Whatever is going on here? Abysmal service and a don't care at all attitude.Food very late, cols and tasteless. No way they would serve this to their grandparents

I got the veggie korma + paneer, with cheesy naan and pilau rice! SO GOOD I can't stop thinking about it haha!! Delicious, definitely will be ordering again!

Yet again another perfect meal from Club Jalfrezi ... Hot ...Tasty ... the best chicken tikka ever with gorgeous chips no old fat in their fryers ... gorgeous peshwari nan and rice ... cant believe i didnt find this place earlier .... perfect .

Delicious food. Lamb chops and chicken tikka perfect and moist and tender. Tandori prawns good too. Very good chef. Delivery driver badly prepared as DIDNT have correct change which he could have planned. This made it awkward with social distancing and is definitely a negative really. He had to ring back o the office and caused an issue. Lately takeaway deliveries are better and smoother and safer for covid 19 - this wasn’t the case in this instance. Have the right change on you.

We were left with one person not eating as we specifically put in the comments no mushrooms due to allergy, she could have had a serious reaction, NOT COOL

The only good thing was the plastic dish, at least can reuse . £.80p for 1 stale poppadom !! £3.50 for 4 x stale Pakora, with a handfuls of lettuce! The curry warm! Disappointed

Used to be my second favourite place to order a curry from, as my title says - I wouldn’t order from there again even if they begged me.. ordered through the Uber Eats app.. few times requested an update on our delivery as it had passed the time it said it would be delivered by.. requested a few times for an update, but still had no response from them so decided to give them a call.. rang them up and they answered, gave my name and address ( surely that would bring up all the details regarding the order ) the guy who answered seemed like that they hadn’t even received the order as he questioned where it was from, yet answered with the wrong platform that was used. So after ‘realising’ we had placed the order said that it would be another 40 minutes after we had just waited 45 minutes with no update on delivery and no food. The guys attitude was terrible, no sorry, not bothered at all from the tone of voice, all that was said was that ‘we’re busy - everyones ordering, you must understand the situation we’re in’... seeing some other reviews, looks like it happens alot. Be warned!

I ordered our food for 5.15pm through JustEat. The confirmation e-mail came back saying that it would be with us at 5.30pm and it actually arrived at nearly 5.45pm. The delivery guy had phoned as he was leaving to at least tell me that he was running late though, some places wait for you to phone them. I ordered a chicken biryani, tandoori chicken with mint yogurt and salad, a popodom and a cheesy garlic naan. The naan bread itself was the nicest bread I've ever had I think, but there was very little garlic to it and no cheese that I could see. The biryani was quite plain, a little onion with rice and chicken and they'd gone overboard with the curry powder as all you could really taste was curry powder, it had no real spice to it, just heat which meant that my kids wouldn't eat it. The sauce that came with the biryani was just odd - it was a tomato sauce with lots of tinned veg in it. The chips were cold. The popodom comes as is, with no chutney/yogurt/onion relish, luckily we had a jar of mango chutney in. The tandoori chicken was lush, it arrived hot, it was really tasty without any real heat so the kids loved it especially with the minted yogurt. The salad that they refer to, however, was literally a plastic bag with a handful of warm soggy lettuce in it, needless to say that didn't get eaten either. This was the first time of ordering from these and I don't think I'd order again.

30 minutes late but marked as delivered at the time it was due be delivered. Attempted to contact the takeaway but line was engaged for 20 minutes. When it did arrive however, it was hot and very tasty

Absolutely beautiful food. Mixed starter was gorgeous. Bhuna lovely as was the special pilau rice. came earlier than they said which was good. Just wouldnt have the chips again but was being greedy getting them anyway. Defo order again.

Awful. Curry was too sweet, rice was incorrect and full of water from not being drained correctly, the GARLIC naan I ordered was not garlic it was plain. The thing that annoyed me the most, I ordered 3 sips (onion, mint, mango) and poppadoms as a starter, they sent ONE poppadom that was smashed to bits, so I paid £2.70 for one poppadom. Tried to call them but got no answer, all in al really disappointing, there’s hundreds of curry houses in Stoke, avoid this one.

Well firstly just eats app will not allow me to change my address so my order went to my old home but the restaurant soon fixed that for me. The food was delicious and even though it has about an extra 5 mile trip was still piping hot. The tikka mossala was beautiful and so was the peshwari naan. The rice was a little watery but all in all would definitely use again and recommend. Well done guys

1st time we order was great 2nd time after 2 and half’s hours order was wrong and cold told you call up next time. Did only to be told order online be hour wait - 4 and half hours later it turns up - wrong no extras disappointed with the food - will not order there again shame

Understand that they maybe busy on a Saturday night but we ordered at 18.55 and it arrived at 21.30! Completely gone past it at that point, the food was lukewarm and the tikka massala was a korma/coconut flavour! Very strange! But main thing was service for us. Very slow and no contact number to get through to.

1 he 34 minutes and still waiting, ok, things are bad but daughter ordered from different place and web and delivered within 20 mins, if you can't deliver then don't take orders.

NEVER TURNED UP Over 2 hours 30 mins and can't phone through as phone engaged . Eventually talked to them and they said about to cook it ! (Now 22.30 at night !) Asked for refund and they said can't do it from Thier end through app, tried web and still can't get refund have to call just eat , it's 23.00 now no food and on hold waiting for refund. Terrible mess and not the only customer experience this , why take orders of you can't so them in 3 HOURS !! Not excuse to say busy or over worked , just don't take orders then and grab people's money .

Shocking. We are now 2hrs late, and despite 5 phone calls and someone telling us it’s 5 min away it’s not here. Our friends warned me of this and yet I ordered. Please if you’ve had this problem speak up.

Took 3 hours for the order to turn up, after they changed the delivery time once it then exceeded this and we rang and they said they were waiting for a driver to come back. It then took a further hour after this! The food was alright when it turned up, but everything was overspiced for what was described, we ordered mild curries as my dad has problems with his mouth, and the curries made his mouth very painful so he had to leave it all.

It’s been three hours and six minutes since I ordered and I’ve still not received my food. If this isn’t the best curry of my life (if it ever arrives) it doesn’t even deserve 1 star

Decent jalfrezi, a bit sweeter than other curry houses, a good kick though, plenty of green chilli to smash through, and enough meat, and not swimming in ghee. A note on a portion sizes, one main is not really enough for 2 people. Nice pilau rice, and the sag and Bombay potatoes were soft and perfectly spiced. The nan bread....we had garlic coriander nan, which in truth was a bit doughy, nice, but I prefer it thinner. We ordered on a Wednesday evening, was told 1 hour for delivery, and it took an hour and half. The delivery driver apologised and with everyone locked in at the minute it’s understandable that more people are ordering , times are going to be longer, it would be better to say that at point of order. We will order again, and I can recommend this curry house, but perhaps we will order earlier next time.

I specifically asked for no-contact delivery because I'm immunocompromised. I got it a whole HOUR late (two hours in total), and the delivery driver wasn't wearing gloves of any kind, let alone disposable, and he proceeded to open my front door as I shouted 'you're meant to be doing no-contact delivery' from my stairs. They also charged me 1.60 for literally 2 broken up poppadums. What the heck. I don't even know if I can eat this food. Can I trust the restaurant's hygiene practices...?

Brilliant tasting food, brilliant service and prompt delivery. Have spent about two years looking for a new curry place since our last one closed down and we’ve found it.

We ordered through just eat and had an order confirmation from jalfrezi with a delivery time of 9.20 (1.5 hours after ordering). Not a problem if the food is hot and tasty. 2 hours plus later, still no food or extension to delivery times. Tried ringing the restaurant to get a line busy signal. No food or explanation from either the restaurant or just eat! SHOCKING SERVICE

Food was lovely - however was delivered three hours late.

Food was average. Order took 2hrs 25 mins to arrive, originally told 45 mins. Their reasoning "we were busier than expected" - easy, when you get busy, stop taking orders!! Will find somewhere else next time.

This is the best tasting curry ever. Never lets me down. Really good delivery time considering pressures they are under. Excellent

We Ordered food at 19:37 and it finally arrived at 23:15!!! If I had known how long it was going to take I would have cancelled it! They said I would receive it in 40 minutes on the just eat page before I placed the order, after I placed the order it said it would arrive at 21:00! At 21:30 I asked for an update on the order and they said it would arrive at 22:10! At 22:30 I finally got through on the phone and they said it would arrive "any minute now as the driver just left"! Despite the previous update saying 22:10 the driver hadn't even left. At 23:15 (3.5 hours later) it finally arrived with the wrong drinks to the ones that we ordered and the food was cold! I appreciate the current circumstances may lead to higher than usual orders but as a delivering restaurant you should be able to provide accurate estimates on delivery times and not take orders on false information! I don't know many people who would appreciate their dinner at 23:15!!!

Food was four hours late. Called at 10.50 to be told it’s just being cooked. We had already allowed a long wait when we ordered at 7.45 expecting it at 9.10pm. It was actually delivered at 23.38! And there was an item missing from our order!

Would never be ordering from here again. We ordered our food at 6:30pm, we had a delivery time of 7:35pm for it to be delivered. By 8PM we called the restaurant, a man answered when asking where our delivery was he said it need like 45 more minutes we are busy’ in a rude manner. We waited. At 8:50 we rang again and a lady answered who to was also rude and said ‘it will be with you in 20 minutes, we are the only take away that’s open tonight’ again in a very rude manner. We finally got our food at 9:3PM! 3 hours late! When it arrived the poppadoms were all smashed up, the cheesecake was still frozen. It waS awful! Would definitely not recommend!

Been 2 hours 20 mins at the time of writing, still no food. Ordered at 19:50 currently 10:10. Can't contact the restaurant as their phone is off and has been for the past hour. No idea if I will get my food, can't get in touch with just eat either. I get there is a lockdown at the moment so it must be difficult but this is an absolute joke

Awful delivery service ordered at 6.25pm online app said will deliver around 7.50pm app updated at 8.10pm to say delivery had changed to 8.40pm..9pm still hadnt arrived had to ring up twice..finally delivered at 9.25pm 3 HOURS 🙈🙈

Horrendous. We placed a fairly small order at 18:02, under the impression that we'll have delivery in an hour as the restaurant advertised At 19:15 I received a notification letting me know that the food was en route. Great. I live 15 minutes from here, however come 19:45, there was still no food. Rang them up to which I was told that it would be a further 15/20 minutes as it was still being prepared. Half an hour later, still no sign of the food. After calling again, I was told it'll be another 15 minutes. At the time of writing this, the order was placed over 3 hours ago, and has been labelled as "delivered", this is not the case. Avoid at all costs.

The food was over 2 hours late so cancelled the order with the takeaway and cannot get through to just eat to get my card payment back

Placed an order around 6.45 on just eat, still waiting for the delivery at 9.20, and have just been told it is going to take half an hour more. The order status is updated as having been delivered and when I called the restaurant, I was told to cancel the order. How do I cancel an order that has already been delivered? The person I spoke to was extremely rude and said he was doing a community service being open at this time of lock down. Clearly if they can't cope with the number of orders they can cancel? Or at least not update the status as having delivered? Never ordering again.

Waited an hour an 50 minutes for a madras to arrive I called after an hour and 10 mins and the girl said it just left.. I’m about 10 minutes away by car. Anyway.. after that I waited until it was an hour and 50 Minutes wait.. i then called and said I didn’t want it the food. Politely. And the lady said she’d tell the driver. And then the delivery driver arrived 2 minutes after I called. I did not answer the door. Then this morning I have a large key scratch down my car (it states what car I have on delivery info).. coincidence

We have used festive Thai before and we're honoured to be the first customer of the new owners of Festive Thai. The food was absolutely amazing the phad Thai was awesome as was the Massaman curry. Definitely recommend

Ordered food at 7pm, got delivered just after 9pm. Had a message saying it was on the way at 7.42pm, called at 8.20 to be told it had left the premises and should be their in 10-15 mins, just after 9pm it was delivered. Not good really.

Order from here quite often and usually has really good food. I ordered a 'Chef Speciality' curry (Naga Chilli Chicken - One of my favourite curries...) at a higher cost than a standard curry, which left a lot to be desired, the curry was bland, only mild spice with near to no flavour. There wasn't much chicken in it either. The mushroom rice wasn't much better as the mushrooms were barely cooked (the heat of the rice may have cooked them to that point in all honesty.) If this was my first time ordering I wouldn't come back and the rating would be much lower. The Naan bread and onion bhaji was very good though. All in spent over £20 for a lesser quality curry than a £9 curry deal from a competitor. If I hadn't waiting so long for it to arrive and being so hungry at this point I would had sent it back. - Usually I'd keep half for left overs but I think I'm gonna let the bin have this one. - Very disappointed customer :(

Ordered sweet potato fries, was charged for sweet potato fries, delivered regular fries, food was 30 mins late, but other than that was very good and full of flavour.

Almost 2 hours late. After about 1 hour after initial delivery time the restaurant called to say the pizza oven was broken and they will deliver in 20-25 mins. After 45 mins I call them back to hear that the driver just left. Got a free pepsi and chips(already had ordered chips so got 2) because they were late. Pizza had wrong ingredients, burger was not eatable because the bun was extremely moist, everything tasted old including the 2 portions of chips. Never again.

Lovely food. Always hot on arrival which is where other restaurants seem to fail. Food is really tasty and fresh and good sized portions. Definitely our favourite.
