awesome place in Manchester Arndale. Let me tell you, I've been here a few times, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming, you can't help but feel right at home. And the best part? They serve breakfast all day long, and it is absolutely delicious! Trust me, if you're in Manchester, you've gotta check out Jamaica Blue. They really nailed it!

The Macchiato was undrinkable. The rest of the non-coffee drinks were ok. If you are after good coffee, go to a different shop.

The food was decent, but small portions.! I was lied to by a member of staff when I asked about WiFi and she said try the arndale one - it’s free, it didn’t even show up… How can a cafe not have WiFi in 2023?! Get with the times! Overall not impressed, good for one time thing won’t be back again

Popped in for a cup of camomile tea on a cold day. What a treat it was. The server brought me a tub of excellent honey, which I poured into my tea and enjoyed immensely. Will be back for more!
