We’ve been twice to Jaipur Kitchen now since it opened and we were so pleased to see the return of Mr Wahid and his team! The original chef from Jaipur Palace is back and the best curry in Plymouth has returned. Both eating in and taking away, the food is fabulous. Great value too. Naan and rice included when you eat in. I cannot recommend highly enough. Pay them a visit when you next have that curry craving!!

Went to Jaipur kitchen with my husband and daughter for pre theatre dinner. Don’t expect to much in way of decor , very basic, but oh my the food was the best we have had in Indian cuisine in a long time. We all had different dishes and sometimes in Indian restaurants the food tastes all the same. These were all very different and absolutely delicious. £15.95 for a main with a pilau rice and a nann bread, excellent value. Go and give it a try, we will be back for more.

Once again Mr Wahid, who is the manager of Jaipur Kitchen, has come up trumps, The quality of the ingredients, especially the lamb and chichen which are of the highest quality, leaves other Banglasdeshi and Indian restaurants trailing in its wake. This applies not just to those in Plymouth but in Devon & Cornwall and the wider south-west. Given that the sourcing of the ingredients is so well executed it is also good to know that the chef in the kitchen is Foyez, who was also the chef at Jaipur Palace in Vauxhall Street, is once again plying his trade to great effect. So far I have eaten four times at Jaipur Kitchen since it opened and the great thing is that it is consisently excellent. I tell you dear reader that Plymouth is so very fortunate to have Jaipur Kitchen. I hope people try it. Incidentally back in the early 1970s Mr Wahid was the first person to open an asian shop in Plymouth, now fifty years later he has gone full circle and is back where he started in Cornwall Street. Brilliant.

We were fans of the Jaipur Palace in bretonside before its retirement closure so 3 years later we were delighted to learn that the chef had returned to Plymouth and opened this new venture in Cornwall Street. We had high expectations and were not disappointed. Reception , service and ambience were of the same high Jaipur standards. The food was equisite and superbly presented. A brilliant evening and it was great to see familiar faces - including one who is supposed to be retired! Thank you.we will be back.

Last night dinner for four in this newly opened place. prawn puri, chicken pakoras and chilli garlic prawns for starters and then prawn puri, chicken vindaloo, tandoori prawns and chicken jalfrezi mains. Comes with rice and the best nan breads I have had in ages. This is chefed by the now closed Jaipur from Bretonside. Food is as good. You can tell this place is newly opened, no licence as yet, and still some dressing up to be done, but if you want a quality, delicious meal this is the place. I look forward to seeing how it develops and hope it does well .
