Jam Down in Wirral

Ordered from Jam down on 5/2/2021 through just eat, order got cancelled. We figured we ordered too late, so was no biggie. Did so again on 5/3/2021. Order cancelled. No explenation. Attempted to call them, rang and rang and no answer. Place can't be bothered to tell us why it was cancelled or even pick up their phone, don't waste your time with them if they can't even give customers the time of day.

Ordered food for delivery, turned up hot and fresh. We ordered a chicken curry with rice and peas and steamed veg, a jerk main dishal , jerk and fried chicken for starters ! Impressed with the standard , think you. We will order again xx

Not had food from here for a while - but we ordered and picked up - great food & portion size. Goat curry well recommended & Jerk Chicken is also very good.

We were recommended this place so went to find it. Really pleased to find nice fresh, well cooked food. Stew chicken nice and tender, jerk spice just right and nice and smoky from grill. Friendly service. Will be going back, now that we know!

What can I say? Authentic, top-quality Caribbean food. Missed the cuisine so much since coming back from London. Only Caribbean restaurant on the Wirral (that I'm aware of) and it's great, shall be returning for more takeout :)

Walked in asked for some jerk chicken the chef said he didn’t have any left but told us what he had left and then offered to cook it fresh and would be about 30 mins, we said ok, it took a little longer just over 45 minutes, food came out was fresh, with the meal we had jerk chicken, rice and peas with steamed veg, 2 portions of plantain, 2 festivals and 1 portion of coleslaw, we also had 2 drinks and the bill came to £25. Good food loads of Potential, if I was owners would put a noise complaint in about the pub next door

Simply terrible over priced nothing good to say anyone who thinks that is a good place is mad a non cook could do better themselfs

food was fairly unedible and i didn't enjoy it. it was supposed to be carribean but was just tough and tastless

It's a shame this doesn't appear to be around anymore. This was a gorgeous takeaway, not greasy and unhealthy like getting a chippy or a pizza. The Jerk Chicken Rice and Peas were phenomenal!

We went in and ordered take away the food was cooked fresh in front of us, really good to see and the take away food was very tasty. Would of liked more plantain.

Food is nice some times, but no consistently nice. Cheap & cheerful. You can take your own alcohol witch is a bonus I have been here lots of time.

Habían significado para probar este café de colores brillantes durante algún tiempo ahora para un así llamado en llevar esta semana. El lugar estaba impecable y el chef era muy cautivadora e informativa. Tuve un tirón con pollo al curry caliente con bonnet escocés añadido servida con arroz y verduras al vapor y un festival (donut) mi amigo tenía la cabra al curry con pan hardough. Ambos platos estaban muy sabrosos y no demasiado caliente. Tenía huesos en ambas carnes, que me pareció un poco molesto, pero mi amigo disfrutamos aspirando con condimentos. Un té muy agradable.

Ordenados de ellos solo con comer, pero no apareció tuve que poner una queja a comer solo para finalmente recuperar mi dinero. Les dimos el beneficio de la duda y pedimos de nuevo pocas semanas después y lo mismo sucedió es una maravilla están en negocios.

Yo estaba atraído por los vibrantes colores de la bandera jamaicana en una calle gris en Nueva Ferry y dando vueltas por este pequeño restaurante justo enfrente de la tienda donde la tarta griffiths que he estado comprando durante años. La comida era excelente, muy bien servida con generosas porciones. Llegué justo después de seis y nos sentamos allí hasta las once charlando con los chefs y los clientes de azar que claramente tratan este pequeño tesoro como un hogar lejos de casa. Nunca desde que trabajo en Tobago he encontrado tan buena carne y ensaladas, Curry pimienta cabra y el festival. Ah, y he dejado el edificio con tres días de suministro de ponche de Navidad, pescado con sal y Akee! Ah Señor puedo ser lo siento, he decirles que este lugar existe. Valió la pena cada céntimo y una sorpresa tan delicioso.
