Woodside Ferry Village in Wirral

Bank holiday Sunday visit. Was hoping to sit outside to watch the war ships & display with some good food & drinks with friends. Turned up to have a selection of independent stalls selling bits inside. Food stalls closed only 2 of the lot open. Bar staff upstairs upstairs lacked customer care & poured the wrong pint. Had 1 drink & left. Lost its touch from when it first opened.

We love this place, something for everyone at reasonable prices.

This is a fantastic eatery with multiple restaurants to choose from all under one roof. Today I chose Mauritian lamb stew and onion bajjhi. It was divine. Highly recommend

Was there to watch the fireworks over in Liverpool we left after 1 minute and 24 second s because a taxi decided to pull right in front of our view very rude 🙆‍♂️

We came on a Wednesday night after seeing on instagram it was 20% off food. Despite this, the vendor charged us full price and said the button wasn’t working on the till for the discount- You shouldn’t advertise this if you don’t plan to honour it. I was then charged £1.50 for a dash of lime cordial which was in a dirty glass - seriously? I still can’t fathom how ridiculous that is. The website states the bar is open until 9pm however it closed at 7pm. Whilst we were eating, staff were continuously cleaning around us trying to usher us out early before they turned the lights off next to us at 7:30. I understand you may want to finish early when quiet but this isn’t a way to treat your customers. We found this so uncomfortable and rude and won’t be returning.

Really nice place, you can see a old U boat back from the war (currently can't enter due to renovations it seems. But its a cozy little restraunt(s) where you have lots of little kitchens selling different foods.

Lots of choice some stalls more amenable than others. Tried to order the Thai but the server said it wasn’t in stock but left the advert/ offer out on display so other made the same mistake. Wings we tasty and well present, spicy chips were a bit steep on price but again tasty.

I got the salt and pepper wrap from the second stall on the left when you walk in. I think it was over priced for a small wrap with 2 pieces of chicken at a cost of £9.50 it tasted nice but left more hungry the size and the price I belive need to be adjusted

This is a great place to visit. There are kiosks with varied food available from around the world. A personal favourite is the Greek counter, but that's because I like Greek cuisine. Lovely views across the river to enjoy and a nice outside space upstairs. There is a cafe cream which is good for coffee and tea. (And amazing ice-cream) Upstairs there is a bar and a separate cocktail bar with a good selection of cocktails if you fancy a more adult drink. Some of the kiosks have changed since u was last here, sadly the Greek outlet has gone but it is still a nice place to visit. We went on a cold day this time but with the large windows upstairs we still enjoyed the view.

Loads of different little food outlets here, with many different varieties of food all very reasonably priced. Loads of seating around the venue and a great atmosphere

Such a hidden gem the food is fabulous many vendors all cooked fresh service is excellent disabled friendly with wheelchair access we went at 1pm Thursday ferries aren’t running at the moment hence lower score for the atmosphere but I’m sure it’s busier evenings and weekends we will definitely return well worth filling in the feedback forms we won from a previous visit 👍well done Woodside Village you are doing a great job 👍

Great little find! Tucked away and unassuming from the outside but so pretty inside, wonderful atmosphere, comfy seating, great variety of food and drinks, good WiFi and even a live jazz band

One year since our last visit,so different,the outside stalls which had been so alive & vibrant last year are now deserted & some vandalised,there were stalls inside & the atmosphere was good making for a fun day although the music outside was a bit loud for some. Will the area improve once the ferry terminal refurb is done,watch this space!!!

What a shame that this place isn’t working out. Used to have lots of different food places and a good vibe, but it doesn’t seem to be working and most are shut down now.

Had made a booking back in April for a 60th Birthday celebration. Tried to get into contact to ensure everything was still okay with the booking, which was nigh on impossible over the phone. When we finally managed to make contact over a message, we were plainly told that the venue would be closed due to a private function and there was no apology offered. Imagine if we had all just turned up to the booking. We are now left trying to find somewhere else to celebrate just 3 days prior. Not impressed at all with their lack of regard.

Had a few drinks with a fabulous vegan chickpea and potato curry with salt n pepper fries from Davina's kitchen and Husband and nephew ate a burger and pulled pork from the other vendor. Followed up by vegan ice cream.

Popped in for a coffee for us & ice cream for grandchildren. Service was very slow as there was only 1 member of staff.

Hopeless and going downhill fast. The village used to be a varied and enjoyable eating experience with some great food. Now there’s a burger place, a sandwich stall, accompanying Mauritian and Vietnamese outlets. The Vietnamese place is dreadful - avoid and save your money. This “street kitchen” uses the traditional Saigon technique of the microwave! I got a bowl of tasteless, chewy beef lumps, a bit of carrot in a brown fluid, all topped off with a pile of stodgy overcooked rice. The two staff were absorbed by their social media on their phones rather than any sort of customer interaction. Other members of my party had a great sandwich from Graze, so not a total loss. Unfortunately one or two decent food outlets are not enough to save a good idea being run into the ground. A visit to the Baltic Triangle shows what could be achieved.

Just been here for a late lunch , it was fabulous. The food was gorgeous and very tasty. Staff were so friendly and had time to chat. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Would recommend a visit and support this lovely business.

I was here for a function , and there lots of food varieties in the food hall and a stunning roof terrace overlooking the river Mersey and real nice staff

The food stalls are great here, walking past outside you wouldn't even know what was inside, we had the dirty burgers and the noodles both fantastic, they have a bar upstairs as well for a cheeky pint, ice cream and coffees to finish rounded off our visit perfectly, if your passing highly recommend calling in for a look around

There was a craft market on when we got there and it was very cramped and busy. Had already eaten so just walked around and went home. Will be back though

Great place, a few different food stalls where you can order from. Great views over Liverpool Outdoor seating too which would be great on the summer

First time visit, just stopped for coffee and a look around. The food looked delicious and not too expensive, there is a bar upstairs which was quite popular. Worth another visit to sample the food and see the views across the river.

I visited here on Friday with my husband after us visiting previously & really enjoying the venue however this time it really wasn’t the same. I visited on a Friday lunch as I wanted to sit on the roof top balcony while we had some nice sunshine. we only wanted a soft drink so we made our way upstairs to the bar the look we were met with was the opposite of friendly, I assumed this woman worked here but she certainly wasn’t dressed for it, she had a short blue dress on & was sat with what seemed to be a work laptop, we were greeted with a not so friendly look from her as she was yelling orders at the workers, a young girl tried to serve me on the bar as it was quite busy but she was soon interrupted while serving me by this same woman, I must say the way she spoke to the poor young girl was very disrespectful I could see she was upset, The whole atmosphere seemed rushed & chaotic, we left disappointed as we’d been for dinner only a few months before & loved it. not to mention the disabled access lift being broken, my husband has trouble with his legs & had to use the stairs, I understand things break but this is the second time we have visited & the lift was out of use

If I was back in my 20-40s I'd have been there a lot, as an old hippy, biker, seemed quite a cool alternative to be, I went there by mistake, seemed like a head shop full of stalls like a bike rally or small festival

Absolutely rubbish experience. Booked a table and when we arrived there was no staff to show us where to go. I told the guy at the bar we had booked and his reply was “ I’m not interested, sit where you want” not a good start. Outside was filthy, tables full of glasses, no one collecting them. We tried to get vegetarian food and every time my husband went down to order no one was there to serve him. He went down 3 times in about 25 minutes. Would not recommend and will not go again. An hour was enough and taxi on to somewhere better 👎🏻

Stumbled on it, killing time for the boat home Didn't eat there but, you have a good choice. Couldn't grasp why the U-boat Museum was closed? It seemed, well worth a visit ?

Great up and coming place that serves street food and more. Bar upstairs as well. Great views to have a meal with.

Ok, coffee shop is good, great ice cream too. Not much atmosphere but views over the Mersey are lovely.

Brilliant place to have a drink with a great view

Visited today for lunch. Wanted to say 5 stars to Server Ziek who was on his own was amazing and apologetic for length of time waiting for food/drinks. Toasties tasty but bill bit pricey for 2 people.

I ordered some Shumai and my sister some Gyoza and I genuinely think it's one of the best places to get this type of food! Combining Haku's food with the bar upstairs and the terrace with sunshine, perfect day! Highly Recommend!

We love this place, amazing atmosphere, and friendly staff. We opted for burgers at the ODB vendor, although pricey , they were lovely. Great place. Free parking after 6pm.

Excellent place for a beer and food looking across the Mersey. Family atmosphere and well worth a visit. Parking is a bit of a chore as you have to ring up or go on line as there is no ticket machine.

Great venue with a range of food options that will meet most requirements. The ground floor hosts the independent food outlets with seating upstairs and some outside. The seating upstairs offers great views of the Liverpool skyline and any ships docked. Forked up offers fantastic vegan food, the bao buns and rice bowls are particularly special. The venue frequently hosts markets at weekends.

Forked Up Vegan kitchen... so far waiting for 45 minutes. Be aware that however few customers appear to be present in Woodside's interior, the staff may be preparing orders for takeaway collection. Not particularly cheap and portions not particularly generous. Options limited by not all ingredients being available today!

Katsu curry was amazing, the salt and pepper squid was ruined by beings saturated in salt. But on the whole good food

We chose the Forked Up eatery, there are others, but the service was friendly and welcoming, the food taste great and prices are reasonable. Would recommend

There's a veggie outlet here that does jarg chicken and blag beef. The food is boss!

Only few food stores but good selection from each, esp the vegan food (fork it). The mauitious food was medioke, had the chicken byrani, good portion but mainly all rice, only had 1 piece of chicken in it, for £9, think it's a bit over priced. All in all, if you fancy a place with good view of Liverpool, this is the place to go, food wise it ok

We booked a Galentines bottomless brunch as a change of scene from the usual Liverpool venues. We enjoyed an amazing experience with great food, a choice of drinks and exceptional service. Beth, Hannah and the rest of the team really looked after us. The venue itself is really lovely with its fabulous view over the Mersey by day and fairy lights by night. We were really impressed and will definitely be returning whether it be for a similar event or just because we can!

We,d heard good things about this place so we gave it a go sat upstairs for the view tried the food chicken gyros was nice came with chips salad wrapped in flatbread plus sweet and sour chicken think for something different it's defo worth a look

Bloody great sharing lunch. Brilliant place with food for all tastes.

Food not cheap and comes in small portions, so you don't come here with a hungry family. Visitor's centre has allowed U-boat to become plagued with pigeons, putting you off sitting on balcony. So much potential in this place, too.

Tables could do with a clean. It was a Sunday so not sure if less staff on. Was off putting to see other people’s rubbish on tables and the floor. Food stall staff seem to be lacking in enthusiasms. Place therefore seemed tired.

Great venue with views of the river Merseyside and the Liverpool waterfront. You can grab a coffee or choose from a large selection of ice cream from an award winning ice cream maker. There are other food choices and a bar should you fancy a tipple.

Fantastic venue. Forked Up is the vendor to visit. It's literally the most delicious Asian fusion food I've ever had. The owner, Carleigh, started from home during lockdown and has gone from strength to strength. It's well worth popping over from Liverpool or from anywhere around the Wirral.

Love that place, food is very good. Sunday market is well worth a visit too.

I have visited here twice recently and on both occasions the food was fab. Staff are all lovely as well. It's a bonus that it's also dog friendly will definitely be visiting again soon

Food was reheated, overpriced. Vendors too busy talking to each other and slagging other vendors off than serving customers. Been here a few times and it’s gone down hill. Would not come again

Contacted them to inform them that my dad is terminally ill and can only eat soft foods. Last time we visited, the vendor had now left. So requested if another vendor could make an omelette. They not only said no but made no effort to offer or help in any other choice. I was so upset. As a result it caused disagreement in our family. No longer speak to family member as result. Food choice here is not worth price. Especially disappointed in that new Greek place. Portion size is awful and overall customer service is poor here.

My friend went to woodside as she'd heard me saying how lovely the food is, I wish I hadn't bothered because she didn't have a good time. Said she had no idea how to order and nobody was around to ask. When she worked it out she saw all three staff walk outside together apparently for a cigarette. When they eventually came back they said they had no food left. She chose something else but there was no forks but loads of spoons. Found someone to ask and was told to go and look upstairs. Turns out there was a fork under the table. Went for a tray that was mucky and full of water. I don't think she'll be going back. Said the food was very nice when she eventually got served. But there didn't seem to be anyone in charge. And the toilets were a bit rough too.

This hidden gem didn't disappoint. They really don't shout about the wonderful food choice. When we visited, an art and craft fair was on and it was full of local designers and craft-makers. Highly recommended

Chose the Italian option, tasty and spicy prawn dish, my daughter had an excellent creamy pasta. Must be very popular as at 6pm no olives or bread left. Great venue with amazing views of the River Mersey and Liverpool seafront. Many seating options are available, including outside in good weather. Highly recommended. Booking advised via the website.

Absolutely love this place. Its great for date night. But take your wallet with you. The drinks are not cheap at all. But food is delicious. Wouldn't reccoment the Italian place. The guys in there done know the name of linguini they called is carbonara pasta. As a ex chef i knew instantly id made a mistake ordering. Ended up with pennè pasta as i agreed but i literally ended up leaving it and eating other thing's i ordered. Id advise to download the application woodside ferry village on your app store. Bon appetitè.

Had the rice bowl Korean chicken, could barely bite the chicken so over fryed and greasy, total waste of money, never again

Nice view of Liverpool. With possibility to eat and drink. This makes it easy to wait for the ferry. From there we took an ancient double-decker bus to the transport museum
