This bar is best enjoyed in the summer, when the sun is beating down on you as its outdoor setting make for a great drinking spot.

Visitamos El Long Bar cuando era el Haig Pop Club bar. Fue muy bonito en época de Navidad, ya que estaba justo al lado de la pista de hielo, que nos hacían sentir aún más navideño, llegamos a el bar ya que estaba cerrando pero el personal nos sirvió y ambos tuvimos una bebida e incluso probamos el Haig Club whiskey. Me gustaría volver en el verano.

served drinks in plastic glasses in a metal shed and charged stupid prices why would I return there are lot better venues in the area

Really loved this bar - popped in for a drink after dinner @ Carluccio's & ended up staying for several! Music was great, atmosphere really nice....definitely worth a visit!

Visitamos el Long Bar el sábado por la noche después de ver el espectáculo. El largo bar está situado justo a la salida de Spinningfields Deansgate. El personal del bar era eficiente y amable. Gran ambiente relajado y que estaba bastante concurrida. Buenos precios. En un entorno precioso en el corazón de la ciudad. Se encuentra enfrente del Césped Club que también parece muy bonito. Esta plkace es sin duda vale la pena una visita.

The long bar is a very cool looking bar on Spinningfields over looking Screenfields and the Lawn Club.The bouncers were friendly and funny, the staff ok and the drinks well priced.The bar itself is an island allowing customers to sit at stools on all 4 sides and is very nicely done. However the toilets are 100 yards away (the public toilets as the bar has none).Worth calling in for one on your way somewhere else.

Really nice bar, lovely atmosphere and drinks, would go back next time I'm in manchester and would recommend to friends!

The Mojito cocktail isn't a Mojito. It's a premix that tastes awful. Definitely avoid. Not worth trying at all.

Una ubicación perfecta para un día soleado, relativamente pequeño pero variada carta de bebidas, un buen ambiente y música todos arruinó por lo que sólo puedo describir como "chocante" el servicio.En cuanto al trabajo de bar va, he estado allí y hecho y me dan cómo irritante intoxicados los clientes pueden ser sin embargo, esto no es excusa mal servicio. Me parece que el personal del bar son generalmente no están bien formados, inexperto y lento. Es frustrante cuando la gente alrededor que llegó después de que se sirven antes pero aprecio no es lo más fácil de seguir. Lo que es muy frustrante es cuando las personas que llegan después de las personas que estaban erróneamente servían antes entonces se sirven también antes de que ... la última vez que me registré no me invisible.Pese a estar cerca de I será reacios a ir allí, de hecho no me gusta sentarse en las sillas de terraza y tomar bebidas gaseosas trajeron conmigo. También me recomendó otros hacer demasiado en vez de pasar la mitad del día haciendo fila y ser ignorado en un intento de adquirir una sidra unrefridgerated caro.

he visitado varias veces durante el verano pasado año y espero que el Long Bar se sustituirá por algo mejor esta vez. general el personal del bar era relativamente simpático, los asientos del bar parecían estar teniendo capacidad de gestión, una señora parecía scowl en clientes que me quitó.. Los cócteles eran muy pequeñas para el precio, pero ya que hay muy pocas zonas en Manchester para disfrutar del sol es la última opción de resort. no sería picazón volver

I am writing this as I am sick of having to deal with young girls (especially) who have no manners customer service,politeness ect like the manager YES manager Cassie (whom I was told her name was) Why on earth are people like this working and mixing with the general public ? If you cant treat your customers with respect and listen to what drink they would like rather than ignoring them and waliking away when you dont understand what they are saying you shouldnt be working behind a bar,Simple.If you go to the Long bar please dont ask Cassie for a drink if you cant say "REKORDERLIG cider" she will just get annoyed be rude walk away and not serve you....hence you will get annoyed and then she will get security to throw you out when you tell her shes being rude and not helping.Note to owners make sure your staff are aware of their attitude and tell them to read the bar menu.

Came here on a wet and windy night, it was okay, but not my favourite. DJ played some pretty good music though

Only likes!!! Live DJ local music played both old and new, open to requests. Drinks good value and authentic.

Visited long bar in the summer, either whilst shopping or when watching the tennis. A good location but the weather has an awful lot to do with how good it is. To be honest, not sure if this is just a pop-up bar so maybe other reviewers can assist on that one. The staff are friendly and reasonalby knowledgable about the limited cocktails which they do, however, think the purpose of visiting would be to take advantage of al-fresco drinking, if you want a full on mixologist go to Alchemist. A nice place to meet up with friends and no doubt will do well over the festive period too when the odd mulled wine may be on the cards.

Visited Sunday afternoon - 25/08/13Venue is great... especially on a nice day. Plenty of (outdoor) seating and a great vibe to the place.Unfortunately, the shocking service of the bar staff ruins what would / should be a great experience.I spent 15 minutes (just over actually) waiting to be served! During my time waiting, 2 people who came after me were served before me but I ignored this due to the venue being quite busy. It was only when she attempted to serve a 3rd person before me and that person having the decency to point out I was before them that I mentioned to her the time I had been waiting and the other 2 people who were served first. Rather than the expected apology I should have got, the response from the bar tender was "oh well, I'm here now."!!!Then due to her having a laugh and joke with another bar tender while she prepared our drinks, it took nearly a further 5 minutes for her to make and serve me with a simple Brandy & Coke and a Mojito! In total, over 20 minutes from standing at the front of the bar to receiving drinks in my hand!To be fair, the other staff seemed pretty on the ball and were serving 3 people to each one she did. I was simply unlucky with picking the part of the bar she was serving.When you visit, make sure to avoid the mixed race lady with the large afro hair. Unless you have valuable time to waste!** NOTE TO THE MANAGER ** train your staff to open their eyes, take notice of your customers and learn them that a simple apology goes a long way to maintaining your reputation (which is EVERYTHING in this city).

Really enjoyed our recent visit to the Long Bar. It was a warm & sunny Saturday afternoon and after a spot of shopping we decided to head down to Spinningfields to see what was going on and we stumbled upon this excellent oasis in the middle of the city. Deckchairs on the lawn, flat screen TV which was showing the Golf at the time and a chef rustling up amazing burgers at the BBQ. The bar offers beer, wine and a selection of cocktails, they aren't cheap but probably in keeping with other bars in the city. Because it's al fresco the drinks are served in plastic glasses. I'm not sure if this is just a seasonal thing but if it is staying a while I would definitely go back. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and soaking up the sunshine.

We went on a Friday night and it was quite busy. We liked it as it is different from a normal bar and had deck chairs to sit on outside. The staff were very friendly and one man in particular was so lovely and helpful. We enjoyed our cocktails and would definitely return. I can't comment on the food but would like to try it.

It was a dull day, so there wasn't much happening in Spinningfields and the place was fairly empty. Found it fairly expensive for a drink, particularly Cider.

It was a nice atmosphere but very crowded so limited places in seating area and on deck chairs. Bought two ciders and it was 10.50 so little expensive. Good little venue and fab in the sunshine...not sure in winter though. Staff very friendly.

"meh" is the only word I can come up with with these pop-up bars. Not really sure what is the point. I would be better in a normal bar.

While on a business trip in Manchester I had their lunchtime sandwich special. It was so tasty and reasonably priced I had lunch there several times. Also, the staff was efficient and friendly.
